"What?!"

Immediately realizing he was too loud, Jisung slapped a hand over his mouth. He was sure Hyunjin must've dramatically pulled the phone away from his ears.

"Please don't damage my eardrums, idiot."

Jisung rolled his eyes back, although Hyunjin couldn't see him. He turned on his back and now faced the ceiling. "But for real? They actually sent him to a psychiatric hospital?"

"Yeah.. And Lee Know would've gone too because people started speaking up about those times he used to bully as well. He should be glad Chan is rich."

The brunette remained quiet for a moment. "But Minho... Minho doesn't seem like Changbin.." He paused, hearing Hyunjin hum in response. "Changbin is legit crazy. Definitely needed some help, so I'm relieved he's gone."

"Why are you awake at five again?"

Jisung stared daggers at his ceiling in the barely lit room. The sun had just emerged, and it was finally Monday. He heard Hyunjin sigh on the other side of the phone. "Dude.. Those crackers you brought yesterday tasted good.."

"Jisung. Answer me."

With a click of his tongue, Jisung whined, "I don't know I miss Felix."

"He's literally in the same house!"

Flinching, Jisung snatched the phone off his ear. "Fuck that was loud.." He frowned, annoyed.
"Look.. He's been avoiding me for the past three days. He's only spoken a word to me! Like how does he do that? Does he not love me? I'm so done! And I'm glad I can move today. I'm gonna capture him."

A high pitched laugh was heard, making Jisung flinch again.

"A word! How amazing. What was it?"

Jisung hated how he could feel Hyunjin's teasing smirk through his sarcastic tone. He groaned in frustration. "When I asked him where he was sleeping.. He said 'couch'.. But I know so only because I read his lips! I barely even heard him, geez! I'm so sad."

Amused, Hyunjin chuckled at the rant.

"I'm sure that sucks but now that you're getting better, he can't go on like this. All that aside, you're coming, right?"

Jisung's face bloomed into a smile. "Yes, can't wait.. Did you do it?"

"All prepared. You owe me for making me come to school at five."

Jisung grinned. "I'm sorry man. I owe you for more than that though.." He replied, lowering his volume.

"Just pretend you can't move until he leaves."

"Aight see you."

As he hung up, Jisung hopped off the bed and stretched. With little squeals and incomprehensible noises of excitement, and hair that was sticking out in every direction, he walked to his table and placed his phone on the far end, farthest from the bed.

Then, the brunette snuggled in bed once again, pulling the covers over him. Jisung grinned. But his grin froze midway as he heard somebody fidget with the doorknob. He knew Felix would sneak in early, and he knew the boy must be thinking he was asleep.

Jisung shifted his position to get a peak of the doorway, whilst pretending to be fast asleep. The door unbolted, and cautiously, in walked Felix, barely more than a silhouette in the dull lighting of dawn. He walked over to the table and placed something on, which Jisung assumed was food. He then turned towards the closet, taking small, quiet footsteps closer, with his oversized pyjamas almost slipping off one shoulder.

"Felix."

The blond stiffened, freezing in place, with his back turned to the bed. He gave no response and stood still, the sight causing Jisung to sigh in defeat. Jisung peeled the duvet off, revealing his head and he squinted to pretend like he had just woken up. During the ruffling, Felix timidly turned on his heels, chewing down on his lips as he caught Jisung's gaze.

With his fake-raspy voice, the brunette asked, "Can I have my phone.. Please?"

Jisung pouted to add extra effects. I mean, do people pout as soon as they wake up? Sounds legit. But inside, he was squealing and complimenting himself for his genius plot.

Glancing at the phone that was clearly out of his reach, Felix took the device and hopped towards the bed, nervousness evident in the way he avoided Jisung's gaze. He stretched out his hand to Jisung, offering the phone.

Still pretending like he was drowsy, Jisung lazily pushed himself up on one elbow and used his free hand to reach for the phone. Then, in one swift movement, he grabbed Felix's wrist and yanked him forward, immediately shifting to grab the boy by his collar.

As he captured Felix's lips in his, Hyunjin's words replayed in Jisung's mind. Pretend you can't move until he leaves. He smiled into the kiss, not just because of the overflowing feelings, or because he couldn't listen to Hyunjin, but also because Felix showed no resistance. The blond surrendered, collapsing onto the bed on his knees.

Satisfied, Jisung disconnected, instantly running his tongue over his lips with a proud grin. Felix sat still, bright red while suppressing a smile. He looked down shyly, his messy blond hair falling over his eyes.

Sighing in happiness, Jisung brushed the boy's hair back. "Lix, look at me."

His eyes then flickered down to Felix's exposed neck. Jisung's breath hitched. He gulped, the smile on his lips slightly trembling. A mountain of thoughts crashed into his head, slowly picking up his heart rate.

But snapping him to his senses, Felix cleared his throat and nervously glanced at Jisung. "I.."

His voice was less than a whisper. Jisung knew the boy wasn't prepared to talk to him just yet, but seeing that he was trying, his face lit up with pure bliss. "You? Tell me, baby. You what?" He insisted, urging Felix to go on.

Felix stifled a laugh, cheeks dusted with pink. After sliding Jisung's phone onto the bed, he slowly pushed Jisung's hand off his thigh and quickly got up, backing away from the bed.
"I'm almost late." He replied, still refusing to increase his volume to more than whispering. He gave a cheeky grin before rushing out of the room, leaving Jisung speechless.

He ditched me.

Jisung then noticed his phone light up with a notification he couldn't care less about. He furrowed, reading the time.

Wait. Who goes to school at 5:23?

Heaving a big sigh, Jisung flopped back onto the bed. The smile on his lips diffused into neutrality. Jisung was glad Felix finally felt less uncomfortable, compared to the past few days where he would barely stay in the same room. But now, Jisung couldn't get the sight off his mind. The scar. It was the first time he'd seen Felix without a choker. Had he not realized it?

As much as he was glad Felix seemed to be letting his walls down, the sight alone was enough to crush Jisung's heart. Only when he saw the uneven scar across Felix's throat, did Jisung finally come to believe the notes, that the blond had attempted to slash his throat. Feeling suffocated out of the blue, Jisung frantically removed the duvet off his entire body, sucking in a deep breath. Just what has Felix been through?

"I'm sure he'd tell me about everything someday.." mumbled Jisung, deciding to give himself, and Felix, time. Because of course, it was undeniable that the both of them needed time.

[COMMERCIAL BREAK]

just kidding, it's an author's note. I was wondering if you'd wanna try a Q&A with the characters. I thought it'd be fun, and I've never tried it. Anyway, what do you guys think about it? Let me know.

It was a few minutes past six and Jisung had his body pressed against his bedroom door, his left ear placed against the surface to help him hear better.

Once he heard the front door close, Jisung moved back and sighed. He was sure Felix had just left.

With an irresistible smile forming on his lips, Jisung skipped to his closet. He pulled a bunch of clothes out, unsure of what to pick. After wasting a good couple of minutes, Jisung found Felix's blue sweater.

When he was ready, Jisung called Hyunjin. It took only half a ring for the other to pick up. "Yo where'd you hide it?" He said, he struggled to slip his backpack onto his shoulder as he spoke.

"The cabinet underneath your sink."

"What the fuck?" Jisung replied, holding the phone with his shoulder as he fixed his hair. "Why there?"

"Because Felix won't bother to open that cabinet. It's in a bowl of water though! Fresh and nice."

"Okay whAT THE FUCK??"

"I was joking! Make it quick, I see Felix at the gate."

"Alright.. Don't forget to get him to the lockers once the hallways are empty, okay?"

Hyunjin hummed.

"yeah sure, we'll see about that."

Jisung knitted his brows, but before he could respond, Hyunjin hung up on him, making the brunette release a groan. He rushed out of his room, giddy with excitement and a little bit of nervousness.

GWC Main Building

"Hey!"

Felix whipped his head up, hearing a familiar voice. He was met with a bright and smiley Hyunjin, beside an equally cheery Seungmin.

Felix returned the smiles, waddling over to the two.

"You really love Jisung's sweater, huh?" teased Seungmin, gesturing towards the vibrant pink polo neck.

With blushy cheeks, Felix nodded, his neat blond hair bouncing. He walked in with the two boys accompanying him. As Felix walked down the hallway, he caught sight of students scattered around the area. They stared and exchanged whispers, something that Felix had learned to ignore by being with Jisung. But Jisung isn't here now?

The atmosphere felt different. As he looked around, his eyes locked with Minho's, who stood at the end of the hallway and watched. The older smiled.

Responding with a timid smile and a slight, awkward bow, Felix approached his locker. He felt uneasy under the abuse of everybody's gaze. Just before he opened his locker door, Felix realised both Hyunjin and Seungmin had followed him all the way here.

After giving his surroundings another suspicious glance, Felix slowly opened the metal door. He blinked in confusion, eyes trained on the unfamiliar envelope inside. Carefully taking it in his small hands, Felix checked either sides, finding that there was nothing written on the plain white surface.

He took the ruled sheet out, unfolding it as he scanned the page. Once he immediately recognised Jisung's handwriting, Felix relaxed with a content smile.

"my baby Lix,

in case you're wondering how i put this here, i asked Hyunjin to do it.
this is going to be so cheesy but i'll do it anyways.

ya know, if there's one thing i'm most grateful for, it would be meeting you. you're the best part of my moving to Seoul. i don't regret even a single moment i spent by your side. i treasure every second of it. you make me feel warm. i feel like, even with no words, you showed me who you were. it really didn't matter to me that you didn't speak. because just being with you was more than enough. (and i swear I've never seen anyone half as cute as you haha)

felix, remember the day i got beaten up..?

you told me something. those were the first words you ever spoke to me. it was the first time you said my name. and i heard it because i wasn't really asleep.

can you tell me once more..?

that you like me.

tell me i'm the one you love, that you return my feelings. Felix, turn around."

Felix froze, reading the last few words multiple times. The more he stared at it, the quicker his pulse rate got. He set aside the letter, then glanced over his shoulder. Feeling his cheeks heat up at the sight, he smiled shyly.

Felix turned fully to face Jisung, who stood with a bouquet of gracefully arranged wildflowers, and a grin on his flushed face.

Taking his eyes off Felix, Jisung shot a glare towards Hyunjin, who watched by the side. He whisper-yelled, "Why is it so crowded?"

The taller rolled his eyes. "Just go on, coward. We're here to witness the proposal." replied Hyunjin at his normal volume, not caring that Felix clearly heard it and turned beet red.

Inhaling, Jisung faced the blond again, who rocked on his heels with his gaze downturned.

"Felix."

As Jisung's voice echoed, Felix slowly brought his hands up, pulling the turtle neck of his sweater over to cover his flushed face. The adorable action made not only Jisung chuckle. He took a few steps closer, doing his all to ignore the cheers that erupted.

Jisung huffed to get rid of his giddiness. "Felix?" He called out, the blond glancing at him with half of his face still buried in the sweater. He lowered his volume, saying so only Felix would hear, "Will you be my boyfriend?"

Felix immediately looked down again, nodding without hesitating for even a moment. Jisung chuckled. "I can't hear you, baby."

The blond peeled the turtle neck off, revealing the blush over his freckled cheeks, along with the wide smile on his lips. "Yes.. I will. I mean-" he fumbled softly, sucking in a deep breath as he looked up and locked his gaze with Jisung's expectant eyes. "I want to.."

As the words left Felix's lips softly, Jisung opened his arms, the bouquet still grasped in one hand. The blond stepped closer, allowing Jisung to engulf him in a tight embrace.

"You guys were supposed to kiss."

Ruining their little moment, a voice spoke up, followed by a disappointed sigh. Jisung pulled away and glanced to the side to see Chan amongst the crowd Hyunjin had gathered. Chan chuckled right afterwards, watching both Felix and Jisung turn bright red.

"Shut up, pervert." Jisung scoffed, suppressing a smile as he placed the bouquet into Felix's locker and shut the metal door close. He watched Chan shrug with a smirk as the bell sounded, echoing through the peaceful atmosphere.

"Shall we go?" asked Jisung, stretching his hand out.

With a nod, Felix grasped the brunette's hand, interlocking their fingers. And for once, there was not a single bit of apprehension holding them back. Only warmth, endless love, and the irreplaceable contentment of being with each other.
