Gwyn hates yellow.

Especially the bright one. It's rasping to his senses. It doesn't have to do anything for aesthetic reasons. It's all about the wavelength and psychological response.

You see, yellow, which exists within the visible spectrum of electromagnetic radiation, emerges when light wavelengths between 570 and 590 nanometers stimulate the retina's medium-wavelength-sensitive cone cells. It occupies this specific frequency range and lies closely between the shorter wavelengths of blue light and the longer wavelengths of red light, eventually inducing an unusual sensation of yellow in him.

It's a bit overwhelming, basically like a visual irritation.

And a portrayal of visual discordance, almost like a sharp contrast that's harder for him to comfortably process compared to other colors.

That's why the genius blader prefers colors that don't trigger or heighten his response in his vision, like white or pale blue.

Then he met Dante. The definition of color abomination.

And he's blond—more reason to despise him.

And yet, meeting this guy changed everything in his life 180 degrees.

"Yum!" A pleased voice echoes throughout the room, belonging to a certain energetic blond blader as he sips from a cup of coffee in Victories Gym. The others aren't present.

"What are you doing?" Gwyn asks, observing from the side and initiating conversation with obvious questions. Because that's how he observed other humans, asking obvious or stupid questions just to start a long conversation.

"Drinking coffee to make my day," Dante chirps, grabbing another cup.

"Why do you drink so much coffee?" Gwyn continues, attempting to keep the conversation going. Because they said the exchange of words must be long or else it will be awkward.

"I need the caffeine for more energy! I'm gonna go all out today!"

(Doesn't he already have too much energy?)

Gwyn tilts his head confusingly, "Actually, caffeine works by blocking the action of adenosine, a neurotransmitter that promotes sleep and relaxation by binding to its receptors in the brain. By blocking these receptors, caffeine prevents adenosine from signaling that you're tired. However, it doesn't directly provide energy; instead, it combats the feeling of fatigue by keeping you more alert and awake."

Then he smiles innocently as he watches Dante freeze on his spot and have an existential crisis.

"My whole life was a lie?"

Ah, yes. This idiotic blond and yet fun guy managed to change his life.

He still hates yellow...

But maybe...

He could make an exception.

"Until now, I can't believe I managed to make a friend," Gwyn said as he took a sip of bitter coffee.

Delta stared blankly at him.

"You didn't make one; you just got adopted by an extrovert."

(Dang it.)

Hmmm...

What if...

He make more friends?
