Two Friends
It was a sunny day in Musutafu City and many people were using this beautiful as best as they could, going out on walks with either their friends or loved ones or their friends. The two young boys by the age of seven made sure to make the most of this beautiful weather and were spending the day outside of their households, playing one of their favourite games on one of their favourites places to play which was a playground. The very same playground they had met on a while ago.
"Haha!" Y/N shouted with an evil grin on his face, throwing him arms up as he stomped his feet against the sand in a dramatic manner, "Destroying things is fun!"
"Hold it right there!" A young male voice rang through Y/N's eyes a second later, ceasing him in his action as he looked over to the source of it and saw Izuku standing in a small distance from him, having a heroic grin on his face and he stood like a hero straight out from a comic book.
Y/N glared at him, "Would you look at that! Who decided to finally show up! Midoriya Izuku! My archenemy!"
"Precisely!" Izuku pointed at him, pointing towards him as he looked at him with a look of pure determination on his face, "L/N Y/N ! Did you really thought you could destroy everything in your path and get away with it?"
Y/N nodded in confirmation, crossing his arms as did his best to act like a villain, "This is exactly what I thought! Once I'm done, this world will be completely destroyed and nothing will remain of it!"
Izuku kept pointing at him, "Then you are wrong! You will be stopped and this world will be saved? Do you know why? Because I'm here!"
"We'll see about that!" Y/N shouted, stomping his feet against the sand below him again to make himself appear more threatening.
Y/N and Izuku looked directly at each other, exchanging glances for one last time before charging towards each other. What followed next were long minutes of fun between them as they played together as heroes and villains, going along the scenario they had made up with for this playtime and the scenario they kept making up the further they went into their fight. The fight ultimately ended with Izuku coming out victorious, like a always should and Y/N getting defeated, like a villain always should.
Izuku pointed towards Y/N with a victorious smile on his face, "You attempts at destroying this world were once again stopped L/N Y/N! Remember! No matter what, heroes and the good always wins!"
"Nooo!" Y/N shouted dramatically, trying to act like a villain would act in defeat as he laid on the ground. Or at least he this is how a villain would act in defeat. He had no way of knowing. He was not a villain and will never become a villain.
He and Izuku glanced at each other a second later and exchanged glances before bursting into laughter. Y/N got up from the ground a second later, shaking the sand off of him to collect himself a bit as he and Izuku smiled at each other. Despite having already played this game countless times at this point and having already done countless scenarios where a hero fought a villain, they always had fun with this game and will keep having fun with it. At least until they will grow out of it once they'll grow older.
Izuku smiled at Y/N, "It was really fun!"
"Yeah." Y/N agreed with him, smilling back.
Izuku crossed his small arms a bit, "You really put everything you had into your villain persona today, Y/N! You really felt like a villain today!"
Y/N rubbed the back of his head, smilling a bit sheepishly, "Really? If you say so. I suppose I just learned how to play this role with how many times I played a villain. The same goes for you playing a hero."
Izuku's smile grew at Y/N's praise, "Thanks, Y/N! I'm really trying to prepare myself for the hero I will be once I'll grow up."
"Yeah." Y/N nodded at him, his smile slowly fading away from his face.
Izuku took notice of it and looked at him with a small concern, "What is it, Y/N?"
Y/N tried to brush this off, "Nothing."
Izuku's concern remained on his face as he pushed further, "Come on, Y/N! You know you can tell me anything!"
Y/N sighed, giving him his answer, "I just don't like how I'm always losing. Can I play hero for a change or can we do something to make me as a villain win for once?"
Izuku nodded in understanding and smiled at him, "Sure."
Y/N looked suprised by it, "Really? I thought you will be..."
Izuku smiled and nodded in confirmation, "It's a game, Y/N. It's not like villains will win in real life and heroes will always defeat them. Right?"
Y/N nodded back at him, beginning to smile back at him, "Right."
"You know you don't have to struggle with what you're saying to me. You can tell me anything." Izuku pointed out to him, keeping his smile on his face, "We're best friends, right? We're always be there for each other and nothing will split our friendship apart. Right?"
Y/N fully smiled back at his best and only friend, "Yeah!"
------
Time seemed to slow down for Y/N and Izuku as they looked directly into each eyes, both of them forgetting about all the chaos and destruction happening around them. Both of them eyed each other appearances and saw the states they were in right now and could see how battered they were after everything they went through today even more now that they were standing in front of each other and were directly facing each other for the first time in what felt like forever.
The two old friends remained like this for the next several seconds as neither of them knew how to start his conversation. Even if Y/N came down here from Gigantomachia's back to talk with Izuku in the first place and even if Izuku wanted to have this conversation with Y/N for a long time, neither of them knew how to start it when the time for it actually came. Neither of them expected this conversation to happen today as well and it made starting it for them harder.
Izuku broke the silence between them as he began to say to Y/N, "Y-Y/N I..."
"We need to talk." Y/N cut him off, wanting to go straight to the point and showing Izuku he had the same intention of having a conversation as him.
"Yeah. We do." Izuku nodded in agreement. A part of him felt happy Y/N wanted to talk with him. It meant he won't have to convince him to have this conversation with him. It just made everything easier to him. He once again eyed the state his friend was in and set his eyes on the scar going across Y/N's face, "Y/N. I just don't know how to begin all of this. It's been so long since I had a proper conversation with you. Y-You look terrible. The scar on your face. You didn't have it back when we fought Overhaul. What has the League done to you to make you have it?"
Y/N raised his brow at Izuku being all convinced his scar came from someone from the League, "What?"
"Y/N. I don't even want to imagine what you were going through out there with all of thise dangerous villains surrounding you. You must have had to watch out for yourself for every second with them." Izuku stated, failing to notice how Y/N's questioning expression shifted into a cold one as he went further into what he had to say to him, "Y/N. I'm so sorry for what happened back in Aldera High the last time I saw you. I could see there was something off about you when we parted ways and yet I didn't do anything. I just allowed you to walk away. I'm sorry for not noticing there was something off going on between you and your parents. All the possible red flags were out there and I failed to notice them until it too late for me to do anything..."
Y/N silently stared at Izuku, keeping his expression cold from what Izuku told him a few seconds earlier about the League giving him his scar. What he said about him having to watch himself around the League even if that was far from the truth had it's part in him as well. Even if his face was completely cold right now, his mind was slowly becoming filled with thoughts. Did Izuku just apologized to him for what happened with his parents? Why would he apologize to him for the stuff regarding his parents. It's not like he could do anything in this situation
If there was something Izuku could apologize to him about, then he could think of something he could apologize to him for and it had nothing to do with his parents. It had something to do with Izuku keeping to protect Bakugo and keeping the truth about him away from everyone. Even after everything. Despite this, Y/N felt a small depth of hope within him regarding the matter with Endeavor. If he felt like apologizing to him about him parents even if he didn't have to, then there no way he would have hidden the truth about Endeavor if he knew about it due to knowing how terrible it would be. Right?
Izuku took notice of Y/N's silent reaction to his words and saw this as an opportunity to voice his thoughts further, "I can't imagine how terrible and alone you must have felt on the day when we saw each other for the last time. I really wish I was there for you. Just like you were there for me when you supported me and my dreams. I wish you didn't feel like becoming a villain was the only option for you. I wish you didn't became a villain in the first place. I really wish you didn't have to make yourself do all of those things."
Y/N remained silent as he listened to everything Izuku had to say to him. He couldn't help but ask himself, though. Did Izuku thought he really made himself do all of those things? He didn't make himself do any of them. He did them because he had to and would do everything he did to get this point again if he had to. For as long as it would get him closer to accomplishing his goal. Aside from not taking care of Hawks earlier, he never got any seconds thoughts about everything he was doing with the League as well.
Izuku kept looking directly into Y/N"s eyes as proceed to tell him everything he's been wanting to tell him ever since he learned his friend was the Mask, "I know you decided to become a villain, because you think the society needs to change and convinced yourself needs to do all of those things to accomplish your goal. You don't want people to suffer the way you did and I can understand it as I went through the same. This isn't the way of accomplishing it. You don't need to be a villain if you want to create a world where people won't have to go suffer like you did."
Y/N once again remained silent, not giving Izuku any answer to what he was saying to him right now. Something about Izuku's words felt oddliy similiar to him. This wasn't a way of accomplishing it? He had lost the count of how times times someone told him this. First it was Hawks back in the mansion and then some others day, including Izuku. If this wasn't a way of achieving his goal, then what was the way? Despite hearing about this some many times, he wasn't offered an alternative even once.
"You don't have to do all these things to achieve your goal. I know you Y/N and I know you are a good person. I know you can do it a better and correct way." Izuku continued as Y/N narrowed his eyes for him, "There are many people out there who believe you're not a good person due to everything you did as the Mask, but I know you can prove them otherwise. You can start proving them wrong by finally getting the help you need. You can get the help from the others. Others that care about you! You don't have to be a villain."
Y/N's eyes narrowed further at Izuku, his glare becoming more evident as he clenched his hand as it slowly began to shake from the anger he was slowly to feel in himself. People who cared about him? Izuku really told him people on the hero side care about him? Who cared about him there? He didn't know anyone from it aside from him and Bakugo and Bakugo was somewhere far away from someone who cared about him. In fact. His relationship with Bakugo was anything but caring.
Some other words from Izuku's caught Y/N's attention as well. He mentioned something to him about finally getting the help he needed. Y/N shook his head to himself at this. He didn't need any help. Not anymore. He needed it back in the junior high. He didn't need t as he got it from the League. People who actually cared about him. Unfortunely Izuku refused to ackowledge this or even think it was a possiblity. Him thinking Y/N got his scar only reassured him in this.
Izuku failed to notice how Y/N seemed to become more angry with each word he uttered to him as he reached his hand out towards him, smilling slightly despite the battered state he was in at the moment and looked at Gareh with a hopeful look on his face, "This is why I want to you let know this Y/N. It's not too late to back away from it all. You can still be a hero. We can still be heroes together. You and me. We can protect this world together."
Y/N looked at Izuku's hand in shock, having a hard time believing what just happened. Even after all of the things he's done as the Mask. Even after everything that happened today, Izuku just offered to save him. Was this why Izuku's classmated or at least Momo tried to talk with him earlier? The h/c haired boy started to wonder if Izuku would still offer to save him if he knew about everything Y/N did back at the mansion before Gigantomachia's awakening or what he did to his classmates when he went down to collect Origami.
He shifted his gaze away from Izuku's hand and looked straight into his friends eyes, giving him the answer he was waiting for, "I'm afraid."
Izuku nodded, moving his hand a bit closer to him, "I know you are. Help us now. There's still a chance to make things right."
Y/N shook his head, seeing Izuku misunderstanding what he meant with his words, "No. I'm afraid it's too late. I'm staying where I am now with the League."
Izuku's eyes widened as he looked both heartbroken and suprised by his rejection. He didn't answer to Y/N"s rejection right away. It was like he had hard time believing his friend had just rejected his offer of saving him from the life of villainy, "...What?"
"You heard me right." Y/N confirmed what he had just said to him, not denying it even for a second, "I said no. I'm not going to leave the League just because you asked me to."
Izuku struggled to find the right answer to this as if Y/N's rejection was something he didn't see coming, "I-I don't get it. Why would you reject this? Why would you keep being a villain even if I offered you a way out. A way of where you don't have to make yourself do all of those terrible things! You're not a bad person. You saved Weaponsmith from whatever she was going through in her household. You helped Eri. You took care of her and told her she's not a curse. You helped me defeat Overhaul and risked your life just to make sure she'll be safe from him. You did this because you're a good person! Do you know what Eri said to me after we rescued her and she finally started smilling? She asked us to save you! She doesn't view you as a villain. You're her hero. She even you wrote a..!"
"You really want to explain? I thought I made my point more than clear when we interacted back when the League attacked the USJ." Y/N cut Izuku off before his friend could finish what he was saying to him and before he could pull out a letter he had kept close to himself ever since Eri gave him, "I'm doing this because it has to be done. There are problems with this society which need to be ackowledged and taken care of. I would have never become a villain if it wasn't for those problems and the same goes for the rest of the League. The worst part about it is that the fact that the heroes will never ackowledge them and will keep on ignoring them. They already made it clear earlier to me today when I tried talkng with them about it and all they could talk about in return was some heroic bullshit. What makes it even worse is the fact that you are a part of this problem too."
Izuku looked shocked by the accusation, "W-What?"
Y/N wasted no time when it came to denying his words, "You heard me right. It pains to me say this to the only person who didn't treat me like a person of inferior quality before I became the Mask, but it is true. You admire heroes so much to the point of refusing to acknowledge their flaws. You are always willing to brush aside despicable behavior of some people which would fit the one of a villain just because they want to become heroes or are already heroes. Look at Bakugo for example. You always brushed aside the way he treated both of us and admired him, despite him treating you look shit."
Izuku wasted no time and retorted to his words, "Y/N. I know what Kacchan did was terrible and I know it hurt you, but he regrets what happened between both of you and wants to put it behind you! He genuinely wants to help you and atone for what happened! Just give it a chance and you'll see how things have changed since the last time you saw him!"
"He feels bad about it? How great! How fucking great! That's makes everything fine, then! It makes up for ten whole years of ruining my life and making it miserable, because of the way I was born! He did the same to you in case you forgot! It makes it fine that I almost killed myself because of him!" Y/N said with sarcasm evident in his voice. A hint of anger about Izuku making an excuse for Bakugo. Again, "There's one problem about him and his regrets, though. I don't care if he feels sorry about it."
He clenched his hand more as he didn't stop there and voiced his thoughts on Bakugo further, "Maybe I would feel differently about it if he suffered any consequences for it! But he didn't! He got away from it with a slap on his wrist. The only consequences he ever received was the beating I gave him back in Camino Ward! Do you want to know why I beat him up the way I did! Because he said it was my fault for wanting to jump off the roof! That son of a bitch had an audacity to say to me all of it was my fault and I just exploded at him! Even now I feel like it was nothing compared to what he deserved and looking back I wouldn't even allow our plan to include taking him to us!"
He moved his unclenched hand towards Izuku and poked his shoulder in it, "This isn't even the only time when you defended him, despite everything he did and the way he was treating you and me! Even if he regrets it, you still didn't told your classmates about it! I had a talk with them earlier today and they didn't know anything about what he did! Why didn't you tell them about it? Oh wait! I think I know why! It's because you were always too busy admiring him for some reason! Why? Why did you admire him the way you do? What made you so blind to see how much he was hurting you? The way he was hurting me? Someone who actually was your friend for all of those years and never once mistreated you?"
Izuku looked directly into Y/N's eyes and saw how hurt he seemed by it. Everything Y/N was saying to him must have been something he was keeping in himself for a long time. The dark green haired boy stuttered out his answer a second later, "I-I admired him for the same reason I admire All Might. Bakugo was always really brave and a strong person. He always strived to become a hero..."
"See? Exactly my point!" Y/N told him, "As long as someone strives to be a hero, you brush off all the messed up they do, because it's okay when a hero does it! ! Heroes can do more without getting judged for it, because they save people and they definitely are doing this to keep saving them. Am I right? Even if the person was hurting someone who supposed to be your friend! You apologized to me for being unable to notice all the signs in me for all this time. Maybe you would actually notice them if you weren't too busy admiring the same guy who wasn't tormenting us?!"
"Y/N. Just allow me..." Izuku tried to say. Y/N was having none of it, though. Words couldn't describe how displeased and disappointed he was with Izuku and he intended to make sure Izuku knew about it. It was when a certain question popped into his mind. He knew it was a perfect time to ask him about this.
"What about Endeavor?" The h/c haired boy didn't allow him to say anything, going further into his cold rant as he pointed towards the number one hero in the distance who continued to look up at Dabi with a look of horrified shock written over his face. Even though he was too certain about what he was going to say, something on the back of his head was telling him it was the case in this situation, "You worked with him recently, haven't you? I saw it in a article a while back. Tell me. Did you knew about the stuff he put his family through? Whatever it was?"
Izuku felt the air starting to leave his lungs when Y/N brought this up, "Y-Y/N I..."
"It's a yes or no question. Answer me. I want to hear your answer. Right fucking now." Y/N demanded to know from him. From the sound of his voice, he sounded like he wanted Izuku to tell him he didn't know about it. Because it was the truth. He desperately wanted Izuku not to know about this until now.
Izuku flinched at the tone of his voice and stayed silent, lowering his head as he refused to give Y/N his answer or to even look at him.
Y/N nodded in understanding, taking Izuku's silence as the only answer he needed to get from him. When he spoke up to him again, Izuku could feel the hurt, disgust and betrayal in his voice. However no other feeling was more evident in his voice than disappointment. Pure and utter disappointment, "You knew. You fucking knew about it and did nothing with this information? Why? Because Endeavor is a hero? You knew about an abuse case and did nothing about it because the abuser was a hero!?
"Y-Y/N. Just wait. I couldn't say anything.." Izuku began to say, trying to salvage this conversation in any way he could as it was going much differently than from what he expected and thought would happen.
Y/N ignored his words, having something he had to say to Izuku and he intended to make sure Izuku heard all of this, "Shut up. Shut the hell up. You couldn't say anything? Why? Because you were too afraid how will people react when their beloved Endeavor will turn out to be no better than villain he is fighting with? I can't actually believe you knew about Endeavor being an abuser and did jack shit about it. You know it's like? It's like you were defending my parents for the way they treated me my whole life because they were lawyers and were helping people by giving them law advice!"
Izuku felt all the words he has to say to Y/N dying hin his throat. As much as he wanted to deny it and as much as he didn't want to admit this, he couldn't help but feel like there was some truth in Y/N's words. Not saying anything about Endeavor's abuse really felt like he was defending Y/N's parents, "Y/N. Just let me explain it to you. Endeavor's situation was different from what happened between you and your parents..."
Y/N glared at him, noticing Izuku's silence and allowed himself to go a bit further, "What was different about it? Was Endeavor's abuse a better type of abuse due to him being a hero? Was this enough of you to keep silent about it? Or maybe everyone around you decided to keep it swept under the rug for one reason or another. Don't even tell me there was nothing you could do about it! Unlike in my parents's case, you could have done something about it! You could have told All Might since he gave you his Quirk!"
Izuku's eyes widened further when Y/N brought up All Might giving him his power, "W-What?"
Y/N wasted no time and nodded in confirmation, "Yeah. I know about One For All. The doctor told me about it a few months ago. It explains why you got a Quirk all of a sudden as well. I was convinced you were a late bloomer until then. It's kind of ironic both of us ended up receiving our Quirks from someone else, don't you think?"
"Yeah." Izuku agreed with him. Even though he disliked the way this conversation was going and how hurt he was by everything Y/N was telling him right now, he had to admit Y/N was right. All of it was a cruel irony. It was almost as if the world wanted to play a cruel joke on them. He saw the mention of this as a chance of trying to convince Y/N to change his mind, "That's why you should stop with all this Y/N. With this power you have the chance to achieve your way in a better and the right way of doing it. Don't waste the chance you were given by being a villain!"
"The right way?" Y/N raised his brow at the mention of this, "What is the right way according to you? Keeping up the same broken system which created me? Which created the League? You already showed me what is the right way to you and this isn't something I'm going to stand with!"
"Do you really want to stick with your way?" Izuku asked, "What about all the people you will hurt with it. See what happened today! So many people were hurt and lst because of what the League did! Do you really want to associate yourself with people like them. You are better than that! I know you wouldn't want anyone innocent to get hurt!"
"I didn't want them to get hurt! This is why I came up with an idea of making sure it won't happen!" Y/N pointed out, throwing his arms up to gesture towards all the destruction around them, "All of this around us. All this destruction. It wouldn't have happen. Our plan was supposed to make things as clean as possible as we wanted to fix everything! Not destroy it! It still wasn't enough for you as Hawks killed Twice and Tengai-kun! Just to let you know. It happened before any of this started! You heroes drew the first blood here!"
Izuku's eyes widened at this information. The number two hero killed two members of the League? He had no idea this happened, "Y/N. I can see what happened between Hawks and them makes you angry, but I wouldn't write this off as some despicable right away. I-I'm sure Hawks did everything he could in this situation to...!
Y/N felt a sudden wave of anger go through his body when Izuku tried to come up with something to defend Hawks and did something he never imagined himself doing. He punched Izuku. Punched him in the face. The anger that he felt when Izuku tried to defend and justify Hawks for killing two of his friends was enough to make him finally lose his cool and punch him. Izuku landed on the ground, looking up at Y/N in disbelief as he saw Y/N's fist shaking in anger. The green haired boy looked up at Y/N, stunned by what his friend just did.
"Here we fucking go again." The h/c haired boy began, his eyes staring angrily at Izuku who tried to justify what happened to Twice and Tengai. From how his fist was shaking, Izuku knew Y/N was stopping himself from doing something further, "Defending someone's actions because they are a hero. I'm certain if Hawks wasn't a hero, then you wouldn't even think about defending him. Like you wouldn't keep the truth about Endeavor a secret. You mentioned something about being saved by people who care about me. I don't need saving as I was already saved when I needed it. I was brought into a group of people who care about me and I care about them."
Y/N went further into his words, having no intention of stopping and having intention of voicing all of his thoughts to Izuku, "They're my family. They're everything to me. The time I spent with them was the happiest time of my life. I'm way happier with them than I was ever before in my life as they don't hang out around someone who treats them like shit for most of the time, because of some bullshit reason. I was finally surrounded by people who care about me and don't treat me like shit. But you don't care about it, right? For you. My friends from the League aren't even humans. Am I right? You trying to justify Hawks killing two of them gave me a perfect example of it.
Izuku blinked, seeing the way Y/N's tone changed when he talked about the League. When he talked about them, his voice actually softened up and he sounded genuinely hurt when he talked about what Hawks did to Twice and Tengai, "Y/N. Even if the League is important to you, how do you know they're not using you? How can you know All For One is not using you? All For One is not someone who would reach out to you from the good of his heart. He must be using you..."
"Really? How are you so sure?" Y/N asked, looking offended by the suggestion of the League using him, "You don't know anything about the League and yet you accuse them of using me. Is it really his hard for you to accept the fact that the League are humans as well and aren't some pure evil people everyone is trying to make them look to be. The villains are humans too, you know. Even if it's this hard for you to see." His tone turned more angry, "What you did to Tomura-kun more than showed me it to me."
"Shigaraki was dangerous. We had to do something to stop him." Izuku pointed out. What he immediately took notice of was they way Y/N referred Shigaraki. He called him by his first name. It's something Y/N had never done when it came to him, "Aren't you seeing all this destruction around us? He caused all of this. Do you know how many people would die in it if it wasn't for us evacuating them earlier?"
"Yeah. It happened because you attacked us and Tomura-kun fought back." Y/N pointed out in return, "You weren't expecting us to just sit down and allow us to capture you, right? All of it. All the destruction around us. It's all on your heads. Not ours."
Izuku shook his head, "Y/N. You can't blame us for any of us for it."
"Yeah. I can and I will." Y/N nodded at him, not backing down in his words, "You told me how the League is doing bad things and how all of this destruction around us was made by Tomura-kun. If that's the case, then how about all the stuff about me? I did terrible things as well and yet you don't seem to care about it. Or rather you don't want to see it for yourself and are refusing to admit I'm not the same person I was back in Aldera." He pointed towards his blood covered vest, "Are you seeing this blood here or were you refusing to see it? This blood. It isn't mine. It's of all the heroes I killed today. Do you know how many people I killed today? Over twenty for all I know."
Izuku's eyes widened, "W-What?"
"Yeah. You heard me right." Y/N confirmed without a hint of hesitation in his voice, "I killed over twenty heroes today. You heroes forced me to do it. I didn't want this and wanted to play nice. Me trying to play nice didn't seem to matter to you, though and I had to do it."'
Izuku looked at Y/N with shock written over his face, looking like he had a hard time processing this information. What caught his attention was Y/N's absolute lack of remorse when he admitted to it. When he looked at Y/N after processing this information, he looked at him like he looked at a complete stranger, "Y-Y/N. You really did this? You're not lying to me?"
"Why would I lie about it?" Y/N asked in return. His tone once again lacked any remorse for what he did.
Izuku looked at him with a hurt look on his face, "Y/N. What did you do?"
"I did what had to be done to protect my friends and fought back after two of them were killed. Even if me and my friends wanted to play nice." Y/N gave him an honest answer, "Isn't that what a hero is supposed to do? To protect the ones they care about?"
"N-Not like that!" Izuku pointed out to him, stuttering in his words due to the shock he was in right now, "Heroes aren't supposed to kill..."
"Really? Tell it to Hawks who started it all by killing Jin and Tengai-kun or tell it to everyone who burned Tomura-kun. You claim to have the moral ground over us even if you are no better than us.." Y/N pointed out. He shot Izuku one last look and began to turn away from them, "That's enough. I'm done with this conversation. You already told me everything I wanted to know. I really wanted things to go differently. In both our operation and between us.
"Y/N. Just wait..." In desperate attempt to stop him from leaving, Izuku reached into his pocket and pulled out an envelope. It was something he was keeping close to himself ever since he received from a certain young girl.
Y/N stopped in his action for a second and looked at the envelope with a confused look on his face, "What is this?"
"A letter. From Eri." Izuku explained, making Y/N's eyes widen at it at the mention of Eri as he kept holding it out to Y/N, "If you ain't gonna go with us, then at least take it with you. Maybe it will help you rethink your decision. Just think about her. Please..."
Y/N stared at the letter in his hand for a second before putting it away in his vest, intending to leave it for later. He looked at Izuku for one last time, having one last question he wanted to ask him, "Tell me something before we part ways, Midoriya. You seem so insistent about saving me. Even after I told you what I did today and how many lived I took. Tell me, then. Would you ever consider saving me if you didn't know me before I became the Mask or would you just write me off as another bad villain that you need to stop?"
Izuku stayed silent, having been left completely stunned by the question Y/N had just asked him as he wasn't expecting him to ask him something like this. Would he try to save Y/N if he didn't became the Mask. Of course he would. Y/N showed himself to be a good person whenever they interacted each other in the past as a hero and villain. He would still try to save him. Right? The dark green haired boy lowered his gaze to the ground, feeling this question flying in his head over again as he tried to ask himself what he would do in Y/N's case if he didn't knew him before he became the Mask.
"I see. Just like I thought." Y/N replied, taking Izuku's answer as the only answer he needed to get from him as his tone showed how he wasn't suprised by Izuku's answer. Everything Izuku had done in this conversation had only confirmed this more to him.
"Y-Y/N! Wait!" Izuku tried to call out for Y/N, seeing him moving away from him. It was to no avail, though as his words fell deaf on Y/N's ears. There was one thing he noticed in Y/N before his friend turned away from him and started to make his back to Gigantomachia's back where the rest of the League stil resided. His friend had tears in his eyes or at least was teary eyed and looked seconds away from breaking into sobs.
Y/N shook his head and blinked away from his tears, making them vanish from his eyes as he knew it wasn't the time to get emotional and teary. He will unleash those emotions when he and the rest of the League will be somewhere safe. Away from all the heroes surrounding them right now. He just wanted to go somewhere where he'll lay down and finally end this horrible day. In fact. A part of him still hoped all of it was horrible nightmare and he will wake up in his room in the mansion with Origami next to him.
As he continued to make his way towards Gigantomachia's back, he shifted his attention towards where Dabi used to stand a second earlier as he heard him loudly crying out for Endeavor. He saw him jumping down from Gigantomachia's back, igniting his flames and his body slowly became surrounded by flames as he headed right towards Endeavor. But before he could unleash his powerful attack, he was immobilized by wires that fell from the sky and wrapped themselves around the battlefield.
"What the...?" Dabi asked in a mixture of suprise and confusion, having felt the wires getting wrapped around him as he wasted no time and instantly looked up. Y/N looked up as well, finding himself in the same position as Dabi and both of them caught the sight of Best Jeanist.
"Sorry, I'm late. As of this moment, Best Jeanist is back." The number three hero declared, descending from the sky towards the battlefield.
Y/N's eyes widened at the view of him, having not been expecting this to happen as he tried to free himself from the clutch of the wires, knowing he couldn't use his Quirk like this. He shifted his gaze away from Best Jeanist a second later and shifted it to Gigantomachia and the rest of the League, wanting to know how their situation was like. Much to his dismay, he saw Gigantomachia pinned down to the ground and it left him thinking everyone else must have been restrained as well.
He looked back at Best Jeanist a second later, shaking his head at how things turned out right now, "Shit..."
"There's no way. You're supposed to be dead!" Dabi pointed out to Best Jeanist with suprised evident on his face, "The corpse I saw with Mustard was real! So how the hell are you alive?"
"Greed has caused your plans to fall apart, like cheap denim." Best Jeanist pointed out in return, making Dabi click his tongue in irritation.
"Okay, fine, you're not dead." Dabi grunted, igniting his blue flames again as the blue fire began to cover his body, consuming the wires wrapped around him, "That doesn't make my past any less real. Right? You saw it yourself. Shoto!"
His words enranged Todoroki, causing him to move to punch his brother as blue and orange flames clashed with each other, countering themselves. As all of this continued to happen, Origami, Magne, Spinner, Mr. Compress and Shigaraki found themselves lifted up from Gigantomachia a bit as all of them were restrained by the wires. The group of five villains was above the ground right now, all of them finding themselves in a small distance from each other. Or at least most of them were in a small distance from each other as Spinner and Shigaraki had the same wire wrapped around each other, the former feeling their bodies pressed against each other.
Mr. Compress grunted in pain, "This can't be happening. He was able to trap Machia?"
"Too tight." Spinner said, feeling his body pressed against Shigaraki's as he was behind him, "My bones're gonna snap!"
"I think I'm gonna be sick!" Origami shouted, finding herself feeling nauseous again as she looked around them, trying to locate Minene, Daiki, Kizuki and Skeptic anywhere as she and the others lost the sight of them after Best Jeanist made his entrance.
Mr. Compress shook his head with a pained look underneath his mask, looking towards BEst Jeanist, "What an unexpected and most unwelcome cameo..."
"You're telling me..." Magne agreed with him, having a hard time breathing right now, "So much for Machia being unstoppable..."
Spinner looked up at Gigantomachia, seeing him unmoving even with all the stuff happening around him right now and slowly figured out how the massive villain worked. He looked down at Shigaraki a second later, "Shigaraki, enough sleeping. You're still alive in there, right? You better start talking. Tell Machia what to do! You haven't lived your dream yet. There's still so much left to do before we'll make reset a reality!"
Origami looked up and saw Nejire appearing behind him, preparing to strike Shigaraki to finish him off. Even though she knew it would be futile due to them being unable to move, she cried out, "Spinner! Watch out...!"
"Wake him up! We're running out of time!" Magne shouted, feeling herself becoming more desperate with each passing second due to the lack of options they had other than somehow waking Shigaraki up right now.
"I'm trying! I'm sorry Shigaraki! You made me do this! Wake up!" Spinner shouted as he wasted no time and made his move. Out of desperation, he bite Shigaraki's head in an attempt of waking him up.
"Output level 100. Spiraling flood. Nejire Flood!" Nejire shouted, now more than ready to unleash her attack on Shigaraki. However, before she could do anything she was engulfed by blue blames. A good portion of her blue hair was burned away as a result of this as she knocked away by the flames, screaming in pain as she did so. Everyone watched what just happened in horror.
"Uh-oh, Endeavor! You let somebody get burned again! Another kid with a bright future ruined thanks to you!" Dabi laughed with a grin on his face, his voice filled with glee as a wounded Nejire plummeted to the ground. Seeing what was happening, Iida instantly jumped into action and moved forward to catch Nejire before she could hit the ground. It was when Dabi freed himself from Best Jeanist wires as he had burned through them with his fkames, much to Todoroki's horror.
"Damn it, stop!" Todoroki shouted, pleading with his brother as Best Jeanist tried to wrap the wires around Dabi again. It was to no avail, though as Dabi easily kept himself from being restrained with his burning body. As all of this happened, Y/N continued with his attempts at freeing himself from the wires and doing something here. The effect was unfortunely nonexistent, though.
"See them..." Shigaraku muttered under his breath, gaining attention of Spinner, Origami, Magne and Mr. Compress as all four of them immediately set their eyes on him. They saw him moving his mouth, looking like he was saying something. However, none of them could understand what he was saying due to how quiet his words were, "I want to see them. I want to see my brother. I want to see my family..."
Spinner looked at him with a mixture of relief and suprise in his voice, "Shigaraki?"
"Machia. Bring them to me. Allow me to see them. Don't let anything stop you..." Shigaraki finished what he was saying, his voice becoming more audible and allowing Spinner and Gigantomachia hear him. The massive villain's eyes glowed, letting out a roar. As the giant struggled with his bounds, the wires started breaking. Best Jeanist used all his might to try and keep the the massive villain in place, but Gigantomachia continued to resist.
Todoroki paid no attention to Gigantomachi, having completely focused himself on Dabi as he clashed with his brother, "You pushed those villains to attack our family? One of them almost killed Natsu. Why, Toya? You used to cry to him. What happened to you?"
"More than you could imagine, Shoto!" Dabi replied, fighing back against Todoroki's flames as his grin refused to leave his face, "Unlike you, I didn't forget about what he did once things started going my way! I'm not allowing Endeavor get away with a slap on his wrist!"
Todoroki flinched a bit at his words and asked him,"What if Natsu'd been murdered?"
Dabi shrugged it off, "Endeavor would've suffered if it happened! It's not like it would happen! Endeavor would always swoop in to save him and get cheers of everyone! A hero saving his son! He wouldn't pass up such opportunity! Am I right?"
Todoroki glared at him, beginning to tear up, "You've gone completely insane!"
"So what if I did?" Dabi retorted with his grin becoming more maniacal, "Your long-lost brother coudn't feel anything for years since he burned down!"
"Don't do this! Toya!" Todoroki pleaded, feeling Dabi's flames slowly overcoming his as his tears were becoming more visible and evident with each passing second.
Dabi didn't consider stopping for a second and began to push back against Todoroki, "But I've waited so long to kill you!"
Spinner kept looking up at Gigantomachia, keeping encouraging him as the massive villain continued with his attempts of freeing himself from Best Jeanist's grasp, "That's it Machia. You heard the boss's order! Don't let anything stop him from seeing who he wants to see!"
Mr. Compress glanced to the side his and saw something in the distance. He narrowed his eyes a bit and saw someone or rather someone heading right towards them, "Guys! Take a look at this!"
"What do you mean?" Magne looked in the direction Mr. Compress had been looking towards right now. She got her answer a second later and saw not one but four Near High End Nomus moving towards them from the distance, "It's the Nomus!"
Origami smiled a second later, "Yes!"
"Plot twist! Fortune shines on us." Mr. Compress stated in a pleased tone, happy by this sudden arrival as Y/N silently smiled at the view of this. If the Nomus would distract Best Jeanist and gave him a chance to free himself, then he would be finally able to do something here instead of doing nothing like he did since Best Jeanist's arrival. In the moments like this, he really wished getting bounded like this wouldn't made him unable of using his Quirk.
His hopes of Best Jeanist getting distracted were quickly slashed as Lemillion emerged from the ground and punched Nomu, "Power!"
"Dammit. It's him again..." Y/N muttered under his breath, hating how Lemillion arrived just in time to stop the Nomus from doing anything, going against all four of them all at once.
Doing his best to keep the Nomus away from Best Jeanist, Mirio entered the ground for a few moments before reappearing and the Nomu quickly recovered from what just happened and proceeded to shoot projectiles at him in order to get him out of their way from Best Jeanist, but they went right through Lemillion who put his power to good use. It was when their attention went right back to Best Jeanist, focusing themselves on their target instead of someone who was standing in their way to him.
Mirio looked around himself, knowing he will have trouble in taking care of all the four Nomus if he fought them all by himself and knowing he'll need some help with them, "Heya, somebody! Help!"
It was when explosion echoed throughout the battlefield. Y/N instantly felt his face darkening and his body getting filled with countless negative emotions, knowing who it was as he got more than used to those explosions over the course of his life. His suspicions of who it was were confirmed a moment later as Bakugo made his way to Mirio and aided him in his fight against the Nomus, helping him in protecting Best Jeanist.
More help arrived a second later as Nejire who was slightly burned by Dabi's flames, leaving marks on her body. Most of her long blue hair was burned away by them as well, leaving her with only a short portion of it. Nejire wasted no time and put her Quirk to good use, using Quirk in order to defeat all the Nomus. The state she was in got Mirio concerned, but Nejire brushed off his concerns as she was thinking more on how happy she was to see him enter the battfield than how weird it was to actually see him there.
Best Jeanist kept his eyes ahead of him, not allowing himself lose his attention on his target and adressed Bakugo, "Were you able to look beyond yourself, young Bakugo?"
"I chose a hero name. I wanted you to hear it in person first. From now on call me...Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight, got it?!" Bakugo smirked at Best Jeanist, revealing his hero name to everyone as if he wasn't descending to the ground right now and the reaction to the reveal of his hero name was pretty much unanimous to say the least
Best Jeanist, "Child!"
Iida, "So long!"
Nejire, "Big yikes."
Mr. Compress, "How crude!"
Spinner, "Lame."
Magne, "Really?"
Origami, "Super cringy."
Y/N, "Saw this coming from him."
Mirio was the only one with a positive reaction Bakugo's hero name as he laughed, "That's an awesome hero name! It's super funny.
"You take that back, you..." Bakugo's words died in his throat a second later as his eyes caught the sight of Y/N above the ground as he was kept in Best Jeanist's restrains. He caught the sight of the way Y/N looked at him, feeling the hatred and the anger Y/N felt towards him. As much as Bakugo didn't want to admit this, he felt a cold chill go down his spine as hit body hit the ground.
"Without joy and laughter to balance the sorrow, this world can't hope for a bright future." That's my motto." Mirio explained, landing in frontof Bakugo as Bakugo shifted his attention to him. The last thing he saw from Y/N before shifting his attention to Mirio was a small change in Y/N's behavior. For a split second, it looked like Y/N was slightly excited to see him here. The blond haired boy was pushed out of his thoughts a second later as he Mirio looked over his shoulder at him, "Be careful not to wear it out! Now then. It looks like the big bad is on the ropes. If we handle the rest a' these creeps, we'll be golden. Think your friends are having fun over there!"
Dabi ignored all the stuff going on around him between everyone and all the Nomus and lunged towards his brother, embracing him tightly as he intensified the ferocity of his flames, "You look distraught. I'm worried you're not enjoying yourself."
"Yeah, well, you either. Your body's burning up." Todoroki retorted in a strained voice.
"I'm glad you were raised to be a nice boy. Don't worry 'bout me. I'm not sure I've ever felt better." Dabi remarked, showing him how much he was loving every second of this moment as he shot Endeavor a quick glance and saw him standing frozen in one place, having not moved from his spot since Dabi's revelation, "Look at that face. You may be his little masterpiece, but you're about to be killed by his greatest failure." He began to laugh, getting all excited by this idea, "See how broken he is? It's too good! Shoto! Can you imagine the expression Dad'll have when he watches my flames melt the flesh off your blackened bones?"
Dabi didn't got a chance to put his plans into action as Blackwhip coiled around him. The scarred villain looked around himself, confused by what just happened and his eyes caught the sight of Izuku who had interruped their battle while floating in the air, "Blackwhip. Froppy Style!"
"Back off." Dabi glared at Izuku, taking care of the Blackwhip with his flames as Izuku stopped directly into front of him, "This fight is none of your business!"
Izuku glared back at him, nodding his head as he gave him his answer, "Yes it is! Todoroki is my friend. And Endeavor is my mentor. He made me stronger. The past never dies, sure. That's why...I'm watching Endeavor closely as he fights to be better. But you are not Endeavor!"
"You really are coming in his defense? Wow! The lengths you and your fellow go to defend your friends really are massive! Too bad you weren't stepping in like this when your own best friend was getting hurt by the guy you admire!" Dabi retorted, his smile eerie as Izuku stared at him silently. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw someone narrowing his eyes at Y/N and directed a small spray of fire towards the said person in order to free them, "That's right! Y/N shared all the details with us! Even though he tried to tell us he doesn't hold this against you, all of could feel just how much he is hurt by the fact that someone who was supposed to be his best friend was admiring the same guy who was tormenting them! By the way, I'm not the only who's displeased by what you said just now!"
Just as Izuku was about to ask him what he means by this, he was hit by something. A ball of red energy to be exact. Izuku was knocked to the ground because of it. The green haired pushed himself up from the ground and looked over his shoulder, seeing Y/N looking at him with an angry and disappointed look on his face, now free from Best Jeanist grasp because of Dabi's flames as he floated above the ground, red energy beginning to circle around him.
Y/N glared at Izuku, intending to show just how much he was displeased by Izuku right now, "See? This is what I was talking about in the first place! Even after all of that you're still going with the same shit over again! You're defending an abuser and singing praises for him in front of his victim just because the abuser is a hero and the victim is a villain!"
Izuku flinched at the tone of Y/N's voice and the way he looked at him. He never looked at him like this before, "Y/N..."
Y/N didn't allow Izuku to say anything as he didn't care about whatever explanation he had for it. He intended to voice all of his thoughts to him, "You know. There was a time I thought you'd be a hero who could bring change to this rotten society and work on fixing the flaws it has. Unfortunely I was wrong. You're just like the rest of them." What he said next completely broke Izuku on the inside, "You're a fucking fake. A fake hero and more importantly a fake friend who cares more all this heroic crap he's been sold than his own friend."
Izuku felt how all of those words felt like someone stabbed him through the chest. Hearing those words from someone who always supported his dreams just hurt. It hurt so much, "Y-Y/N."
"Shut the fuck up. Don't talk with me. I thought we were friends but looks like I was wrong. You clearly aren't my friend as you care more about this heroic crap and people who strive to be heroes and or already heroes than me or our friendship." Y/N cut him off, tired of him making excuses for whatever questionable actions done by the heroes.
Izuku looked at Y/N with an utterly hurt look on his face, knowing what he meant with his words. Needless to say. It was more than enough to make him tear up, "W-What?"
"You heard me right." Y/N told him, not backing down on his words as he shifted his gaze away from Izuku to Dabi and looked at him with a grateful look on his face, "Thanks for freeing me."
Dabi nodded at him, his grin remaining on his face almost as if it was sculpted on it, "I saw the way you looked at the shithead from U.A when he declared his hero name. I felt like you have something in mind for him and I felt curious enough to see it."
"I see." Y/N nodded back at him, shifting his gaze to Bakugo who was laying in the distance as he adjusted his clothes a bit and felt a certain small box in the inside pocket of his vest. Not wasting any time, he began to float his way towards him, "Now if you'll excuse me..."
Dabi laughed seeing Y/N moving towards Bakugo, "Go ahead, kid! Let's show everyone who wronged us in the past that the past never dies! Let's show it will come back to bite you in the ass, no matter how much you want to bury it and leave it forgotten!"
"Yeah." Y/N agreed with Dabi, proceeding to make his towards Bakugo as it was exactly what he intended to do.
"The Mask has been freed!" Best Jeanist reported, making sure everyone on the battlefield would be aware of this as he moved the wires towards Y/N, intending to restrain Everyone! Do your best to restrain him...!"
Dabi wasted no time and used the flames on the wires heading towards Y/N, burning them away, "I don't think so! You better should focus on me as we have some unfinished business!"
The h/c haired boy made his way to him a second later and landed in front of him, paying no attention to everything else going, "Hey. It's been a while. Hasn't it?"
Bakugo looked up at him, "L/N..."
"Yup. That's me." Y/N said, keeping his voice cold as Bakugo could see the hatred in his eyes from up close, "I have to say. You healed nicely from the beating I gave you back in Camino Ward."
"Listen. I just want to talk with you." Bakugo told him.
"Talk?" Y/N scowled at him, "What do we have to talk about? What was to be said between us was said back in Camino Ward."
Bakugo wasted no time and explained to Y/N what he had to say to him, keeping his eyes on the villain in front of him, "I just want you to know how sorry I am for what I did to you. I had always looked down on you because you were Quirkless. It was caused due to how I felt about Deku. Ever since he helped me one day after he helped me once, I kept feeling like he got ahead of me and this feeling spread to the other Quirkless people as well. It included you. By acting the way I did, it gave me a sense of superiority. I've been picking on Deku to stay away from him and you got caught up in it..."
Y/N listened to him silently, keeping his expression stone cold as kept listening to Bakugo. Bakugo saw this as an opportunity and went further into what he was saying to him, "When I saw you as the Mask and after we had our conversation back in Camino Ward, I was left with a lot to think about. I wanted to deny this at first and tried to brush this off, but I realized you were right in everything you said to me. I created you. I created the Mask. My actions created the villain you became and I feel horrible whenever I think about it. This is why I want you to know how sorry I am for everything I did to you."
The h/c haired boy stared at him silently, looking like he was processing what Bakugo had just told him. He had a hard time believing what just happened. Did Bakugo just apologized to him? It wasn't something he ever expected to see. He gave him his reaction to his apology a second later, keeping his expression stone cold, "Wow."
Bakugo looked taken aback by his reaction, "Wow?"
Y/N explained what he meant with his reaction a second later, "You just suprised me a bit here. I can't believe you even make a fucking apology about yourself."
"What?" Bakugo asked, looking more taken aback by it.
"You keep talking in your apology on how all of it made you feel and yet you fail to ackowledge how I or even Midoriya must have felt!" Y/N pointed out, his cold expression becoming more angered as he glared directly at him, "If we're talking about our feelings, then how about I'll tell know how I feel? I feel nothing about your apology. I don't care about it. I don't give a shit how you feel. You know what I care about? I care about the fact that you never suffered any consequences and can be an asshole to everyone without ever paying for it!"
Bakugo's eyes widened at the hatred and anger radiating off of Y/N's tone. He knew he had no one else to blame himself for what he was seeing right now. He created the Mask, after all, "L/N. Even if you won't forgive, is there something I can do to make this right. To make you stop doing it...?"
"Do you really want to make it up to me?" Y/N asked in return, "Do you really want me to stop being the Mask?"
Bakugo wasted no time and gave his answer, "Yes. I'd do anything."
"Anything?" Y/N wanted to be sure.
Bakugo nodded desperately, "Anything."
Y/N gave him his answer a second later, "Take back the last ten years"
Bakugo continued to stare at him, "What are you...?"
"Take back the last ten years." Y/N hissed out,a dark glare rising over his features, "Undo every punch, every insult, every time you made me cry. Erase the nights when I cried myself to sleep, thinking how much I hate myself and how much I hate myself for being so useless. Take back the times I hated myself for being what I am, for not being something you and the others could not accept! Take away the knowledge of what true hopelessness feels like, what total desperation feels like, what it feels like to want to die!"
At that last bit, his voice dropped to a furious growl as Bakugo kept looking up at him. His expression actually began to grow more horrified by what was happening right now, "You know I can't."
"Yeah. You can't." Y/N nodded at him, "The same way you won't take away all the years of abuse and insults with a simple apology. The axe forgets, but the tree remembers. If you or Midoriya or anyone else ever thought I will forget what you did to me, then you were wrong and naive." Bakugo could have sworn he sensed a hint of excitement in Y/N's voice when he said, "I'll never forgive you for what you did to me and unlike everyone else, I'm not planning to let you go away with a slap on you wrist. I'm going to make sure you will regret what you did to me for every fucking second of your life from now on."
"What are you saying?" Bakugo asked, feeling himself growing more fearful and horrified by what was happening right now. If he was honest with himself, he couldn't remember the last time when he was this scared. The fear he felt back when the League kidnapped him was nothing compared to the fear he felt right now. What made everything worse to him was the fact that he couldn't use his Quirk due to how wounded he was.
"Let's just say I have a perfect way of making sure you will get everything you deserve. What I will do you right now will be just a great appetizer of what is to come." Y/N replied, his excitement of what was to come becoming more evident as he began to reach into his vest, intending to pull something out from the inside pocket of it. He was forced on this idea before he could pull out out of his vest, though.
"Nejire Flood!" Nejire's words rang through his ears as econd later, cutting him off in whatever he was planning to say to Bakugo. Before Y/N could do anything about this voice, he found himself getting knocked away by a shockwave as he was hit by it. The shockwave knocked him away from Bakugo and landed a few meters away from him.
Y/N clenched his teeth in pain upon landing on the ground, letting out a deep breath. Knowing he can't waste his time, he pushed himself up from the ground and looked around himself to get to know his situation a bit better. He saw three new people standing between him and Bakugo. The said people were Mirio, Iida and Nejire. He shifted his gaze between all three of them. If he was honest with himself, the blue haired girl was kind of cute. Even if won't admit it out loud.
The h/c haired boy set his eyes on Mirio a second later, "It's you."
"Yeah. It's been a while since we saw each other." Mirio told him, his eyes narrowed at Y/N as he was aware of what happened right now and he was not pleased, "I heard what you said to Midoriya back then. How could you say that to him? He wanted to save you and this is how you repayed him? Do you know how many people wanted to save you from this life? You really threw it all away like that..."
"You people are still going on with this saving crap?" Y/N glared at him, "You were really thinking I would abandon my friends after getting some kind of touchy talk from you? Were you thinking that I would abandon the only people who reached out to me when I was at my lowest? How fucking stupid you are if you thought I will actually agree for this?! Tell me! What would you do in my position!? Would you really abandon the people who accepted you and treated you well for a society that spat you out and treated you like a sub-human?
Mirio clenched his hand, "If I was in your position, then I know I would what's right! Some people don't feel like they belong in this world due to the way they were made due to their Quirk or lack of it. In fact. I was one of them. I didn't felt like I belonged because of my Quirk. It was more of a handicap to me."
"You would do what's right?" Y/N asked, 'What's right to you?"
"Protecting as many people as possible." Mirio gave him an honest answer, "You remember the conversation we had back in Overhaul's place? You told me something about me wanting to save millions of people. This is exactly what I am planning to do. I will always do it with a smile on my face to ensure them that it is alright!"
"Really?" Y/N raised his brow, beginning to slowly reach into his vest as he decided to use this situation to his advantage and play along with it. For now at least, "If people like me have to become villains to finally find themselves among people who don't treat them like shit, then let me tell you something. You and everyone else are doing a poor job at it."
Mirio kept his eyes narrowed at Y/N and replied, "I know. Sometimes heroes come too late and I'm sorry this happened to you. I know you were hurt by whatever happened to you and it caused you to become the way you did. I know you harbor a lot of rage towards the world because of it, but don't let let it consume you. The help you needed all this time ago is here now. Don't throw it all away, because of your anger! Don't throw away your life for it!"
"Exactly." Nejire nodded in agreement as Iida stayed silent, keeping his eyes narrowed at Y/N. The h/c haired boy continued to silently listen to them, reaching further into his vest, "Even if you and your cute face refused it earlier in the heat of the moment, it doesn't mean you can't change your mind now. Just open your eyes and make the right choice. You will get all the help you need if you'll come with us."
"It's never too late for anyone to become a hero, Y/N." Mirio began to smile at Y/N, taking his silence as Y/N beginning to reconsider their offer of saving him and finished everything off by saying. Nejire began to smile at Y/N as well and even Iida slowly began to lower his guard, thinking Y/N was actually listening to the voice of reason for once after seeing his silence and almost thoughtful expression on his face, "I will be a hero and will protect innocents, no matter what! I know you can do the samel! You showed it us when you risked your life to save Eri! You can show it to everyone! Show everyone who wronged you in the past that you are better than them and be a hero!"
Y/N looked down, gazing to the ground as his hand was fully burried in his vest right now. He looked up at Mirio, Nejire and Iida a second later and told them, "Thanks..."
Nejire fully smiled at him. She knew he and his cute face were better than that, "Alright! Great! I'm so happy you listened to us!"
"Now you can start..." Mirio began to say as Iida silently smiled at Y/N as well. Even though he one of the people who were against saving Y/N , he was happy he was wrong and Y/N actually turned out to be someone you can reason with. It was one of the few times when he was glad and proud to admit he was wrong. However, what they failed to realize at first was the fact that Y/N had something else in mind when he voiced his gratitude to them.
"No. I meant to say thanks for giving me all the time I needed to do this!" The h/c haired boy fully voiced what he meant a second later, cutting Mirio off mid-sentence. All three of them looked at him in confusion as Y/N quickly pulled out a red box from his vest before any of them could properly react to it.
What happened aftewards happened in the blink of an eye. Y/N wasted no time and opened the box, activating his Quirk and using his red energy to pull out a Quirk Erasing Bullet from it. Mirio, Nejire and Iida's felt their eyes shot open as soon as they saw it. All of them, especially Mirio, recognized what kind of bullet it was right away. Y/N wasted no time and tossed the bullet forward, using his Quirk to move it around and all three of them instantly jumped out of it's way to avoid getting hit by it.
What they failed to notice until now was the fact that the bullet wasn't meant for any of them...
It was meant for Bakugo...
A massive pleased grin began to form on Y/N face the moment he saw the bullet hit Bakugo. Words couldn't describe how much he enjoyed seeing what just happened. It was the most genuine smile he got out of himself in hours, "Look at yourself now, Bakugo! Who's a Quirkless mutt now?! What were you saying a few moments ago, Bakugo? What is your hero name? Something explosions Dynamight? Looks like nothing will come out of it now! It's time for you to finally get what you had coming for many years!"
Bakugo said nothing, feeling like his world was starting to fall apart the moment he saw the bullet hit him. He couldn't believe it happened. He just got hit with a Quirk Erasing Bullet. This couldn't be happening. He didn't just lost his Quirk. He didn't become Quirk. He just didn't. He couldn't become Quirkless. It would mean his life was over and his dreams of becoming a hero like All Might would never happen. All of it must have been a cruel joke Y/N did to mess with him.
In a desperate attempt of proving to himself all of it was a cruel joke from Y/N, he tried to activate his Quirk Even if he would wound himself more because of the state he was in right now, he desperately wanted to see his Quirk work. He hoped, prayed, an explosion would happen. Nothing happened, though. His Quirk didn't work. Even after he tried it again and again and again. He knew meant only one thing. The bullet worked. He really was Quirkless now...
Y/N didn't think about stopping his taunting of Bakugo and screamed to him more. Each second of this moment and each word uttered to Bakugo showed just how much he was enjoying himself and how much he savored every second of this moment, "By the way, Asano-kun told me about what you said about me when he and his partner asked you about me the day after I went missing and I have only one thing to say to you about it! FUCK YOU! You really thought I did all of this for attention a day after you told me to go kill myself!? Don't even get me started on the the audacity you had to say those words in the first place, you fucking Mutt!"
Bakugo continued to stay silent and didn't do anything anymore. He just laid there. Defeated. Defeated and utterly broken...
Dabi watched everything from where he was, taking care of all the attacks directed his way by Todoroki and making sure Best Jeanist won't try anything with Y/N all at the same time. The scarred villain smiled to himself in a pleased and impressed manner, "First the video recording and now this? Not bad, kid."
"You know what's the best part about it?" The h/c haired boy didn't stop with his taunts and went further with them. Everything about him continued to show just how much he enjoyed it, "The best part about it is that you have no one to blame but yourself! My attitude is a result of your actions if you don't like it, then you have no one to blame but yourself! What happened to you was something you brought on yourself! Hell! We could have been friends but no! You decided to be an asshole and make my miserable for some idiotic reason you came up with!"
Y/N could have sworn his grin was wider than he thought it was possible when he finished his taunting of Bakugo with, "You remember what I told you about wanting to have a normal life back in Camino Ward? My dream of having a normal life was killed by you so I decided to return the favor and killed you dreams of being a hero! Now you will have to watch everything from the background as your dreams fall apart right in front of you and you are unable to do anything about it! It's a perfect punishment for you! Don't you agree?!"
Iida collected himself from the shock of what just happened and set his eyes on Y/N, looking completely furious underneath his mask, "What did you do?!"
Y/N shifted his gaze away from Bakugo to Iida, "Do you really want me to repeat myself? I thought I made myself clear. I gave him exactly what he deserved. He ruined my life so I ruined his in return."
Nejire glared at him, "We're giving you chance to change your life and you used this to play with us and to give yourself enough time to do something like this? How could you?! We thought you were better than that!"
Y/N shifted his gaze to her, glaring back at her as he used his Quirk to make himself float above the ground, "Really? Something like this is off limits to you? Ex-fucking-cuse me! I thought you are okay with such games. This is what your beloved number two did with my friend, a friend whom he killed after evertyhing by the way, so I thought it you will okay with it!"
Nejire looked at him in both disappointment and anger, "Y-You..."
"How could you use one of those bullets on someone? You know what they were made it!" Mirio asked as Y/N looked at him, paying no attention to Iida and Nejire. He saw the blond haired young man glaring at him, "I don't know what you were told for you life, but being Quirkless doesn't make you worthless! In fact, I think Quirkless are the strongest people that I have the privilege to know!"
"Really? Tell it to that shithead, then!" Y/N retorted, pointing towards Bakugo who remained in complete shock of what just happened to him, "Tell it to everyone who treats Quirkless like sub-humans or sees us like a sign of devolution! All you heroes talk about how being Quirkless does not make you worse and yet you do jack shit about fixing this issue when it's fucking evident! All you fucking talk about how people are equal of what they are born with and yet the system you are trying to keep up does completely opposite! It doesn't just goes for the Quirkless people. It goes for everyone else who doesn't fit your criteria of a perfect society!"
Even if Mirio's glare remained on his face, the blond haired young man felt completely taken aback by Y/N"s behavior. The person in front of him was completely different from the person he met back in Shie Hassaikai.. Y/N back in Shie Hassaikai was more composed and he could feel a bit of hurt in his voice during their first interaction in the hallway. Y/N now was more vulgar in his voice and he could feel the anger and hate he felt in his voice right now.
The h/c haired boy didn't stop in his rant and pointed towards where Spinner was on Gigantomachia, "People who have their looks affected by their Quirk suffer discrimination to the point where they have to lock themselves in their houses to escape it! Everyone is talking about everything has improved due to the heteromorph now holding positions of power in the cities and yet you completely ignore what's happening in the countryside!"
He pointed in the direction Gigantomachia came from. The direction where Toga parted ways with them, "People who have their behavior affected by their Quirk are expected to behave as if their Quirk affected them! They're supposed to just ignore the needs it puts them through and when they can't control it, they're considered a fucking freak! Or even worse! If they wouldn't be able to control themselves after doing so from some time and exploded, then the best course of action is to lock them up because it's their fault for not controlling something they were born with! The same goes for people who have their mental health affected by their Quirk!"
He pointed in the direction of the mansion. The direction where Mustard was left behind, "People who are born with villanous powers are immediately written off as potential villains by everyone and everyone is afraid of them because of it! Even when if some of them show interest in becoming a hero, then everyone is still fucking afraid of them because how can someone with villanous power want to do any good! In fact. I know a person like this! He had dreams of becoming a hero and yet it didn't seem to matter, because everyone wrote him off as a villain due to his villanous power. What else can you become when everyone sees a monster in you!?
He pointed towards Bakugo who remaine numb on the ground, "People with flashy powers get away with anything! They can be completely shitheads and hurt as many people a they can and get away with it, because they can be heroes! All your fucking hero society, especially All Might with his fucking super strength capable of beating everyone, created was a need for flashy Quirk and nothing else fucking matters! It's okay for a person with flashy Quirk to be a complete asshole who thinks they are better than everyone, because it's okay when a hero behaves like that! Am I right?"
Iida glared at him, "And how are you planning to solve all of those issues? By hurting people?"!
"I didn't want to hurt anyone! I wanted to hurt as less people as possble in order to achieve my goal!" Y/N glared back at him, "What I wanted meant jack shit to all of you and now look at me! Do you know how many people I killed today and how many people I hurt because of the war you brought to my home? I don't know. I lost the count of it! It includes your classmates as well!"
Iida's eyes widened, "W-What?"
Y/N shook his head after seeing the way Iida reacted to it, "Relax. I didn't kill anyone from your class. I'm not going to lower myself to the point of killing students who were put here by the goddamned Pro's. Just wait until they'll refuse to show your involvement here to make themselves look better to the media. I didn't kill any of your classmates because I also want them to be there when the shit will hit the fan with all the stuff with Bakugo. All I did to them was batter them a bit to protect my girlfriend from them. It wasn't be anything they won't survive."
"Y-You..." Iida's glare sharpened at the mention of what Y/N did to his classmates. He composed himself a second later, "All the stuff with Bakugo? First you used the bullet on him and now this? Why do you hate him so much? Did he do something to you?!"
Y/N nodded in confirmation, "Yes! He made my life miserable for the last ten years! He fucking tormented me and kept telling me how I am fucking useless because of the way I was born! He almost drew me to suicide!"
"W-What?!" Nejire exclaimed in suprise, taken aback by this revelation. She wasn't the only one. Mirio and Iida were taken aback by this as well. Is this why Y/N hated Bakugo as much as he did?
Y/N nodded in confirmation, "Yeah. You heard me right! Your fucking schoolmate is a fucking bully who almost drew someone to suicide! Let me tell you something! If I wasn't found by my Sensei on the edge of the roof, then I would have jumped! I had fucking nothing back then and I was about to take the final step when he called out to me! The worst part about it is the fact that he would cause my suicide would be fucking forgiven by everyone due to his desire of being a hero! He didn't torment only me! He tormented Midoriya as well!"
"What? He tormented Midoriya as well?" Iida asked in suprise. Izuku was bullied by Bakugo? He never told any of them about it, "I thought they were rivals..."
Y/N looked at Iida like he was an idiot, "What? You really thought they were rivals? How fucking stupid you are? Was the way they acted around each other and the way Bakugo treated him fit behavior of the rivals to you?!"
Iida clenched hand, beginning to feel like a fool for failing to notice all of it as he told him, "Even if you were almost driven to suicide by him, it does not excuse anything you're doing! Just because something bad happened to you once does not mean you can do all of this and get away with it! You're making yourself into someone worse than him!"
"Really? Bakugo ruined my life! You mean to tell me it doesn't excuse me ruining his in return?" Y/N asked, "Maybe if you weren't too blind to how big of a shithead he is because of them flashy power, then none of this would have happen!"
"What about Eri?" Mirio asked, "This girl sees you as her hero! Have you considered how she will feel once she will find out about all of this?!"
"Eri. You really have the audacity to bring her out of all people into this." Y/N shook his head, "If you keep bringing Eri up over and over again to get my to change my mind! How about I'll return the favor ask you this instead? Twice was killed by Hawks. Twice was one of the people who helped me in looking after her. What are you going to tell her? Are you going to tell her your beloved number two people killed one of the three people who looked after her when she was locked up in Overhaul's captivity? Huh? Are you going to tell about that or will you try to hide the truth from her?
He snapped his fingers, looking between all three of them as he got a perfect question to ask them, "This talk about Twice actually brings me a perfect question to ask you. Have you ever considered helping Twice and Toga-chan as well? You keep bringing up how I was there for Eri and I don't have to be a villain and yet you don't include them as well, even though they helped me to look after her!"
Mirio struggled with his answer for a second, "B-But they didn't help us in defeating Overhaul. Like you did..."
"What? Seriously? Just because they didn't step into the fight with us didn't show you there can be more to them than just some evil villains?" Y/N glared at him. Everyone could see how angry he was by them thinking about his friends like this, "Twice and Toga helped Eri feel safe. They comforted her in this situation! Toga-chan taught her how to braid and Twice tried to humor her with his split personality? They helped an abused child for as much as I did and it still wasn't enough for you!?"
Mirio lowered his head for a second, beginning to look ashamed for a second before looking up at Y/N again with his expression shifting itself back into a glare, "I didn't think about them as much as I did about you as I saw what you can do with your Quirk and thought you'd make for a wonderful hero..."
Y/N nodded in understanding, his anger growing, "I see. You wanted to save me because you thought I can be a hero. You didn't saw me as a person. You saw me as a potential hero. I guess it explains to me why you want to save me. Before that I was worse than thrash and suddenly all of you jumped on this bandwagon of wanting me to be a hero after you saw my power and what I can do with it! Even now all you fucking talk about is this hero crap! You keep talking about the great hero I could become and don't seem to consider the fact that someone with a strong power wouldn't want to become a hero! The normal life I always wanted was away from this heroic crap, but this thought didn't seem to cross your mind even for a second. Am I right?"
Mirio shook his head, "N-No. I didn't."
Iida glared at him, "What is the normal life to you? A life of a villain?"
Y/N shook his head, "No. I never wanted to be a villain. Becoming a villain was the price of creating a better and I was willing to pay it."
Iida kept his glare on his face, "Did you really thought becoming a villain and doing all of this is the way of achieving your goal? You never thought there can be some other way? A better way?"
"There's a better way of doing this." Y/N scowled, shaking his head, "I've been hearing about this all fucking day! All you keep talking is a better way of doing this and yet you offer no alternatives! Tell me! Do you have any? I'm fucking waiting to hear your answer! What kind of alternative do you have?! Don't give me "we'll figure something out crap'. I want to know your answer. You wouldn't say it to me if you didn't have anything to offer in return. Right?"
Mirio, Nejire and Iida stayed silent, trying to give him an answer to this question. No words came out of their mouths, though. None of them could give hm an answer right now..
Y/N nodded in understanding, taking their silence as the only answer he needed to get, "I see. If you don't have anything aside from your usual talk, then shut up and fuck off! You can't just walk up to someone and tell them there's a better way of doing it without actually offering any alternative! It just makes you look fucking stupid and shows me you don't actually have any and are just planning to keep things as they are! I have a goal and I'm going to stick with it until me and my comrades will achieve it!"
"Don't listen to him, kids!" Best Jeanist shouted from where he fought with Dabi, finding himself growing more weaker with each passing second, "Those are just some words of a delusional villain!"
Y/N shifted his attention to him and glared at him, "Sure! Call me delusional all you want! As if you heroes have any right to call me delusional! You just love keep proving me to me that there really is no other way of achieving my goal of a better world in any other way as you are refusing to listen to anything which isn't a praise! No matter what sort of moral high ground you seek, you heros had their opportunity to create a better world and did absolutely fucking nothing with it. If you did nothing with it for so many years, then now it's time for me and my comrades to do it! By the time we'll be done, your broken status quo will know it's race is run!"
It was when their discussion got cut short as Gigantomachia roared rising up to his feet, having nearly broken himself away from Best Jeanist's restrains. Y/N, Mirio, Nejire and Iida looked in the direction of the massive villain, seeing what was happening right right now and had different reactions to this. Mirio, Nejire and Iida reacted in horror, finding themselves stunned for a second by the massive villain rising as Y/N smiled, knowing exactly what it meant for his side.
Using the stunned and horrified shock of Mirio, Nejire and Iida to his advantage, Y/N quickly started to make his way towards Gigantomachia and made sure they won't go after him until he'll reach his destination by throwing a few balls of the red energy on the ground to knock all of them down. He looked over his shoulder as he continued to make his way towards Gigantomachia, seeing all of them composing themselves from what just happened
Y/N shfited his gaze back to Gigantomachia a second later, intending to make his way to him as soon as possible as he wanted to be on his back once he will fully get up. Endeavor made his move before the h/c haired boy got a chance to reach the massive villain, though. The number one hero soared towards Gigantomachia. With a blow, he struck the massive villain and brought him crashing down. The result of this was Endeavor beginning to lose consciousness. Gigantomachia fell to his knees and suddenly felt himself losing his strength.
"What happened to my strength?" Gigantomachia asked in confusion. Unable to do anything, the massive villain laid down on the ground in defeat. The League watched this sudden turn of events in bewilderement, processing what just happened.
Y/N's eyes widened at this sudden turn of events, "Shit!"
"Machia!" Spinner shouted, getting worried by what just happened.
Magne shook her head, "The bottle the kids threw into his mouth earlier! It must have been a sedative or something!"
Mirio smiled at the view of what just happened with Gigantomachia, "The report from the mansion said there was no effect. But the sedative worked!"
"I do not know who accomplished this, but our hopes have been repaired. The fact that this drug kicked in at the this hour isn't a coincidence!" Best Jeanist thought to himself, glad by this turn of events because things were finally starting to go their way as he wasted no time and launched an attack on the villains.
Using the fact that villains were taken aback by what just happened to his advantage, Best Jeanist put his wires to good use and tightened them around everyone who was restrained by them in order to knock all of them out. He didn't forget about Y/N as well. He moved the wires towards him and his wires weren't stopped by Dabi who was too busy with Todoroki to react to in this time. Y/N didn't react to this in time as well and it was just a matter of seconds before he found himself restrained by the wires.
Upon feeling himself getting restrained by the wires again, Y/N's eyes widened as he quickly shifted his gaze from a downed Gigantomachia to Best Jeanist. He desperately tried to free themselves from it, but it was to no avail. The fact that he couldn't use his Quirk in such position played it's first in it as well. He shook his head to himself. This was not good. This was not good at all. With most of the League restrained and Gigantomachia out, he had a hard time coming up with a way how to save this situation.
He clenched his teeth, feeling his restrains tightened around him as he set his eyes on Best Jeanist and noticed something about him. His eyes were starting to bleed for some reason. The number three hero ignored the pain he was in right now and how his eyes were bleeding as focused himself on taking out the League. He continued to tighten his restrains on the League members, determined to hold them at bay and maybe even knock them out.
Mr. Compress grunted in pain, feeling "This binding is so tight that I can't touch the cables. Which means I can't activate Compress to get us out of this mess. What a shameful predicament. All I can do is grope my own posterior..."
Origami struggled to breath, doing her best to stop herself from passing out, "G-Guys. I think I'm going to pass out..."
"Just hang in there Origami-chan..." Magne told Origami with a pained look on her face, struggling to keep herself conscious as well.
Mr. Compress slowly shifted his gaze to Shigaraki, "You're no better Shigaraki. Remember why you summoned us here? We were supposed to gather together and create a spectacle. What'd you have to go get beaten up for? Now we're trapped.."
Magne followed Mr. Compress' example and slowly turned to look at Shigaraki, "Sweetheart if there's any time to wake up now's the time!"
"Shigaraki. Please! Wake up!" Origami pleaded, having set her eyes on her leader as well.
"It's just as Spinner said." Mr. Compress grunted out, his voice becoming filled with determination with each word he uttered to them, "We haven't done anything yet. Not Dabi. Nor Toga. Nor Y/N. Nor Origami. Nor Mustard. Nor Magne. Nor I. None of us have achieved our dreams! This cannot be where our performance ends!"
"Blackout Bind!" Best Jeanist declared, executing his Ultimate Move as he began to choke the League into submission.
Mr. Compress clenched his teeth, feeling like it was getting harder for him to breathe as he felt like passing out at any second, "The spotlight is mine now! It's time for these philistines to witness the greatest show on earth!"
As soon as he uttered those words, he felt all the fond memories he had made with the League fly through his head. He recalled how he bonded with all of them and how much he enjoyed it. No matter if those were his tea sessions with Origami and Magne or him and Tengai teaching Y/N how to dance. All of those memories he made with them were something he wouldn't trade for anything in this world.
Why? Because they made him happy. Even when the League was at it's lowest and was struggling to afford anything and even when he lost his arm to Overhaul, he was was happy to be a part of it and was proud of it. He was happy to be with his friends. He was happy to be with all the people who just like him shared a vision to create a new better world together and was more than happy to have his part in the creation of the new world in their reset plan.
Mr. Compress nodded to hinself, growing more certain on what he was about to do as he knew it was something he had to do. For all of his friends from the League. It was his duty as the self proclaimed leader of the Brotherhood of the Unarmed and someone who oppointed himself as the parental figure to the younger members of the League following the capture of Kurogiri to protect his friends and do something like this to save them from what would otherwise would be an unsalvageable situation.
"...I loved being in the League of Villains, guys." He told his friends, struggling to speak as he made all of them would know how he felt about them and their organization before he'll put his plan in motion.
"W-What're you talking about?" Spinner stuttered out, struggling to utter those words to him because of his restrains.
"A-Atsuhiro-kun." Origami gasped out, feeling like she was seconds away from passing out.
"Our boss is the key...I'll buy you time to wake him up...Use it well...Every good show requires teamwork...This is my duty to my bloodline...The reason I'm here!" Mr. Compress declared, putting all the strength he had left in him in his words as he carved a mound of his own flesh with his Quirk, suprising Best Jeanist. With a part of his body missing, he managed to free himself from the restrains and compressed Spinner, Shigaraki and afterwards did the same with Origami and Magne.
"The League! They've escaped their restrains!" Mirio shouted, having noticed it from where he fought the Nomus with Iida and Nejire.
"Don't think you're the only ones risking your lives for a cause! Now. Keep your eyes peeled. This will be the performance of a lifetime!" Mr. Compress declared as he started fleeing the scene, bleeding from the part of his body he had gouged out with his Quirk.
Best Jeanist shook his head, seeing what was happening right now as he used his Quirk to bind Mr. Compress, using the vibers from the villains' clothes, "You won't escape!"
"Clever! He's imprisoning me with my clothes. But I'm perfectly positioned for a little sleight of hand magic. Goodbye, costume!" Mr. Compress thought to himself, strategizing internally as he had expected Best Jeanist to react like this. He put his hand on his shoulder, freeing himself and gouging more parts of his body in the process. His clothes were compressed as well. Best Jeanist's eyes were widened by this, having just realized Mr. Compress figured out a way of countering his attack.
"Over here! Help!" Mr. Compress looked in the direction of the voice and saw Skeptic, Kizuki, Minene and Daiki shouting to be freed as well as all of them were pinned to Gigantomachia's back by Best Jeanist's restrains, leaving all of them unable to move and do anything.
"Don't leave us behind!" Kizuki shouted. It was when Mr. Compress made his way to them. Not wasting any time, he compressed Kizuki and Skeptic together in the same marble and did the same a second later with Minene and Daiki by placing them in the same marble.
"I'm a master when it comes to trickery and deft escapes. Those talents are all I need to save us from abysmal defeat." Mr. Compress stated, bleeding more and more as he started losing balance. As he proceeded to run away, he recalled all the conversations his father had with him regarding their bloodline and who they were related to.
"..Atsuhiro. My son. The spirit of justice flows through our family line. It's our duty to expose unfairness..."
Mr. Compress pushed himself out of his thoughts a second later as he saw Dabi knocking Todoroki away from him with his fire attack, "Dabi! Free Y/N and come here!"
"I'm sorry, Shoto. We'll dance again later. Enji Todoroki hasn't suffered enough to break, and there's no point in continuing if he's knocked out. Too bad, little masterpiece!" Dabi shouted, having heard what Mr. Compress had just cried out to him as he shot an unconcious form of his father one last look before moving towards Y/N. Burning his restrains away to free him, he told him, "Come on, kid!"
"Yeah..." Y/N nodded in agreement, following Dabi as both of them moved towards Mr. Compress.
"Guys! Come on!" Mr. Compress shouted, doing his best to keep himself on his feet as Dabi and Y/N made their way to him. He wasted no time and compressed Dabi into a marble a second later and moved his hand to do the same with Y/N. The last thing he saw from Y/N before putting him in a marble was his eyes widening the concern as he saw the state he was in right now.
"Atsuhiro-kun. You're...!" Y/N's concerned scream was never finished as Mr. Compress placed him in a marble. The wounded masked man couldn't help but chuckle lightly at this. Even in the times like this when they were in a rough situation like this, Y/N still put the safety of the League first...
Mr. Compress turned away from where Y/N and Dabi used to stand a second earlier and pushed himself into run further into Gigantomachia's back. Upon reaching the edge of it, he stopped in his tracks and looked towards everyone around him and saw Mirio heading towards him, "I'm Oji Harima's great-great grandson. The blood of the bandit king pumps through my veins. You barely noticed me, right? That was part of my grand deception!"
He smiled weakly, feeling himself becoming weaker with each passing second due to his severe wounds as he took of his mask and revealed his face to the world. He intended to show everyone how despite everything, he was smilling right now, "One must always keep an ace up their sleeve!"
"I won't let you get away with anything else!" Mirio shouted as he rushed towards the villain.
"At last, center stage!" Mr. Compress shouted as he released Y/N, Shigaraki and Spinner, "It's time for Mr. Compress's spectacular, once in a lifetime escape act!"
Upon uttering those words, he rushed towards Mirio or at least tried to rush at him with his bleeding body. Just as he was about to utter more words, Mirio delivered a punch to his face, stopping him from saying more. As he felt himself losing consciousness due to the force of the punch, he grabbed Mirio's cape to hold him back a bit as he found himself thinking about what happened and everything he had just done to himself in order to salvage this situation. He found himself thinking how he had mutilated his own body to give the League a chance at escaping.
If he was honest with himself, he did not regret it. Not one bit. He fulfilled his position as the self proclaimed leader of the Brotherhood of the Unarmed and the self oppointed father figure of the younger members of the League. He did everything he could and now he had to trust his friends with doing the rest. It included fulfilling Oji Harima's will and creating a new better world. The world his grandfather would be proud of.
He didn't think his sacrifice was for nothing as he knew if there were two people who would wake up Shigaraki, then it would be Y/N and Spinner. Spinner was the most devoted to Shigaraki and was his best friend and Y/N was a younger brother figure to Shigaraki. These two along with Shigaraki always played the main roles in this spectacle. He was just a background characters in all of this. He didn't worry about the rest as well. He hid the marbles with Origami, Magne, Dabi, Skeptic, Kizuki, Minene and Daiki in Spinner's scarf.
Spinner grabbed Shigaraki's shoulder and tried to shake him awake, desperately hoping it will work, "Wake up! Please! Wake up, Shigaraki!"
"Please, brother! Wake up! I don't want to lose more people today!" Y/N shouted with panic and desperation evident in his voice and on his face. Moving closer to Shigaraki, he wrapped his arms around him and gave him a hug, "Please, bro! Don't leave me...!"
Spinner glanced at him for second and how Y/N looked like right now caused him to grow more worried. The lizard man looked at him with concern written over his face. He had never seen Y/N act so desperate before. The desperation he was seeing in him right now was nothing compared to what he saw in him when All For One was captured or when they were forced into a conflict with the Liberation Army. Right now he was seeing someone who was truly desperate to see his family show any signs of life.
Y/N pulled away from Shigaraki a second later, seeing his brother was still not showing any signs he was alive and looked at Shigaraki. Both of them exchanged worried glances with each other, knowing they were running out of idea on what to do now. It was when something caught their attention and gave them an idea on what to do now. It was Shigaraki's last remaining hand. It was sticking out of his pocket.
Y/N and Spinner stared at the remaining hand for a second, recalling what Shigaraki told them once about it and looked up at each other as soon as this memory flew through their minds. The two of them looked at each other and nodded, knowing what they should try next without exchanging any words with each other. Y/N picked up Shigaraki's last hand and slowly covered Shigaraki's face with it. Even if they didn't know it would work, they knew it was their only option right now.
In the end, it turned out that their plan was a good one because it worked. As soon as Shigaraki's face was covered by his last face hand, he woke up from the slumber he was forced into due to his state. Y/N and Spinner felt waves of relief going through their bodies as Mirio took notice of Shigaraki waking up as well. He didn't got a chance to do anything about it, though. Unfortunely for him, but fortunely for the villains, he was knocked away by the shockwave caused by a combination of various Quirks.
Shigaraki got himself into a standing position in front of Y/N and Spinner, looking down as he could tell everyone on the battlefield felt his shockwave, "I must say, Tomura has some admirable friends and the relationship he formed with you Y/N is truly something to be admired. Who could have guessed my plan of placing you two together in the League will work out as well as it did."
All the happiness Y/N felt faded away in an instant when he saw Shigaraki utter those words. Something felt different about him. His voice was different as well, "W-What?"
Spinner failed to notice anything off about Shigaraki and asked him, "Shigaraki! What do you want us to do?"
"We're withdrawing." Shigaraki replied, suprising Spinner.
The lizard man wasted no time and voiced how displeased he was with this order, "Wait, you wanna run? We can't do that! Compress is hurt bad! And Machia's not going anywhere. Toga's supposed to be heading this way, too! You know yourself this isn't how we do things! We do not abandon our comrades!"
"Hold your tongue, Iguchi." Shigaraki warned him.
"Did you say "Iguchi"?" Spinner asked, confused by it as Shigaraki had never called him by his surname. It was when he, just like Y/N, realized there was something off about Shigaraki, "Hold on. Who are you?"
"S-Sensei?" Y/N stuttered out in shock, pushing himself out of his silent state as Spinner gasped in shock, realizing who had just taken control of Shigaraki's body, "What are you doing here? Why are you controlling Tomura-kun's body right now?"
"Don't concern yourself with this now, Y/N." All For One told him through Shigaraki's body, "What we should focus on right now is getting away."
"What? Getting away now? But Sensei! Shuichi-kun is right! This isn't how we do things! We don't leave our comrades behind..." Y/N paused for a second, his mind flashing back to Mustard, Rappa and Arasaka and what happened with them, "...Unless we can save them."
Spinner nodded in agreement, now knowing he was talking with All For One. Not Shigaraki, "Y-Yes! We are not going to leave them behind!"
"Yes. We will." All For One brushed their words off, "It's only fair that Tomura pays for his failures. Remember, this is all for my sake."
"What? What consequnces of his failure?" Y/N asked, "None of this is his fault! He shouldn't be punished for it and more importantly our comrades shouldn't be punished for it by gettng left behind! If there's something who should be punished for it, then it's me!"
"If you think so, then you can count it as your punishment as well." All For One told him, "Think of it as paying for your defeat in sportmanalike way."
Y/N's eyes widened at this, "W-What?"
"I won't let you escape!" Mirio's voice sounded in front of them as Y/N, Spinner and All For One stopped their conversation and looked in the direction of it, seeing the blonde haired young man charging towards them.
"The Permeation Quirk, huh?" All For One remarked as he launched red tendrils at Mirio, trying to get rid of the problem he caused to him. Mirio dodged them and was about attack. He didn't got a chance to do anything, though as the tendrils blindsided him, piercing his back and causing him to lost his consciousness in an instant, "I have no patience for attacks I can't predict."
"Shigaraki!" Todoroki growled furiously, launching himself into the air as Iida rushed towards them, both of them intending to attack Shigaraki and what remained of the League.
"Still, they swarm." All For One stated, growing annoyed by how everyone kept charging at him as he raised his hand and blasted both of them away with one of his Quirk. Upon blasting them away, he saw a group of Nomus rushing towards them and nodded to himself a satisfied manner, "Now. Time to go."
Before either Y/N or Spinner could say or do anything, they found themselves getting lifted up from the ground as the Nomus had made their way to them and placed them on their backs. Not wasting any time, the Nomus began taking them away from the scene as Best Jeanist tried to extend a series of wires to stop them. His attempts were futile even with all the efforts he put into his attacks, though as the wires failed to reach their intended targets.
Y/N looked at Gigantomachia, seeing the massive villain finding himself in a bigger distance from him as he shook his head. He couldn't believe it was happening. He was forced to leave his comrades. Again. What made everything worse to him right now it was because of All For One. His own Sensei made him abandon his comrades behind. Why was he leaving them behind if they could save them? What if it was him? Would he do the same if he was either in Gigantomachia's or Mr. Compress position?
He looked up a second later, seeing a Near High-End Nomu flying above him. He wouldn't think much of it normally due him having already seen countless Nomus at this point. However, he recognized this Nomu from somewhere. He recall seeing it back in the Doctor's lab back when he showed him and Shigaraki around. It was the same Nomu he felt oddly drawn to during the said trip around the lab. Now the very same Nomu was in action and was using a boogie pack to fly.
"...A boogie pack? Wait a second...?!" He was quickly pushed out of his thoughts regarding this particular Nomu as someone went after him and and the rest. It was when his eyes caught the sight of Izuku using Blackwhip to advance towards him.
"Hm? You haven't given up yet? I'd say this child's tenacity is comparable to All Might's." All For One remarked as Izuku continued to make his way towards them, "The useless Midoriya Izuku. Let's meet again when this body's complete."
"You better keep your mouth shut, All For One!" Izuku glared at him, refusing to let go. The dark green haired boy had tear marks on his face, looking like he was crying a moment ago. Y/N paid no attention to Izuku and shifted his gaze to All For One. The h/c haired boy had an alarmed look on his face. What did his Sensei meant by 'When this body is complete'?"
"I'll see you soon." All For One bid his farewell to Izuku as he held his hand out towards Izuku and launched an attack which send him flying backwards. It was only a matter of seconds before Izuku completely vanished out of their view. With him taken care off, the fleeing villains didn't had to worry about anyone interrupting them in their escape anymore and fleed the scene, intending to distance themselves from it as far away as they could.
-----
Here we go. The conversation between Y/N and Izuku finally happened and it went as well as many of you expected it and it was as hard for me to write as I thought. The way I wanted it to go and the things I wanted to be said in it was something I've been debating with himself ever since I decided I want it to happen in the PLF War and I hope you liked it as I know how many of you were waiting for this moment. The next chapter will show the prison break and will close off the War arc.
Hazbin Hotel finally came out and I loved it. The only real complaint I have is that it feels like it's going a bit too fast (though I blame the fact that they only got eight episodes for season 1), but other than that, I'm loved everything about it. Each was episode a banger. The songs were really enjoyable as well. This show coming out as well gave me some ideas for a story I had in mind since 2019 about a cartel assassin and a friend of Angel Dust and Cherri Bomb (think of them being a trio) ending up in the hotel.
The characters in this show were all great. I loved most of them (Even Adam and Lute as they were a pair you hated and loved at the same time) with the exception of Valentino. In fact. This show coming out made me hate him even more. I even ended up liking some characters more than I will before the show came out and Pentious (I think we can all agree he's the goat) and Vox (he was the best part about the final episode, lol) are the best examples of it.
Out of all characters, Lucifer is definitely my favourite. I was grinning in all the scenes he was in. Just like everyone else, I expected him to be harsh parent and was pleasantly suprised to see him being a goofball. The song between him and Alastor was a real banger (Definitely my favourite song out of all). I'm just imagining Vivziepop sitting menacingly in her office looking over the fan theories and the fanon that Lucifer would be a horrible father then proceeds to cackle like a supervillain like 'you fools, when I'm done you'll WISH he was your father."
I got two alternative endings for you, by the way. This is how the sequence would change after this chapter:
The first picture would show Y/N and Izuku as kids. The picture would show them smilling at each other, having fun each other like the best friends they were as Izuku would be show reaching his hand out towards Izuku. The scene would then cut into the picture of them now. They would show be facing each other with everything around them destroyed. Izuku would be battered after his fight with Shigaraki and Y/N would be battered after his fight at the mansion. Izuku would be looking at Y/N with a hurt look on his face as Y/N would be looking at him with a cold look on his face.
The second picture would show Y/N and Bakugo. The picture would show them back in Aldera High. Y/N would be on his fours and would be crying, having just been bullied and punched by Bakugo as a grinning Bakugo would be walking away from him with his back turned to him. The scene would then cut into the picture of them now and show how the roles were reversed. Y/N would be hatefully glaring down at Bakugo as Bakugo, now Quirkless, would be laying on the ground and would be looking up at Y/N with a horrified look on his face.
