Jisung's eyes burnt holes onto his ceiling as he laid on his back in the comfort of his bed, for hours now. Minho's words from three days ago circulated through Jisung's mind, overshadowed by thoughts of the mysterious notes he had been receiving. To top it off, the brunette really missed Felix.

That day, Felix was terrified, to say the least. Just at the mention of his 'nightmare', he had clung onto Jisung in fear, on the verge of crying. The sight made Jisung's heart wrench. So he had suggested Felix should take a few days off if he was that scared of Changbin. And the blond immediately agreed.

Yet here Jisung was, on the evening of his third day without Felix, intensely regretting his very own suggestion. I could've protected him, so stupid.

After a groan, Jisung sat up and gazed at his window. He felt empty, and he wished he knew why. He had also been half-expecting Felix to show up at his doorstep like he did that day, but it never happened.

As much as he knew it was for Felix's safety, he still couldn't help but miss everything about the boy, from his shy smile and ruffling his soft hair, to just, his presence in general.

Jisung walked up to his desk and settled onto the rolling chair. He grabbed his chemistry textbook and opened it, immediately finding a familiar note. It was the note he received on the day Minho had warned them.

8/ with every new note you see in your locker, felix gets one step closer to being destroyed.

Reading over the words again, Jisung felt a familiar sense of foreboding surface in him, like a little seed of paranoia being implanted in his heart and mind. It continued to grow, and the more he saw these notes, the worse it made him feel. He wanted Felix to be in his reach, where he can watch the blond be safe, and protect him if something were to happen. Something about the way the anonymous person addressed Felix by his name troubled Jisung. The way it seemed like the person knew Felix.

Jisung knew he wouldn't let Felix be destroyed, he knew he'd throw himself away to make sure the blond is safe from pain. And it scared Jisung, how much he was willing to do for a boy he hadn't known for too long. It scared Jisung that he had grown overly fond of Felix, but he knew Felix was just as attached to him, as he was to the boy.

After placing the note on the wooden surface of his desk, Jisung flipped through the pages of the thick book. It wasn't difficult to find the remaining three. Jisung placed the three notes in the order he received them, reading each for the umpteenth time. He felt like something was off, something was strange. Like the notes were some sort of clue or code he had to decrypt, although Jisung continued to shrug it off.

After a tense while, the brunette pushed his chair back and rose to his feet, lazily stretching with a yawn. He had school the next day, and really didn't want to let some anonymous person play tricks on his mind and distract him from his college life.

Deciding to call his friends over to hang out, Jisung headed out of the room, leaving the notes as they were on his desk.
