Naruto started gasping for air as his vision started restoring, he saw Hinata passed out, so he crawled over to her and checked her pulse, relieved that she was still breathing.

"Naruto..." Sasuke coughed, "what the hell... What happened?"

"She's passed out, but she's still alive."

"No you idiot." Sasuke's voice was still weak as he walked past Naruto and Hinata, "THAT."

Naruto looked to where Sasuke was walking, and his face went pale. There, laying on the ground, was Hidan in a pool of blood, "where did... What?"

The door was broken down and in walked Obito and Itachi, "thank God, you guys are okay."

"Itachi, what did you do?!" Sasuke coughed, then he saw the gun in Itachi's hand, "did you just kill Hidan?!"

"I did what had to be done." The Uchiha shut his eyes, "Hidan's done things in his life. He's been doing this for years, and I told him, if he ever laid a finger on you..."

Sasuke stared at his brother for a few moments, then remembered, "Sakura. Is she okay? Where is she?"

"I didn't see her..." Obito glanced at Itachi, who shook his head as well.

"Damnit! Why didn't you guys get to her first?! She was--"

Just as Sasuke was about to head out, two bodies crashed through the wall of the warehouse and fell onto the ground. The two bodies were none other than Sasori and Deidara, now with broken bones, bruises, bleeding noses, and trembling limbs.

"You bitches! What makes you think I'm not strong enough to protect myself?!" Sakura stormed in without a scratch. She saw Sasuke's shocked face, but her angry tone didn't change, "you guys okay? I saw Hidan run in, but couldn't do anything to stop him, these two morons were in the way."

"Yeah, we're fine." Sasuke rose a brow.

"Good." She marched over to where they all stood around Hidan.

"Well, he's dead." Obito announced once he checked his pulse.

"Thank goodness..." Naruto sighed. Suddenly, they heard the wailing of sirens just outside the warehouse.

"We have the place surrounded! Attempt escape, and you will be shot on sight!"

The loud megaphone announcement shook the group as they stared at the dead body before them.

"Crap, Itachi what do we do?!" Obito was the first to start panicking.

"Itachi..." Sasuke looked at his brother, then at the gun that still sat in his hand, "you knew..."

He looked at his brother and smiled, "I know. But... You're all free now, aren't you? Don't worry about me. You've got a life to live."

Sasuke shook his head, "no, Itachi! That's not how it works! You can't..."

"It's okay..." Itachi shut his eyes as he placed his hand on Sasuke's head.

Sasuke just stared at his older brother as the cops started spilling in. Some of them went to check the dead body, others went to attend to Hinata's needs, others surrounded Itachi, who was a clear suspect as he still held the gun.

"But..." Sasuke just stared at him as the two cops walked up to him, took the gun from his hand, and cuffed his hands behind his back.

"Wait." Itachi stopped them, then lowered his voice to Sasuke, "there's something in my bag I left for you. You'll know it when you see it."

Sasuke nodded as Itachi just smiled reassuringly and walked off.

"So he's your..."

"Brother." Sasuke told another cop as he still watched Itachi before he vanished out the door.

"Was he the one who killed this man?"

"Uh..." Sasuke pursed his lips.

"I was."

He turned in horror as Naruto stepped forward.

The cop looked Naruto up and down, "you?"

"Yes. It's been my lifelong goal, was to kill this man. And now I finally hired Itachi Uchiha to do it. That gun is mine."

The cop looked from the gun he held to Sasuke, then back to Naruto, "we'll have to take you in for questioning as well."

"Wait! You can't do that!" Sakura interjected, "Hidan--"

"Sh, it's alright, Sakura. It'll be okay." Naruto smiled, then turned to Sasuke, "take care of both of them."

He only nodded as Naruto followed the cops out.

Sasuke and Sakura watched as some medics took Hidan's body away and some other medics treated Hinata. They couldn't help but notice some forensic scientists doing some investigation on the warehouse.

"That idiot..." Sakura muttered under her breath.

"Itachi... Why would he do that?"

Sakura smiled and gave his hand a squeeze, "he loves you more than you think."

He shut his eyes and smiled.

"Did you see what he got you?"

"Uh-huh..."

"And?"

"It was an envelope with my name on it."

Sasuke pulled it out, and when he handed it to Sakura, she gasped, "oh my gosh!"

"Yeah."

"What are you doing with this?!"

"Well, it depends. If Naruto really goes to jail... Or Itachi."

"No, that's not how he would've wanted you to use it."

Sasuke sighed, "yeah, you have a point."

"So what now? What are we going to do about Naruto if he ever DOES end up in jail?"

Sasuke shut his eyes and sighed, "I really don't know. Would this be enough? To get him and Itachi back?"

"I don't know..." Sakura glanced over at Hinata, "I'm worried about her... When she wakes to see Hidan's dead and Naruto's in jail."

"She'll be fine. She always is."
