Chapter 6 The Secret Room
The goblin woke up with a bump on his head and a splitting headache. He was furious when he discovered what happened, for they had taken her away.
"Oh, no, what shall I ever do?"
"I must find some way to get her out of that tower."
He paced the floor and pressed his arm against the wall.
The wall flung open, and he found himself a funny passageway.
Odd, He had not noticed his before today, but he heard the door slam behind him, so he was trapped inside.
He walked towards a small lit area where he found himself in a secret room.
It was a small space with only a shelf, a small table, and another spinning wheel.
There was no straw here, and the only company appeared to be a mouse afraid of his presence. It hid under the table as soon as he saw his disfigured form.
"I knew it was too good to be true but had hoped there was a treasure in here or something."
He sat at the spinning wheel and frowned when he saw a piece of bread. He used the spinning wheel to make it into a shiny red thing.
What was this strange item?
He stared at it in surprise, for right before his eyes was a ruby.
He made more into rubies.
Now, to find a way to free a damsel in distress.
He felt around the room and bumped his fist against a side panel that swung open, and he found himself back inside the same dreary space as before, but this time, he had rubies inside his pockets.
He ran to the door and barely touched it. To his amazement, the door opened on its own.
Perhaps, it was a trap, but the mouse exited the place at the same time he did.
He fled on foot into the woods to a safe distance away, where he ate a few wild blueberries and drank some water from a stream.
He slept but woke up to the sound of noises which sounded like the king's men.
He ran and ran and ran until he could run no more.
He found himself outside a funny-shaped item.
He sent the mouse to expect the place.
He saw ivy grow outside the odd thing, so he climbed to the top.
Once inside, he heard a scream.
"Ah!"
"Ah!"
He looked around him and saw a familiar face.
"Fear not, for it is I, princess."
The girl stood forward and smirked. She was happy to see him.
"Leave it to you to come to rescue me."
She hugged the goblin. She gave the mouse some cheese.
She hides them both in the back half of the tower. She dared not risk anyone else finding out they were there. She was afraid of what might happen otherwise. She recalled how the guard had abused the goblin the last time. She shuddered at the cruel memory.
Soon, the girl fell asleep.
The story continues in Chapter 7 Mission Possible
