Alda
Author: mohamedfiras2
Genre: Fantasy
What I liked about this book:
There are some solid ideas here. This book could be entertaining in its own right. Alda is a classic powerful hero, and Raquib her loyal sidekick. Not much else to say though, because...
What I did NOT like about this book:
This book is a summary. It's literally pages and pages of the author telling me things that happen in the book. Alda learns she has powers, Alda learns to use her powers, Alda meets the king of the elves, Alda tries to kill Aldastra. I don't get to see any of it because the author just tells me it happens, then moved on. I might like this in a tropey sort of way if it was actually a book, but it's not one.
I was left feeling sort of confused and like I'd wasted twenty minutes of my time reading this, honestly.
The author PMed me telling me his book had a great twist and lots of drama. This probably would have gotten a better review had he not done that. It was obvious that Aldastra was Alda's mother from the second or third chapter, and then I had to suffer through thirteen more of them.
Overall:
This just isn't really a story, it's a summary of one.
Rating:
1/10. Write it as an actual book instead of a fifteen chapter summary and there's a chance I would sort of like this. Right now it is making my eyes cross because it doesn't make any sense.
