Genre: Teen fiction
What I liked about this book:
The plot could be a nice, if samey, teen fiction book.
What I did NOT like about this book:
I actually didn't finish this, which doesn't happen very often, and I barely got four chapters into it. The writing reads like a script. 'He did that.' 'She did this other thing.' 'Then this happened.'
A guy pops up out of nowhere and the MC immediately hates him for no reason. Then she telepathically deduces from a high five that they are best friends. Her friend is mad at these dudes for...I actually never was able to figure that out. Then Alice is late to school to create drama I guess? There was no motivation behind any of it.
Nobody has any personality. The dialogue is stilted and odd-sounding. The writing has no emotion, all of it sounds the same, and it drags. It was painful to read, and the chapters were extremely long...so I quit after four, considering there were only seven.
Overall:
I had almost nothing to say about this. It was that bad.
Rating:
1/10. Redo in its entirety, it has no plot or sensible character motivations and is unreadable as is.
