"What happened?" Carly asked pointing to where the blue portal just was.

AJ and Herb quickly turned.

"Crap, I forgot about her." AJ said to herself.

Herb handed AJ a futuristic looking gun and she nodded, knowing what she has to do.

When Carly's back was turned, a laser shot out from the gun and hit Carly who then passed out.

"She's not dead, right?" AJ asked Herb for confirmation.

"Carly's alive alright! We gotta take her down to the Lab for retrieval." The short man replied. 

AJ nodded and created a portal which she stepped in and got Carly into.

Time: 8:01 AM

Location: The foyer of the Umbrella Academy

Five, Luther, and Viv, staggered out of the portal and the brunette teen fell on the marble floor.

Luther held out his hand and Viv stood up, pulling on his hand for support.

"Thanks, big man." She said, hitting Luther on the back.

"Ow." He said to himself. 

Five glared at Viv.

"What?" She asked as she crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow.

Five was about to say something before there was a lot of stomping coming from the up the steps. Here we see Allison, Klaus, and Vanya running down the steps to see the newcomer.

"I WIN!" Klaus exclaimed wearing no shirt and holding a beer bottle.

"What do you mean?! I won!" Allison scoffed.

"When did we start racing?" Vanya asked.

"Guys!" Five exclaimed, quickly gaining attention from the trio.

Allison and Vanya studied Viv, but Klaus immediately walked over to the 13-year-old and hugged her. 

"Hi, Jane!" He exclaimed.

"What?" Viv asked, pushing the guy off.

"You're Jane!" Klaus said.

Five shook his head and led everyone into the kitchen, purposefully locking Klaus out. 

"Rude." He said before taking another swig from his beer bottle and retiring upstairs to his bedroom. 

"Now that, he's gone, introduce yourself to the fam." Five said as he walked towards the fridge to get a bottle of water.

"Oh, okay. Um... hi. I'm Viv." She said, not knowing what to say. "Yeah, that's... it."

Viv awkwardly sat down in the chair next to her and Allison smiled at her.

"Well, nice to meet you, Viv. I'm Allison." She said.

Viv nodded and returned the favor.

"This is Vanya," She said pointing to the brunette in a red sweater.

"Hi." Vanya said as she fiddled with the sleeve of her sweater.

"Hey." Viv replied.

Five coughed and immediately got the attention from all of them.

"Look, Herb assigned her to me." He said, gesturing towards Viv.

"What do you mean by 'assigned'?" Vanya asked.

"I mean she has powers." Luther replied.

Allison and Vanya turned their heads to look at Viv who scoffed, "Thank you, thank you very much."

"What powers does she have..." Allison asked, choosing her words carefully.

"Well, so far Earth manipulation. We don't know what other relatives there are, yet." Five explained.

"Relatives?" Luther asked.

"Look at Vanya, she manipulates sound, since sound is everywhere, she can manipulate virtually anything. Whatever she uses her power on is her relative. Her absolute is sound. Makes sense?" Five replied. 

The three siblings nodded in recognition.

"Well then, how do we get to know her... relatives and absolute?" Allison asked.

"All we really can do... is train her." Five said crossing his arms.

Luther, Allison, and Vanya looked at Viv who was lost in the middle of the whole conversation.

"I'm sorry, what?" Viv asked.

"We're gonna train you to be the best super-powered you you can be." Luther said, biting into an apple he had gotten somewhere.

Time: 8:27 AM

Location: A lab somewhere under the Commission

AJ adjusted Carly into a metal seat where they were going to take her memories that included anything with Viv, powers, or the Commission. 

Herb stood behind a big control panel that had what looked like hundreds of buttons and switches that only someone had read the manual for the panel cover to cover could operate, and that someone was the squat man in glasses.

"When are we starting?" AJ asked as she tightened the belt buckles around Carly's wrists.

"On your word." Herb squeaked.

Rivera finally finished with Carly's preparation and stood behind Herb, ready to tell him when to start.

"Now." AJ said.

Herb immediately flipped a small switch and the helmet that was above Carly's head slowly lowered.

Now with her eyes covered, Carly's hands started twitching and her strapped feet was shaking.

"Herb, is that supposed to happen?" AJ asked, noticing Herb leaning over the panel flipping random switches and pressing random buttons.

"No!" He said continuing the process.

Carly opened her eyes, the irises turned purple. 

"Holy..." Herb started.

"Shit." AJ said as she watched Carly's hands glow purple, a brighter shade than her eyes.

Suddenly, a burst of purple blasted throughout the lab of the Commission. AJ and Herb ducked behind the panel.

A couple seconds later, the pink and purple smoke that filled the room wafted away.

"What the hell just happened?" AJ asked.

Herb stood up and saw the chair that Carly once sat in was empty... and sizzling.

"Where's Carly?" He asked.
