I ran to my room before the others could notice. Tears streaming down my face as Thomas has a panic attack. I lock my door shut and curl into a ball on the floor shaking. I always get the attacks 10x worse and they are often longer.

"Hey Kiddo, can I come in?" I hear Patton say breaking up my thoughts.

"N-not now Pat," I respond try to keep the tears and pain out of my voice.

"Ok Kiddo," I hear a disappointed Pat say.

I go into a door on they side of my room that everyone thinks is a closet and close the door behind me. I feel the light breeze go through my hair and take a deep breath. This is the 1st out of 2 places that my thoughts can't come for me. Beautiful green grass meadow surrounds me and the sweet scent of rain fills my senses. This... this is where I can be me. I unfurl my massive black with deep purple tipped wings and take off.
