The Magic Portal
It's right there.
In my bedroom, on my bedside table and there's more than one,
I swear!
The magic portal leading to a new world,
Luring my sleepy mind towards dreams,
Each night to a different place.
I lay down in bed,
At the end of day,
So tired, so sad,
For another day is gone to never return.
But then I recall my secret portals,
Hidden from jealous eyes under my night dress' lace,
And pick one at random.
It doesn't matter which.
My mind is too tired,
To follow more than a few lines.
My dreams will do the rest.
It only matters that the day,
Doesn't finish just yet.
Thanks to my portals it becomes infinite,
And maybe I'll live forever,
In days turning to nights to days,
In an endless circle,
My soul transported into one of my books.
