Chapter 10

Castian's POV:

"Eh?" Where is Young Master? Is he still in a meeting? But his meeting starts only at 3pm today.

"If you're finding for the Boss, he went out with Xander." A clear yet slightly cold voice rang out, sending a shiver down my spine.

"Eh?! Where? When?"

"A cafe down the road. Left 5 minutes ago. I wonder when did they become so close..."

"A c-cafe?" Is Young Master sick of my food already? That's why he went to a cafe? But I always cook different things... is my standard dropping?! Did I forget to sterilize his cutleries that's why he doesn't want my food?! But I always remember to sterilize them!

Suddenly, a strong firm grip grabbed hold of my shoulders. I don't even know since when have I been squatting down. "Look here," and that I did. I must admit, the view from down here looks way much better then up there. My goddess just screams dominance. "Just because the Boss went to a cafe doesn't mean he hates your food. He must have forgotten to tell you that, that's all and you were talking out loud so I couldn't just ignore." She reassured, a faint blush appearing on her cheeks.

"Okay... then would you like to have it?" I suggested, praying that she'll accept it but down right rejected.

"No thanks." She replied flatly, crossing her arms at me. Eh? Here I was thinking it was a good chance to spend some time to learn about my goddess. Sucks to be me then...

"Oh... ok.... I'll throw it away then." Shrugging carefreely to cover up my disappointment, I flung the lunch boxes behind my back before walking off. I'll just stuff myself till I burst I guess.

"Wait! I-I'll take it. B-But if I have food poisoning, you are taking responsibility! Got it?" She called out swiftly in a slightly panicky voice. Hearing her words, I stopped in my track, turning my head back slightly to see her looking away from me, her ear however exposed, glowing a bright shade of red. Cute.

Spinning around, I mock-saluted at her, "Loud and clear madam!" making her cheeks burn hot in embarrassment as she tried to hide her blushing red face. "Do you want to eat together?"

"T-The rooftop is nice..." She suggested softly, her face still a shade of rosy red.

"Sure. The rooftop it is. Let's go." Sticking my hand out to her, she approached it cautiously, contemplating hard on whether or not if she should hold it. Ah. I'll let her hate me later for this. Grabbing her hand, I wrapped my fingers around her much softer and slender ones in a firm grip before leading her by hand and up the stairs which was the only way to access the rooftop. Eh..there are no benches or chairs here. How can I let her sit on the floor. Should I bent over and let her sit on my back?

"Here." She tugged my hand lightly, pulling us into a shady corner where the breeze blow gently against our faces. There she then sat on the ground without much hesitation as I stared at her in wonder. "What? Never seen a lady sit on the floor?"

"Honestly? Never. You're the first." I said in amusement but accidentally offended her when she glared at me.

"Well sorry I'm the first-"

"I don't mean it in a bad way! I'm just amazed. Most women I've seen wouldn't even sit on a clean floor and there's you." I quickly cut in, not wanting to soil the mood and have her leaving because of a misunderstanding.

"Well, I'm not like most women that's for sure."

"Yes yes. You aren't. Neither have I let any other women try my food before." I said casually before passing her a box and spare cutleries then sitting beside her cross-legged. She turned to face me with slightly widened eyes as I shrugged back at her in reply. What? It's not that surprising, is it?

Nothing was said after that. Although all we did was just sit quietly beside each other while enjoying the scenery and nature wonders but weirdly, I felt content, especially when she says that she enjoyed my food and thanked me for it. Man, I swear my heart went into an overdrive mode. Have mercy on me, my goddess.

Third Person's POV:

"Xander." Kye called out softly almost like a whisper making Xander rise his brows at him in question. "Is it me or are people staring at us?" Just as Kye had suspected, eyes were on the two of them. Only when Xander turned to look that they quickly turned away, pretending that nothing was wrong or that they weren't even staring at the first place.

"Here you go Sirs, your orders." A waitress said politely as she placed their orders down lightly before leaving.

Just as Xander was about to dig in, he noticed that Kye was eyeing the cutleries hesitantly, making him wonder what's wrong. "What's wrong?" He questioned but did not seem to catch Kye's attention. Snapping his fingers in front of his face, Kye jumped lightly at the sudden sound, snapping back into reality.

"N-Nothing! Just- nothing." Kye murmured out softly with head down in the table. He felt conflicted whether he should just use the cutleries or tell Xander about his cleanliness problem but then again, he didn't dare to in case Xander starts to judge him for being such a clean-freak.

"Just tell me. I can't understand if you aren't willing to tell me, Kye. I won't judge, don't worry." Xander reassured in a calming manner, as if trying to convince a child to confront in him.

Lifting his eyes from the table slightly, Kye peered into Xander's eyes to see if there was any form of lie in his words but to no avail. Letting out a soft breath, he finally spilled the beans, eyes however, not daring to look at Xander's face afterwards in fear for his reaction. "T-The cutleries... they're not sterilized..."

"Ah... will hot water do the trick?" Xander suggested as Kye nodded meekly. "Soaked or rinsed?"

"Rinsed..."

"Gotcha. See, it wasn't that hard to tell me what's wrong right?" Xander ruffled Kye's hair lightly before taking hold of his cutleries and walking away from the table.

Hardly even 5 minutes later, he came back with the cutleries in hand, handing Kye the warm sterilized set of cutleries which Kye received from him with much gratitude. "Here ya go, Kye. Hand-rinsed for ya."

"Thanks, Xan- your hand! What happened?" He gasped in shock when he noticed that Xander's right hand was red hot. Then he remembered Xander saying that it was hand-rinsed which made him panic even more.

"Ah nothing to worry about. It's nothing." Xander waved him off cooly as Kye panicked over his hand.

"Nothing?! Your hand is all red!" Wasting no time, Kye dragged the larger male by the wrist to the washroom before holding Xander's hand under the running tap. The whole time, his eyes swam with panic and fear even though Xander tried to reassure him that it was nothing as it was more like a slight numb to him than how it looked.

"Kye, calm down. It's really nothing." Placing a firm hand on Kye's shoulder, he was surprised when he realised that Kye was actually trembling in fear. Removing his hand from under the tap, he spun Kye around to face him only to be surprised himself when he spotted tears dripping down Kye's face and onto the ceramic tiles beneath their feet. His heart clenched at the sight before him as he fought the urge to pull Kye into a hug in case it was inappropriate.

Lifting Kye's head up by his chin, he wiped his tears away gently before cupping his cheek lightly. "What's a grown up man crying like that for? I didn't know that you're such a crybaby." He joked lightly, trying to make ease of the situation. Opening his eyes slowly, Kye glared slightly at Xander for making fun of him before swiping his hand away from him, unintentionally hitting Xander's burned one, making him hiss lightly.

"S-Sorry! I didn't mean to-" Kye quickly apologised but turn to glare at Xander once again when he heard him snickering lightly.

"Just kidding. But hey, did you really cry just because I burnt my hand?" Xander teased, bugging Kye over his shoulders as they walked out of the washroom.

"Shut up. Let's go back. The food is getting cold already." Kye mumbled out in embarrassment before returning to his seat quickly with Xander following behind him with an amused look on his face.

As soon as they're done with their meals, the same waitress approached their table once again, placing a tall cocktail glass down before them as Xander and Kye stared at her in confusion.

"Sorry Miss but we did not order this." Xander immediately pointed out. This made the waitress chuckle before shaking her head lightly at his words.

"Don't worry sir, it's on the house for all our customers just for today. Enjoy." She said nicely before leaving Kye and Xander staring awkwardly between themselves and the glass containing a strawberry cocktail drink and a couple straw which was meant for sharing.

"You can have it." Xander offered quickly, clearing his throat at the awkwardness.

"Huh? N-No. You take it. I'm good." Kye replied flusteredly, waving his hands out in protest.

"No no. I can't finish all."

"Neither can I...ummm...do you want to you know...share?" Kye suggested hesitantly, eyes averted away from Xander's stunned gaze.

"I-I'll ask for another straw then."

"O-Ok." As soon as Xander left the table, he came back as fast as he had left, making Kye stare at him questioningly. "What's wrong?"

"Apparently they say that they're out of straws." Xander scratched the back of his head lightly before taking his seat and breathing out a long sigh. This was the most awkward meal he ever had, he swears.

"Ah....."

"Yeah...."

"Ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to Stan's cafe once every 4 months couple event! I'm Belle and I'm your host for today's event!" That's when they both realised why they've been receiving weird glances occasionally and received the free glass of drink. They had unknowingly stumbled into a couples event despite a large banner being pasted outside the cafe's doors. (A.N: Who knows how blind they are. Oh I know. They are blindly in love with each other. Oh! They're blinded by love! Who agrees!)

Their faces immediately grew hot as they turned away from each other quickly. One pretending to watch the scenery outside, another pretending to count the number of vegetable strands leftover on the plates.

"First of, we have a quiz! Do participate actively as we have attractive prizes to give away! We'll then have a mini competition between you lovely couples, a game and then a special performance by one of our local favourites who will be performing a song for us! Hope you'll enjoy!"

~ Time Skip ~

"For the 12th question... may I ask the couple at the back! Hello sirs! You two over there! Hellooo....?" The host announced loudly over the microphone but was plainly ignored by Xander and Kye who were too busy trying to avoid another's gaze to even pay attention to their surroundings.

Putting her finger over her lips towards the couples, the host tiptoed over to their table before kneeling down low beside their table and announcing into the microphone. "Sirs, please do not fondle each other under the table and leave us out of the fun. It's not nice to do that. Sharing is caring remember?"

"We're not!" They chorused immediately with red faces, causing the other couples to burst out laughing, some even choking on their drinks.

"Sure... then do participate okay? So the question for you guys is... when is International Condom Day?" She questioned as Kye stared at Xander with questioning eyes.

"What's condom?" Kye asked back innocently, rendering the host speechless as she looked towards Xander for help.

"Ah you know...the rubber like thing which can be... blown up into balloons?" The host explained flusteredly, earning snickers and giggles from the crowd. Xander on the other hand was trying to hold himself back from banging his head against the glass walls when he realised that Kye didn't even know the basic of protected sex, wondering how sheltered his life even was.

Whispering '13 Feb' swiftly into the host's ear, she announced excitedly that it was the correct answer before handing him a $10 starbucks gift card as reward. This quiz lasted a total of 25 questions before changing into mini games.

"For this game, can I request that the ladies and the beautiful male at the back to stay seated while the manly partners to come up forward? Those seated, please blindfold yourselves with the long cloth which was given out just now. Now the guys are going to walk around placing their hands in those seated. For those seated, if you think that the hand placed in yours belongs to your partner, raise up your hand silently. No changing is allowed. The game will end once all hands are raised. Let the game... begin!"

As soon as the game started, the whole cafe turned into a sea of silence that's filled with focus and anticipation. Hands were slowly raised as time ticked by and within 15 minutes, all hands were raised and blindfolds are removed. Some started laughing at their wrong choice of partners while others grinning victoriously. Kye on the other hand was blushing like mad upon seeing that he had downright chosen Xander's.

"How?" Xander asked in an amused tone. He wasn't expecting Kye to choose his hand as they hardly even held hands excluding the part when they pull each other around.

"It's warmer than the usual ones..." Kye explained embarrassedly. Afterall, how can he forget the warmth radiating out of Xander's hand after what he had done for him.

"Well look at that! Great going guys! For those who managed to find the right pair, do step up for your prizes! Not to worry for those who've chosen the wrong ones, you all still get a prize." As reward, those who had picked their right pair got to choose between a pair of movie tickets of a 1-for-1 dining coupon for their next visit while those who weren't so lucky still got to walk away with $5 coupons off their next order.

"So... which one do you want?"

"Which would you prefer?"

"Well... we can always watch movies at my place if you don't mind of course." Xander suggested as Kye nodded in agreement. "Dining coupon it is then."

"Next wednesday?"

"Next wednesday it is."

Well holy shiz 2471 words. I died writing this chapter. Lol. Hope it's not too long and draggy for ya'll.
