Intimidate, threathen

It was 3:37 in the morning, a week after that confession, when Naegi woke up, quite shaken from his sleep. The first thing he noticed was that his captor was not next to him. Somewhat puzzled, he got out of bed to go to the kitchen, when he half opened the door, he heard voices in the living room.

-How did they disappear?- The brunette immediately identified Junko's voice. He stood still, on the one hand, he felt it was wrong to hear about that conversation, but on the other, he wondered about those people. In the end, he decided to hear the rest.

-If you already know where she is, send her to sleep.- He didn't have to be very smart to understand what that phrase implied, nor that it was a good time to cover his mouth and shut up the sigh of surprise.- Regarding those two, tell the others not to mention it when they come, he's not stupid enough to stay after he finds out. I'm going to go, we'll talk in a few days, if they don't provoke another emergency call.

The luckster remained silent for the seconds in which the mastermind returned to the room, so as not to raise suspicions, he left the room.

-Makoto? How long have you been awake?

-I just woke up, I had a strange dream. I was going to drink something.

-Very good.- The contrary entered to the room, while her hostage was moving away from him.Once in the kitchen, he allowed himself to panic.

What if that person she was trying to kill was her sister or her mother? She had promised not to hurt them, what motives would she have for lying to him, when she could simply torture him until he died?

After thinking for a while, he came to the conclusion that it was better to escape from there as soon as possible. What he needed now was to plan his way out.

Two weeks later, he had written down on a piece of paper the days that she was awake at dawn. He made sure to pretend that he was seriously sick so that he could sleep alone, taking the opportunity to run away.

Making as little noise as possible, he got off the bed and searched for the keys. He took them from the desk in the corner of the room. He went to the kitchen, to find a bottle that he had kept. Once he grabbed everything, he carefully made his way to the door.

After he just opened it, he started running through that forest. There was no time to lose, at any moment she could wake up, and he did not want to know what kind of punishment would await him.

Upon reaching the bridge, he felt an inner emptiness seeing it destroyed. He knelt down as he watched the scene. His efforts had been in vain. And now he had caused something worse. Not knowing what to do, he remained in that place, knowing that she would find out at some point.

And so it was, after a while, he turned to see where those steps were coming from. When she was close enough to him, she offered him her hand.

-Don't think you're going to stay there, let's go.- He heeded her order, and he followed her with his head bowed.

Upon arrival, she took him by his wrists, and with a smile, she moved a little closer to him.

-Listen to me, if you try to leave here again, you will not live to tell about it. Neither you nor your sister, don't worry about your parents, they are already in a better place. The luckster sweated cold at the threat and revelation of him, he wanted to say something, but he was paralyzed, he could not react. His captor led him into her room, and she held him against her. Tomorrow she would take care of it.
