Chapter I
Disclaimer: I don't own Star Wars. The whole franchise belongs to Disney and George Lucas before. There's nothing else I can say. I'm sorry if this turns out bad cause I have no clue how to start this. On with the story...
ABOVE NABOO: 32 BBY
The small space cruiser hurtles towards the beautiful blue-green planet of Naboo that is currently being blockaded by Trade Federation ships. Inside the cruiser, four humans - two Jedi, a captain, and a pilot - stay in the cockpit of the ship as the captain and pilot maneuver the ship closer towards one of the battleships.
"Captain," one of the Jedi commands quietly and serenely. The captain turns to the Jedi, awaiting the order.
"Yes, sir?"
"Tell them we wish to board at once," the Jedi declares. The captain looks at her view screen, where the Neimoidian trade viceroy Nute Gunray waits impatiently for a reply.
"With all due respect," the captain informs, "the Ambassadors for the Supreme Chancellor wish to board immediately."
"Yes, yes, of course... as you know, our blockade is perfectly legal, and we'd be happy to receive the Ambassador," Gunray lies. The view screen goes black, the connection getting severed, and the sinister battleship looms in the cockpit window as the cruiser docks inside one of the many docking bays of the ship. Protocol droid TC-14 quietly awaits the door to the docking bay to slide up, allowing him to enter. As the door opens, the Republic cruiser can be seen as TC-14 greets two darkly robed figures. TC-14 and the two hooded figures walk down a hallway into a formal conference room.
"We are greatly honored by your visit Ambassadors. Make yourselves comfortable. My master will be with you shortly," TC-14 reports as she bows, backing out of the door. The door closes with a swish. The two Jedi lower their hoods as they stare out the large window at the lush planet of Naboo. Under the hoods, the faces of two men peer out of the window, one older and one younger.
Qui-Gon Jinn is the older one, at around sixty years of age. He is tall, with striking blue eyes and long brown hair tied up in a ponytail.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is the younger, at fifteen years of age. He has very short brown hair with a small braid hanging over his right ear. He also has blue eyes that sparkle with nervousness and apprehension.
"I have a bad feeling about this," Obi-Wan comments to his master.
"I don't sense anything," Qui-Gon responds.
"It's not about the mission, Master," Obi-Wan explains, "it's something... elsewhere... elusive."
"Don't center on your anxieties, Obi-Wan. Keep your concentration here and now where it belongs," Qui-Gon advises patiently.
"But Master Yoda said I should be mindful of the future," Obi-Wan answers, confused.
"...but not at the expense of the moment," finishes Jinn. "Be mindful of the living Force, my young Padawan."
"Yes Master," Obi-Wan accepts, still somewhat perplexed. "How do you think the trade viceroy will deal with the chancellor's demands?"
"These Federation types are cowards," Qui-Gon informs his Padawan. "Negotiations will be short."
Author's Note: I'm sorry this chapter was so short; I just thought that I'd better get this out soon or I never will. Hope you enjoyed! And please comment, it makes me smile.
