Chapter 2
Katsuki and Eijirou were in my room almost as soon as I texted them. In their defense, it was a cryptic as fuck message about needing to tell them something. I would have been just as fast if I was in their shoes.
"What the fuck happened?" Katsuki asked, his arms crossed over his chest as he stood near the window.
Eijirou ducked through at the same second, pushing the blond out of his way. "What Kats meant to ask, is what did you need to tell us?" he clarified, standing to his full height.
I looked between the two of them and then pointed to my bed. "You guys should sit down," I instructed. They eyed me skeptically, but Eijirou was able to pull Katsuki over to take a seat. Then both pairs of red eyes were locked onto me expectantly.
I fiddled with my fingers, glancing at Eijirou with caution. There was plenty of reason to believe he'd be the one to really freak out at my news. "Before I tell you," I glanced at my bedroom door, "I want you both to remember that my mom is home and not aware that we sneak through our windows to see each other, so you can't scream or anything."
"Iz?" Eijirou's voice was a warning, he was already concerned about where I was going with this.
"You're starting to freak us out, nerd." Katsuki, on the other hand, was trying his hardest to seem unbothered, but I had been around him enough to know that he was just as anxious about my news.
"Kacchan, my love," I said gently. "Would you mind just... holding onto Ei for a second? Just as a precaution."
The blond did so without hesitation, a firm grip on Eijirou's wrist. The redhead looked down at his hand and then at me, a quiet chuckle escaping his lips. "Iz, I really don't think this is necessary-"
"Shinsou's mom is losing their house, and my mom told her they can move in with us," I rushed out all in one breath. I squeezed my eyes shut and braced myself for yelling, but when none came I peeked my eyes open.
I could see that Katsuki's grip had tightened, the rest of him frozen in shock as he watched me. Eijirou seemed just as stunned but hadn't blown up yet.
"What?" the single word left the redhead's lips in a daze, reflecting my earlier reaction to the same news.
I released a groan, my shoulders dropping their tension. "I have no fucking clue how it happened. I mean, I knew that Himari was friends with my mom, but I never thought she'd offer anything even close to this. We weren't even allowed to sleep over at each other's houses last year, now she's totally okay with us sharing a room? I wanna know when she got a lobotomy because clearly, something fucked her up in the head." The words were out of my mouth before I could think them through. I hadn't wanted to gently reveal the fact we would be roommates, not throw it out into the open in the middle of my lamenting.
The room when so silent that you could hear a pin drop. None of us moved or breathed for a solid minute.
"Fucking. What?" Katsuki dropped his hand from the redhead's arm as he stood to his feet. Fuck, I really thought he'd be the one to stay calm for this, I griped to myself. It was a stupid thought, that either of them would remain calm with the information provided for them. "You're gonna share a fucking room with that bastard?"
"Just until we graduate!" I added quickly, waving my hands in front of myself. "Trust me, I'm not happy about it either."
"Then don't do it!" Katsuki raged. There was no way my mom couldn't hear him shouting, but I was hoping beyond hope that she left us alone anyway.
"They don't have a house!" I snapped back, throwing my hands up. "Do you want me to just leave them on the streets?"
My justification just seemed to piss him off even more. "Let it be someone else's fucking problem, you don't have to fix everything."
"Kats," Eijirou said, finally speaking and climbing to his feet. He grabbed onto the blond's hand in an effort to calm him down. "It's fine, okay? Shinsou pisses me off too, but Iz sleeps with us every night anyway. He won't try anything if we're always around."
Katsuki paused at that. He looked between my fuming figure and Eijirou. "Fine," he grumbled, turning back to me. "But you don't get to say shit about us being possessive, alright?"
I released a sigh, happy that they'd finally calmed down and accepted it. "I wasn't planning on it anyway. You guys do whatever you need to." Knowing how difficult it would be for all of us, I was willing to let them do their macho bullshit, if it made them feel better.
"Don't tell him that," Katsuki said with a shake of his head, falling with a huff back to his spot on my bed, his eyes flashing to Eijirou. "He'll fuck you with eyebags asleep across the room."
"Okay," I said a little too loud, stopping him from saying anything else that gave me wildly uncomfortable mental images. "Boundaries, we need boundaries for this."
"He needs boundaries," Eijirou snipped, meaning Shinsou. "We're your boyfriends and can do whatever we need to."
"Not that," I said firmly. "That is... crossing so many lines. Off the table, unfortunately," I tutted at him.
"You ruin all my fun," the teen pouted, sitting back down next to Katsuki. I probably should have been a bit more disturbed by the fact that his 'fun' was fucking me in front of my best friend, my ex, who was still in love with me. What's that saying about rose-tinted glass or something? I wasn't sure, I was selectively colorblind when it came to Eijirou's and Katsuki's red flags.
I rolled my eyes at his whining. "You'll find some other way to assert your dominance," I teased, taking a seat between them and letting myself lay back on the bed.
"Already thought of a few," Eijirou agreed, leaning back on his elbows so he was more level with me.
"I wasn't worried," was my sarcastic response as I let my eyes flutter closed. "Everything was supposed to be easy now," I lamented.
Katsuki snorted a laugh at that. "When has it ever been easy?"
"Mm, touche."

The next day, my friends gathered at the boys' house for practice. I ended up waiting it out in Katsuki's room since I tended to cause distractions. I usually let them have about an hour before I made my way down, but I had to call Uraraka, so I told them I'd probably be later than normal.
I had texted her earlier in the day, letting her know when I wanted to call, so I shouldn't have been surprised that as soon as I left the garage, my phone started ringing. I rolled my eyes with a fond smile at how impatient my best friend was.
After clicking the answer button, I realized she'd called me in our group chat with Todoroki and Shinsou. Great.
"All right, spill. What is it?" Uraraka asked eagerly as soon as I joined the call. I could tell from the pink curtains behind her that she was sitting at the bay window in her room.
"You're insufferable, you know that?" I asked her, holding up my phone to my face while I made my way upstairs to Katsuki's room. It had to be his room since his desk chair was way more comfortable than Eijirou's.
"We haven't used this chat for months," Todoroki pointed out after joining, clearly sitting at the desk in his bedroom. All his walls were white with little to no decoration, so it was a true testament too often we used to call that I knew exactly where he was.
"Yeah, well, I was feeling nostalgic," Uraraka sassed, her screen shaking for a moment as she readjusted how she was sitting. I was guessing that she had used one of her legs to rest her hand on, to steady her phone. "Fuck you."
"No," Todoroki said the word simply, all matter-of-fact like. Uraraka and I burst out in laughter at his response. The first time one of us said 'fuck you' to Todoroki, he'd asked why we would want to do that. A firm no was progress.
"But seriously," Uraraka said as she sobered up from her laughter. "What did you need to tell me?"
I eyed both of them through the screen cautiously. "You can't tell Shinsou that I'm telling you any of this, got it?" I asked in the most threatening tone I could muster.
"Scout's honor," Uraraka said with a dutiful hand over her heart. Todoroki didn't reply, but I hadn't really expected a response from him.
I hated to break the news to them that they were going to be down another friend, but I really needed Uraraka's advice on how the fuck to deal with it. "Himari's losing the house, so my mom offered to let her and Shinsou stay with us."
"What?!"
"He's moving too?"
They both had the reactions I was expecting.
I explained the full story, including the part where he had to share a room with me. Then I reminded them what had happened the last time we were alone, the night he killed Shigaraki. By the end of it, I thought Uraraka was going to go into shock. She'd totally frozen, making me think for a second that she had glitched. "Ura?"
She held up a finger, angling her head down with closed eyes. "Processing."
I just say back in Katsuki's chair, swiveling it to the left and right as I waited for her. It only took about thirty seconds.
"God, can't believe all that drama is gonna unfold across the country," she complained, letting her head fall back against the wall behind her.
"Yeah," I said, brushing her concern off. "But how do I survive that drama, Ura? Help me." I was pleading with her, hoping for any ideas.
Uraraka shrugged her shoulders, her phone moving up with her. "Move out."
I dropped my face against Katsuki's desk, my forehead making a small thud from the contact. "You're so fucking unhelpful."
"I never know what to expect when I join these calls," Shinsou's voice through my phone speaker made me snap my head up.
All three of us said his name in surprise as he eyed us suspiciously. "C'mon guys, I don't ignore your FaceTime calls that often."
"You ignore all of them," Uraraka frowned, flicking him off through the screen.
"Not true," Shinsou argued, his own middle finger up in retaliation. "I didn't ignore this one."
"Kids, please," I said with a tired sigh, stopping the fight in its tracks. "No fighting on the phone."
"Fine," Shinsou said with a huff. "but only because I need to tell you guys something."
I held my breath, knowing exactly what he wanted to tell us, or rather Todoroki and Uraraka.
"You're moving?" Todoroki asked, propping his chin up on his hand with a bored expression.
"Izuku," Shinsou whined, letting his fall back against his desk chair. "You couldn't just let me tell them?"
I felt my face heat up in embarrassment. "It's a big deal!" I cried in my own defense. "You can't expect me to not tell Uraraka. I held out for a day, that's an accomplishment!"
"I'll try to not be offended by the fact you're talking to her about it before me," he grumbled with an eye roll.
I turned away from my phone, one hand to my ear. "Oh, look at that, I think someone's calling my name. Gotta go!" I said while pressing the end call button. Uraraka and Shinsou's protests were cut short when it disconnected.
I abandoned my phone at the desk and made my way to Katsuki's bed. Collapsing onto it, I couldn't help but wonder if I really could survive this.
