What I liked about this book:

This book has a very strong opening, in fact it is one of the best prologues I have ever seen on Wattpad. It did prologues right--separate point of view of something important that happened BEFORE the main story--and was very enticing. 

And then the momentum didn't stop. This book is extremely well thought out, and very well put together. Though it took for chapter 8 for anything super plot-related to happen, there was a lot of foreshadowing of who was a werewolf and what exactly was going to happen to Alex. Some of it did sneak up on me, but it was just enough that it didn't feel like a giant plot twist for no reason.

I can't wait to read the rest of this book. It's nowhere near finished and I want to see what events are in store. The author has already set up a defined antagonist and plot struggle in chapter 8, and the pacing here is better than most other books I have read on Wattpad.

What I did NOT like about this book:

The way Pierce refers to women is honestly pretty gross. I know he's supposed to be a womanizer, but the ogling he's doing makes him sound like a pig instead. It needs to be toned down because I'm not enjoying his behavior. He comes off as someone without good respect for boundaries, which is not really what I want in a character that is supposed to be on my side.

Alex annoyed me for a little bit near the very beginning of the book, mainly during the party, and came off as a little whiny. This dissipated after a bit, but for a minute it was there. Fortunately by that point I was already too invested to stop reading because he annoyed me.

Overall:

This book is very good. Pierce's behavior is not and it lost some stars for that.
