Viper Q/A 2

A/N: Before I get things rolling, I want to say sorry for taking FOREVER to upload this. I ended up getting  a lot more homework than anticipated the first week of school and also the late work I had to turn in after my trip to DC. I promise though, I still have been working on the next chapter and many other things for the book. And another thing, is any other writer here having difficulties copy and pasting things when writing a new part? I typed this whole thing up in Word and can't seem to get it to work... Like, I had to copy it all into my email, send it to myself, open it on my phone and go back through everything,  italicizing in bolding it all again... Anywhoo, thank you everyone who asked questions, and let's get things started!

Fanfic_obsessed - Steve are you jealous of Luc? You know since Jade is meeting him for coffee.

Steve: J-jealous... *clears throat* No, no not at all. Maybe concerned, but not... jealous.

Tony: Mmhhmm

Steve: What's that supposed to mean Metal Head?

Jade: Hey that's my nickname, Spangles.

Steve: Sorry, it just slipped out...

Jade: Good. And even if he were jealous, there's no need to be. He's Captain freaking America. He literally can have any girl he wants.

Steve: Not any girl...

Jade: Um, yeah any girl. Have you taken a look at yourself lately? That alone is enough, not to mention everything else about you. And there's not even a need to be concerned either. I'm a big girl, as well as an assassin, there's nothing to "be concerned" about.

Steve: But we don't know anythi-

Natasha: Oh shut up. Steve just tell her be safe, Jade be grateful and accept it. We've just started this thing and we're already babbling.

CisquezLily - Me: What's your real first name? I'm pretty sure you've never mentioned it before...

My name is Madeline (Mad-eh-lyn not Mad-eh-line). I actually have referred to myself as Maddie several times in author's notes. Sorry if that was never clear...

Me: Also what is it with all the P!nk song dance thingy-ma-bobs?

I'm actually really glad someone asked this. I am a very musically inclined person, always have been and Jade is too. She expresses herself through music, whether it's written by her or not. And that's also kinda how I work things out... I guess I'm trying to get certain messages across better with the songs. As to why they're P!nk, well she's awesome, they fit well with the story, and I recently rediscovered her. Literally I was on Spotify and realized I hadn't listened to her in forever, so I spent hours just listening to P!nk songs and in that time, I realized that "Hey, these would work well with the story."  So I included them. There will be more songs, some being actual songs, but I'm gonna make it so Jade wrote them. Basically I don't own any of the music used in the story, unless said otherwise.

AJDiAngelo - Jade: Have you ever been to a P!nk concert before? I remember last week Dean made Sam and I drop everything for a Bon Jovi concert. And can I just say you fucking owned Sharkisha. That happening to one of my friends. I still don't know how Peter got that drunk and could still stand straight.

Jade: Peter! What did you-

Peter: It wasn't me! It was someone else! I've been framed!

Bruce: I'm sure she's not talking about Peter Parker, another Peter.

Jade: Oh... Sorry Sticky Fingers... Um, yes I have been to a P!nk concert. It was amazing, she was doing this cool acrobat stuff with ribbons, and she basically flew over the crowd. Of course that was with wires though. Oh and for Bon Jovi, hell yeah I'd drop everything and run. It's pretty cool you know Dean and Sam too. You think you could maybe, pass them off to me? Just for a little while.

Steve: Oh yeah, those two need some sense knocked into them, and I'd be happy to do that.

Jade: Oh we're just in season 4. It gets so much better.

Steve: Why was that so sarcastic?

Peter: Because it doesn't get better.

Steve: ... Can we watch after this?

Jade: Of course.

Steve: How do you feel knowing Jade could potentially get back with Luc? I mean it's not like you have *cough feelings cough* for her is it? *smirks*

Steve: I think she should be careful. Who knows what he's been up to the past, what was it Jade?

Jade: Seven years.

Steve: Exactly, that's almost a decade and anything could have happened in that time. Just look at how Jade turned out.

Jade: Excuse me?

Steve: Uh, n-no, no I didn't mean it like that. I just mean that you didn't take the most desired path and he could have done the same...

Jade: I chose whichever path the hell I wanted. It's none of your business to tell me if it was right or wrong. Or if Luc has done anything similar. You don't even know him and here you go again with the assumptions and judgement about people you haven't even the slimmest amount of knowledge on. I thought you were better than that, but I guess I was wr-

Steve: I just want you to be safe. Pardon me for caring. If you don't want that, you shouldn't give the effect you do. You're not the only one in unknown territory here. You coming into not only my life, but all of ours has changed things and we've all had to adapt. But none of us are complaining because we care about you Jade. And my assumption is perfectly reasonable. I'm using previous knowledge to make an educated guess about this Luc guy.

Jade: I give off an... effect...?

Everyone: Yeah.

Jade: *startled* Uh... That was supposed to be in here... *points to head*

Everyone (but Bruce): *chuckles*

Peter: According to Jade, you looked scared. Are you afraid you could possibly lose your best friend and crush?

Jade: Crush?

Peter: *nervously* No, nope, no crush...

Jade: Uhm...

Tony: Come on Webhead *nudges with elbow* answer the question.

Peter: Uh, um well, you see... *clears throat* I-I'm just worried. I'm siding with Steve on this one. Jade we don't know what he's been up to and the way he lef-

Jade: *stands and pulls Peter by his shirt collar* You wanna keep that tongue?

Peter: *frantically nods*

Jade: Then leave that sentence unfinished. *Let's go of Peter and sits back down with a huff*

Everyone: *Exchanging glances and looking between Peter and Jade*

Peter: It's true though. I don't want you to be hurt again.

Jade: I'm not some helpless, scared teenager who doesn't know what to do anymore. It's not gonna happen again.

Peter: *sighs* ... Fine. I am scared, okay. I'm scared Jade is going to get caught up in herself and be blinded when Luc decides to do something stupid. I don't want to have to help her put herself back together. I will, if I need to, but I don't want it to come to that. I'm scared because Jade may become that helpless teenager in her dark cell again and not know how break free. Jade, I don't want to see you hurt. I... love you.

Tony and Clint: Ohhhhh

Steve: You what?

Jade: *confused, but pays no attention to everyone else* Peter I know all that. It's not the first time you've expressed that to me, and I promise. Nothing will happen. I'm not going back to that damned cell ever again. I'm not going to be blinded. And if Luc really is... different... Then I'll back away and coming running to the tower where all of you are. Okay?

Peter: *slightly sad* Fine.

Everyone else: Quit being assholes and let Jade take care of herlsef. Especially you Darcy. I know about 3, maybe 4, versions of you. Let Jade be Jade.

Everyone: *stunned and lost for words*

Thor: We were being... assholes? Jade is that true?

Jade: No, no! Not at all. I think maybe that's a bit extreme. But...

Clint: But.

Jade: I don't know. I feel out of oxygen, I guess. Everything has just been so... Constricting. And I'm grateful for all of you, but I can take care of myself. I don't need a god, gamma ray genius, super soldier, master assassins, the world's greatest tech savvy, or a masked spider guarding me 24/7.

Darcy: What about me?

Jade: Um...

Darcy: Was I really that terrible?

Jade: No! I just... I don't like shopping. I would love to spend time, with everyone, just not... At the mall.

Darcy: Jade I am so sorry! I never knew you weren't having a good time! I promise next week, we can go kill someone.

Jade: Woah! I-That's not what I do in my free time.

Darcy: Oh, damn... Um well you can teach me some self-defense tricks. Better?

Jade: Much.

Tony: What if... We like guarding you?

Jade: What?

Tony: I liked having someone, not evil and terrible, in custody for once. And, although I hate to say it, Grandma's right. You leave an impression on people.

Jade: Oh, look at that. The Tin Man does have a heart.

Tony: This is why I never open up to you people!

Jade: Oh it's okay McGee, we love you just the way you are. *forcefully pulls into hug*

Tony: We?

Jade: Did I say that? Uh, what we? We... Um, yeah... We love you Tony.

Tony: I think I see why we have these things now.

Me: Look at that! Not everything I do is terrible. Imagine that.

Peter: Woah, I physically felt the sarcasm and sass on that.

Me: It's a skill.

Jade: Oh, that's where I get it from.

Me: Indeed, now I do believe we have more questions?

Sarah? *Highway to Hell plays* AJ DiAngelo out. *disappears*

Tony: This chick's got good taste.

Dean: I couldn't agree more.

i-am-the-keeper - Steve: What would you give to cancel the date?

Steve: ... N-nothing. Jade should, g-go.

Jade: Do you have something in your throat or...?

Clint: Yeah I think its jealousy.

Steve: No, I'm not jealous. We've already established that.

Thor: Then why the stuttering?

Steve: I... It's just...

Jade: This is a judgement free zone, Grandma, go ahead and say what you want to say.

Tony: Well actually-

Jade: *flips Tony out of his chair* Go on Steve.

Steve: ... I'm fine with you going, I just want you to be safe. If that means staying at the tower and watching Supernatural, I see no other choice than you staying.

Natasha: So, you're not okay with her going?

Steve: Th-that's not what I said...

Bruce: That's kinda exactly what you said.

Steve: Well maybe I'm not okay with her going, but... Jade is free to do what she wants.

Tony: *stands back up and brushes dust off* Well I think Steve would give up how he really feels to make Jade stay.

Jade: Am I the only one lost here?

Peter: No I'm with ya.

Steve: W-what feelings? Last time we did this and I told Jade how I really feel, things didn't end so well.

Jade: What if I want to know how you really feel?

Steve: No, no I am not going down this road again. Next!

Tony: That's technically not a question.

Jade: Are we doing like a Supernatural thing. Ya know, my name is Dean Winchester, I'm an Aquarius, I enjoy sunsets, long walks on the beach and frisky women?

Peter: I don't see any other way.

Thor: And if we are in a committed relationship?

Bruce: It does say everyone...

Tony: I'll start! My name is Tony Stark, I'm a Leo, I also enjoy frisky women as well as alcoholic drinks and tinkering with my toys. I'll let you decide what toys I'm talking about.

Everyone: *slowly glances towards Tony questionably*

Clint: Okay... I'll go next... My name is Clint Barton, I'm a Sagittarius, I enjoy archery, dogs, and hard labor.

Natasha: Guess we're just going in a circle. My name is Natasha Romanoff, I'm a (CLASSIFIED), I enjoy (REDACTED), Vodka, (REDACTED), and (CLASSIFIED) (REDACTED)

Clint: Really?

Natasha: What? Not all of us want our covers to be blown.

Bruce: Okay, my turn. My name is Bruce Banner, I'm an Aquarius, and I enjoy science, reading and tea...

Thor: Ah my turn! I am Thor Odinson of Asgard, I'm an Aries, and I enjoy poptarts, conquering evil and raucous celebration with my comrades. 

Steve: So I guess it's me now. My name is Steve Rogers, I'm a Cancer, I enjoy-

Tony: Glorified frisbee practice, sucking the fun out of everything and patriotism.

Steve: *clenches righteous jaw*

Me: Tony give me back my laptop!

Steve: *clenches jaw and talks through gritted teeth* I enjoy contemporary fiction, Cinnabon, and working on my motorcycle.

Tony: *pulls out crude sock puppet that looks like Steve and mocks him*

Jade: Ooo my turn. *shoves Tony out window* My name is Jade Sawyer, I'm an Aries, I enjoy playing music, making sarcastic/sassy/witty comments, and kicking the occasional ass.

Peter: My name is Peter Parker, I'm a Leo, I enjoy photography, swinging off buildings, and sweaters.

Jade: Ooo I like sweaters too.

Steve: Oh, um... So do I.

Clint: *whisper shouts* I like being naked.

Natasha: *shoves Clint out window as well* Shall we continue?

Marvel_Mockingjays - Steve: Hhmm...... you know, I'm pretty sure if you acted subtly on your feelings for you know who (and I don't mean Voldemort) then she might reciprocate them. My question though is thoughts on Luc? You didn't sound like a happy chap when you heard about him.

Jade: You don't like Luc?

Steve: No, no it's not that. He just seems questionable to me. I mean, where has he been all this time? What has he been doing?

Jade: Oh well, please answer. What do you think of Luc?

Steve: Well, knowing that he helped you when you were with HYDRA makes me a little more comfortable with you going to see him. But, still it's been 7 years. Look at what you've done and then think about what he's done. You are the only one who knows him, Jade, so you tell me. Should I be okay with Luc?

Jade: ... Yes, very. He protected me, saved my life. If there were one person I'd trust my life with, it's him.

Steve: Okay then... *looks down at hands*

Peter: Same goes for you Spandex Spider, thoughts on Luc? And if maybe, I dunno, Steve, you and Luc had feelings for Jade... do you reckon I could have front row tickets to that fight? Because that would be pretty epic.  

Peter: Well I know a little more about Luc, and all I'm going to say is that Jade shouldn't go running right back to him.

Jade: What?

Peter: You know exactly what. He hurt you Jade, and I don't want that to happen. I trust you wholeheartedly with this, but I want you to be cautious.

Jade: ... I will Peter. I know you're weary of what could happen, but I promise, I'll be okay.

Peter: Thank you. Now to the other part of your question, not saying that I do have feelings for Jade, but I would totally win.

Steve: Not to be rude, son, but I've seen you fight. I'd take you in a minute.

Jade: Yeah, but neither of you have seen Luc fight.

Steve and Peter: And?

Jade: And he'd kick your asses.

Steve: I beg to differ.

Jade: *glares*

Steve: ... *gulps* Ma'am.

Peter: Jade, he may have had the special HYDRA training like you, but we do this every day. As a job. I think we'd be able to take Luc.

Jade: You literally just proved my point even more by saying he's had the same training as me.

Steve: Yeah, but you haven't beaten either of us. It's always been a draw.

Jade: Precisely. Luc is 5'11" and when I saw him, he looked pretty ripped. *looks off in distance dreamily*

Peter: Um well, I'm p-pretty r-ripped too. *flexes*

Steve: Um... It's getting a little hot in here, don't you think? *stands, takes off jacket and stretches*

Tony and Clint: *Walk back in*

Clint: Why is Steve trying to show off his abs?

Steve: *blushes*

Clint: I have those too. *lifts shirt*

Jade: I don't know what's going on, but I love it and don't want it to end.

Steve: *sits down* I was, just taking my jacket off...

Tony: Mhm. Hey, Jade, who do you think has the best abs?

Jade: Are we having an ab off? Oh my God, please tell me there's gonna be an ab off.

Thor: I'm sure my opponents are all admirable, but I do believe I would win. *lifts shirt*

Jade: That's it, Thor takes the cake guys.

Thor: *grins and sits back down*

Jade: I wonder what Luc's abs looks like...

Peter and Steve: WHAT?!

Jade: Oh... Did I say that aloud?

Peter and Steve: *nod frantically*

Jade: Oops... Well there's no denying it now. Hey, why don't we keep this thing moving, so I can find out sooner.

Peter and Steve: But-

Jade: NEXT!

Luc: Son, where the hell have you been? I ought to hug you and feed you the All American Boy and Webhead at the same time. Anyway, main question is, do you still have feelings for Jade? If so, man the fangirls are screwed. 

Luc: Sorry for being late, couldn't seem to find the place. Ah and as to where I've been these past few years, well a better question to ask is where I haven't been. I've been traveling the world, some for business, some as passing time.

Jade: Passing time? What the hell are you passing the time for?

Luc: Until I somehow managed to find you again.

Jade, Natasha, Darcy, Sue, and Jane: Awwwwww

Tony, Clint, Bruce, Thor, Ian, Erik, Johnny, Ben, and Reed: *silently gagging in background*

Peter: Oh please.

Steve: Did that just happen?

Jade: Yes, now quiet and let him finish.

Luc: For the second half of your question, love, I'd say my feelings for Jade never faltered. She was my first love and it's always been in my plan that she be my only. Unfortunately our time apart will need to be repaired and replaced. My hope is only that Jade feels the same way.

Jade: How's my favorite assassin?

Jade: Ya hear that Lill-

Don't tell Lillian I said that.

Jade: *sighs and leans back in chair*

Enjoy the shop? The nice walk around the mall? Running into the man you love(d) that you thought was dead for 7 years? What I am particularly curious about though is, who do you have feelings for? Like deep, deep, deep down where you refuse to go, who do you think you could see yourself with out of Luc, Rogers, and Parker? Oh, huge fan btw. I like how you sometimes unalive people.

Jade: Oh thank you. It was quite dandy. All the stress of the crowds, the annoying people who seems to forget how to walk, and not to mention my anxiety spiking when seeing Luc. Although, I will say, when I began talking to him, everything seemed to be at ease. So I guess, yeah actually pretty great. And who do I have feelings for? Well, I'm not... sure. You said it yourself, I refuse to go deep, deep, deep down where that answer most likely lies.

Tony: But if you had to.

Jade: You really like pushing people's buttons, don't you?

Tony: I can't resist.

Jade: Well, if I had to... I... I still don't know. My idea of love was screwed up a long time ago. Quite honestly, I don't think I even want to put that burden on Luc. I know I said he's the only one who really knows what I went through, but that's wrong. What I went through is so much more than just being and assassin for HYDRA. I was tortured, along with my attitude towards people in general. Everyone seems to think that I'd be good with Peter, or Steve, hell even a handful with Luc, but I don't think I could muster the feelings for any of them. Not without feeling as if I were only hurting them by being in a relationship with them.

Thor: Jade, what will it take to make you realize how wrong you are?

Natasha: Thor's right. You are, albeit different, an amazing person. Anyone, not just Luc, Peter or Steve, should be grateful to have you in their life.

Jade: What will it take all of you to realize that no matter what you say, the destruction of myself and those around me would only get worse if romance was added in to it.

Steve: How do you know that?

Jade: What?

Peter: He's right. You've only been in one relationship, if that, Jade. You don't know what it's like to have someone, outside of an assassin partner.

Jade: Because. If I can't keep friends around me, then what makes you think that I'll be able to handle a relationship?

Bruce: Because you're Jade Sawyer. You don't even need to think when executing a plan. You don't blink when doing something most would find difficult. It's all the same as maintaining a relationship. Maybe not today, or tomorrow, but one day... you'll realize that.

Jade: ... I didn't know that's what you all thought.

Steve: You showed us that Jade.

Jade: I didn't do anything. Knowledge like that was always in your head. You just needed the... change to show it to you.

Peter: Well you sure were that change. Probably the only one I've liked in years.

Jade: Okay, maybe I can do this... I don't know out of those three who I can see myself ending up with, I can't even see what I'm going to have for dinner tonight, but... Who knows... Luc has been there for me forever, he's always been my rock. Then I didn't need one, and when I did Peter was there. And through the new portion of my life, Steve has seemingly been there the entire journey, making sure I'm okay. So, yeah... I don't know.

YeliahRosie - Question for Peter: How do you feel about Jade and Luc meeting again? I think we're ALL aware (besides Jade) that you have feelings for her.

Peter: W-what? I have no idea what you're talking about...

Tony: Oh come on Webhead, it won't hurt anything.

Peter: ... Well... Like I said before... Jade told me what Luc did. How he left her, did his "work" and what he was like. I just don't want her to feel that pain she showed me when she was telling me... Jade seems happy though. Confident. So, I'm hoping, everything will go well...

Jade: Oh Peter! *hugs*

Peter: It's only the truth.

Jade: I know, but now a days it's so hard to find the honest truth from someone...

Me: Very true, very insightful Jade. Now I believe that is all the time we have.  Thank you and I'll see you all next time.
