"You know, Natsu, sometimes I forget that you have your own house."

I look over my shoulder at Natsu who stands with both of his hands behind his head. He shrugs at me.

"My bed is covered in a bunch of stuff."

I roll my eyes and look back over my shoulder to the door to my apartment.

"Maybe if you'd clean up after yourself."

I grab my keys from my pocket and slide them into the lock.

"The only reason my place doesn't look like yours is because I always end up cleaning up after you."

The lock clicks and I turn the handle. The door squeaks open and a blast of cold air rushes into me. I tremble and look around the dark room. My eyes stop at the window that sits open. Wind whistles through the window, sending a shiver down my spine.

"Why is the window open?"

I hug my arms around myself and take a step towards the window to close it when a feeling of foreboding grips onto me. I pause and just as soon as I do, a hand grabs onto my shoulder and pulls me backwards. I stumble back and end up behind Natsu who looks toward the corner of the room with a glare on his face.

"Who are you?"

I glance over Natsu's shoulder, who stands in front of me protectively. A chill runs through my body when I look at the corner of the room.

I gasp when I see the outline of a figure in my room. Fear grips onto my body and I quickly rush over to switch on the lights.

The light washes over the person and his identify becomes apparent to both of us. My eyes widen. Natsu falters and his guard slowly lowers, his fists falling to his sides. My fear fades away and gets replaced with confusion and dread.

The person lifts his head towards Natsu.

"I should have known you'd be here. I always preferred to be here rather than my own home."

Natsu seems to be paralyzed in shock so I take a step in front of him. I look at the person, my eyebrows creased with tension.

"Natsu?"

The person smiles, his head of spiky pink hair and facial features giving away his identity that I would never be able to mistake for even a moment.

"It's me, Lucy. Natsu."
