* Two-month time skip*

It's the holiday season at Hogwarts. But that's really obvious. The whole outline of the school is covered in garlands and ornaments. They tried to outdo it this year. After the war, everyone was depressed. This is supposed to be a time for happiness and fun and whatnot.

"Those still here for the holidays are as follows: 6th and 7th years, Ginny Weasley, Luna Lovegood, Hermione Granger, Cho Chang, Neville Longbottom, Draco Malfoy, Blaise Zabini..." Professor McGonagall.

"Pansy, hurry, I don't want you to be late to meet my parents," Ron calls across the Hogsmead train station. "Pansy Parkinson, and to think we were enemies." Ron sighs under his breath and smiles to himself.

You see, a lot has happened in two months. Ron and Pansy started dating. Ginny and Harry broke up. Draco and I started being nice to each other in public. I also told Harry about Draco and I. At first, he was bloody mad, yelling in rage and close to breaking my wand. I made him promise not to tell Ron or the other Weasleys. Fred and George were okay with it. They visited one day to give out free Weasley Wizard Wheezes products to cheer everyone up. George's fiance, Angelina Johnson, surprised everyone by saying she was taken on by the Chudley Canons for this quidditch season.

Draco's mother is going to visit Hogwarts the day before Christmas to take us to Hogsmead. I was thinking of going to Hogsmead to shop for Draco. He always talks about firewhiskey, a disgusting magic whiskey that makes your throat burn, face turn red, and has smoke coming out of your ears.

"Say your goodbyes, then we can head back to Hogwarts," McGonagall's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. "Students are to report to their common rooms for an announcement by their heads of houses."

"Don't worry Mione, we'll see them again in January," Draco's warm hand folds over my frozen hand as we start the long walk back to Hogwarts.
