I lied awake in Damon’s arms still stuck in my thoughts.

I haven’t been able to get yesterday out of my head, all the harsh words I said to Violet. I felt guild, she had all the right to be angry at me I really shouldn’t have tried to mess with her life like that and do what I thought was best.

‘you were only trying to help sweetheart, besides you have blocked all your feelings and thoughts about it for too long it was bound to happen.’ My wolf spoke trying to sooth me.

My eyes narrowed at the ceiling ‘Isn’t her wolf angry at you for not trying to stop me?’

She chuckled not so heartedly ‘yeah but she can’t blame me. I’m sure her human has been battling her past and feelings that are starting to surface but she selfishly remains unaware of others feelings, those who care for her. She doesn’t sense the effect she has to people around her’ my wolf sighed sadly.

‘She has been through so much though, it must be hard to let anyone in and rid of the past feelings she had before-‘ I paused ‘she’s given up on herself and tries to keep on going though it’s all for the wrong reasons.’

‘From what all four of us are guilty’ my wolf mumbled. I felt confused ‘all four of us?’

‘Yeah, my sister isn’t really helping yours in her case. At least she doesn’t really realize it, she always lacked sympathy and understanding of others.’ My wolf sighed.

‘Violet’s her own human she’s supposed to understand her.’ I muttered confused.

‘You haven’t really met her wolf. Besides both may look like their own the same page but there both on different ones, they don’t have a connection like we do’ my wolf stated seriously. I know I haven’t really communicate with Violet’s wolf considering she barely takes over and it’s pretty much always disastrous when she does, especially when they’re in sync. Yeah was scarred for the first time in my life when I witnessed them in sync, but what does she mean by connection?

‘Every wolf has a connection with their humans in order to understand and sympathize, they’re not just ‘there’. We live centuries after centuries different humans different lives we need to become one with them to understand their live and emotions.’ My wolf explained while I nodded with some understanding.

‘Do we have this connection?’ I asked afraid of the answer.

‘Of course’ She chuckled ‘my sister and Violet though is another story’ She said with all seriousness.

‘I can’t really remember anything from my past centuries but I get a feeling that my sister never really had this bond with her previous humans either and it’s connected to something big that’s been happening throughout the centuries’ She whispered thoughtfully and before I could question her on it she disappeared.

I was startled awake by the sound of an engine before it faded away. Still sleepy I was about to go back to sleep before I snapped awake. “Violet!” Damon groaned and stirred under me.

“What?” He mumbled sleepily.

I wrenched out of his grip getting dress. “There is only one thing I know that makes that sound” I grumbled before he too snapped awake getting dressed with me.

Running into the garage I sighed by what I saw or what was missing. Violet’s motorcycle is gone.

I felt sadness and guild sinking in. She left.

“It’s alright she’ll be back in a few days like she always does” Damon spoke giving me a kiss on my forehead sensing my distress.

“But with all I said… I’m her twin sister for god sakes I’m supposed to help her and be by her side”
 I sniffed trying to hold my tears back.

She could disappear off the globe if she wants and no one would find her.

“Hey hey” Damon spoke softly holding my face gently in his palms. “She’ll be back, she has a pack to take care of remember and a duty towards the supernatural world. She’ll be back” He reassured me. I took a deep breath and felt a smile come to my lips as he gave me a peck on the lips pleasurable sparks running through me.

“Now come on” He snaked his arm around me. “Where are we going?” I asked him as he began to lead me somewhere.

“To the one person who might know where Violet is”

“I told you I don’t know where she is, just that she will be back after 2 days” Derek said irritation clear in his tone as he repeated himself.

I sighed bringing back Damon who looked like he was about to jump him. “Don’t I felt his emotion, he’s telling the truth.” It’s hard to figure out if one is telling the truth by just their emotions but I make it work. Though sometimes I wish I had Violet’s ability to read minds.

Damon growled before stalking away along with Derek who dragged Maya away.

I sighed leaning against the tree watching the packs interact. Violet being gone so suddenly brought confusion to the Tritan pack but it also meant no training. I’m not in any mood to oversee it and neither is my wolf.

Besides it gives them an opportunity to create a stronger bond with the vampires were housing, hope fully Paige is somewhere else.

“Heard Violet went on another adventure” I jumped at the voice as the wind shifted.

“Grant” I sighed in relief clutching my chest as my heart calmed. “You scared me” I frowned.

“Would you like me to kiss that fear away” He smirked while I just gaped at him. I know Violet said Grant was a womanizer but she never said to what extent. I witnessed him flirt like no tomorrow with other woman but was never on the receiving side.

I haven’t been flirted with since Damon, that and he’s so blunt.

He sighed before sitting next to me making me scoot away a little. “Calm down princess I’m not looking for a death wish” He chuckled.

“I’m just bummed Violet didn’t take me with her.” He sighed “We could have had a lot of fun” I swear I heard a growl after that statement and from his smirk he did too.

“Mine” Trent growled stalking towards us. I really don’t feel like stopping a fight today, how does Violet deal with this?

I concentrated on him as he got closer and took his and his wolfs anger changing it to happiness. It was the only thing I could think of.

I watched as his eyes returned to normal before a wide smile made way to his face before he skipped away towards a couple of kids playing. Ok that was a little creepy.

I turned to see Grant look at him in disbelief and amusement. “I take it that was you’re doing than” I just shrugged. “I didn’t want a fight on my hands”

Grant chuckled shaking his head “You are really different from your sister.” I don’t know why but it struck a chord.

Different childhoods, emotions, and different views towards life total opposites.

“Yeah” I agreed quietly.

He looked towards me before looking back into the forest almost like he was looking out for something before turning back towards me.

“Violet would kill me for telling you this but she loves you, just….doesn’t know how to show it.” He whispered before getting up and disappearing in thin air.

I stared where he once was in confusion before pondering over his words. So she doesn’t hate me or the fact that I had an easier like than she ever had?

‘If you ask me she’s protective of you. Want’s to protect you from the dark spaces of the world not wanting you to go through what she did’ my wolf spoke quietly.

‘That’s what my sister told me she thought of you before when I asked her about Violet’ my wolf said curtly before shutting me out but I could feel her guild for her earlier words.

I looked forward to see Stephen making his way over here with a smile. Smiling back at him I mentioned him next to me.

I just don’t get why Violet doesn’t like him….. Oh right light witch and Damon is just being a typical possessive mate and Derek… I blame Violet. I still don’t get why Violet says he shouldn’t be trusted and it seems that it goes deeper than his origin or such.

“You’re sister is a hand full” Stephen chuckled as he sat by me.

“I guess” I chuckled with him before he became serious. “I sometimes worry if she’s going to rip my head off when I just say hi, she’s unpredictable like that.” I frowned a little at that.

“She’ll get used to you she’s just stubborn and has a paranoid thought that you shouldn’t be trusted.” I rolled my eyes at the last part.

“It’s not like you’re plotting anything against us” I chuckled amused by the thought.

“She’s right thought you really should be careful of who you trust” I heard a tone I couldn’t identify at the statement but just shrugged it off.

“Maybe so but she hates light witches and pretty much thinks they’re all plotting against her, pretty much everyone actually but that’s her fault for making so many enemies” I joked with a hint of seriousness. She really should stop making enemies.

“Yeah I guess, we really should look out for her though she’s very unpredictable and given her nature she could be doing many things she shouldn’t” With that he left living me confused.

Odd. Shrugging I went back to relaxing.

Hopefully Violet returns before any attacks are made.

“What the hell are you going on about mutt?!” I heard someone hiss out before an all familiar voice came.

“Well looks like your brain is as small as your value to the supernatural world.” I instantly groaned feeling my wolf surface with hatred growling as I got up.

I heard a couple of hisses and a couple of growls. “I don’t see why we’re taking this mockery from one of the lowest mutt here” I heard Grant speak amusement clear in his house.

I heard an over exaggerated gasp. “If anyone would be the lowest of the low it would be you. I am meant to be Luna of this pack” I heard her voice rising hurting my ears as I got closer.

“Yeah that’s why the alpha used you and threw you away” I heard a female speak.

I emerged just in time as the she wolf launched at the female vampire who spoke.

“That’s enough Paige!” I growled out as my wolf surfaced in anger.
