Stain
Y/N and Origami remained in Y/N's room for a little longer after stumbling across a TV news report about the Hero Killer and his most recent attack, curious to learn more about the attack. As they continued to watch the report, they learned more about the Pro-Hero who was a victim of the attack. He was apparently was an older brother of Tenya Iida who ranked third place in the festival alongside Fumikage Tokoyami. Learning Ingenium's identify explained to them what was the emergency which caused Iida to not be present at the medal ceremony of the festival.
After watching the TV news report about the Hero Killer, Y/N grabbed the remote and browsed through the channels for a few moments, he and Origami checking if there was worth anything watching right now. There wasn't. It wasn't suprising to either of them they doubted the channels would be showing anything interesting today, because of the U.A Sports Festival taking place today.
Having no reason to keep his TV turned on, Y/N pressed the button on the remote, turning the TV off, before placing the remote on the table in front of him and Origami. They picked up the empty glasses from the table, having drank their entire drinks while watching the festival and walked out of the room, beginning to make their way to the bar as they wanted to return the glasses to Kurogiri.
Upon arriving at the bar, they saw that no one was in there. Shigaraki must have been in his room right now where he was either watching the festival or doing something else and Kurogiri must have been taking care of something right now, because it was actually pretty rare to see him out of the bar. After taking a quick look around the place, the two of them walked over to the bar and took their usual seats, setting their empty glasses on the counter.
"Ah, there you two are." A voice sounded on their left a few seconds later. Y/N and Origami turned to the source of the voice and saw Shigaraki and Kurogiri walking into the bar, "We've been looking for you."
"See? I told you we should have checked the bar first." Shigaraki said to Kurogiri in an annoyed manner as he walked over to his seat and sat down on it, "We just wasted our time by checking if they were in their rooms."
Paying no attention to Shigaraki's comment, Kurogiri stepped behind the bar, "We have one important matter we need to talk about with you two."
"So. What did you want to talk about?" Y/N asked.
"Has either of you ever heard about the Hero Killer Stain?" Kurogiri replied with a question on his own.
"Yes." Y/N replied as Origami nodded in response, "We just saw a TV news report about him on the news channel we have stumbled upon after the festival ended. He attacked a Pro-Hero Ingenium during the sports festival, leaving him in a critical condition."
"Why are you asking us about him?" Origami wanted to know.
"When Y/N was busy with your training, Weaponsmith, I and Shigaraki Tomura have begun looking for the new associates that you could fill in our ranks." Kurogiri began his explanation, "The Hero Killer seemed like one of the best candidates and I have begun my search for him. With his most recent attack in Hosu City, I've finally managed to track him down. All we need to do now it to send him our invitation and convince him to join us."
"Hmm." Shigaraki hummed at the mention of Kurogiri wanting to invite Stain into their hideout, scratching his neck.
Y/N looked at the blue haired young man sitting next to him, "What's wrong, Shigaraki-kun?"
"Stain. I'm not exactly sure if we need him among our ranks." Shigaraki replied.
"I wouldn't scratch Stain off the list of our potential members, Shigaraki Tomura." Kurogiri told Shigaraki, "Right now, we are entirely focused on assembling a team and rebuilding our strength. No other villain is currently more qualified for it than the Hero Killer. Not to mention the attention he has gathered around himself ever since he made himself known will certainly work in our benefit and perharps make more interested in joining our ranks."
"Kurogiri is right, Shigaraki-kun." Y/N voiced his agreement with Kurogiri's words as Origami silently nodded in agreement, "We need more people to join the League."
"Fine." Shigaraki responded with a bored expression on his face, remaining unconviced if asking Stain to join their ranks was a good idea, "We'll give it a shot."
"Very well." Kurogiri nodded, gladdened by Shigaraki giving him the permission to invite the Hero Killer over.
"When are we going to invite him into our hideout?" Origami wanted to know.
"We will wait a few days before sending him our invitation." Kurogiri replied, "The streets of Hosu City are currently filled with authorities because of the Hero Killer's recent attack and we shouldn't risk getting spotted by them."
"I see." Origami replied in understanding as Y/N nodded in understanding.
"I'm tired." Shigaraki got up from his seat and began to make his way out of the bar towards his room, "I'll be in my room."
"I think I'll get going too." Y/N said after Shigaraki walked out of the bar, getting off his seat, "It will start getting dark soon."
"Yeah." Origami agreed with the h/c haired boy, getting off her seat too. She looked at Kurogiri with a questioning look on her face, "Kurogiri. Can I ask you something?"
"Of course." Kurogiri replied, "What is it? Should I start preparing dinner for you and Y/N?"
Origami nodded in confirmation, "Yes."
"Very well." Kurogiri nodded in understanding, "I'll deliver it to your rooms as soon as it will be ready. If you will need anything during that time, you know where to find me."
Y/N and Origami nodded at him to show him their understanding of his words and walked out of the bar, beginning to head to their rooms.
-----
Chizome Akaguro watched the city from his position at the top of the building as he observed the lives of regular people who entrusted their lives to heroes, looking relentlessly for an unoworthy hero who would become his next target. As he continued to overlook the city, he wiped the remains of the blood from his most recent attack from his blade, having recently announced his arrival at the Hosu City a way that was guaranteed to send a message to all the fake heroes out there.
The entire Hosu City was filled with life today. Lots of cars drove along the road in various directions, the owners of the vehicles trying to get to their destinations as soon as possible and the streets were filled with all kinds of people who were minding their own business. Those who had some duty today were in a hurry to go to work to provide for themselves or their families or something even both and those who happened to not have to go to work or school today were using their free time the way they liked.
He shook his head as his eyes continued to watch these people enjoy their day. All of these people who were simply going about their day in their own ways were completely unaware of the fact that their protectors were driven by personal profit, ego and greed instead of true values of a hero. Protectors who were too selfish and only cared their own profit to truly sacrifice anything for the people they were protecting.
He was nothing like those fake heroes. He had sacrificed everything to show those fake heroes what it meant to be a true hero and he was going to continue to do so for as long as he could. He was going to do everything in his power to make sure the truth about those fake heroes and their flaws will come clear to the eyes of the public and ensure revival of the true heroes.
It was when he heard something behind him. His reaction to hearing all this noise was immediate. He drew his blade and pointed it behind him in the direction of all this noise. He slowly turned around to look at whoever was cocky enough to approach him from behind, making sure to keep his blade pointed their way and saw his blade sticking through the black swirling vortex.
"...Please stay calm." A male voice spoke up to him from the swirling vortex, "We are of the same mind. I have been looking for you, Hero Killer Stain. I have heard of your notoriety and wanted to meet you." Stain's eyes narrowed when he looked up and saw a pair of glowing yellow eyes above the vortex, "May I have a moment of your time? I come here on behalf of the League of Villains. We would like to invite you into our hideout."
The League of Villains. Where Stain had heard that name before? It didn't took him long to remember where he heard that name. The League of Villain. It was a group of villains that recently attacked U.A. They had to send a villain ahead of him to locate him and bring him to them to possibly try to recruit him into their ranks. Curious where this was going, Stain lowered his blade and stepped through the vortex the man with glowing yellow eyes had created.
He found himself on the other side of the vortex a second later. He found himself in a place he instantly recognized as some sort of bar. The vortex behind him was closed as he looked around himself and his new surroundings, trying to see how many people were in the bar with him right now. The first person he saw was a smokey figure standing behind the bar who was undoubtedly the man who brought him into his face.
The next person he saw a young blue haired young man who had a hand attached to his face who was sitting at one of the seats by the bar. Two more people were standing behind him, leaning against the wall next to each other. He saw a masked young man dressed in a spiked vest who from his silhouette didn't look like he reached adult years. Next to him was a teenage girl with a dark green hair and an outfit which was combination of a casual and military style.
"...You must be the ones that attacked U.A." He spoke up after taking a good look at the group of villains he was brought to by the portal, "You must have brought me here, because you want me to join your little group."
"Yeah." Shigaraki confirmed with a nod of his head, "Come on, you've got so much experience as a villain, sir."
"What are you after?" Stain asked.
"For now, I just want to kill All Might." Shigaraki revealed, "I want to break anything I don't like." He held up one of the pictures he had taken when he was watching the sports festival a few days ago. The picture he had just showed Stain displayed Izuku in the moment when he had won the obstacle race, "Damn kids like this too. Everything..."
Stain narrowed his eyes at Shigaraki, feeling how all the interested he had in the League of Villains just left his body, "I was foolish to be interested. You're the type of person I hate the most."
Shigaraki looked at him in suprise, his face-hand hiding the suprised look on his face, "Huh?"
"You want me to go along your childish tantrum?" Stain put his hands on his daggers which were on his shoulders, "What meaning is there in killing without conviction?" He shifted his gaze to Y/N, "What about you, kid?" The eyelids of Y/N's mask displayed two exclamanation marks as Y/N was suprised by Stain calling out for him, "Tell me. Are you the Mask? A villain I've heard so much about in the news shorty after the sudden vanishing of a Pro-Hero Cyborg?"
"Yes." Y/N nodded in confirmation.
"Why are you asking him that?" Shigaraki questioned, irritation evident in his voice, "If you watched the news about him, then you must already know about him associates with me."
"I wanted to make sure if he was the person I'm wishing to talk with right now." Stain replied, keeping his hands on his daggers, "Cyborg was an unworthy hero. All he ever he cared about was his own personal gain of money and the adoration of his fans. He was far away from what a true hero was supposed to be. If you didn't took care of him, I would have taken him out myself. Tell me. Do you share you leader's way of thinking and are doing what you're doing without any conviction or have you killed Cyborg because you have a goal you are willing to fight for?"
"I want to create a new, better society." Y/N gave him an honest answer, "A society where Quirkless people won't be treated like a liability and won't be seen like as a sign of devolution. A society where people won't be too dependant on Quirks. A society where people won't be turning a blind eye to the terrible things happening around them just they think a hero is supposed to take care of it instead of them."
"I see. We both are doing what we're doing because we want to create a better world." Stain stated, more pleased with Y/N 's answer than Shigaraki's and shifted his gaze back to Shigaraki, "You should take example from your associate. He unlike knows there's no meaning in killing without conviction and has a conviction he is willing to follow and considers worth fighting for. This society overgrown with fake heroes where the world itself lost it's true meaning and the criminals who do what they do without a conviction, just like you, deserve to be purged."
"I wouldn't write Shigaraki as someone you had just mentioned right away." Y/N took a few steps towards Stain, stopping next to the seat Shigaraki was sitting on, "As someone who works with him, I assure you Shigaraki-kun has as much conviction as anyone in this town, no matter if they are a villain or a hero. He and I have one shared goal we are working towards accomplishing together."
Shigaraki scratched his neck furiously, watching the interaction between Stain and Y/N, "This hero killer. He is starting piss me off."
"Master." Kurogiri called out for All For One in alarm. He looked at the TV as Y/N did the same, both of them knowing where this situation was going as they were both aware about how temperamental Shigaraki was, "Is all right to let this continue?"
"This is fine!" All For One's voice sounded in the TV, the tone of his voice betraying how pleased he was by this turn of events. Origami shifted her gaze from Stain to the TV in suprise upon hearing this voice. She was suprised because it was the first time when she heard the voice of Y/N's Sensei and because she had no idea he was watching their entire meeting with Stain for all this time.
"Are you sure, Sensei?" Y/N asked, red energy beginning to circle around his hands just in case if a fight between Shigaraki was Stain was going to break out, "What if this situation will get out of hand?"
"Yes, Y/N. I'm certain about this." All For One assured him, "Think of it as a lesson for Tomura. Just like you used the USJ as a lesson to improve from the mistakes you made back there. Tomura should think about where he needs to mature."
Y/N nodded in understanding, "Alright. I understand."
Before anyone from the group gathered in the bar could speak up again, Stain lunged towards Shigaraki and pulled out his dagger. The members of the League had no time to react to Stain's charge towards Shigaraki as Stain sliced Kurogiri in the arm before knocking Shigaraki to the floor. The emoticons on Y/N's mask displayed two exclamation marks as Y/N leaped out of the way when Stain swung his blade at him.
"Such speed!" Origami thought to herself in awe after seeing how quickly Stain moved and how quick he was with his attack, knowing she was far away from being able to move and attack with such a speed when it came to her training.
Not wasting any time, the dark green haired girl unsheathed her katana, ready to use it as Y/N landed right in front of her. Before Shigaraki could do anything about Stain being on top of him, the Hero Killer pulled out another dagger and stabbed the blue haired young man right in the shoulder with it. He licked the blood off his knives as Kurogiri froze in his place, unable to move and to expand his mist. Y/N and Origami moved towards Stain, with the intention of taking him off their leader.
"Mask! Weaponsmith! Don't let him lick cut you and lick your blood! His Quirk must be paralytic, because I can't move!" Kurogiri warned Y/N and Origami.
Stain looked up at the two teenagers as Origami and Y/N froze where they stood after seeing the look the Hero Killer had on his face. Origami took a deep breath as she felt how all the memories of the abuse she had to endure from her mother flew through her mind. The face Stain had on his face right now reminded her of the expression of pure hatred her mother directed towards her whenever she interacted with her.
Y/N stopped in his tracks after seeing the intimidating face of the Hero Killer, remembering all the times Bakugo or Tomohito ganged up on him for either their own amusement or as a way to reminding him how useless his existance was because of his lack of Quirk. He shook his head as soon as those unpleasant memories started flying through his head in order to get rid of them.
He knew he shouldn't let those memories keep him frozen in one place, though. Especially in a situation where someone from the League was in danger. He raised his red energy covered hands and used his Quirk and used to grab a seat next to Stain and Shigaraki. The chair was slammed right into Stain. The Hero Killer was knocked off Shigaraki as Y/N used his Quirk to slam the chair into him again.
Stain gritted his teeth as he moved towards Y/N and Origami with his blade in ready with the intention of attacking them, especially the former since he was the one attacking him at the moment. He stopped in his tracks, feeling how someone had just grabbed him by his right boot. He looked down and saw Shigaraki. The blue haired villain used the fact that Stain was busy with Y/N and Origami to his advantage and grabbed him by his boot to stop him from stepping futher on the first opportunity he got.
"You can't hold m..." Stain's words died in his throat before he could finish the sentence. His eyes slightly opened in suprise when he saw how his boot started to disintergrate, realizing that Shigaraki didn't grab him to stop him from approaching Y/N and Origami, but to kill him.
"You sure talk a lot." Shigaraki grinned wickedly as Stain leaped away from him, bits of his boot landing on the floor, "Conviction? I don't have anything grand like that, not like the Mask." He slowly got himself back on his feet, looking over his shoulder at the torn up poster of All Might on the wall behind him, "If I had to say. Yeah. It'd be All Might. I feel like I really want to crush this society where thrash like that gets worshipped."
Stain flinched, something about Shigaraki's expression making a chill go down his spine. He held his dagger in ready, just in case if Shigaraki was going to attack him as Shigaraki covered the knife wound on his shoulder. Y/N walked over to Shigaraki and stopped next to him, red energy circling around his hands just in case if he would have to use it again. Shigaraki looked at his fellow villain from the League and exchanged a look and a nod with him.
"My last injury was finally about to finish healing." Shigaraki lifted his hand up to his neck, beginning to scratch it, "We don't have a healer in our party, you know? Will you take responsibility for this?"
"So that's who you are." Stain muttered, his eyes set on Shigaraki.
"Our first meeting might have not gone well." Y/N began in an attempt to try to convince Stain to join the League, "But I can assure you all of us here are working towards the same thing. Just like you said to me earlier, we're doing what we're doing because we want to create a better world. Each person in this bar wants to change this world and had to become villains to accomplish this goal."
"We might be working towards the goal of a better world. You and I." Stain glanced at Y/N, "But my goal opposes the one of your associate." He shifted his gaze back to Shigaraki and nodded at him, "However, we do agree on one thing. To destroy the present."
"Stop messing around. Go home. Die." Shigaraki growled in frustation, "I'm the kind of person you hate the most, right?"
"I was testing your true motives." Stain replied, sheathing his dagger, "People show their true colors when they're on the verge of death. It's different, but there is desire, a warped sprout of conviction living inside you. How will you bud? It might not be too late to wait until after I've seen that to dispose of you."
"You're gonna dispose of me?" Shigaraki asked as Kurogiri regained his ability to move. He shifted his gaze to the misty villain, "Kurogiri. I don't want someone this crazy as a party member."
"Are you sure about that, Shigaraki-kun?" Y/N asked, "Someone like Stain will be a great help to the League. Especially after everything that happened at the USJ."
"The Mask is right, Shigaraki Tomura." Kurogiri said, "Stain will be a great asset if he join us."
"Are you sure you won't reconsider our offer?" Y/N asked Stain if he was certain about his decision for one last time.
"Not as of now, kid. You might have a strong conviction, but I ain't going to work with someone like your partner as he is right now. Perharps I will reconsider your offer if your partner will change." Stain replied.
"I see." Y/N nodded in understanding,
"My business here is done. Now, return me to Hosu." Stain licked his lips, his eyes glowing red, "There are still things I must attend to there."
"Very well." Kurogiri nodded, "I, the Mask and Shigaraki Tomura shall accompany you to Hosu."
"What about me? You don't want me to come with you?" Origami spoke up for the first time since Stain was brought into the bar.
"It will be better if you will remain in the bar, Weaponsmith." Kurogiri replied, "Your association with us and your identify as a villain is still unknown to the hero society as of now and it would be better if it remained that way for now."
"He's right." Y/N agreed with Kurogiri as Origami looked at him, "It would be better if you remained in the bar just in case if we'll get spotted by someone in Hosu City."
Origami nodded, "Alright."
With that being said, Kurogiri wasted no time and warped himself, Y/N, Shigaraki and Stain out of the bar to Hosu City, leaving Origami in the bar. After she was left in the bar all by herself by her associates, Origami breathed a long sigh of relief as she had been holding her breath ever since Stain attacked Shigaraki. The atmosphere in the bar had turned hostile very quickly after Stain was brought into this place and in the end it meant nothing as Stain refused to join them, because of Shigaraki.
A sigh escaped her lips as she walked over to the chair which Y/N slammed into Stain to get him off of Shigaraki. She picked it up and walked over to the counter, putting it back in it's place. She sat down on the chair and put her head on the counter, feeling dissappointed with herself. She clenched her hand, cursing herself mentally for freezing in on place after Stain directed an intimidating glare towards her as she felt tears of anger she had directed towards herself form in her eyes.
How was she going to help Y/N create a new better society where people won't have to go through what she had to go through if she will freeze in place out of fear whenever a danger to them will arise? She clenched her hand even tighter, making a promise to herself. She was not going to freeze the next time a member of the League will find himself or herself in danger. She was going to step in and make sure nothing was going to happen to them. No matter what.
Y/N stepped through the portal and found himself on the top of the water tower somewhere in the middle of Hosu City. Stain was right in front of him. The Hero Killer was crouching down, overlooking the streets below him with a determined look on his face. The masked villain took a good look around himself. He had never been in Hosu City before and wanted to get to know his new surroundings a bit better.
"Hosu City looks better than I excepted." He stated a few seconds later, shifting his attention from the city to Stain.
"Don't let this first impression make you think this city is decent, kid. It lost it's soul a long time ago." Stain told him as Shigaraki stepped through the portal, joining them on the roof, "This city is filled with souless profiteers and glory-hogs who are too selfish to sacrifice anything. They are far away from a true hero."
"So." Shigaraki said as Kurogiri closed the portal, appearing behind him and Y/N, "What are you gonna do?"
"You heard what I just said to your partner about the city being filled with souless profiteers? I'm going to change that. I will reform this city." Stain replied without hesitation, "In order to do so, I require more victims."
"Is this what you meant in the bar when you said you had business to take care of?" Kurogiri asked.
"Require more victims." Y/N repeated Stain's words, "Is this why you're killing all those heroes?"
Stain got himself into a standing position, looking over his shoulder at Y/N and Kurogiri, "I see you two are someone who understands."
Shigaraki lifted his hand up to his wounded shoulder, "Hey, what're you trying to say about me?"
"Hero is a title given to those who have accomplished great deeds!" Stain declared, throwing his arms up, "There are too many. Too many who act like heroes, but are really money worshippers." He reached for his katana and grabbed it by it's handle, "Until the world realized it's mistake, I will continue to appear."
"Your efforts are commendable, Hero Killer." Kurogiri praised Stain for his efforts, before Stain jumped off of the water tower, speeding into the alleyways.
"He talks all high and highly like that." Shigaraki scratched his neck with an annoyed look on his face as Y/N and Kurogiri looked at him, "But basically he's trying to start a grassroots movement, huh? He's so noble I could cry."
"You can't make fun of him too much." Kurogiri stated, "The reality is that in all the cities where Stain has appeared, the crime rate has fallen." Y/N and Kurogiri listened to him. Shigaraki listened to him with a disinterested annoyed look on his face, listening to him because he had to as Y/N had two question marks displayed on the eyelids of his mask because he was curious to learn more about this topic, "Some critics attribute this a rise in heroes' consciousness." Shigaraki narrowed his eyes in irritation, scratching his neck faster than before, "And shoot him down, though."
Shigaraki took his hand off his neck and looked in the direction Stain had just went into, throwing his arms in the air in glee, "That's wonderful! Heroes are working hard to bring down the cost of food, huh? So the "hero killer" is also a "hero breeder"!" He lowered his hands, "It's too roundabout." He crossed his arms, "We can't agree at a basic level and he annoys me. Kurogiri. How many Nomus can we take from Sensei on short notice?"
"What? You want to send Nomus into the city? Won't it be too risky to do right now?" Y/N questioned.
"I don't care." Shigaraki replied, "This guy is a nutcase. He stabbed me in the shoulder when my last wound was close to healing."
"Are you certain about this, Shigaraki Tomura? We can't resort to Nomu right now. We don't even know if Master has any Nomy at his disposal right now." Kurogiri wanted to know if Shigaraki was sure about this.
"Yes." Shigaraki nodded in confirmation, not even reconsidering his decision, "I don't like the Hero Killer. I'm going to make sure he regrets not taking a chance to drop dead when he could have. After Nomus will start wrecking havoc in this city, people will completely forget about him!"
"Nothing we will say will change your mind?" Y/N asked after exchanging a glance with Kurogiri.
"Yes." Shigaraki once again nodded in confirmation.
"Very well." Kurogiri nodded upon hearing Shigaraki's confirmation, opening a portal behind Shigaraki and Y/N, "Then, let's go back into the bar and contact Master."
"One more thing." Shigaraki looked at Y/N, "Y/N. I want you to go into the city to keep an eye on things happening in it until we will unsleash Nomus."
"I will have to change into my casual clothes if you want me to go into the city." Y/N pointed out, "People will easily notice me if I will into the city like this."
"Fine." Shigaraki replied, "Just make it quick."
Having no more reason to remain on the roof for now, Y/N and Shigaraki walked through the portal which was going to take them back into the bar. Origami lifted her head up from the counter and looked to where the portal was materialized in the bar, watching how Y/N and Shigaraki found themselves back in their hideout, with Kurogiri appearing behind them a second later.
"Go change into your casual clothes." Shigaraki told Y/N as Y/N nodded in understanding, "I'll talk with Sensei."
Y/N walked out of the bar, beginning to make his way to his room as Origami, wondering why Shigaraki wanted him to change his clothes. After watching the two of them walk out of the bar, Shigaraki walked over to the TV, beginning to talk with All For One about lending him and the League some Nomus for today. Upon making his way to the door to his room, Y/N grabbed the door handle and pushed the door open. He walked into his room and walked over to the closet before opening it, pulling out his casual clothes.
"Where are you going?" Origami asked out of curiosity as she followed Y/N into his room.
"Shigaraki-kun wants me to go into the city to keep an eye at the the things happening in it before he will unleash Nomus into it." Y/N explained, placing his casual clothes on his bed as he took off his mask and placed it next to his clothes. He was planning to take it with him and keep it hidden underneath his hoddie just in case if he will have to cover his face which will most likely happen.
"Nomus?" Origami titled her head to the side, "You're talking about the creature the League used at the USJ?" Y/N nodded in confirmation, "I didn't know you had more of them. If Shigaraki-kun is planning to unleash them into the city, then I assume your conversation with Stain in Hosu City didn't went any better than the one you in the bar?"
"Yeah. Shigaraki-kun wants to unleash Nomus into the city, because he wants the people to forget about him." Y/N replied, "Me and Kurogiri tried to talk him out of this but nothing was going to change his mind."
"I see." Origami nodded in understanding. She glanced to the side to look at the baking equipment Y/N was keeping in him room for a moment. She wondered why Y/N was keeping it in his room ever since she showed her around his room during her first night at this place, because she hadn't seen him use it ever since she joined the League. She looked back at him a second later with a questioning look on her face, "Do you want me to go with you?"
"I think I should go alone." Y/N responded, "There's a chance that at some point I will be have to cover my face with my mask and there's a chance that I might end up getting spotted by someone or something after I will put it on my face and just as Kurogiri said earlier, it would be better if your association with the League remained a mystery for now."
"Alright." Origami said in understanding.
"I should start getting ready. Could you, you know?" Y/N pointed at the clothes behind him. Origami looked at him in confusion, at first not realizing what Y/N wanted her to do.
"Oh, right." Origami blushed slightly in realization as she turned away from him and walked out of the room, wanting to give him some privacy when he was going to be changing from his villain costume into his casual clothes.
The dark green haired girl closed the door and leaned against the wall, waiting for Y/N to walk out of his room. He came out of his room a few moments later, now wearing his casual clothes. He and Origami exchanged glances before walking down the hallway back to the bar. After making their way to back to the bar, they saw Shigaraki standing in front of the TV, talking with All For one and Kurogiri standing next to the seats.
"...Sensei. How many Nomus have you finished?" Y/N and Origami heard Shigaraki ask All For One this question when they walked back into the bar.
"They're not a strong as the one from the USJ attack, but I've finished verifying the behavior of six." All For One replied.
"Give them to me." Shigaraki said.
"Why?" All For One wanted to know.
"Because I don't like the hero killer." Shigaraki explained, "I can destroy the things I don't like, right? Sensei?"
"Very well." All For One responded, "However, you may only have three. You should use this as a learning experience."
"Yes, Sensei." Shigaraki nodded his head at the TV after hearing how many Nomus All For One was allowing him to unleash into Hosu City before turning to look at Y/N, noticing that the h/c haired boy was now wearing his casual clothes, "Are you ready to head into the city?"
Y/N nodded in reponse, "Yes."
"Kurogiri." Shigaraki looked at Kurogiri the second he got the answer from Y/N, "Transport him to Hosu City"
"Of course." Kurogiri nodded, expanding his mist into a portal.
"Watch out for yourself." Origami said as Y/N walked towards the now fully formed portal.
"Yeah." Shigaraki rubbed his neck, "Try not to get caught before we will unleash Nomus into the city."
"Return to the water tower after Shigaraki Tomura will unleash Nomus into the city." Kurogiri said as Y/N was about to walk through the portal, "This is where I and Shigaraki Tomura will be after I will transport us back to Hosu City."
It was the last thing Y/N heard from his fellow villains from the League before stepping through the portal. He found himself on the same water tower as before. He took a good look at the city around him before using his Quirk to get himself off the roof. He made his way into a nearby alleyway, before walking into the streets, joining the crowds of regular people on the sidewalk who were minding their own business.
-----
It had been a while since Y/N went into Hosu City and the sun was starting to set at this point. Nothing unusual happened to him and or in Hosu City ever since he went into Hosu City on Shigaraki's orders. The entire city was bustling with activity today, the residents of this city seemingly didn't care about the Hero Killer making his appearence in the city a few days ago.
He looked in the direction of the water tower where Kurogiri was going to teleport Shigaraki and Nomus from the bar, wondering when Shigaraki was going to put his plan in action as Shigaraki still hasn't unleashed his Nomus into the city, almost as if he was waiting for something to happen before unleashing the creatures in the city. He was pulled away from his thoughts when bumped into someone.
Y/N looked at the person he had just bumped into. His eyes widened when he saw who it was. It was Tenya Iida. The same student from Class A he and Kurogiri had failed to keep away from the doors back at the USJ, because of his classmates keeping him distracted and him occupying himself with trying to reach him to properly make sure his classmates will stop attacking him.
Iida composed himself and looked at the person he had just bumped into before bowing to him in a apologetic manner, "I apologize for bumping into you. I was too focused on my sides to see you on my way."
"It's alright. I'm at fault here too. I wasn't paying attention where I was going either." Y/N admitted, rubbing the back of his head, "Hey. You're from U.A, aren't you? Iida Tenya, isn't it? I saw you at the sports festival a few days ago. What are you doing in Hosu?"
"I'm here on my internship at Manual's Hero Agency." Iida explained his reason for being in Hosu City.
Y/N titled his head to the side in a confused manner, "Manual's Hero Agency?"
"Manual is a Pro-Hero stationed here in Hosu City with his own agency." Iida explained, "How come you didn't know about it if you're living here?"
"I'm new to this city and I'm not exactly familiar with the heroes who are working in it." Y/N lied, using the most obvious lie he could think of right now, "Me and my family moved here yesterday. I'm taking a walk around this city to get to know it a bit better."
Iida nodded in understanding, "I see."
"I'm sorry about what happened to your brother." Y/N brought up Iida's brother as Iida flinched at the mention of him, "I heard about him and what happened to him in the news report after the festival."
"Thank you for the condolences." Iida replied. Y/N quickly noticed there was something off about the tone of his voice.
"I can't help but wonder about one thing, though." Y/N admitted, "Why did you choose to come to Hosu City out of all places? With your ranking third place at the festival, I would think you'd receive offers from the top heroes in this country. You didn't come here just because the Hero Killer's most recent attack was in this city, right?"
Iida remained silent and lowered his head a bit as he didn't answer to Y/N's question, forming a silence between him and the h/c haired boy.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't ask this question. I should have known it would be touchy subject for you." Y/N broke the silence that formed between them, taking Iida's silence an a confirmation to his question. He turned away from Iida and took one step away from him, "I will get going. I already took too much of your time and you most likely have to return to your own thing."
"I'm sorry if I made you feel bad." Iida said as Y/N stopped in his tracks and looked over his shoulder at him, "You were just expressing your concern for me, despise not knowing me. Everything is fine, I assure you."
Y/N silently nodded his head at Iida. He and Iida parted ways and went their own separate ways right after. The h/c haired boy didn't do much after his encounter with the U.A student. He continued to walk around in circles, waiting for Shigaraki to put his plan in action. Nothing unusual happened in the city since his encounter with Iida either, leaving the atmosphere in it completely calm.
The calm atmosphere in the city completely vanished when the sun came down and the moon came up. It was when a loud explosion sounded somewhere in the city. Y/N stopped in his tracks and looked in the direction of the explosion. The people who happened to be around him did the same, growing confused and worried by all this commotion. Y/N was the only exception and he knew exactly what just happened. Shigaraki finally unleashed Nomus into the city.
Not wasting any time, he quickly pushed himself into a run and began searching an empty alley where he could have put his mask over his face. He preferred to have his face covered by his mask when he will be floating his way from one roof to another just in case if anyone will spot him. It didn't took him long to find an empty alleyway. He quickly ran into it and hid behind a dumpster at the end of the alleyway, making sure no one would see him put his mask on himself if someone will happen to be passing by this alleyway right now.
He unzipped his hoddie and pulled out his mask after keeping it hidden underneath it ever since he entered the streets of Hosu City. He put it over his face before looking up at the roof of building next to him, feeling how red energy began to circle around his hands. He used his Quirk to float himself to the top of the building and once he was there, he looked in the direction of the explosion once more.
He nodded his head to himself, knowing where he should head go next. He began to float from one roof of the building to another, slowly making his way to the part of the city where the explosion happened, making sure to not get spotted by anyone in the process. He reached his destination a few moments later. He crouched down on the edge of the roof with the eyelids of his mask displaying two question marks, observing what was happening on the streets below him.
He saw how Nomus which were let into the city by Shigaraki continued to wreak havon in the city as the civilians were trying to escape from the monsters and the chaos and damage they were spreading. The Pro-Hero's stationed in this city were doing everything their power to defeat Nomus, but were getting easily overpowered by the creatures. One of them was even getting held up above the ground by his legs by a winged Nomu.
Y/N remained on his spot on the edge of the roof for a few minutes until the situation completely changed for the heroes with the arrival of two heroes. The first one was a short old man in a yellow and white hero costume. The h/c haired boy had no idea who this man was. He had never seen him before. He couldn't even recall him from the many times when Izuku showed him one of his notebooks with his notes about heros and Quirks.
The second hero to appear on the scene was the number two hero in Japan Endeavor. With the arrival of Endeavor at the scene, Y/N realized one thing. He realized it was his time to move and go back to Shigaraki and Kurogiri. He stood up from his crouching position and turned away from the fight between heroes and Nomus, using the fact that the heroes were too occupied with fighting Nomus to his advantage.
He was forced to stop on another roof of a building on a street which was completely calm compared the part of the city he was in a few moments ealier before he could his fellow villains from the League. He crouched down on the edge of the roof of the building when he saw Iida walk out of the alleyway. He wasn't alone. He was accompanied by Torodoki and Izuku who was being carried one the back of a Pro-Hero dressed like a Native American.
Y/N felt how his eyes snapped open in suprise a second later, the eyelids of his mask displaying two exclamation points to show how suprised he was by his recent observation. He leaned his head a bit closer to get a better look at the scene, wanting to be sure if his eyes were playing a trick on him. They weren't. He saw Stain. The Hero Killer was in bounds. He was defeated by Izuku and his classmates.
It was when an old short man from earlier arrived at the scene. He leaped from the other side of the street and kicked Izuku right in the face for some reason upon reaching him. He landed on the ground before Izuku and the rest as more heroes who were fighting Nomus a few moments earlier arrived at the scene, immediately noticing the Hero Killer in bounds.
Y/N stayed on his spot on the edge of the building for a few moments, waiting for the heroes to leave the scene as he didn't want to risk getting spotted them. He would return to what he was doing a few moments earlier if the heroes below him were occupied with something, because this way they most likely wouldn't notice him, but they weren't anything right now.
His attention was brought away from the heroes when he saw something flying towards them. It didn't took him long to notice what it was. It was the flying Nomu he had noticed in the city when he was observing the fight between Nomus and heroes arrived the scene. The flying Nomu came flying towards the group of heroes and picked up Izuku from the ground, beginning to take him away from the rest.
"Midoriya-kun!" Iida and Todoroki in worry for their classmate as Izuku was being taken away by Nomu.
Unbeknowst to all of them, Stain still had one knife hidden up his sleeve and was waiting for the right opportunity to use. The Hero Killer wasted no time in cutting his bounds. In the blink of an eye, he got up into a standing position and began running towards Nomu, making sure to lick the Nomu's blood off the woman's face. In an instant, Nomu was paralyzed mid-air as Stain used this to his advantage and ran past the heroes towards his new target.
"This society ovegrown with fake heroes." He growled as he jumped into the air, landing on Nomu's back, "And the criminals who wave their power around idly."
He stabbed Nomu right into it's exposed brain, making it fall down to the ground. The creature let go off Izuku and Stain grabbed him by the back of his costume as they fell down to the ground. Nomu slided across the sidewalk for a few seconds upon landing on the ground as Stain continued to hold Izuku, making sure to keep his knife deep in the brain of Nomu.
"...Should all be purged." He said with anger in his voice.
Izuku slowly looked up at the man who just saved him in fear and shock. The Heroes all froze in fear and shock after seeing how the Hero Killer just effortlessly took down a creature all of them were having so much trouble with a few moments earlier and would continue to have problems with if it was for the arrival of Endeavor. Even Y/N was shocked by this as he continued to watch everything from his position on the edge of the roof.
"This is all..." Stain growled out, drool dripping from his mouth as he twisted the knife in the creature's brain before rougly pulling out it, killing it, "...To create more than just society."
Izuku, Todoroki, Iida and the other heroes stared at the Hero Killer in horror, having watched how he had just claimed his new victim. The Hero Killer continued to stand above his most recent victim, having taken Izuku as his hostage after saving him.
The blond haired hero got herself into a fighting stance, readying herself to fight the Hero Killer, her colleagues following her example, "Get ready to fight!"
"Why are you all standing around in a group?" Endeavor asked upon arriving at the scene, seeing how all the heroes present at the scene were frozen in fear. They all shifted their attention from Stain to him, seeing how run down the street towards them, "The villain should've escaped this way." He turned to look in the direction everyone were staring at before his arrival and noticed the Hero Killer pinning Izuku to the ground, "But don't tell me that man is..."
"Let go!" Izuku shouted, trying to free himself from Stain's grasp, but the Hero Killer was too strong for him.
Stain looked over his shoulder and his eyes narrowed dangerously upon seeing who had just arrived at the scene before growling in rage, "Endeavor..."
Endeavor smirked, readying himself to attack the Hero Killer with a fire attack, "Hero Killer!"
"Wait, Todoroki!" The short old man shouted, his eyes widening in alarm as he held his hand out towards Endeavor.
"Endeavor." Stain growled, his mask falling off his face as he let go off Izuku and got himself into a standing position.
Izuku looked up at the Hero Killer and glared at him. His glare quickly vanished from his face, though after seeing the look Stain had on his face. The green haired boy froze in fear after seeing Stain's face, his legs screaming at him to remain on the ground. He wasn't the only one. The Heroes gathered at the scene were completely paralyzed by the fear too after seeing the expression the Hero Killer had on his face right now. It was a face of a madman who was beyong reasoning.
"You fake." Stain growled, his eyes filled with bloodlust and rage as he walked past Izuku, having lost his interest in him, "I must make things right." He stepped towards the group of Heroes who either froze up or took steps away from him. Even Y/N felt how chills went down his spine, despise keeping his distance from the scene, "Someone must be dyed in blood. I must take back what it means to be a hero! Come! Try and get make you fakes!" He stopped his in his tracks, blood exuding the most bloodthirsty aura, "The only one I'll let kill me is the true hero. All Might!"
His bloodthirsty aura rushed down the street, eventually reaching the terrified heroes who let out whimpers, one even falling down on the ground out of fear she was feeling right now. It was when Stain's knife fell out os his grasp and hit the ground. The heroes looked at the man who terrified them just a few seconds earlier and saw him standing in one place, with his eyes rolled backwards.
"He's unconscious." Endeavor stated, much to the relief of the heroes gathered at the scene.
Y/N let out a deep breath after watching the terrifying display below him, deciding it was his time to leave. Red energy began to circle around his hands as he was about to take off and float his way to the water tank where Shigaraki and Kurogiri were right now, but stopped himself from doing so. It was when he turned his attention to the sky as what sounded like helicopter rotors became audible.
He looked over his shoulder to where all this noise came from and saw a TV news helicopter flying in the distance. He wasn't suprised by the view of it. It was only a matter of time before one would appear. Seeing this helicopter only assured him that it was time for him to leave. He got up into a standing position and used his Quirk to float above the ground, making his way towards the water tank.
It didn't took him long to reach the water tank. Fortunately, the heroes in the city didn't notice him as too busy with Stain's unmoving unconscious body right now to notice him, just like he hoped they would. He floated his way to the water tower a few moments later, landing next to Kurogiri and behind Shigaraki who was observing the city through binoculars, scratching his neck. Even though he couldn't see Shigaraki's face, Y/N could imagine him having an angered frown on his face.
"Welcome back, Mask." Kurogiri greeted Y/N as soon as Y/N landed next to him, "I guess you saw everything that happened in town?"
"Yes. My position from the roof gave me a pretty good view at the entire scene." Y/N responded, "We should go. The TV news helicopter is heading this way."
"You heard him, Shigaraki Tomura." Kurogiri said to Shigaraki, "We must leave if we don't want to be spotted."
Shigaraki lowered the binoculars a few seconds later, using his Quirk to turn them into dust, "Let's go back."
"Were you satisfied with the results, Shigaraki Tomura?" Kurogiri asked, opening a portal around his fellow villains.
"Idiot. That depends on tommorow." Shigaraki replied as he and Y/N vanished within Kurogiri's portal, finding themselves back in the bar.
------
Welp, I think we all know who will be introduced in the next chapter.
The new Don't Hug Me I'm Scared series is great. It was totally worth the wait. I hope they will make season 2.
