Violet

“You know I don’t appreciate you stalking my sister” Alayna spoke raising an eyebrow.

 “Why jealous?” the demon smirked making Damon growl and wrap his arms around her protectively.

 “No its plain creepy you tried to watch her take a shower!” Alayna shouted glaring at him.

 “So that force field wasn’t by chance” The demon muttered as some of the other demons snickered.

 It’s true, I’ve been feeling him around for the past month since I saw him, he’s ability must have been to blend into anything since he blended into the shadows and anywhere else blocking he’s scent. He’s ability explains how I didn’t smell them earlier.

 “Dude before you die I’ll give you some advice, stalking is one thing stalking them and trying watching them shower is way beyond creepy” Derek scowled planning many ways to kill him. I must say I approve of the long painful ones.

 “Perv” one of the female demons muttered making more demons snickered.

 “I know right and for that you get to live longer” I spoke making her snarl at me. “Unless you get in an unfortunate accident” I smirked as my shadows sneaked behind her grabbing her making her scream before tearing her apart. The other demons jumped out of the way as more shadows came. Not a good idea to stand near the dark side of the clearing.

 Alayna bended the light grabbing two more demons making them scream in contact from her purifying light. Or the light side, in other words they shouldn’t stand anywhere.

 I took out one of my guns and tossed it to Katy who appearently forgot to bring hers. That gun contains bullets with holy water, no not the ones the priests ‘blest’. That’s total shit, true holy water is water purified well that’s what we call it for short but they’re really casted a spell on by a light witch, they purify crosses too.

 I released my claws and went at the little perverted demon. He smirked as he saw me launching at him and brought out his own claws. I slapped one of his hands away as he tried to claw at me and clawed at his stomach before kicking him in the same spot making him hiss in pain as he flew against a tree breaking it.

I looked at the black liquid in my hand and scrunched my face in disgust. I you think demons smell back you should smell their blood, tastes worst too, learned that the hard way.

 I dodged a punch as he came back at me and jumped as he swiped his foot trying to make me lose balance. I landed shifting my foot before turning around my arm blocking his foot as he tried to round kick me and round kicked him in the same place making him hiss louder as he flew away from the force.

 Just because demons can fight even with wounds and missing body parts they still feel pain. The demon got up cuddling is side glaring at me while I just smirked. He glanced at something before smirking himself

 ‘Oh great’ my wolf muttered.

 “Violet look-“ Ashly didn’t get to finish her sentence as I ducked just in time as that demon girl who said they were looking for a snack tried to punch me. As I ducked I balanced myself with my two hands before swiping my foot out making  her lose her balance, I switched my right hand behind me to balance me as I continued turning giving a high kick at the upcoming demon that was sneaking up on me.

 ‘They’re getting annoying now’ my wolf stated as I flipped away. 

 ‘No kidding’ I answered her. The two demons got up glaring at me the boy holding the same spot I hit over flinching in pain, huh what are the odds.

  He ignored the pain and went to launch at me but cut off midway as a ball of light hit him straight in the heart. He stood there frozen with a hole in he’s chest before falling. “Thanks Merideth” I thanked the light witch who was helping others in the sidelines.

I picked up a stone and tossed it hard at a demon’s leg who was dodging Katy’s shots making her get a better ankle as he froze hissing in pain. Katy shot him twice one in the heart and the forehead, you can never be careful when killing a demon.

 “Thanks Violet-“she was cut off as her eyes widened and she pointed her gun.

 ‘Not again’ my wolf groaned.

 I ducked as the bullet wheezed over me and heard a grunt soon after. I looked behind me to see a demon trying to sneak up on me and the bullet hit his heart. Bull eye.

Katy shot him two more times before he went down. “Sorry that one got away from us” Ashly spoke along with Josh who were smiling sheepishly.

 I rolled my eyes and decapitated another who tried to claw at me. Is it me or are they coming after me?

 I felt something claw on my left shoulder. What the- how I didn’t sense them there, I thought as I went for a round kick only o hit thin air. What the heck! I felt my eyes widen before I was kicked from behind, I went for a punch only to hit thin air again.  My senses were on high alert as I sensed around me and jumped out of the way just in time as that demon that has been stalking me appeared from the ground trying to claw at my leg.

 Great he’s using he’s power which is to blend on any surface. I would use blood control on him except for the fact demons don’t have blood in their veins, weird I know their hearts just pumps the soul’s energy from the soul they devoured throughout their body. So I used the ladder. Pain bringer.

 I watched as he crumbled on the ground in pain before blending in once again, great doesn’t work when he blends with something. I ducked from a round kick from behind and didn’t bother to try and hit him, he would have disappeared by then anyway.

'How the heck are we going to kill him if he won't kill still and keep dissapearing' my wolf spoke annoyed as I kept dodging hits. I just rolled my eyes ducking, obviously I have the cunning planning gene here.

'hey!' My wolf yelled not sounding offended at all.

I tried thinking of any ideas as I dodged he’s blows. How can I hit something that can’t be touched like…..

 A shadow! That’s it.

I concentrated and summoned the shadows from the edge of the clearing all around me.

I closed my eyes and strained my ears to hear the shadow’s whispers. Shadows tell secrets they hear and see many things many others can’t.

 I snapped my eyes open, got ya. I grabbed Katie’s gun from her hand using my shadow and shot a particular spot near me. I heard a hiss of pain and saw a shimmer before the demon materialized.

I smirked dropping the gun. “Bitch the demon whispered candling he’s right shoulder.

“I know I am” I smirked before using my pain bringer on him. He screamed out in pain wiggling around. “Just kill him already” Alayna rolled her eyes.

I rolled my eyes also ‘always the fun breaker’ my wolf mumbled.

I turned back towards the demon just in time to see him disappear along with he’s screams. Great.

I tried to look around to see if he would pop up without using my shadows and snapped my head towards the smell of ashes and death. He was right behind Steve who was still oblivious and tied up.

I saw him open he’s mouth sharpening he’s teeth going towards he’s neck.

“No!” I yelled out just as he bit it shock over coming Steve before he screamed out in pain. I ran towards them as fast as I could, he can’t devour his soul!

 ‘He’ll ruin everything!' My wolf growled out as I went towards them, life was leaving Steve’s eyes as he devoured his soul.

I punched him off Steve but it was too late. Steve’s already dead and the blasted demon has he’s soul.

I growled in anger feeling the air get heavy. Not only did he kill my prey but he took the soul I need for the spell.

‘Hurry take him, we might have time left before the souls used throughout he’s pathetic body’ my wolf said frantically.

Following her advice I took him by the neck before running towards no men land. I need somewhere deserted to do this.

“Violet wait!” Alayna called out to me and tried to follow me but Derek held her back convincing her not to go after me.

I finally got to no men’s land and into a clearing. I threw the demon against a tree like a rag doll.

 ‘Hurry’ my wolf spoke coming to the surface.

“W-what are we doing here” he stuttered as he tried to get up.

I felt my claws and canines elongate as my eyes turned red. I smiled showing my sharp canines making him step back.

“Don’t worry no one will hear you scream” my wolf and I spoke in sink. It’s been a while sense we’ve done this.

‘Agreed’ my wolf spoke.

We ran up to him grabbing him by the neck, slammed him onto a tree before putting my hand into he’s chest tearing he’s muscles with my claws before grabbing he’s heart pulling it back. I ignored he’s screams of pain and stepped into the clearing making sure to keep him alive through he’s heart.

‘We still have time, there’s some of he’s soul left and we have one willing to sacrifice their flesh’ my wolf whispered as we started the spell.

I closed my eyes focusing on the lingering soul within the demon’s heart ignoring he’s screams as a force was tearing through him and he’s heart.

“I sacrifice and flesh and soul now may my wish gain control” my wolf and I recited and a few seconds later the screaming stopped. I looked around the clearing to see ashes that was once the demon and its heart that contained the soul gone.

I felt some energy within me before any feelings and the bond with Trent was blocked.

‘At least the remaining soul was enough although I was hoping to at least break the bond.’ My wolf spoke. I stood up feeling a little dizzy before shaking it off.

“This will have to do for now” I spoke out loud and froze when I felt a presence before it disappeared. Probably my imagination.

I froze as I was walking out of the clearing as I saw a single petal.

A Scarlett petal from a Scarlett rose. Odd what’s this doing here? I picked it up with my bloodied hands and looked around seeing no such flower nearby.

I gave up and just stared at the petal in my hand that was being stained with the black demon’s blood or whatever that is.

"A beautiful rose for a beautiful girl, beautiful yet deadly" I recalled the boys words.

I watched as a breeze removed the petal from my hand making it glide through the air.

How right you are, how right you are.

1 day later

No one questioned what happened when we got back. The Tritan pack were still in chock while the others didn’t want to know especially what happened when I took that demon with me.

I was satisfied when I felt nothing when I was in the same room with Trent while he was just plain confused.

Derek went to make sure Maya was alright and I wouldn’t be surprised if they were making out right now with all the tension building up between them. I’m happy Derek’s happy with someone else since he’s mate died other than me.

I sighed getting out of my warm bath.

I walked out in a towel to see Trent who did a double take when he saw me. I just smirked and went into my closet to change.

“Finally ready to talk heh?” I smirked as I dried my hair.

Trent just nodded “The pack wants answers, I want answers” He was going to bring up the mate bond and decided not to. ‘Smart choice’ my wolf commented.

“Lead the way alpha Trent” I smirked, he’s jaw tightened as I called him that but never less led me towards the meeting hall.

The Tritan pack is about to learn not all legends are legends.

heya happy holloween, couldn't update yesterday I went to frightest and came back at midnight.

never going on a roller coaster again. other than that it was fun I was just joking and laughing with the zombies and clowns scaring us, weird I know but it was funny you should have seen my classmates. haha.

anyway i'm glad one of my readers was inspired by this book to write their oen book and ask permission.
