Flynn liked Tessa. They liked Tessa as much as they could at this age really. Flynn has had many crushes just like this one. The only difference was that Tessa was a person they couldn't avoid. She was his best friend.

All those other crushes were on people he wouldn't see everyday. They were people who didn't hug them everyday, people who wouldn't laugh at his stupid jokes, they were people who didn't know him as well as anyone could.

Which is why Flynn is doing something he never does. He's hiding. He doesn't hide, he was taught by his mom and dad that you shouldn't hide. It doesn't help and it will make things worse in the long run.

Flynn usually listened to their parents, but this wasn't a situation that telling the truth would help. If Tessa knew about his feelings then it would ruin everything. Their friendship and honestly, rejection is not fun. So Flynn decided to hide figuratively and literally.

He was hiding his feelings which isn't something he's the best at. Almost everyone except Tessa could see that they had a huge crush on her. They would blush if she was too close and giggle too much around her. They could also see how sad he got when Dee would show up. It's not like Flynn hated him. Flynn was incapable of hating anyone. It's just that whenever Dee showed up, he would flirt with her and take her away from Flynn. It just made it more clear to Flynn that Tessa didn't like him and she never would. Not the way he liked her.

It was Ben's Coronation Party. Flynn was having a great time, they got to dance with Tessa and hang out with all their friends. They were having fun until Dee came up and stole Tessa away. At least Leah talked him through it. But it still ruined his night. Which is why he is currently hiding away from Tessa so she couldn't see through his act and pester him about why they were sad.

At least in this stupid closet he could cry quietly to himself. They were a very emotional person and sometimes they needed a good cry. He was trying to be as quiet as they could, so they wouldn't bother anyone, but alas someone still managed to hear.

Zahra opened the door to find Flynn sitting on the ground, holding his knees with tears running down his face. He looked up at her, wiping his tears quickly and sniffling. She looked down at him with a sad smile before taking a seat next to him.

They both sat in silence for a few minutes, looking straight ahead. Flynn didn't understand how Zahra was so good at acting calm all the time. Even when Ben announced his plans she just stood there with a neutral face.

"I don't know what I was thinking." Flynn said, breaking the silence but still staring straight ahead. "I was going to ask her to the Coronation. She was probably gonna say no anyway."

"Don't say that." Zahra said in her monotone voice. "You know, for the son of Flynn Rider, you aren't very self-assured."

Flynn let out an amused breath wiping their remaining tears. "I'm more like my mom."

Zahra sighed after more silence, and turned her head to Flynn. "How do you feel about Ben's big announcement?"

"I think it's brave of him. I also support it. We shouldn't judge people we don't know." Flynn said, taking a deep breath.

"I agree." Zahra said, getting up and brushing off her dress giving him a small smile. "I just know this will be interesting."

Then she was gone leaving Flynn alone once again. They decided to continue sitting there, no matter how much he hated enclosed spaces. Their thoughts went back to the Vk's and how it would feel to have them all here. They liked the idea of being able to meet new people, especially people they know nothing about.

He also agreed with Zahra. This would be interesting.
