What I liked about this book:

It had readable spelling and grammar, just barely. The idea for this could have made a good book, but would have made a better comic.

What I did NOT like about this book:

This reads like a bad anime. The prologue was so dry I struggled to read it, and everything is written in that weird third omniscient I hate. I feel like I'm reading a summary and not a book.

It took two chapters to get past anything other than Dean doing regular college kid things before he started getting letters and randomly disappeared. This could have worked out really well had the pacing been better and had literally anything in this book been given even the barest of description.

Once again, like so many of my others, there is no life in this piece. No one has any personality. They all read like stock characters from an anime, and there was no compelling reason for me to read past chapter five.

Overall:

I suggest the author lay off the anime/manga and pick up a book, so he can see how books are usually structured. Writing a book like an anime doesn't work 99.9% of the time.

Rating:

2/10. Got a point for a maybe decent idea if executed correctly.
