*********
The chirping of birds could be heard as dawn was about to break. Drops of dew trickled down the fresh green leaves & colourful flowers that were ready to bloom.
In the still dark chambers in the abode of the prime minister of Viratnagar, a manly figure lay sprawled on the spacious mattress. The strong, firmly toned muscles of his back were visible as the coverlet lay low on his waist.
The majestic doors carefully creaked open & the beautiful Yagyaseni entered the still dark room, & slowly pulled apart the thick drapes, allowing some light into the room, though it was still dark outside as the sun was yet to rise.
The tall, strong figure of her husband did not budge, as the beautiful Agnisuta walked around the chamber, her anklets tinkling melodiously.
D: Aaryaa!!!!
She sing-songed sweetly as she sat by the dressing table, drying her dripping wet hair after her bath & donning on her minimal silver jewellery.
She frowned as she applied some kajal to her beautiful doe eyes, noticing Yudhishthir merely pull up the covers over his form.
D : Aaryaputra!!!
She called more sternly & recieved a disgruntled groan in reply. She glared at his slumbering figure. Who had asked him to look into the accounts & other royal documents well past midnight. He had barely slept for a prahar now. He was bound to be tired & sleepy.
She softened realising that her Dharmaraj worked delligently for the purpose of betterment, be it of his own kingdom or another. He viewed the entire Aaryavart as his responsibility & was completely dedicated towards its betterment. This qaulity of his was only one of his several ones that had made her fall in love with him in no time!
Dharmraj Yudhishthir was somewhat awake, but too sleepy & tired to be greatly coherent.
Pretty, feminine fingers, as slender as ever, beautifully decorated with altah stroked his back lovingly, making him sigh in pleasure. A soft pair of rosebud lips pressed against his hard, chiselled jawline making him groan & the beautiful woman next to him chuckle.
D: Aaryaputra, chaliye uthiye. Prataah kaal hone ko hai...aapko mere saath iss laksh mein koi dekhle, isse purv hi aap jaiyye.....
She whispered softly & a little sadly, stroking his exposed cheek which was sideways, facing away from her, with one half squished against the pillow.
Y: Naaa....
A grumbling Yudhishthir mumbled so cutely that Draupadi wanted to pull his cheeks seeing how adorable he was. Seriously, Drau? He's the Chakrawarti Samrat of Aaryavart for heaven's sake! She reprimanded herself with a giggle.
D: Aarya....
She whispered lovingly again, kissing his forehead & then cheeks. She almost laughed seeing the instant reddening of his face. In his sleep too he was affected by her touches so much. It was rare to see her husband blush these days, for he'd become rather bold.
The cool droplets of her wet hair dripping onto his skin coupled with her irresistible fragrance of fresh blue lotuses, caused Dharmaraj to nearly loose his senses. He wanted nothing but to turn around & grab her & kiss & caress her until she remembered nothing but him.
However, controlling his urges expertly, Yudhishthir turned, his strong arm wrapping around Draupadi, pulling her against him. He was content to merely hold her against him.
Y: Abhi kuch aur samay shesh hai na....aap bhi sojaiyye....
He mumbled, pulling her back inside the warm covers in his embrace making her sigh.
D: Aaryaputra!
Yagyaseni whined as she struggled against the cage of his arms, though his warm, hard, perfectly toned bare muscular chest brushing against her skin caused her to shiver.
Why was he so strong?
Her clothed body was pressed against his semi-clothed one, causing her heart to palpitate. She tried to push away the warm blanket.
Y: Mmm...!!
Yudhishthir protested without opening his eyes making Draupadi pout. As much as she wanted to spend the morning in her Aarya's cosy embrace, it was not possible. She was nearly breathless as he buried his face in her neck, torturing her sensitive skin there with his warm breaths. A gasping Draupadi lay trapped beneath her half asleep husband, trying her best to gather her bearings after he'd turned her to mush just with his proximity.
They were currently posing as working staff in King Viraat's kingdom & needed to quickly begin their jobs for the day.
Draupadi smiled at her sleepy husband. She herself was too. They hadn't exactly slept well the previous night. They'd spent the night cuddling, & just talking, spending quality time with each other with a few kisses here & there. She blushed deeply at that thought.
With a cheesy smile on her face, Draupadi lovingly tucked away a stray lock of hair obstructing her view of absolute perfection: the sharp, chiselled jawline & those flawlessly sculpted features that appeared to have been sculpted by a rewoned artist. Most importantly the mesmerizing pools of molten copper that hypnotised her the second his beautiful eyes fluttered open.
How could this man captivate her thus after almost a year of marriage.
Y: Mujhe nahi jaana! Mujhe aapke saath rehna hai!
Dharmraj frowned, his face set in a cute sulky pout that made Panchaali want to pull his cheeks yet again.
D: Kintu....jaana toh padega na, Aaryaputra......
Yudhishthir's breath nearly hitched hearing his wife's sensuous drawl as she spread sweet, soft kisses from his cheek to lower jaw.
Draupadi gasped audibly as Dharmaraj suddenly pinned her beneath him, imprisoning her hands in a single hand of his, as his copper orbs darkened a couple of shades in desire as the index finger of his other hand danced over forehead, nose & lips, going down her chin making her squirm at the ticklish sensations.. As much as he desired to claim her as his wife in all senses, to make her his forever, he wanted that moment to be extra special not rushed. However Draupadi's little teasing kisses that he was sure she did on purpose weren't too helpful.
Draupadi's ebony coloured doe eyes widened & her cheeks glowed & grew rosier than ever. Feeling his weight on her, as their bodies pressed together firmly made her heart palpitate. She almost moaned as her husband's knuckles tormented her red cheek with loving strokes.
Suddenly she stopped short, seeing the tiny cut at the base of his throat where he'd held the dagger previously. A sudden, involuntary sob escaping his wife's lips caused Dharmaraj to instantly grow alarmed.
Y: Panchaali? Priye?
He questioned, wiping away a big fat tear, only for several more to trickle down.
D: Aa..aapne kal apne p..praan...dene ka...prayatna kiya, Aarya! V..vach...an dijiye aap punah aisa nahi karenge...m..main aapke bina mar jaungi...yadi...yadi aapko kuch ho jaata toh main....
She was blubbering almost incoherently until her husband's lips suddenly covered her, taking her by surprise completely. Yudhishthir's grip on his wife's tiny waist tightened as he pulled her closer. He used his free hand to caress her cheek soothingly as he poured out all his love for her.
Yudhishthir kissed her slow & sweet with great passion & so much love that she was speechless & completely breathless when he realeased her. She barely remembered her previous misery now. All she knew that her Aarya was with her & that never again would she allow them to be seperated.
Both were a little dazed & breathless as they broke apart unwillingly as their lungs burnt for oxygen.
Tears still glistened in the eyes of the great queen as she lost herself in the beautiful, deep eyes of her king.
D: Vachan dijiye ki aisa kuch punah nahi karenge aap! Aapko meri saugandh!
Draupadi told him urgently, & her husband replied by pulling her against his strong chest & burying his face in her fragrant hair as he whispered sweet apologies & promises in her ear.
*******
The beautiful couple was a completely happy phase as they kept showering all their love on each other, having longed to do so for eternity. Finally, it was time for Yudhishthir to leave to get ready for court.
Y: Apna dhyaan rakhiyega, priye. Palang se uthne ki koi avashyakta nahi hai, hmm?
He spoke firmly yet lovingly as he placed a parting kiss on her forehead, that caused goosebumps to pebble up on her skin as they did everytime he touched her.
D: Ab jaiyye Aarya....isse pehle ki aapko koi yaha dekhle....
Draupadi whispered hurriedly making Yudhishthir smile sadly before nodding & turning to leave.
A sudden childish urge suddenly made Draupadi grin as she slowly lowered one of her dainty feet on her ground as if to get up & do exactly what Yudhishthir had requested her not.
With a smirk of his own, knowing his wife only too well, Dharmaraj had noticed this from the corner of his eyes.
Y: Tch tch tch... meri priya Samragyi.....maine dekha abhi aap jo karne ka prayas kar rahi thi....
He sing-songed playfully making Draupadi giggle as she bit her lip sheepishly.
Dharmraj Yudhishthir sighed in incomparable bliss, hearing his favourite, most melodious sound in the world. Draupadi's mesmerizing giggles continued to ring in his ear, even as he entered his own current chambers.
Mala frowned seeing Kank enter his chambers that morning. His face was lit up like never before, a beautiful smile gracing his face. She could see a hint on redish hue on his cheeks, & couldn't help but wonder why he was smiling shyly thus?
Maybe it was due to her beauty? Afterall men after men had fallen for her, but for once it was her who wanted a man.
M: Pranipaat Kank ji. Padhariye. Maine aapke snaan ke liye jal sajj kar diya hai.
She spoke in a slowly, in what she deemed to be an alluring voice. However, Yudhishthir was unaffected & completely oblivious.
However, he did wonder what she was doing in his chamber at this time. Didn't the daasis rush off after their job was done for another errand? He wasn't comfortable with this woman waiting in his room like this.
But Kank ji? Why was she trying to be so familiar with him all of a sudden? He wasn't sure he liked it very much but did not correct her out of respect.
He was polite as he respected the hardwork they did to ensure his comfort, & so smiled.
Y: Pranipat devi.....
His smile was forced especially as he noticed her gaze wander down to his muscled chest.
Never the one to like attention, Dharmaraj was immediately uncomfortable at her unabashed staring. The only woman he wished & relished staring at him was his wife.
Just then, a daas stepped inside, bowing before him making Dharmraj nod in acknowledgement.
D: Pranipaat Mahamantri ji....devi Sairandhri ke nivedan anusaar, aapke liye vishesh, naye vastra sajj hai.
He spoke hinting at the golden thaal he held, which bore a richly embroidered brand new silk outfit.
Mala watched in fury as Kank's face lit up with immense happiness forva split second before he regained his normal, calm & peaceful expression.
K: Dhanywaad...
He addressed the servant who bowed & left after handing him the clothes.
Dharmraj tried to remain stoic in front of others, but his wife's thoughtful, sweet gesture was overwhelming & made him smile brightly again She'd remembered that he had to accompany Viraat to greet some special guests today.
K: Ye vastra toh ati uttam hai. Meri orr se devi Sairandhri ko dhanywaad kahiyega....
The more Dharmraj smiled, the more Mala grew furious, especially seeing him admire the selection of that Sairandhri. The servant bowed & left.
Yudhishthir was about to head for a bath when he realised that Mala was still standing there.
Y: Kshyama kijiye devi...aapko kuch kehna hai?
He inquired politely with his usual, signature smile.
Mala wordlessly shook her head, eyeing him up & down appreciatively. Yudhishthir grew uncomfortable again. Why did she keep staring at him?
Clearing his throat awkwardly, he spoke up.
K: Devi...ab aapko prasthan karna chahiye.... mujhe rajsabha ke liye sajj hona hai... dhanywaad!
Yudhishthir requested her.
What? He wanted her to leave? What about the clothes she brought him?
Ma: Ji kintu Kank ji....
She began but he had already rushed past her by then, carrying the clothes selected by that woman!
M: Tum mujhe parast nahi kar paogi, Sairandhri! Kank ji toh mere hi rahenge.
She huffed to herself, before storming out.
*****
The sun was barely peeking up from behind the splendid mountains dotted with greenery.
As the beautiful dawn began to break, a few stats could still be spotted twinkling but receding slowly under the brilliance of the sun.
A little distance from the group of daasis was a stream with crystal clear blue water. However, that was not what attracted the gaze of several daasis, especially Mala.
A tall, muscular sillhoutte of a man emerged from the clear pond, water dripping down his chiselled, well built body.
Her father, Aamatya Subodh had been very impressed by this young man, the day he first set foot in Viraat's court. Not only was he minting money as the prime minister of the kingdom, having the highest wages among those employed in the royal court, but also: Lord! He was magnificent!
Those stunning pools of molten copper, j s golden skinned, broad shouldered, tall & strong, perfectly toned & muscled body like that of a full grown lion had her swooning. Was it possible for a mere mortal to be this perfect & devastatingly handsome?
Dharmraj looked at his beautiful wife from the corner of his eyes. He was filled with sasdness seeing the great queen of the entire Aaryavart helping some daasis with a load of clothes, washing them in the river water. Due to the guests in the kingdom, the workload on the servants had increased.
Though like his beloved, wise Panchaali said, no job was inferior or superior, seeing his queen who had always been in the lap of luxury with hundreds & thousands of soldiers at her beck & call, was now disguised & working as one of them herself.
The group of daasis conversed casually as they worked.
" Sakhiyon! Tanik, vaha uss divya purush ko toh dekho! Haaye...main toh jeevan bhar niharti rahu!"
One of them said dreamily while the others looked at the direction in which she had hinted.
" Kon? Mahamantri Kank? Tum uchit kehti ho, Dhriti! Ve toh vaastav mein Divya purush hai! Arrey aisa roop kabhi kisi sadharan manushya ka dekha hai kya?"
Another one, Swara sighed, dreamily as well, while all others giggled & tittered.
A certain Yagyaseni Panchaali disguised as Sairandhri was far from pleased though as some clueless woman continued to admire her husband's perfection.
However, the third daasi to speak irked her more.
" Avashya! Aur toh aur.... avivahit hai! Kitni kanyae inhe pati roop mein paane ke liye kuch bhi kar sakti hai! Aur main bhi!!!"
She swooned....
A chuckle escaped Dharmaraj's lips as he finished his morning Pooja, noticing his wife huff & beat the clothes a tad bit harder than required for cleaning. His dear wife was jealous of the female attention he seemed to recieve! It was too much fun!!! He loved seeing her all possesive over him. Afterall he belonged to only one woman, the one who was the sole ruler of his heart: his Panchaali! Didn't she realise that she was the only one for him? Didn't she realise that in that group full of women, his gaze was fixated firmly on only & only her!
On the other hand, Draupadi wanted to growl & push away everyone before hiding away her Aaryaputra in her embrace from these women. He was HERS! She wanted to yell at them!
She nearly grit her teeth noticing the discreet sly smirk on Dharmaraj's face as he conversed with some of the citizens.
He was clearly aware of their conversation, due to his excellent observation skills, though she was sure he'd not meant to eavesdrop on the group of giggling females, but then they weren't particularly keeping their voices low.
However, she softened as every fibre of hers felt prode surge through it, seeing the citizens who were profusely thanking her husband for coming to their aid. No matter where he was, her Aaryaputra was always helping others, making their life beautiful & that is what enamored her, captivated her.
M: Tum sab Maun raho! Mere Kank ji ke vishay mein aisi baatein mat karo!
Mala exclaimed glaring at them, while Sairandhri couldn't help but raise an amused eyebrow.
" arrey waah! Mahamantri Kank tumhaare kabse hogaye Mala? Yadi unhe kisiko chunna hoga, toh mujhe chunnenge!"
One of the other daasis challenged.
Draupadi wanted to stomp her foot childishly. While she was proud that her husband was well respected & loved all over, some of his " female admirers " were getting far too annoying for her to bear.
M: Huh! Aisa ho hi nahi sakta! Tum sabhi toh janti hi ho, ki mere pitashree rajsabha mein uchch sthaan par karyaratt hai. Kank ji ke bhi nikat hai ve.
Ati shigra hi ve Kank ji ke parivar se humaare sambandh ke vishay mein baat karenge.
She gloated at all the other envious looking woman who immediately began to whisper among themselves.
M: Unhone mujhe bataya tha ki unka parivar Indraprastha aur Hastinapur mein hai. Ab bas kuch hi samay ki baat hai!
The oblivious, foolish woman smirked arrogantly, looking directly at Sairandhri's veiled face as she spoke.
Dharmraj was on the verge of collapsing & rolling on the floor, clutching his rather achy stomach seeing his wife's seething face, a little more anger & there would be smoke coming out of her ears & nose.
He winced at the fate of the poor clothes which his wife beat harder & harder.
Sairandhri didn't understand whether she should laugh hysterically or pounce on the stupid woman. There was no way on god's green earth that this was even remotely possible!!!! This woman was seriously delusional!
Unable to tolerate her nonsense anymore, Sairandhri stood up, holding the pile of wet clothes, she'd finished washing.
S: Tum sab apne karya sampann karo...main ye vastra sukha aati hoon.
She told them authoritively, as their head, before storming away.
" Sairandhri ko kya hua? Pehle toh itna krodhit nahi dekha unhe kabhi?"
One of them wondered making Mala scoff with a roll of her eyes.
M: Huh! Jalti hai vo mujhse! Senapati Keechak ke saath saath ab mere priya Kank ji bhi chahiye ise!
She fumed while the others eyed her sceptically, before shaking their heads & getting back to work.
********
As much as Yudhishthir had enjoyed seeing his wife jealous & so possesive of him, he couldn't see her upset.
He tiptoed inside his chambers where his lovely wife was straightening or rather battering the covers of the bed while angrily muttering away at full speed making him chuckle huskily.
Draupadi glared at her husband making him immediately stop laughing. She looked at him sternly as she approached him, helping him take off his jewellery, each piece being placed on the dressing table with an angry thump which made the Samraat of Aaryavart nervous like a teenager during examination for once.
D: Aagaye aap? Kaisa raha aapka divas, Aaryaputra?
Though she was mad at him, Draupadi always made an effort to spend time with him, talk to him after their tiring days at their respective jobs. Yudhishthir smiled.
Without another word, Draupadi walled to the dressing table, relieving herself of her minimal jwellery. Dharmraj looked on, mesmerised.
Draupadi trembled as she felt a strong presence behind her. She closed her eyes, feeling her husband's masculine hands gently unpinning her veil, & placing it on a side. It was nothing more than a pleasurable torment for her as he took his sweet time to take off her earrings, & released her silky, dark tresses from their confines, as their unbound state that was only meant for his eyes.
Yudhishthir smiled, knowing just the technique to woo his beloved wife.
Y: Jab divas aapko dekhkar aarambh hua ho, aur aapko dekhkar hi samapt hone wala ho, toh bura kaise jaa sakta hai, priye, hmm?
He whispered ever so lovingly, as he tucked away a stray curl behind her ear, his heart overflowing with passion & love for his beautiful wife.
Panchaali turned beetred seeing her husband flirt with her thus. She knew that he was quite soft spoken & shy in nature, but how boldly & passionately he proclaimed his feelings when it came to her & only her, she absolutely loved it, cherished it.
However, wanting him to continue his love filled wooing, she pretended to puff her cheeks & look away.
Dharmraj smirked seeing her actions, knowing exactly what she wanted.
Y: Apne Aarya se kabtak krodhit rahengi priye?
He whispered sensuously in he ear, resting his chin against the bare part of her shoulder causing her to tremble, before leaning in further to press his lips against her cheek causing her heart to nearly stop.
His palms travelled down her shoulders to her covered arms slowly, causing shivers to run down her spine inspite of not having direct contact. He traced his fingers down her arms, & intertwining their fingers, reaching down.
Dharmraj could clearly hear his wife's heart thudding away at full speed. He pressed another sweet kiss to her cheek, letting his pillowy lips linger over her creamy skin, their intertwined hands resting on her abdomen.
Her let her recline back against his firm, muscled chest as his strong arms encased her slender self completely from behind. He held her close hoping to calm the heaving of her chest. As much as he loved her, & wanted to demonstrate it as much as possible, he didn't want her to be uncomfortable.
They were finally easing into the relationship of man & wife from the friendship they had formed. He did not want to rush things, he wished to savour them as well as allow his love to control the pace.
Unable to bear the sinfully pleasurable sensations that his closeness cause, Panchaali rushed out of his hold towards the bed, her anklets tinkling melodious.
Yudhishthir took a seat infront of her on the bed, lifting her chin gently with his thumb & index finger, causing her cheeks to darken further as she averted her gaze from him, suddenly feeling extremely shy infront of him like a newly wed bride.
She couldn't believe that she was married to this sweet, wonderful, & perfect man. A part of her mind was always worried about loosing him. Her Dharmaraj was the epitome of righteousness, he was the ideal man that everyone loved, even women.
She sometimes felt insecure seeing them admire his looks, his personality & everything about him. What started out as a playful gesture was now becoming serious.
Yudhishthir clearly understood what his innocent wife was thinking. After all this, didn't she realise that he had eyes only for her. No woman compared to anything against her for him. Not only did he adore his Panchaali, he was hopelessly, passionately, & crazily in love with the magnificent Yagyaseni, who managed to mesmerise him, make him breathless every single time.
Dharmraj sighed as his thumbs carefully stroked his wife's soft skin, causing goosebumps to pebble up.
Y: Priye...mahatva iss baat ka nahi ki mujhe kon dekhta hai, praapt karna chahta hai, mahatva iska hai ki main kise dekhta hoon, kise apna banane ka swapna dekhta hoon, kis stree ko mera hriday aur pratyek kan apaar prem karta hai. Aur vo stree toh keval aap hai, priye, keval aap.
He whispered, his husky baritone thick with emotion as he whispered to her, knocking his forehead against her. He closed his eyes, inhaling her soothing & comforting scent of fresh blue lotuses.
Panchaali had tears glistening in her eyes, as she realised the magnitude of his love for her. Suddenly all her insecurities seemed baseless. This beautiful, golden hearted man was all hers. Hers to love, pamper, tease, kiss, take care of & cherish forever.
She rested her head on his rock hard chest, listening to his rhythmic heartbeats.
D: Aarya...ek shan!
Draupadi requested, moving out of her confused husband's embrace. Dharmraj's eyes followed his wife until she disappeared from his line of vision, only to remerge a moment later, holding a tiny box.
Y: Ye kya hai, priye?
Dharmraj questioned as she took a seat next to him.
Panchaali only smiled & opened the box to reveal the brilliant red vermillion.
D: Aaj humdono ne apna ateet bhulakar, purv ki sabhi ghatnaon se aage badhkar ek doosre ko sweekar kiya hai. M..main aapse bohot prem karti hoon, Aarya. Main poorn roop se aapki patni banna chahti hoon.
Draupadi whispered. Her voice thick with pain of longing. Her heart ached for her Aarya, for him to tell her that he loves her, & finally he had. She wanted nothing more than to be locked in his strong arms forever.
Tears filled Dharmaraj's copper orbs, as he repeatedly thanked the almighty for getting him married to this beautiful woman. Not only was she breathtakingly beautiful on the outside, her internal beauty knew no bounds.
Morover, she wanted to be with, be his, forever!! He couldn't believe his good..no great fortune!
He was irrevocably in love with her, that he could barely stop himself from exclaiming out of happiness!
With love & adoration shining in his brilliant coppery pools, Dharmaraj took a pinch of the deep red sindoor, carefully & lovingly filling his wife's hair parting all the way up.
Yet again, Draupadi's cheeks aimed to rival the red of the vermillion she now wore & buried her head in her husband's toned chest.
Yudhishthir's husky chuckle & the vibration she felt due to it, so close to him caused her heart to escalate all the more. Her husband merely chuckled, stroking her hair.
Yudhishthir held her close, pressing his lips just the vermillion filled hair parting that now marked her as his. The feeling of possessiveness was imense, even more than usual seeing her thus.
D: Ek shan....
Draupadi suddenly looked at him from his chest, with a glare.
D: Aapko uss samay kuch adhik hi hasi aarahi rahi thi Aarya?
She demanded sternly making Yudhishthir look at her with an ' Uh-oh' expression, his eyes darting to the side.
He grinned at her, but his grin faded due to the intensity of her glare.
Y: Ab krodh tyaag bhi dijiye na.... achcha main Kshyama mangta hoon...bas?
Yudhishthir tried to placate her, but Draupadi looked away with a huff, leaving him to awe at her puffy cheeks.
Y: Kar dijiye na....Kshyama...aage se thoda kam hasunga.
He whispered ever so sweetly in her ear before nuzzling his nose with hers affectionately. Draupadi was nearly trembling, feeling Yudhishthir's breath on her lips & skin.
Draupadi narrowed her eyes at him, realising that he never apologised for laughing but rather for laughing too much! However, she relented with a smile, melting once again into his arms.
Y: Ab gyaat hua priye, jab iss mahal ka koi bhi purush aapko kudrishti se dekhta hai toh meri kya awastha hoti hai. Mann karta hai ek ek ko bhasm kardu, kintu vo dharm sangat nahi.
Yudhishthir told her with his usual calm smile, making her pout. Leave it to her sophisticated & ethical husband to bring his Dharma in between their love filled talks, but she adored & was crazily in love with her sweet, extremely righteous, wise, intelligent, handsome & simply perfect husband...her beloved Dharmraj!
Samraat Yudhishthir took one look at his magnificent queen & couldn't help but notice how tired she looked. She large small dark circles beginning to form below her tired eyes & the once soft, creamy skin of her hands looked so dry & chaffed.
Y: Samast Aaryavart ki Samragyi hote hue bhi, saikdo sevak jinke ek aadesh ke liye sadaiv tatpar rehte hai, aaj meri vo Maharani swayam daasi ka karya kar rahi hai. Keval mere kaaran.
Yudhishthir thought to him, feeling deep pangs of guilt.
Unfortunately, he didn't realise that he had spoken these thoughts out loud until he felt his wife gently turn him around, gripping his broad shoulders.
D: Oho... mere bhole Aaryaputra! Pratyek paristhiti ka dosh swayam par le lete hai. Ab kya karu aapka?
She tsked playfully, hoping to cheer him up.
Yudhishthir grinned up at her mischievously.
Y: Thoda prem kar lijiye! Vaise bhi....apne pati se prem karna toh ek patni ka dharm hota hai!
He proposed making her gasp playfully & push him away.
D: Aapko yahi sab parihaas sujhta hai jab main koi avashyak baat karti hoon tab?
She scolded the king who winked at her childishly making her sigh.
Seeing her husband grow serious again, Draupadi cupped his cheeks, enjoying how his masculine skin felt against hers.
D: Aapke liye toh main apne praan bhi de doon. Ye sukh suvidhaaye meri liye koi mahatva nahi rakhti. Mere jeevan mein aapse adhik mahatvpurn koi nahi hai, Aarya. Aapki suraksha aur prasannata ke liye main har seema lang sakti hoon.
She told him passionately, staring directly into his soul through his eyes.
Yudhishthir sighed, having been rendered speechless at the magnitude of his wife's love for him. He wordlessly knocked his forehead against her, cherishing & enjoying her closeness.
Y: Ati shigra priye....main uss dusht ko dhoondh nikalunga. Tatpashchat hum apne ghar laut sakenge.
The two smiled blissfully at the thought, enjoying each other's company.
Noticing how worn out & tired she looked, Yudhishthir looked at her with concern.
Y: Aap bohot thak gayi hai, Priye. Aiyye, vishram kijiye.
He told her gently, stroking her cheeks with his thumbs. Draupadi shook her head, saying that she had a couple of tasks left, but her rather long yawn interrupted her. Dharmraj merely raised an eyebrow at his wife, who was busy keeping some of his freshly washed clothes away.
Draupadi gasped as her husband ignored all her protests & effortless scooped her up in his arms, tenderly laying her down on the bed in his chambers.
Draupadi opened her mouth to speak, but Yudhishthir pressed his large, scabrous digit against her rosebud like lips causing her heart to tremble & brain turn to mush, causing her to forget all her protests.
His thick fingers continued to stroke her hair after he covered her with the silk sheets, all the while smiling at her in his usual calm & peaceful manner, easing her mind completely.
Draupadi had was completely humbled, & overwhelmed at being blessed with this perfect, beautiful man as her husband. After millions of struggles too a girl could only dream of such a husband, but she was really lucky.
His lips on her sensitive skin, skimming down her temple, her being emcased in his warmth were the last things she registered before drifting off to slee, into the land of dreams filled with a certain handsome, copper eyed king.
*****
Meanwhile, a severe looking man sat in a modest living room of a house. He was bald, with chandan on his forehead, wearing a crisp dhoti & angvastra.
M: Pranipaat, pitashree!
Mala greeted him, but he waved it off.
" Mahamantri Kank kaise hai, putri?"
Amatya Subodh questioned his daughter directly, without any small talk.
S: Avashya hi abtak tumne apne roop se mohit kar, vivaah ke liye sajj kar liya hoga.
He inquired, with a proud smile on his face which faded seeing Mala's downcast eyes.
M: Kshyama kijiye pitashree....abtak toh nahi. Mahamantri Kank ne toh meri orr theek se dekha bhi nahi. Uss murk Sairandhri ne unhe apne vash mein kar rakha hai, mahal ke anya pursho ki bhaati.
Na jaane inn sabko ussmein itni kya ruchi hai?
She scoffed, making a face as she began to devise ways to seperate the two.
Meanwhile, Amatya Subodh was livid. He had a plan, & it could not be ruined by stupid women pining for some man. Kank was his ticket, his ladder to climb up higher in the society. The king had not favoured anyone as he did for Kank, who practically ran the kingdom, & with great skill, he had to admit.
Having this man as his son-in-law would only do wonders for his family. Fortunately, his otherwise silly daughter too didn't seem to mind this plan, rather was eager for it, given her prospective husband's natural good looks & charm which could captivate any young maiden. Kank was a treasure that he would be the first to snatch up, no matter what!
He would eliminate anyone & everyone coming in his way!
