Character Introduction & Information
This story is fiction. (meaning it is not real) It is listed as Mature for possible triggers for advances made against the lead female characters' wishes, such as forced kissing/holding/trapping, in the chapters: 'Sibling Hierarchy' and 'This is Not a Fairytale.'
To clarify: ALL the characters are fiction, not real, and are not a true representation of the real-life people of the group BTS. The character called Tae in this story is not and does not portray the actions of the real-life person of Taehyung from BTS.
Year: 1932
Min Yoon
Yoon: Stage name Suga. Age 32. Co-owner of an illegal *speakeasy with his two friends, Mr. Joon Kim, nicknamed Namjoon and Mr. Jin Seok. He lives with a broken heart and desperation.
Job: Famous *Crooner and Pianist.
Favorite Pastime: Whiskey, writing songs and ditching photographers.
Jin Seok, Joon Kim, and Mary Lee
Jin Seok: Age 33. Co-owner of an illegal speakeasy and two nightclubs with his two best friends.
Job: Bartender, part-time piano player when Mary sings.
Favorite Past Time: Fishing, disappearing for what he calls 'me time' and coming up with new concoctions for others to drink.
Jin is a *widower. His wife Sophie was killed during a shootout between known criminal *Two-Gun Crowley and New York City police on May 7, 1931. She was his reason for being in New York.
Mary Lee: Age 28. Steady girlfriend of Namjoon. She has been in a long-term relationship with Namjoon, and they plan to *middle- aisle it in a few years.
Job/Jobs: Part-time nightclub singer and waitress at a nearby eatery.
Favorite Past Time: Namjoon. Volunteering as an aid at a local hospital. Has aspirations to one day be a nurse.
Joon Kim: Age 31. Nickname, Namjoon. Co-owner of two nightclubs and a speakeasy with Jin and Suga, his two best friends
Job: Acquires the illegal alcohol and handles the accounting books and business end of all three of their clubs.
Favorite Past Time: His sweet Mary. He occasionally accompanies her on the saxophone while she sings.
Because of their nightclub business, Namjoon, Jin, and Suga are wealthy men. Two nightclubs were following the prohibition law and operating legally. The other, their favorite, was not.
Year: 2032
Novi Park, Jimin Park, Tae Kim, Jakay Jeon, and Hope Jung
Novi Park: Age 29. She owns the to-be renovated former 1930s nightclub with her younger brother Jimin, who she is very close to. She is fascinated by the 1920s and 1930s.
Jimin Park: Age 26. Co-owner of their nightclub called, 'Vintage Love' with his sister. He has never seen his sister so keen on keeping a place after renovating it, but this building seemed to enchant her.
Job: He helps his sister with every aspect of their family's business. His other job is personal, protecting his sister, especially from his new friend Tae.
Favorite Past Time: Nipping Tae's advances to Novi in the bud. His other favorite thing to do is singing, mesmerizing the ladies with his soft vibrato and sweet notes as he serves drinks to the tables during breaks in the entertainment, resulting in drink sales skyrocketing.
Tae Kim: Age 26. A recent friend of Jimin. He has a hard crush on Novi, but Jimin stands in his way. He hides a dark secret that only one other person knows.
Job: Crooner, with a smooth, sultry voice. He draws a crowd wherever he sings.
Favorite Past Time: Being a major flirt, with girls at his beck and call. He rarely has to spend a night alone. But the one he wants, the one he is in love with, he can't have.
Jakay Jeon: Age 24. Best friend of Jimin. He is happy to work for him and his sister.
Job: Soon to be a bouncer at 'Vintage Love' nightclub.
Favorite Past Time: Painting, drawing and making money from the sales of his art. He excels at working out at the gym. A bouncer has to stay physically fit.
Hope Jung: Age 31. Professionally trained Bartender. He and Novi have been best buddies since teenagers when they lived next door to each other and even dated for a few months. He loves bartending, mostly because he loves listening to the customers while making drinks, hoping to bring a little joy and sunshine into their lives.
Job: Bartender Extraordinaire.
Favorite Past Time: Running his own small brewery and creating what he calls designer beers and honey mead for exclusive clients. He also has a love for architecture and dabbles in nightclub design among . . . other things.
The fake storefront of Suga, Namjoon, and Jin's illegal bar, *The Bees Knees Book Shop. The store was only 40 feet deep, and behind the added 2-foot storage room was a secret entrance to the speakeasy.
This is the 'Vintage Love' nightclub, after renovation from The Bees Knees Book Shop. The fake storefront has been removed, and the bar area has been extended to take up the space where it once was. It is bigger than what appears in the picture. The 'Private' door is on the right and leads to the other half of the building.

*Speakeasy- A bar or establishment that illegally sold beer or alcohol during the *prohibition era.
*Prohibition Era - The 18th amendment to the Constitution prohibited the production, importation, transportation and sale of alcohol. The prohibition era began January 17, 1920 and was repealed on December 5, 1933.
*Crooner- a singer, typically a male one, who sings sentimental songs in a soft, low voice.
*Widower is the male version of widow. Widower and Widow stand for people who have lost their spouses due to death and have not remarried.
*Middle- Aisle it: slang in the 1930s for getting married.
