Amani stopped the police car, staring at the large haunted-looking mansion with hatred, she checked the paper again, then the house. "You sure this is the house?" Amani asked, looking back at the large cops behind her. Amani wasn't sure what Super Nova had in store for her but she knew that they needed to be prepared for anything.

Amani nodded, looking back at the house. She took one step near the house, and immediately shots being fired were heard. Amani snapped her head back at the cops to see the large bodies fall to the ground, bloodied with gun wounds littering their chests and stomach.

Amani stood there, shocked, two of the best cops in the police department were just taken down in the blink of an eye. Amani sighed, 'I should've asked for four.." she thought, hanging her head.
"Shame... good thing they weren't close to you, right."
Amani snapped her eyes open, took her gun from her holder, and pointed it to where the voice was.

"Super Nova."
Amani growled, and Super Nova's sharp yellow eyes peered into Amani's green ones. Amani, ready to end her once and for all, moved her finger for the trigger, Super Nova immediately reciprocated, in the blink of an eye, a gun was pointed in Amani's face, and Supernova's eyes turned sharp and hostile.

"You pull the trigger, and you have more problems than you think on your hands."
She says coldly and bluntly, making Amani waver in her glare.

"Put the gun down, Wishes."

Amani stood her ground, her grip on the cold, L-shaped weapon, tightening.
"You first, Super Nova."

Amani glared at the woman in the black hooded car. Supernova, surprisingly, shrugged and put the gun by her side, and put both of her hands up in the air. Amani lowered her gun in confusion, why was a literal Super villain acting so....so....chill? Amani dropped her gun and crossed her arms.

"What do you want? In exchange for the orphans."
She growled, her green eyes turning sour again. Supernova slid off the police car, gracefully landing on her feet, fixing her garter, her red tail moved and swirled around. Supernova cleared her throat.

"We best discuss this inside."
Supernova spoke, pointing a finger to the now-opened, door. Amani felt a chill go up her spine, 'it's for the kids.' She thought then crossed her arms.
"I'll go by your demands."
And with that Amani followed Supernova inside the house.

"Woah."

The entrance had a staircase in the front with a door on each side with large windows on the right of it.
Amani looked around at the interior, everything looked fancy and looked close to something from the 90s, maybe dark academia. Supernova looked back at Amani, catching her amazing eyes, and making her nervous. "Uhm...The inside sure does match the outside."

Amani said, looking around at the large mansion.

"Wishes, over here."
Amani looked back at Supernova to find that she made her way over to the left door, staring back at Amani. Amani trotted over to where Supernova was. Supernova walked into the room Amani followed quickly.

The living room screamed Dark academia. The room was filled with grey couches and red cushions.
"Sit over here."
Supernova said, Amani obeyed sitting on the dark-colored couch as Supernova moved into another room.

<timeskip>

After waiting a few minutes, Supernova came back with a tray, a teapot, two teacups, and a sugar cube bowl sat on the tray. Supernova put the tray onto the table and sat next to Amani. She poured herself a cup of tea and added two sugar cubes. Supernova sipped at the tea she had just made then looked at Amani.

"Would you like some tea?"
Supernova asked, placing her teacup on her tiny plate, Amani tensed.
"Just tell me what you want already."
She snapped, Amani just wanted to be in and out with the orphans not have a tea party with the world's most known Supervillain who was out to destroy the world. Supernova sighed, putting her tea on the tray.

"I want you to help me, save the world."
Amani looked at Supernova alarmed, she had not expected that to come out of Supernova's mouth.
"P-pardon?"

Supernova looked down, her hair shading her eyes.
"There is someone who plans to destroy the entirety of the earth we know and love. If you do this one thing with me, I return the orphans and-and I'll-"
She sighed heavily.

"I'll leave your town."
Amani smiled, this was great! If what Supernova's saying is true, she would be killing two birds with one stone!

"Deal! So where is the bastard?!"
Amani shook Supernova's hand ecstatically.

"That's the problem."

Amani stopped.
"What do you mean?"

"I hope you have a lot of time to spare. This journey is going on to take a long time, you can tell the citizens in the morning."
Supernova sighed heavily standing up from her seat.

"Let me show you where you're staying in the meantime."

Amani nodded and stood up with the supervillain following her up the stairs and to a room. Supernova opened the door, and Amani's jaw dropped.

A chandelier in the center of the light grey room with a beautiful white bed in the center and curtains behind the bed on the wall, dressers, and chairs on each side of the bed, a dark academia perfection built room in Amani's eyes.

"Sorry if it's a bit much, I tried to be as plain as possible decorating the guest room."
Supernova said as Amani moved around the room, marveling at the details of this 'simple' room. Supernova started to close the door on her way out, speaking about being quiet and that there are other guests here with them at the moment.

"Oh! And please, for the rest of our journey, address me as Emory."
Supernova, Emory said as the door closed. Amani sat on the soft white comforted bed, once all the lamps in the room were turned off and chuckled.
"Hm. Emory. What a familiar name."
She said, tucking herself into the bed, sighing to herself, and falling asleep.

<->

Emory closed the door and turned and walked down the hall. Soon she stopped at a door turned and opened it.

"Mama?"
A small pink-haired girl in a navy blue colored bed sat in the center.
Emory smiled and walked into the room, Emory sat on the edge of the bed as the girl eagerly slid under the covers a bright smile on her face.

"Hi, my little moonshine, I hope I didn't keep you waiting for too long."
The girl shook her head.
"nuh uh. But I missed you, mama!"

The girl reached her hands out for Emory's face, which she obliged. The girl squished Emory's cheeks and pulled her closer, kissing her cheek, and making Emory chuckle. Emory kissed the girl's forehead, making her giggle.

"And now, You have a new friend in the next room over if you get bored too."
Emory cooed, squishing the child's cheeks.
"Ma! Can you sing me that lullaby to make me sleep better?"
The girl gave puppy eyes at the supervillain, making Emory smile. "Of course, moonshine." Emory cleared her throat and started to hum.

"~"

"You're my baby, say it to me~"
