Chapter 3

Pevil-

I caught word of the renegade in Cathode and he was with some other rebels. I was enraged, working secretly as a spy for Clu was starting to wear on me mentally. Growing angrier I walked to Paige's room to let loose. I swung open her door to find her laying on her bed. "PAIGE!" "What Pevil?" She asked with sarcasm. "What are you doing relaxing at a time like this!?" "Why aren't you relaxing at a time like this?" I couldn't let Paige know bout the renegade being out of town, but I had to make her get out to work or she might hear the whispers, that and she was only furthering my rage. "Because! There was a disturbance in sector nine. And I am needed here." I hear 'Baka, Baka, Baka' come from the speakers near her headboard "What is that you're listening to?!" "Just some new music I found buried in my playlist. Why would you care?!" "I've heard it before." "You couldn't have I-." "No, I heard it being made from programs-" "I can't even identify what kind of instruments they sound like-" "there were no instruments, mainly, they used their mouths and throats. Where is the visual for this?!" Usually the video output is colorful dots or colorful falling streaks. But once Paige opens up the screen, we were equally shocked by the sight. 'Ok! Oh-oh-Oh-oh-' there was a almost familiar pink haired program dancing and making this music. We watched the rest of the visual for 1 minuet and 37 seconds until it faded to black. ((A/N: Triple Baka)) I turned to Paige, "Don't speak of this to anyone! How long have you been listening to this?" "Um I don't know." "Alright what other music do you have like this?" "Nothing." I let out a groan, "I kinda wanted to hear the one I heard again." I walked to the door. "Remember, don't let anyone know about this." I warned once more before I left.

Paige-

I wasn't going to let that rat Pevil know about the other music I had or where I really got it all from. So as soon as I knew he left I turned on another track one entitled 'Straying Rhapsody'. I had to watch the visual for this one. I was hoping all of the 'Vocaliod' tracks had moving pictures. I also wondered what 'Vocaloid' meant. Hopefully I can find out more about all of this from the archives, where I discovered the music.

Gumi-

We kept moving through the city luckily no more problems arose. "Hey Beck, we need code names in case something like that happens again." "Yeah, 'Tron' is already taken." Oliver teased. "I guess you're right, the cities only get worse along the way, we might have to call out to one another. How about you first IA?" "Some of the programmers pronounce my name 'Eeyah'." "Alright, I'll just be, Megapoid. My last name should do." I tell them "Ooh, Then I'll be Kanese!" Teto squeals happily. "Kamui, sounds alright." Gakupo says with his handsome smile. "I'll take Len's last name and be Kagamine!" Oliver laughed. "Alright what about you Kaito?" Beck said with a happy tone. "Kiyoteru Hiyama won't mind if I use his last name, plus Hiyama sounds cool on me." Kaito said with a slight smile. "Also, Beck, I was wondering, how many cities are there between here and the capital?" Oliver asked inquisitively. "Well... Counting this city, there's five." "Then we should keep a low profile, or they'll figure out that we're headed for the 'HQ'." IA said with a half joking tone. I caught a glimpse of a smile creep across Beck's face. "We're rounding a corner up here to leave the city. So I guess we should try to keep away from the 'action'." As we rounded the corner we saw a long stretch of road with a city at the other end. "How come we can see the next city from here and we couldn't when we left Argon?" Oliver asked "Um, Argon is the most secluded city that's why they have the laws are more lenient also that's why Tesler and his force had only showed up almost six months ago." "What was it like... Before the troops moved on in?" Kaito asked. "Well, me and my friends didn't have to worry about being drug out to the games at any moment.there wasn't a curfew in place so we wouldn't have to worry about that at all. We generally got to have more fun, hang out more. There was this one time when me and Bodhi, *sigh* Bodhi..." There was a short aquward silence, "Who's Bodhi?" I asked him. "Bodhi, was a real good friend if mine who was murdered after work one day, he spoke up against one of the officers, and uh, they didn't like it. So just like that Mara, Zed, and I... Wa- it happened so fast, we didn't have time to react." Teto gasped. "But I retaliated, and became The Renegade, maybe if things went differently, I wouldn't have been trying to save the Grid." "But it sounds to me like if you wouldn't of put on the suit, Bodhi surely would have." Gakupo said comfortingly. "You're absolutely right, Bodhi wouldn't have stopped at anything until the Grid was safe for all programs." Beck concluded with a warm proud expression.

Lily-

All day yesterday we were on the hunt for our missing friends. Which kinda ruined the surprise picnic for Miku and the others, but they understood, they too were worried about what could of happened to them. That's when James, Oliver's bird found us. He was all out of breath and really distraught. Once he regained his compositor he led us to the old Utauloid estate where we found this gaping hole in the ground. James wouldn't let us get anywhere near it. And when Defoko did the ground started to break. Luckily James pulled her back before she fell. "Did you see anything down there?" I asked her, "All I saw was how far down it was, and it's REALLY far down." She told me. We ended up sleeping in the Utauloid estate the two whole nights they were gone. And we were starting to worry more as time went on. "We could try and follow them." Iroha said trying to think positively. Glutamine shook his head, "We don't know what's down there, or if they are even, ok." ((It will be explained why Glutamine is here in the future! So don't get all confused.)) Bruno scratched the back of his head. "Yeah, besides if we were to do something that irresponsible, we should tell the others." Bruno was right. The others knew about our discovery of the gaping hole, but we were saposed to watch it in case anything happened. "I just hate having to worry about them, I know Kaito and Gakupo can take care of the others but having all this... Unknown stuff is so frustrating!" Rook growled. Then James started to tweet and whistle. I sighed, the only one who could understand James was Oliver, so trying to figure out what he was trying to tell us was nearly impossible. "Maybe we should go eat some lunch you guys, it'll take our minds away from this for awhile." I told them walking towards the house. But I knew we would never get our minds cleared until they were home safe and sound.

IA-

When we reached the city's outskirts and were greeted by another long stretch of road. The others chattered around me but I let my thoughts drift off I thought about bounding over the brightly lit buildings and floating through the narrow alleys. But I regained sight of reality when I heard Oliver call me. "Sorry Oliver what did you say? I wasn't paying attention." I said feeling my face grow a little warm with embarrassment. "We were talking about home. What is your favorite thing to do?" "Oh... I guess, I love laying in the grass, being warmed by the sun, and dreaming." I told them warmly "sounds... Fun." Beck said, he sounded reluctant, but it was probably just me. "I hope the others are alright, I mean, our friends don't know where we are or if we're alright." Oliver said nervously. "Don't worry Oliver, once we get home they'll want to hear all about our adventure. And trust me all of us can tell them about this beautiful place and such nice people, like Beck." Oliver smiled, being reassured.

Beck-

I'm not sure why but when IA told Oliver that I was a nice person, and saying that they were going to tell the others about me, it made me feel a nice warmth inside like these programs really liked me in the most highest regard and I had only met them two days ago. They made me feel so different, in a good way of course especially IA she made me feel... Good. She just always knew exactly what to say and when to say it. It felt good to be around her even I only knew her for a short time it felt like I knew her longer than that. It's very hard to explain. "This next two cities ahead are really small, we'll reach the capital before nightfall." "Aren't these cities more heavily guarded?" Kaito asked. "Yeah, hopefully we wouln't get stopped at to many check points."

Pevil-

I Hadn't heard any more news about the renegade but I still thought something was weird about this. And so did my master Clu. Clu believes that he is trying to get support in Cathode, I told him it was doubtful, Cathode was such a submissive city, barely any problems at all, and when problems did surface it was soon put to rest. And it didn't matter anyway, Tesler put to rest any false hopes that he was actually Tron. Clu still was unsatisfied with my answer but didn't give me any farther directions. Only one problem now. Trying to not allow Paige to follow him into Cathode. Luckily she's been busy with work, and I'll have to make it stay that way. She's made a personal vendetta against him, which is more heated then anyone else's anger towards him. I really don't understand it, he hasn't done anything that bad towards her, if anyone should be this angry it should be Tesler. My eyes roll as I pass some nitwit guards, "where is Paige!?" I yell at them to keep them under my thumb, where they belong. " she went out, for a walk. She said she was feeling oppressed." He answered timidly "Well when she gets back tell her she's needed in the war room!" I marched away. Who did that little brat think she was!?

Paige-

These archives are packed with information, and I not even sure how I stumbled across those music files the first time. Then I somehow wandered aimlessly into a really old file, and spotted one named 'Vocaloid' there it was! I opened the file hastily. I read how the Vocaloids are programs similar to us developed by some company named Yamaha®. I read how the Vocaloids are very peaceful programs who were designed for making music and singing. The more I read the more I think that I would love to hear one sing to me in real life. And they almost remind me of myself before I joined Tesler's army. That's when I spoted a folder entitled 'pictures'. I open it up and one of the first pictures I see is of a long blonde haired girl with two braids slung over her shoulders. I squinted to get a better look then I clicked on it to enlarge it. *gasp* this was the program I saw from earlier. That's the program I told Pevil to take his hands off of. Her name was IA. Did that mean that the others she was with were... How did the Vocaloids get on the grid? What were they doing here? I must find them.

Kaito-

We're only a few miles away from the capital when Beck tells us we have to stop. "Why? We're so close!" "We should rest and try and sneak in early in the morning. Morning is when they are least prepared." I fall silent, he knows the most, and how things work here, I want to just get home as fast as possible.

Pevil-

I had to run to the capital, Clu requested my assistants, so I had to worry about that brat Paige later. I wondered what was so urgent that he would call for me so quickly, hopefully his plan for 'his excellency Tesler,' was almost compleat. I took my light jet, to get there before nightfall, hopefully.
