What I liked about this book:

There is a really sweet, sad story hiding in here.

The premise is that Joy and her boyfriend Vince just broke up, then woke up the next morning in one another's bodies. Vince then finds out that Joy is pregnant, which brings up all sorts of ethical questions about keeping the baby and bodily autonomy, which I really appreciated. Joy and Vince also play off one another very well.

What I did NOT like about this book:

The opening of this novel doesn't work for me, it's far too purple prosey. Pull it back and start with a more exciting event as the opening rather than just waking up and taking 3-4 paragraphs to realize something is wrong.

I'd also like to for once see body swapped characters uncomfortable in their new bodies. Realistically being the incorrect gender presentation is NOT going to be comfortable, but I've never actually seen this addressed in a body swap plot.

Apart from that I think the writing could be a tad better. Most of it was very decent but there were places that were very listy, and I still don't know what the MCs look like or what the houses are like, other than one of them being very large and the other containing an antique dresser. I need more detail than this.

Overall:

If there was more I would have read it but it's not good enough to have me chasing updates.
