What I liked about this book:

The author clearly liked writing this book.

What I did NOT like about this book:

This is badly written fanfiction. Everything, down from ripoff Hogwarts to ripoff Ouran High School Host Club cast to ripoff Gryffindor, feels like it was stolen from other media. Nothing in here is original. The world is flat and uninviting, and everything the MC would ever want or need just randomly is there for her.

The MC herself is a clear author insert. She receives a letter from a magical school--which her mother just HAPPENS to know about--and gets sent there, conveniently with her best friend. Amelia is super strong and good at fighting, and even thinks about transferring schools.

The writing itself is hideously poor. The pacing is awful, it's littered with spelling and grammar errors, and the author seems to lack a grasp of basic formatting. The prose just tells me everything, with absolutely no imagery, and the only reason I can picture it all is because we're at ripoff Hogwarts complete with pictures of Hogwarts in the banners.

The entire thing is just ridiculous, poorly paced nonsense. I can't even give it a serious review.

Overall:

Ick.
