That night in 2023 when Tae chased Novi to the alleyway where she disappears.

Tae drags you back into the darker recesses of the alley and is ready to leave with you. As he opens a portal, Hope suddenly appears behind him. 

"Stop, Tae. I can't let you take her."

"What the hell do you mean, 'I can't take her'!?"

"She has to go back. You can't keep dragging her from period to time period. Give her to me." He reaches out for your unconscious body. 

Tae pulls away, holding you closer, pouting. "No!"

"You may kill her if you keep traveling. She is not like you and I. You can't keep dragging her through time just to have her with you!"

"But I love her." Hope knows he is telling the truth. Like a child, Tae can't hide that from him.

"I know you do, but she is not yours to love." And she's not mine either. He thinks of the picture he carries in his pocket.

Tae looks down at your beautiful sleeping face.

"You need to take her back and hope she survives mentally. You may not get another chance to make things right, Tae. Take her back."

"But I want her, she's mine."

"Tae . . ." Hope is interrupted. As Tae began to realize something.

"It was you who sent her brother and Jungkook, wasn't it!? To have them keep her safe . . . safe from me! That is why I have to take her with me now. Maybe Valentine's Day 1963? Yes, yes I will take her there." He looks down at you in his arms, unconscious. "You'd like that wouldn't you Beautiful?"

"Tae, listen to me, she is not yours to do with as you wish! You know what you're doing carries the penalty of death!"

He silently nods not taking his eyes off you.

"What about Jimin and Jakay?"

"Don't worry about them. I'll be taking Jimin back." Hope knows Jakay will go back on his own, he doesn't like being gone too long from Sara.

"Will she, will she forget me? Who I am or . . . or what I've done?" He wants her to remember him but not what he has done tonight. He just wanted to love her and keep her.

"She will only see you as her brother's friend and nothing more. But that will fade quickly. You will no longer associate with them after taking her back."

"Can't I stay here in 2032 and keep her with me? And not let her remember them, only me?"

"No, Tae. A mind can only take so much before it breaks."

He hangs his head, "But I love her."

Frustrated, Hope says, "Well, you have one hell of a way of showing it! You will be lucky she survives with her mind intact, but if you keep her here, she will go insane. She doesn't belong here, Tae."

Tae begins to cry, "Yes, you are right. I have to take her back."

"Leave her in a safe place. Take her to Bellevue Hospital, and you better hope she comes around soon."

True to his word, Tae leaves you close to the hospital, where a nurse finds you on her way in to work.

He sits in the shrubs, silently crying till you were taken inside. You are still unconscious when they place you on a gurney. Once you are out of sight he begins seething at Hope and his high and mighty ways.

"Why does Hope always interfere!?"

He crosses his arms like an obstinate child and pouts defiantly, saying, "I may have brought her back, but I won't give up. I love her."

He pulls his vape out of his pocket and then remembers what year he's in. They don't have vapes here. He goes to find a place where he won't be seen, to seeth in private and scheme of a better future where just he and Novi can live in happiness and love.
