The Water Mystic is a magical elemental ninja under the servitude of two different Shredders. First and foremost, the Tengu Shredder, who he is loyal to, and subsequently and much to his chargin, Ch'rell the Ultrom Shredder. After his original master was sealed inside a magical coffin, he and his brothers, the fire, metal, and wind mystics, were sealed in a different way. With the Amulet of Tengu, the five were under the control of whomever possessed the amulet, on top of having their powers sealed with power dampening armor. The amulet was eventually stolen by Ch'rell, the Ultrom Shredder, whom they hated for stealing their true master's name. When Ch'rell is exiled to space, and is succeeded by his adopted daughter Karai, the mystics take their chance to trick Agent Bishop(as well as the TMNT proxy) into stealing it, as well as Dr. Baxter Stockman into destroying it. With the amulet destroyed, the mystics are free to regain their power and resurrect their one true master.
