"Welcome to my new vlog, everyone. What should I start with? My name is Hinata Hyuga, I am a senior at Lakepoint Konoha High, and my life is as boring af. Now something to talk about? My life? Well, it's just as ordinary as any other girl's. As of last month, I started dating Hidan, only one of the top jocks at school. It was all so weird and sudden, he came up to me and asked me out. Out of all the girls in our grade, it just had to be me. I guess that's the only abnormal thing in my life. Suddenly getting noticed by a jock." Hinata paused, "this is all way too stereotypical. I mean, we haven't completely congregated ourselves by class, but we have our own respective groups we remain in, somewhat like a clique. I broke that norm and I went from average to the girlfriend of a jock. It's all almost too good to be true. Does this sound like a movie intro to any of you?"

Hinata nodded in approval, releasing her first random vlog into the endless galaxy of videos on YouTube. She shut her laptop and headed down the stairs to find her brother, Neji Hyuga, standing in the kitchen, checking his phone.

"Good morning."

He looked up and smiled, "morning, Hinata."

"What time did you go to bed last night?"

"About two, two-thirty."

Hinata crossed her arms, "you stayed out all night again?"

"Well, I was working for our money, may I remind you." Neji cleared his throat, "but you need to head to school. It shouldn't be a big deal for me."

"You dropout..." Hinata rolled her eyes. But it was true. She kept telling herself that their parents were away from home and in the states, working the Hyuga Corporation from there. As they were earning money for the family there, Neji gave up his education to earn some extra pocket money for himself and Hinata.

"Okay, go to school." Neji called as she made her way out the front door.

It was just like any other ordinary school day. She didn't know what she was thinking, starting a YouTube channel. Her life is just as normal as anyone else's. There's no way she can get popular with a channel like that. That's when she reminded herself that this was more than an ordinary day. This was the first school day after Spring Break when others would see her and Hidan as a couple at school. She kept meeting him outside of school during break, but now her friend group has changed. That was her decision.

The school building came into view, and what caught her by surprise was that Hidan and his friend group were still standing outside the school as all the other students continued to enter the school.

"Look, it's Hinata." One of Hidan's friends changed the subject.

"Hey, Hinata!" Hidan turned around with a smile on his face. He gave her a hug as she went to join them.

"How are you?" Hinata smiled.

"Eh. I'm totally wasted, just from last weekend." Hidan chuckled, "I got drunk as fuck."

"Oh..." Hinata coughed at the very open language, "parties again?"

"Why? You got problems against parties?" Hidan's red-head friend questioned her rudely.

"N-no, it's just... I just don't want him getting hurt or in trouble. That's all." Hinata explained, rubbing her elbows nervously at the reactions.

"Aw, see? She cares too much about me." Hidan wrapped his arm around her shoulders, "she's mine."

"You really are the overprotective one, aren't you? Hm!" The blond sighed as he shook his head.

"Oh yeah." Hidan smirked, "let's go."

Hinata held Hidan's hand as they followed the group down the hall to their first period. Other students quickly swerved past them, avoiding any contact with the fearsome seniors.

"Okay, I'll see you later, Babe." Hidan released Hinata's hand and left with the rest of his friends.

Hinata nodded as she went through her locker and grabbed some books.

"So, where's your bodyguard?"

"Ahem..." Hinata cleared her throat, slammed the door of her locker shut, and swirled around to see the yellow-haired boy, "Naruto."

"Listen, Hinata, you haven't been returning any of our calls lately. What's going on?"

"It's nothing." Hinata crossed her arms rudely, turning to look away from his stunned face.

"Hinata, not only that, you've been keeping your distance. Why don't we hang out the way we used to--"

"Naruto, I'm always with Hidan, okay? If that sums up the answer to your question. I have new friends now." Hinata cut him off.

Naruto didn't even look for a chance to grab her back from Hidan's clutches. He only looked down at the floor, then grinned a fake smile, "well, that's okay. I'll be heading back now, you know? The class is starting, anyways. See ya." With that, he quickly hurried off.

Hinata stared as he ran off, noting the lack of comfort in his posture. But she could care less. It was him who got her to where she is today, and she knew there was no going back.

"Dang, Uzumaki..." Naruto yanked at his yellow hair as soon as he slid into a desk at his first-period class, "just go and screw things up. Just trying to help, you know."

"Dobe. Talking to yourself won't get you anywhere. Just makes you look like a complete idiot."

Naruto jumped in his seat, but let out a sigh when he recognized his raven-haired friend, "don't sneak up on me like that, Sasuke."

"Hn. Like I could care less." Sasuke Uchiha shut his eyes and smirked, "you went and talked to her yourself, didn't you?"

"I couldn't help myself..."

"I told you to wait for me. Your mouth can run wild and say things you don't realize you even say." Sasuke rolled his eyes.

"She's completely changed, Sasuke. Whatever could've happened to her?!" Naruto clenched his fists.

"Hidan happened to her." Sasuke sighed, "as long as she's happy, that's all we need to be concerned about."

"Yeah, you're right." Naruto nodded in agreement, desperately hoping and praying that Sasuke's right. The two turned to see their pink-haired friend walk in, "good morning, Sakura."

"Hey, you two feeling in the mood to party?" Sakura Haruno chuckled as she sat in the seat next to Naruto, "Kiba got a soccer scholarship to a really nice college and he's throwing a party for it."

"Oh yeah, I'm definitely going." Naruto grinned.

"I'm don't do parties." Sasuke coughed, avoiding eye contact, "count me out."

"Come on, Sasuke. We'll go as a group." Naruto invited his friend, but Sasuke stubbornly refused.

"It's fine." Sakura shrugged, "I mean, I can always go with Ino and Tenten... Maybe Hinata."

"Oh, Hinata's gone." Sasuke muttered, "she's with Hidan already. When it comes to parties, Hidan and them, they always go. So, of course, he's bringing Hinata."

"You might be too late, Naruto..." Sakura chuckled nervously.

"I know. But it all just happened so suddenly..."

"We told you to just let it go. Don't let it bother you." Sasuke sighed, "besides, there are more women out there."

Naruto sarcastically rolled his eyes, "Easy for you to say, Mr. Big-Shot. All the girls are chasing after you."

"Psh. Not that I like any of them, honestly." Sasuke shook his head, "you just need to move on."

"It's for the best." Sakura agreed, "won't do you any good to mope around any longer. Two months have passed. She's probably moved on from us, too."

"As much as I don't want to admit it..." Naruto sighed, finally submitting, "you both have a point."

"We'll go to that party as friends." Sakura nodded, "Sasuke can go with his girlfr--"

"Stop." Sasuke denied, "I already said, I don't do parties."

"She's going to make you go, after all, she's my cousin." Naruto snickered.

"You might be right..." Sasuke groaned dreadfully.

"It's okay." Sakura chuckled, "you'll make it through the night."

"Heh. I highly doubt that."

They had their laughs, but Naruto still had that knot in the pit of his stomach. He tried not to worry, but he couldn't forget her that easily. He refuses to.
