Lua had woken up, both surprised and embarrassed that things had unfolded as they did. Lorelei had gotten up from the bed already and even made breakfast. Lorelei felt that it was her obligation to make something for Lua, especially after all the memories of last night flooded her mind, the things they did were animalistic and beyond any reason. She didn't believe that she had it in her, but a lot of it was pent up in her and a single moment took to let it all out.
Lorelei: Morning. I brought you breakfast.
Lua: Ah, m-morning. Thank you.
They both can't look each other in the eyes out of sheer embarrassment. As Lua eats, there is a awkward silence, neither of them want to speak up, instead they just sit in it. But once Lua had finished the meal Lorelei decides to break the ice and speaks up.
Lorelei: So, uh, about last night. We kind of, you know, went a little too far.
Lua: I don't think so. Why would you say that?
Lorelei: Wait, you seriously don't find it strange. I mean, we barely know each other and here we are, woke up in the same bed after indulging in something that we shouldn't have.
Lua: I don't care, I like you and I enjoyed it quite a lot. I didn't know I could that, I further pushed my known limits.
Lorelei: Listen, we not only do not know each other enough, but we are both women and not to forget, not from the same universe.
Lua: Well, now I am in your universe, we know each other enough and I don't care if you and I are both women, it isn't forbidden.
Lorelei: But I expected to be with a guy, especially in a relationship.
Lua: You might think that, but I remember last night you didn't care about that, did you. Plus, I think you enjoyed it much more than you thought you would so that is why you are denying it.
Lorelei can't say anything back, despite what she is saying, she can't help but agree that she did enjoy it more than she thought she would. Lua is correct, it isn't forbidden, it' just that she wanted a guy, but something about Lua does put that wish aside and a need for a compromise. To break her very own rule.
Lorelei: Do you seriously like me?
Lua: Yep, I mean, you had the courage to step up and defy those bastards and I wanted to thank you. And plus, I kind of found you quite nice, so yeah, I do like you. And would honestly like to have a serious thing with you.
Lorelei: Like a real, full on relationship?
Lua: Yeah.
Lorelei: I don't know, what would the others think, especially if they found out who you really are.
Lua: So what if they found out, I don't care. I can take down anyone I want, plus, if you get targeted you can come with us. You would like it.
Lorelei: If I were to accept, would you be willing to speak with our leaders. Not, actually, you wouldn't be willing, that is what you would be doing.
Lua: Hmmm, only if I am allowed to invite some of my friends.
Lorelei: I won't mind it, in fact, it would be beneficial. I am just going to have to contact my commander, in person.
Lua: Alright, that seals it, we are in a relationship and I am going to go get my friends.
Lorelei: So, uh, I better be going.
Lua plants a kiss on Lorelei's lips before nodding. They get dressed and head their separate ways, Lua going to get her friends and Lorelei heads over to the tower. Once she makes it to the tower she passes by her fireteam members who notice that she is in a hurry, because she didn't greet them back. Not because she didn't want to, but because she didn't see them, she is far too preoccupied by far more important things. She takes an elevator down to Zavala's office. Walking inside she can see that there are a couple familiar faces, Osiris, Ikora, Eris and Mara, they seem to have had an important talk before she barged in.
Osiris: Can't you at least knock before entering.
Lorelei: Sorry about that, but I have some great news.
Osiris: If it is something about you then you can keep it to yourself.
Zavala: Osiris, let her speak, she wouldn't act like this if it isn't important.
Lorelei: Thank you commander and screw you Osiris. I have arranged a meeting with our subjects.
Osiris: She has lost her mind it seems.
Ikora: What do you mean by subjects?
Lorelei: The warriors that we have encountered a couple of times, you know, the ones that we don't know anything about.
Zavala: What? How? When?
Lorelei: Yep, this morning me and uh, well, my girlfriend now I guess agreed upon it.
Eris: How can your girlfriend arrange a meeting?
Lorelei: Well, she is one of them.
Everyone in unison: WHAT?!
Osiris: How can you be in a relationship with a machine of war? And why didn't you report to us that there was one in the Last City?
Ikora: Osiris is right, you should have reported this. Who knows what kind of dangers those things posses?
Lorelei: Well, I was kind of planning to, but one drink too many and we woke up together.
Osiris: You slept with one of those things?
Lorelei: No, I slept with the person who controls it. They are humans, well, were humans, it is really complicated. But, people control those, what they call frames.
Mara: So, those things that the commander had told me about, they are controlled by humans?
Lorelei nods, but before more questions could be asked there is a message, it is urgent it seems. A transmission from one of the crews in charge of the radar and detecting dangers seems to have a message of high priority.
Crew: Sir, we have detected a massive vessel heading for the city. It doesn't appear to be any knows vessel. The vessel is moving quickly, descending from the atmosphere.
Everyone exchanges worried glances and look out of the large window looking out into the city. It is quite stormy today and there is thick clouds covering the sky. But from that thick cover emerges a shape of a ship, a ship never seen before. It is massive and the design is alien.
It stops, floating above the Last City, sending panic all throughout, the comms lighting up like a Christmas tree. From it, a couple small, pieces break off and fly towards the tower. Everyone rushes out of the office making their way towards the courtyard where they seems to have stopped and are floating above. All present Guardians pointing their weapons at it, some even cast their supers. Lorelei recognizes these small ships, the same ones that the water frame left in. Lua told her about them, they are called Lisets. The underbelly of the ships has a cylinder where the frames are able to leave from, they rotate and five frames drop. The water one that she first encountered, Lua's frame but the other three she doesn't recognize. One is male, probably, thin with a weird arm and cut in the middle, the second one is a muscly female, like a really muscly, absurd amount of muscle mass. And the third one is weird, a robotic almost looking female frame with a weird head, almost reminds her of a helmet warlocks use called Eye of Another World.
They have weapons on them, but not ready, clearly either not ready for conflict or most likely, not even slightly afraid of the Guardians. Lorelei knows that this can't be kept secret anymore, if only Lua had told her that they were coming, they might have been able to come without drawing so much attention. She walks up to the five frames, everyone looking confused, thinking that either she is crazy of stupid. She turns to face everyone.
Lorelei: It is all ok, these aren't our enemies, we were kind of expecting them.
Shiro steps forward.
Shiro: What the hell is this Lorelei? What are they doing here?
Lorelei: Long story, but don't worry, they aren't here to fight.
But it seems that some don't listen, they start to shoot, but the frames don't react, well apart form one. The robotic one puts her arms to her waist, holding them apart when a ball of some sort of energy appears and all the bullets are quickly pulled towards it, plus some screws that were on the ground. Those who were shooting quickly stop as they see that the ball of energy is fully enclosed in a thick layer of bullets. The frame then starts to spin the bullets around with her hands, all of them pointing at the Guardians. There is a tense moment, some awaiting for her to release them all at the crowd. But instead she just lets the drop on the ground, a couple hundred bullets all fall to the ground.
Lorelei: Commander, here they are, can we go somewhere private where we can talk.
Zavala: Follow after me.
The frames nod and the group follows after Zavala, along with the aforementioned leaders, they walk into a large conference room, everyone is tense, well, when by everyone, the members of the Vanguard. Once they enter the room there is a prolonged silence, nobody speaking. Lorelei elbows Lua's frame, catching her attentions, signaling her to come out. Lua appears out of nowhere, confusing the leaders of the Vanguard, but four more appear. Three boys and one girl, one boy wears a fine looking suit, he has dark skin and blonde hair, second boy seems to have some sort of dark leather suit, his skin pale with brown hair and the third boy looks like your average teenage boy, has normal looking clothes and brown hair. And then there is the girl, her skin is blue, which, if she were awoken it would be normal, but she isn't, something different is at play. Lua finally decides to break up the silence.
Lua: Greetings. My name is Lua, the blond boy's name is Vombask, then there is Michaele, Ezekiel and Ceres. And these are our frames, my frames name is Garuda, Vombasks is Caliban, Michaele's is Hildryn and Ceres's is Hydroid. You may know her as she was probably one of the first you encountered. But worry not, there are more of us, they just couldn't bother to come, they had other, business to attend to.
Zavala: Greetings to you Lua, we were informed that you would be coming but we didn't expect it to be so soon.
Lorelei: Yea, what the hell was that Lua, you should have at least informed me about it.
Lua: Yea, sorry about that. I didn't know how to contact you.
Mara steps forward, walking up to the frames, cupping Ceres's face and taking a look at her, but Ceres doesn't seem to enjoy that too much as she retreats into her frame and points her pistols at Mara's head. Everyone tenses up, but Mara doesn't seem to be afraid, instead, she is even more intrigued. She chuckles.
Lua: Relax Ceres, she probably didn't mean any harm. Did you?
Mara: No, not at all. It is my fault for being so, touchy, but I was intrigued by her skin color. Is she an Awoken?
Ceres appears back.
Ceres: What the hell is an Awoken? I am an Orokin, a pure blooded at that.
Zavala: Orokin?
Lorelei: Alright, since everyone has a lot of questions why don't we all sit down and talk about it. And no unnecessary touching.
Zavala? Indeed.
They all sit down at the large table, Tenno on one side and Vanguard and their allies on the other side. This might be a start of a new alliance, who knows, they might be able to help the Vanguard and Guardians fight off their enemies. A power that these frames and Tenno posses is valuable and strong. But it all depends on how these talks go and if they manage to come to an mutual agreement.
