The Forsaken Know My Name

Author: TONYANN

Genre: Werewolf

What I liked about this book:

The setting here seems pretty well-thought-out, and the descriptions make it easy to see everything. The scenery sounds beautiful, and everything from the club to Huskville when they're driving through with the cab are easy to imagine.

What I did NOT like about this book:

The author writes like they ate a thesaurus and threw it back up. The writing is cluttered, the dialogue is unrealistic, and if I see one more curse word with stars in it, I will scream. I still know it says 'shitty' even if you spell it 'sh*tty'. You aren't fooling anyone.

Andre is gross, and some of the comments he makes toward women don't endear me to him at all. Malcolm isn't much better. The only character I sort-of like is Jill, and I didn't see nearly enough of her. The conflicts here are contrived, from the fistfight to the accused running away, and none of them make any sense.

Overall:

It was readable I suppose.

Rating:

4/10, I don't have much to say about it in a bad way.
