Rainstar yowled, "DawnClan! We have to call out the murderer. It has taken three loyal Clanmates: Whitekit, Clearwish, and Fernheart!"

Lavenderkit was never close to Fernheart, but he still mourned the death of a clanmate. Dustyspots gazed at his kit longingly but looked away and sighed. He wasn't feeling himself today.Beepaw was full of terrible, heart-breaking, grief. She'd been in camp, talking to Silentsong, when her mentor's body had been brung into camp. "Why did it have to be you, Fearnheart?" She sputtered out to the body of her dead mentor. "You were always there for me, and i'll make sure to train hard for you," she said solemnly "I'll become the best warrior I can be, and I will kill that wretched murderer if it's the last thing I do," she said the last part with piercing, ice-cold venom in her deep blue eyes.
Creamfrost shook her head. Fortunate she was to survive this night, and even more so that she didn't have any mates or kits. However, she worried for herself and most especially her apprentice, Emeraldpaw; another night without much evidence, another night of vulnerability for them both, another night of putting her clanmates at stake as well.
Crescentkit pressed against his mother in horror. "When will this murder stop?" he asked quietly. His mother's only reply was a sad sigh. She wrapped her tail protectively around her son. "I don't know, dear." Sealswirl narrowed his eyes at the casualty. "Maybe the killer's scent is on the body," he murmured, then sniffed the body. But no, the killer had been smart and probably rolled in dirt to mask their scent. Sealswirl's ears burned with frustration.
Aspenpaw whimpered in fear. "Another cat dead?" She shook her head in disbelief.
Blazestripe sighed. "Still nothing. Nothing has been done. For Starclan's sake,when are we gonna do something!?" Starlingfeather nodded in agreement. "I'm starting to wonder if we will ever actually stop the killer or not."
All of the cats yowled, "skip!"
