Born of blood, fire, and ash

Belladonna and Blossom Peters, or miracles as their parents called them, grew up in a nice, normal home. Their parents had tried for children for a long time with no success until one spring night. The Peters' were blessed with two healthy twins, a surprise as most of their pregnancies ended before the first trimester. And so the twins were loved and doted on by their parents. They attended the best schools and dance classes, as nothing was too good for the twins. But as they aged, a rift began to form. Not between them but their parents. The girls were very shy so they spent most of their time together, never leaving each other's side and cooped up in their shared room.

Daphne and Bloom were truly best friends. They both took dance lessons, both captains of dance team and cheer, and both loved to read. But most importantly, they were both incredibly shy. They didn't socialize much and kept to their selves. So most of their time was spent together as they didn't have many friends. Their mother, having enough, basically threw them out of the house and forced them to separate. She turned the guest room into Bloom's room and physically separated the twins, even putting in place strict rules about spending time together.

The twins began to become withdrawn and moody. Bloom was a little more angry than usual but she managed to make some friends, as she was always a bit more popular than Daphne. Bloom was sad but for the most part, she blossomed without her twin. Unlike Bloom though, Daphne became more than just angry.. she became ruthless and unemotional. Her words were so sharp and cold that you could almost feel the temperature drop as she spoke. Though when she did speak it was only to Bloom and occasionally their father. She would ignore her mother's existence, staring right through her as if she was nothing. Because Daphne wasn't just alone and sad, she was angry.

And it was all her mothers fault

But one night things tipped over. Daphne and Bloom were spending their Friday night together watching scary movies after Daphne had a particularly bad day. The two hadn't spent time together in over a week and Bloom was beginning to worry about Daphne. But in the middle of the movie, their mother barged in yelling about how they were supposed to be 'making friends' and that they were going to end up alone if they continued to cling onto each other.

Daphne finally broke and yelled at her mother. In turn she slapped Daphne across the face, drawing blood and leaving a nasty mark on her face. But Daphne didn't react, she simply left Bloom's room and returned to hers, quietly locking the door. Bloom, furious at their mother, aggressively pushed her out of her room and slammed the door in her face, telling her she'd never forgive her. Their mother didn't care and grounded them both. She even threatened to send them away, one to the East coast and the other to the West coast; permanently separating them.

And something snapped in Daphne

That night both twins lie awake, one boiled with anger and the other consumed with revenge. Daphne felt as if her blood was lava, as if the rage inside her was a dragon breathing fire, and she was shaking as she tried to hold it in. But the more she thought of her mother, the more her anger consumed her. And after some time a trail of fire, a mix of blue and orange, heads towards her parents room. The fire consumes everything in its path and thick black smoke clings to the walls, filling their house; specifically towards their parent's room. Bloom is the first to snap out of it and save her parents, thinking her twin made it out. But Daphne sat in her room, watching as the flames licked her skin with a smile; as the fire burnt her clothes to dust but yet she remained un-burnt.

That night changed everything and the twins soon end up at a school for fairies, where they find more than they bargained for. Will Daphne and Bloom survive the secrets and lies of Alfea College? Or will Daphne lose herself in this new world?

Because one thing was clear,
Daphne would be getting her revenge.
No matter the cost.
