Day 1 Voting Results

A shriek sounded. A huge hole was in the middle of the camp; inside it was a cold body. Frogfrost. Dawnstar gasped.

Dappleleaf frowned. A mafia? They'd need to get rid of them as soon as possible.

Owlmoon was pacing back and forth.

Badgerpelt was agitated that there was another mafia. He had no clues and wondered what his brother, Dovesplash, thought.

Fernpaw was highly paranoid, looking over her shoulders every few minutes.

Dappleleaf sighed. There hasn't been a mafia for a long time. Why is there one now?

"Um..." Fernpaw tried to speak up. "At least we know whoever killed Frogfrost was a she-cat!"

Dappleleaf nodded her agreement.

Owlmoon was still anxiously pacing.

Hazelthroat narrowed his eyes, crouching down beside Lightningpaw. The apprentice was his adoptive kit, he wasn't going to let this... Mafia hurt her. Lightningpaw curled into a loaf position beside Hazelthroat, sparing glanced up at the tom with wide eyes.

Sparrowmoon was... conflicted. Who exactly would just... kill one of their own? It seemed impossible before, but now she realized it was way more likely.

Mintpath tilted his head, surveying his Clanmates. The tom was quite surprised, he would admit... However, he chose not to let it show. Weakness, it should be. He assumed the mafia would love their evident weaknesses being shown based upon stature and expression. So he simply flicked an ear back.

Fleetnose huffed, scuffing the ground with a paw in nervousness. Why was this happening? It ... This wasn't supposed to be happening, right?

Rainleaf sighed deeply. Despite the partially deaf she-cat not being able to hear as well as the others, she knew what was going on now. A murder.

Sedgetalon had her eyes narrowed, and a hostile expression on her face. The elder hose to not take any chances of perhaps becoming a new target.

"Owlmoon." Badgerpelt glared at her. "You're suspiciously anxious."

Owlmoon stopped pacing and snorted. "Of course I'm anxious! Who knows who this mafia will go after next?"

"Hmm..." Badgerpelt continued to stare at her. "Well, it's not me, because I'm not a she-cat."

Ferrtbloom sat in the shadows grieving the loss of her dead brother. Why did it have to be him?

Frozensnake sighed. The stories passed down by elders about some vicious cat by the name of Maplevine had always intrigued him and his brother, but now he saw what it was like. What the mafia could do. What they'd done to his brother...

Fallowpaw watched Frozensnake intently. She was not going to take her eyes off him until she knew nothing would happen. She would not let the murderer get her father as well as her uncle...

"I'm not saying it's you," Owlmoon sat down, still facing Badgerpelt.

Dawnshine shivered. Because she was a she-cat, she was on the list. But she never imagined something so bad.

Dawnstar stared into the distance. She had lived through the killings. Maplevine had been executed. But another mafia? She couldn't imagine... Frogfrost was such a noble warrior...

"I think the Mafia is someone we least suspect," Badgerpelt said confidently. "But for now, I'll skip." He continued to eye his list of suspects.

Dawnshine padded over to Sparrowmoon. She told the elder softly, "We all feel like this. We all are having feelings."

Dappleleaf stared at the ground. So all of the toms were safe. She was not.

Fernpaw didn't know what to say. It felt like everything that comes out of her mouth would make her sound guilty. "It's not me..." She muttered.

Sparrowmoon looked up to Dawnshine with a soft sigh. "But who... Why would some cat even do this? It isn't right." She forced herself to speak weakly.

Owlmoon nodded, still talking to Badgerpelt. "I'm skipping, too. We can't get rid of someone so early. We have no evidence against anyone."

"I have seen lots of cats develop opinions. Conflicts happen, but I have never seen one grow so serious. StarClan, please let us live through this." She tilted her muzzle to the sky.

Fernpaw nodded, padding closer to Owlmoon. "All we know is the killer's gender. It's irrational to vote. I'm skipping too."

Sparrowmoon looked to the ground with a deep sigh. "Only StarClan can help us now..." She mumbled.

Owlmoon frowned, turning to Badgerpelt. "You said it's someone we'd least expect. What if it was a medicine cat? Or an elder?" She knew it sounded mouse-brained, but still.

"If StarClan to threaten the killer away!" Dawnshine sighed.

Hazelthroat still had narrowed eyes, a firm voice, finally speaking out one word. "Skip." He nudged Lightningpaw, and in turn, her booming voice said she would skip as well.

The shrill vice of Sparrowmoon spoke out, and she muttered a small, "skip," due to the lack of evidence.

Mintpath's cold voice spoke with his calm expression, and he skipped as well.

"Or it's someone we thinks is innocent!" Badgerpelt meowed. "But let's not jump to conclusions."

"If only they did..." Sparrowmoon mumbled as she sat down with a small sigh, still looking at the ground.

Owlmoon nodded her gaze wide and alert, nodding her head vigorously at Badgerpelt.

Dappleleaf said that she would also skip voting.

Dawnshine sat by Sparrowmoon, shadowed in disbelief and sadness.

Owlmoon went back to pacing.

Badgerpelt shook his head. "There's no time to be sad. We have to get ready for the next attack," he meowed at Dawnshine and Sparrowmoon.

Sparrowmoon glanced toward Dawnshine again, and she smiled softly. She curled into a loaf position.

Dawnshine nodded at Badgerpelt, then looked down at her paws.

Starlingfeather hissed. "Aw, badger droppings, here we go again. I'm not going to vote for now." Blazestripe nodded in agreement. "No vote for me. Why... Just... Why...? Didn't we learn put lessons last time?" Flowerpaw looked upset. "...Skip..." She murmured, unsure of what to do.

Springflower just held her head in her paws. She really didn't know what to say. StarClan! She didn't even know the cat that died. But it seemed clear enough most were saying skip so... "I'm skipping!" Springflower stated.

Gingerblaze was shaking in the corner of the camp. "No, no, no, no, no!" He whispered in terror. The last time, something like this had happened. It had claimed his mother, sister, and so many of his Clanmates. He didn't care about the others. The only deaths he really cared about were Blazingblossom and Tendrilpaw, the first one to go was his mother, who was falsely accused, he guiltily admitted to himself that he and his sister did have some part of it, but things wouldn't;t have changed even if they didn't vote for her. So it wasn't really their fault, right? Then there was Tendrilpaw, his sister. She was killed by Maplevine! Maplevine's exile got too loud and the murderous she-cat got scared. Gingerblaze shivered, deciding not to vote.

Smokespine stood near Frogfrost's body. They had a slight and hopefully unnoticeable look of amusement on their face. Smokespine thought that the cats were over-reacting. After all, it wasn't their leader or deputy who was killed and the body wasn't ripped up too bad, they had seen worse, some of the worst caused by their own claws.  Smokespine then said with a mournful expression and tone, "He was a good warrior. He'll be missed by us all, hopefully, we will catch the traitor soon, but until there is more evidence I will have to skip."

Axoltlheart stared mournfully. It was a shame Frogfrost had to die so young. "Skip," she said in a voice edged with sadness and age.

Maplerain scanned the camp looking for any cats that seemed in the least bit suspicious. Smokespine seemed a bit too calm in this situation, but he wasn't a she-cat, so that cleared him as a suspect. Fallenpaw was watching the body too carefully. Was she afraid that some cat would find evidence of her on the body? There wasn't enough evidence to say for sure, so for now, he had to skip. "There's not enough evidence, skip."

Sparrowmoon sighed. "There are thirty she-cats in total- This will be hard."

Dawnstar looked at the piles of stones. The skip pile was piled up high. "We are skipping today." The sunlight reflected on her eyes, which were grave and solemn.
