“Aren’t you optimistic” Grant raised an eyebrow while I rolled my eyes.

“Uh-huh, I see the daylight ring is working out for you” I said sweetly but I’m pretty sure he got the threat.

‘Behave unless you want to become a pile of ash.’

“It was made by the best after all” He smiled his fangs gone as he got the message. Yeah I made the ring, it was the only way to get a certain annoying vampire off my back.

“Don’t try flattery why are you here?” I narrowed my eyes at him while he just gave me an innocent look.

“Can’t I come see an old friend” Not if half of it is for a favor and the other half for trouble.

Catching my look he sighed. “Ok ok”

“This is the vampire you told me about?” Alayna came up next to me staring at the Grant.

“Yeah-“

“I thought vampires were extinct” Trent cut me off. I grinded my teeth in annoyance, he should know he’s not my favorite person right now.

“That’s what we all wanted you to think, our numbers are still small so were still in hiding” He shrugged.

Murmurs ran out through the crowd making me roll my eyes.

“Alright everyone go have fun at the beach watch the blood and ash on the sand” I announced. Apparently I can’t say bodies since their pretty much ash right now.

“I’m staying” Trent stated making me narrow my eyes at him “I’m an alpha I deserve to know” He explained while I just grumbled under my breath.

‘Do you think he will still be an alpha in hell?’ My wolf asked thoughtfully. That’s a good question, maybe we can-

“Can we go somewhere shady, daylight ring or not the sun still irritates me.” Grant groaned while I just smirked.

“Nah were good” I spoke before anyone moved. Grant glared at me before sighing. “Please” He said through clenched teeth, he looks like he could puke right now. Yeah he’s not such polite touchy feeling person which is why it surprised me when he said that one word.

‘This must be very serious’ my wolf stated while I just nodded absentmindedly.

“Okay let’s go.” I said breathlessly and headed towards the coconut trees on this beach.

“Of course, the coconut trees” Ashly muttered while I turned towards her. “What’s that supposed to mean?” I said defensively, maybe too defensively.

“Oh sweetheart we all know you’re a sucker for coconut” Grant smirked making me glare at him. “What do you know we haven’t seen each other for years.” I said smugly.

“And I’ve lived with you for years to know you have a weird obsession with whatever has to do with coconut” Derek smirked while I switched my glare towards him.

“Coconuts?” Trent asked confused while everyone else tried to hide their laughter.

“Yeah coconut is one of Violet’s obsession. You can never have something that has to do with coconuts near her, whether the smell or the water. It’s probably the one thing that would stop her from killing someone even if she had a knife an inch from their throat.” Alayna chuckled.

“Except for the one time she almost killed someone because of coconuts” Ashly burst out laughing. “Poor guy, I don’t think he will go near anything that has to do with it again”

“I do remember her having some weird obsession with coconut water when we were little” Luke said thoughtfully.

“And roses, don’t forget the Scarlett roses” I froze a little at that as Alayna stated this.

“Scarlett roses?” Luke asked looking from me to her.

“Can we not talk about my obsession, if you want to talk about them how about killing and torturing” I chuckled but I think they can sense the underlying threat in my words.

“Will you stop throwing out threats so we can get on with this?” Alayna said annoyed.

“Yeah yeah I huffed leaning against one of the various trees. I have to admit I’m thinking of climbing one for a coconut right now.

‘Ah temptation’ my wolf snickered.

‘Shut up’

“So why are you here Grant?” I turned towards the vampire beside me.

“Well I missed you-“I snorted at that. He misses any woman that’s hot.

‘Conceited much’ my wolf laughed.

‘Learned from the best’ I sated sweetly making her stop.

‘Bitch’ she muttered.

‘Oh sweetie I’m not the wolf here’ I stated before blocking her out, this will turn into a full blown argument if I don’t.

“Well, I’ve heard about the disturbance within the supernatural world with the increase of demons” Doesn’t surprise me, their way more active than ever.

“But I’m afraid it’s worse than anyone else knows” That got my attention as my head snapped towards him along with anyone else’s.

“What do you mean” I asked cautiously.

“The humans are getting suspicious. With all the demons roaming around many are going missing and killed.” My eyes widened in realization.

I never even thought about that. Demons eat the flesh and souls of others, before there were only a few rare ones roaming but now there are many more. Many people are in danger, human or no human.

“That’s not all.” Grant spoke silently dread began to grow at what was coming next.

“The vampires are coming out of hiding.” His next words made me pale. “Their planning an uprising”

There may not be many vampires in the world but enough to cause trouble. Us supernatural take over half this earth 1/3 of them are vampires. It’s a small number within the supernatural community and a rare one, but them against human no matter of their current numbers, they can win.

Vampires are dark cunning creatures that have lived for as long as only they know and since there hasn’t been a new vampire for centuries the ones alive now are however old, smarter and experienced.

“Please tell me not against the humans” I whispered. His will be a bigger bloodbath then it already is for both worlds.

“No worst, most are working with the demons.” He said gravely. I never thought I could be so white.

“What’s the big deal anyway vampires are pretty much extinct.” I heard someone snort, when did Paige get here.

Who cares thought, No big deal?

No big deal! It’s a huge deal. Oh mother you hate me.

This is way worse than any of us thought. Vampires and demons are similar creatures.

Demons eat flesh and souls, vampires drink blood, vampires are fast, demons are strong, they’re both smart, cunning, shady, barely caring creatures and worst of all they both have special abilities some have more than one and rare ones than others.

Do you see where I’m going with this?

Demons+ vampires= Ultimate disaster

“Violet” I heard someone call out but I just ignored them.

What the heck is their motive?

“Violet”

What could they both possibly gain from this?

“Violet for god sakes stop pacing you’re making me dizzy” Someone yelled making me jump a little. I didn’t even notice I was pacing.

“By your unconscious pacing and an actual emotion showing on your face which is worry I would come to the conclusion that this is bad” Derek stated making me grumble.

That is an understatement this is worst.

I’m going to have to stay with this blasted pack longer!

And Trent. Ugh life hates me, my mother hates me, fate hates me.

‘Fates a bastard karma’s a bitch’ my wolf sighed.

‘Yeah so is our father and mother.’

‘You know they can’t really interfere with anything that happens on earth. It’s ours along with Alayna’s job’ she sighed.

‘But it’s not fair’ I whined making my wolf chuckle.

‘Life isn’t fair sweetie you just got to make the best of it’ she said earnestly before we both gagged.

‘We are never doing this sentimental crap again’ I shivered a little.

‘Agreed. See yah psychopath’ she chuckled before retreating into my mind.

I rolled my eyes and looked back to see everyone looking at me. “What?”

Paige snickered but we all ignored her.

“I was saying that I came here with some other vampires that don’t approve the alliance between vampires and demons and with no safe place to stay…” He trailed off while I sighed.

“You came to me” I finished for him while he nodded.

I gave him a look and he began to ramble “You have to understand it’s no longer safe for us out there anymore, not even with our own species.” He sighed “You’re our best chance” He spoke quietly. “Please?”

For the second time today, damn he’s on fire.

“Alright but as long as I meet and question them myself before they set a foot in this territory.” A smile smiled lit up his face before he gave me a side hug.

“Thanks” He gave me a kiss on the cheek earning a growl from Trent. Prick.

“There’s something I don’t get though” I thought out loud.

“What is it?” Grant let me go.

“Why are the vampires siding with the demons?” I asked and saw Grant tense.

“Their tired of hiding” He answered silently after a while. “We all are” He sighed running his hand through his hair.

“But most think that they should get revenge on the supernatural world for turning their backs on them centuries ago when their numbers began dwindling, they want to be on top.” He gritted his teeth obviously thinking of the poor morals they’ve developed.

Grant may be an asswipe. Ignore my wolf snickering at the back of my head. But he still has morals. Believe it or not he’s one of the most loyal person I know. I know shocker.

At least he’s not as uptight as some other 2000 year old vampire I’ve met, he actually assimilates to the different centuries.

“Huh, bet you’re happy to finally be a leader huh?” I chuckled softly as he put a hand over my shoulders. “I guess.”

Grant always wanted a coven of his own, for his kind to actually come together and try to figure things out.

Too bad he’s a womanizer.

“So want to go kiss under water” He asked blankly earning him a growl.

Rolling my eyes I pushed him away. “Shut up you blood sucker.”

“Bitch”

“Only half” I winked.
