MasterOfHearts
Karen, from CLN, had the honor of interviewing an amazing author, MasterOfHearts She is the author of several books on Wattpad including Trails To Love, Under The Water, Sex-uality Education and several more.
My name is Karen and I am from the Crazy Late Nighters Community. You were nominated by, X_SxnsAndNxght because as he said and I quote "She has an amazing talent for writing her stories. She makes readers feel emotional throughout her books, and she still writes her books for us despite her life behind the screen, and that inspires me and many others to keep moving forward." As we start this interview, what name/pen name and pronoun would you like to go by for this interview?
My username is good and I'm a she.
MasterOfHearts it is! When did you first start writing and what made you decide to start writing?
I started writing in 2018, my inspiration was actually a Wattpad author, NatashaPreston After joining Wattpad to read her books I soon fell in love with Taekook fanfictions which is what I write now uwu.
That's amazing that you found your inspiration from another author. I bet you give your readers inspiration too. What makes your writing different from others?
I would like to say my writing differs from others in a kind of random, not-planned-out type of way. I never plot out my books but rather use my mind to jot down the first thing that comes on my mind in each new chapter, I also have a perfect balance of smut, fluff and angst.
That has to be a fun way to write and it's great that you have a perfect balance of smut, fluff and angst in your writing. If you could describe your writing style in 5 words, what would it be?
Imagine it, then write it.
I love it! How many books have you written so far, and which one is your favorite?
I've written ten, my favorite is of my original account and it was titled "Taken".
Is that story still published for people to read? What is it about and how did you come up with the idea for it?
No, that book retired when my old account was deleted, However I came up with the idea after having a dream, it was about a kidnapper who fell in love with his captive who eventually had the same feelings.
That sounds like a great story and I wish I could've read it. How do you come up with the characters and do you relate to any of them?
Mm, I come up with the characters by imagining the main idea of the story and how each personality would fit into it. I most relate to Jungkook in my book trails to love and actually based his character of myself. He is very loving and understanding and gentle but hides his sadness on the side and tries to make everything perfect for the ones he loves.
Your character sounds very relatable. Relating to a character in a story always enhances the story quality. Has any of your stories been harder to write compared to the rest and if so why?
Yes, my book "Sexuality Education" has been hard to write since I used to be very good at angst smut scenes but now, I tend to lean more towards gentle and caring scenes instead and I have to go back to more harsh scenes when writing that book.
I'm impressed with your contrast in writing. It can be very challenging to write one type and then switch over to another. How do you overcome writer's block?
I really don't, most of the time that I write I am on writer's block, I usually just push through it most of the time.
That is amazing that you push through it. I'm sure it makes your readers happy. What are your strengths and weaknesses in writing?
My strength is definitely having a big imagination when it comes to thinking of a plot off the top of my head and my weakness is making smut scenes long because short ones don't get enough build-up to make it seem like the character enjoyed what happened.
That is a wonderful strength to have. A big imagination is a great thing to have as a writer. So, my next two questions are from, X_SxnsAndNxght. The first question is, what inspires you to keep moving forward and write?
Definitely my readers! When I see the comments that I receive on my writing and how much people appreciate my work that often inspires me to continue writing.
That's amazing that your readers inspire you. I'm sure that makes them all feel very important. The second question is, is there someone you look up to?
Natasha Preston and my friend Bangtanlover95 also known as Mehrin, they're writing styles are very unique and always make me want to read more. I've always wanted my stories to feel that way as well.
That is wonderful that you have found writers that make you want to read more. As you know we are called the Crazy Late Nighters Community. Would you consider yourself crazy and why?
Mm no, I'm pretty mellow and nice; some would even consider me a push-over.
Being nice and mellow are good things though. In such a hectic world, it's good to find nice people. If you could choose any nocturnal animals to be, what would you pick?
A spinner dolphin.
You are the first person to say a spinner dolphin. I would've never even thought of it. If your life was turned into a book what would the title be and why?
Anxious Love, because I get quite anxious about everything, but I still show love and care to everyone around me.
That's a beautiful title, and it is remarkable how much you care for others. What book would you choose if you could only read one book for the rest of your life?
Mind Of Stone by Kookachu.
That is a great choice. In your own words, why is reading and writing important?
Mm it's a way to escape from a place you're in whether you're in a good place or bad place and just imagine a whole other scenario to get things off your mind.
It really is an escape. What do you hope to accomplish with your writing?
Personal happiness.
Very wise. So, I only have two more questions before concluding this interview. Do you still get excited when someone votes or comments on your story?
Yes! Especially if the person is new to my account.
That's great! My final question for you is what message would you like to give you fans and readers?
I will keep it short and simple, it's important to remember to live every day to the fullest even when you're sick, depressed or angry. Always take the extra step to make yourself feel more happy or comfortable in a situation and never forget you're beautiful and worth it.
Beautiful words that everyone needs to hear. I want to thank you so much for allowing me and the lynx pack to have this opportunity to interview you. It was a pleasure getting to talk with you and I wish you all the best in your writing!
