[21] - Crop Top
Hmmmm this turned out longer than I thought it would be and it got closer to smut than I had expected, ooops?
The thin line between heavy making out and smut is blurrier than you'd think but I haven't crossed it yet!
Blessed Concept: Virgil in a crop top because of reasons and Logan being very distracted™ (crop top in picture above)
Btw, just me who just throw my dirty clothes on the floor until I am getting dressed for school and realize I have no clean pants like "fuck"
Trigger Warnings: none that I know of but it gets pretty close to smut?

"Oh no, Virgil I'm so sorry!" Patton exclaims, stumbling backwards in horror. Virgil looks down at himself, viewing the result. Patton had been talking and paying attention to Roman while walking through the kitchen and not seen Virgil coming in from the doorway. They had walked right into each other since Virgil had been looking at his phone and unfortunately Patton had had a glass full of soda in his hand. Its content was now all over Virgil, dripping from his clothes down onto the floor, making an orange soda puddle around the darker trait's feet.
"Don't worry, it was my fault too. This could've easily been avoided if I hadn't been looking at my phone." Virgil apologized, he didn't want Patton to feel bad over something that was the result of them both being careless. He touched his hoodie, it was going to get sticky when the soda started to dry so he would need to wash it. Same goes for his pants and his purple shirt. It was probably for the best anyways, he hadn't washed all of his dirty laundry in weeks so it was about time to load the washing machine.
Patton apologized again before telling Virgil to change his clothes while he dried up the spilt soda from the floor. He was already reaching for the paper towels when Virgil walked out of the kitchen and back to his room to find some less wet clothes to wear. When he closed the door behind himself he pulled his hoodie and shirt over his head and threw them on his, pretty large, pile of dirty clothes that he had on a chair beside his wardrobe.
Well, you couldn't really see much of the chair anymore, but it was somewhere under the mountain of clothes. Virgil didn't really want to admit that most of those clothes had been laying there for quite some time, he always did wear the same clothes. And he hadn't really expected to have to change his clothes anytime soon, he usually washed and dried them in the dryer late at night when he was the only one awake.
Now was the time when Virgil really regretted all the times he had been too lazy to wash more clothes than the ones he was currently taking off, because he had taken a quick look in his closet and realized that the only clothes that he actually had in there were the ones he never wore. And that was because the clothes were either too bright or showed too much skin. He also had a shirt with a big hole in it from when he had fallen down from a tree.
(Roman had dared him to climb to the top and the last thing Virgil wanted to do was let Roman win, so he did. The only problem was that he had stepped on a branch that was a bit too thin and it had broken under his foot, making him fall all the way to the ground. Another branch had ripped his shirt open, and also made him bleed, and after that he had never worn it again. Plus that the shirt was light gray so blood didn't want to easily be washed away from the fabric.)
Virgil groaned as he looked at his options. A pair of shorts, that's a no, he doesn't want to wear those. The shirt with the big hole he threw in his trashcan, he didn't know why he had even kept it. That left a white crop top with the words killin' it written on it and a pair of ripped black jeans. Both those items of clothings were ones that he hadn't ever worn before despite owning them for years. He found ripped jeans cool but he had thought about what the others might say about them so he had never had the guts to wear them. The crop top he had actually worn maybe once before though, but that was when he was alone in his room on a day when it was unbearably hot. The crop top he had never worn around the others for obvious reasons. It showed way too much skin for Virgil to feel confident in.
Virgil would have preferred hiding in his room for the rest of the day but he knew he couldn't. It was soon easter and he had promised Patton to help him and the others to decorate. Patton had loads of easter decorations for some reason, many of them relics from Thomas' childhood and he was really excited about it. He claimed it was a fun thing to do as a group. Why Patton felt the need to celebrate this, uh, holiday, they didn't know, but no one wanted to argue with Patton so they were doing this.
...So hiding in his room was ruled out, he had made promise after all. And after a few minutes of hesitation and consideration he did conclude that he'd rather be wearing the crop top and the ripped jeans than walk in there with only boxers and socks on.
Eventually (he spent a few minute staring at the clothes in dismay) he reached into the wardrobe and grabbed the crop top with a big sigh. Hopefully the others wouldn't laugh or tease him about it. Though Patton was probably going to complain over the waste of buying pants that already have holes in them. He pulled the shirt over his head, putting it on didn't really make him feel any less exposed but he supposed it was better than nothing. When he got his clothes on the first thing he did was grabbing as much of the pile of dirty clothes as he could hold in his arms and carry it down to the laundry room and loading the washing machine. He wanted to be able to change out of this ridiculous attire as soon as possible.
He then began to walk towards the mind scape's living room where the others were probably already busy unpacking ugly decorations that Thomas' made when he was in kindergarten. He could hear Patton and Roman giggle about something as he came closer to the room where they were all gathered. Virgil could imagine Logan rolling his eyes at whatever it was the other two sides found so humorous. He stops in the doorway, hesitating. Last chance to call it quits.
But then of course Logan finds whatever he was looking for in one of the boxes and turns around so that he is facing Virgil. It takes a second or two for Logan to look up and during that short amount of time Virgil had time to regret everything that he had done that had lead up to this moment.
Logan does a double take when he sees Virgil which makes him feel foolishly self-conscious. When the other two sides sees Logan staring they turn towards Virgil too and he is currently really regretting showing up. He hates it when people stared at him, it makes him uncomfortable. Usually he could pull his hood up and shield himself from other peoples eyes in his hoodie, but now all he could do was cross his arms over his stomach and look away while hoping that he didn't look too flustered.
"I literally had nothing else to wear, okay?" Virgil clarified, probably sounding sharper than he had meant to. He couldn't really control his voice when he was nervous. At least his voice hadn't sounded high pitched, he hates when that happens, it's really embarrassing.
"Oh don't worry kiddo, no one here is going to laugh at you. You look amazing!" Patton says, sounding sincere but also a bit sad. Probably because he hates it when Virgil is ashamed of himself or possibly because he wished that Virgil would trust the others more.
"Right?" He continues, giving Roman and Logan stern looks. Virgil could feel Logan's eyes on him and he was careful to not look directly at him. Eye contact would only make him feel more anxious than he already was. Roman nodded and proceeded to ask where Virgil had bought that because, as Roman put it, 'he would slay in a crop top'.
"Right." Logan replied, swallowing, but not taking his eyes off of Virgil.
"Logan, are you going to help?" Roman asks, nudging him slightly and gesturing towards the yet to be hung up decorations. He and Patton shares a knowing look of amusement.
"I'm sorry, I seem to find your presence more distracting than usual." Logan stated matter-of-factly, still with his eyes glued on Virgil. His pupils were blown wide, Virgil knew why that was. It was either because the room was dark or because Logan found him attractive. When he and the logical trait talked he always learned many new interesting facts, including said fact about the human eye. And the room was as bright as it could be since Patton had pulled up the blinds from every window, letting the sunshine from outside in, so it had to be the other alternative.
"Oh my god Logan, calm your gay." Roman laughs and Logan's face goes a bit red as he looks away from Virgil and down on the easter ornament he had held in his hand for the last three minutes. He clears his throat and proceeds to, with Roman's help, tie some colorful plastic eggs to the curtain rod. Virgil could see that Logan continued to glance at him now and then and the fact that Logan couldn't keep his eyes off him made him feel less uncomfortable, even though it did make him slightly nervous.
Logan didn't usually look at him with that level of fascination and heat in his eyes but Virgil was ...intrigued by it.

Logan wasn't completely sure why he couldn't seem to look away from Virgil, but judging from how he was feeling and his weird desire to touch the skin that Virgil was showing (it looked so soft) he guessed that what he was feeling was some sort of attraction. Funny, that wasn't something he'd expected himself to feel any time soon. He didn't mind though, it was an interesting experience and he'd love to explore it and learn more about these feelings.
He watched as Virgil reached for something that hung in the window (a Christmas ornament that they had somehow missed when they took all the Christmas decorations down) which made his crop top ride up, exposing even more skin. Logan sucked in a breath, looked away and focused on what he was doing, he shouldn't be so focused on Virgil. He should not have a problem with keeping his eyes away from the darker side. He had been aware of his feelings of affection towards Virgil for quite some time, but he could always control himself in front of him. Unlike now when Logan had to continually herd his thoughts away from thinking of Virgil and that he'd much rather be kissing him than decorating the living room.
Luckily the four of them got finished quite quickly with the decorating. Logan offered to help carrying the boxes back to the storage but Patton was quick to suggest that Roman would do so instead. Roman immediately agreed to that and they took all the boxes, basically running out of the room, leaving Logan alone with Virgil. Logan was sure that it was intentional. He had to admit that it would've been nicer if Patton and Roman hadn't known of Logan's attraction to Virgil. Then he could keep pretending he didn't have any feelings at all. But they had both made it clear that they were aware. And- ...fuck now Virgil was looking right at him and when did they get so close?
"I'm sorry if I'm making you uncomfortable." Logan said. If he, with is inability to stop looking at him, had made Virgil feel uncomfortable he'd stop immediately. But Virgil hadn't said anything about the staring so he had assumed that Virgil hadn't minded it. Now that seemed like a stupid thing to assume, after all he was the anxious trait and might not dare to speak up about the things that made him feel uneasy.
"Actually, you aren't. You're making me feel quite confide-"
"Can I kiss you?" Logan blurts out before Virgil can finish the sentence. Virgil looks at him with a surprised expression on his face, his mouth slightly agape. This was clearly not a question that Virgil had expected to be asked by Logan. He doubted that many would ask, other people could probably tell when the moment was right, he just asked while he had the courage. He also wanted to make sure to have Virgil's full consent before doing such a thing.
" Y- Yes." He stuttered, so Logan leaned in and did just that. Virgil responded positively to their lips connecting, he kissed back just as fiercely as Logan was kissing him, making an unknown feeling stir in his stomach. Kissing Virgil was just as pleasant as he had imagined it to be, and even more so. It felt like that feeling you get when you see a firework explode, but more powerful, more enchanting. He reluctantly pulled back to catch his breath, opening his eyes again and viewing Virgil who looked blissful.
Logan wasn't quite sure how Virgil had ended up pressed against the east wall, but he didn't seem to mind it, especially not when Logan leaned in and kissed him again, so that wasn't a problem. Logan's hands wandered from Virgil's sides to his back to his stomach, touching all of the exposed so soft skin. Virgil on the other hand, had his arms wrapped around Logan's neck and pulling him closer so that their bodies were pressed as close together as possible. Virgil shivered, probably unwillingly, at the logical sides gentle touches.
Logans hands now rested under the tank top on Virgil's chest, pushing him up against the wall while kissing his neck. He had Virgil's unsteady breaths right next to his ear and excuse him when he admits that that is really arousing. He has to push himself back from Virgil, his lips leaving the pale easy-to-mark skin before he loses all control.
"I'm going to need a cold shower." Logan said rather bluntly, making Virgil's lips curl into a seductive smirk. He yanks Logan's tie, pulling him so close that their lips are almost touching again.
"Or maybe I could help you." He mumbles before kissing Logan roughly. His knees almost buckles and he isn't sure if it's because of the kiss or the words, presumptively both. He is amazed over how forward and daring Virgil becomes when he's aroused, but soon realizes that he becomes braver then too. Even though Logan had had this special liking for Virgil for quite some time it was first now he did something about it.
And oh dear, Virgil's hands are really going places, but it only made Logan smile against the other sides lips. They should probably continue this somewhere else, is a thought that should pop into Logan's mind by now, but he's too overwhelmed by one of Virgil's hands on his ass and his tongue that is currently asking to enter his mouth. Sadly they were abruptly interrupted and brought back to reality by Roman when the other two sides got back though.
"Oh my dear Benedict Cumberbatch, what on earth are you two doing?!" He screeches and pushes a confused Patton out of the room before he has time to register the scene in front of him. (And what a scene that was, Logan would love to have a picture of it all whilst Roman is probably thinking of chugging a can of bleach.)
"Patton don't look, you're too innocent!" He yells before following him and exiting the room as fast as he can. Virgil lets out a breathy laugh and runs a hand through his hair.
"We- we should probably go to my room."
