Poverty
Izuku Midoriya couldn't stop smilling today. The days following the defeat and capture of Overhaul could easily be considered the good ones. After learning about everything Y/N did for Eri and how he helped him defeat Overhaul, more and more of his classmates followed the example of Bakugo, Ochaco and Asui became more open to the idea of saving his friend from the life of villainy that he thought was the best way of accomplishing his goals.
A few of his friends from his class remained a bit reluctant about his idea of saving Y/N, but he could see that even they were slowly leaning more towards his idea of saving Y/N. He was going to remain patient with them as he knew it was still a step in the right direction. Kirishima even commented about how manly it was of Y/N to stand up for Eri to make sure she won't have to go through the abuse he had to go through in his household.
Today was the day of the U.A School Festival and he knew he could definitely add this day to those good days as well, despite having a little incident with Gentle Criminal and La Brava before the festival began and him barely arriving for the concert he had prepared for his classmates in time. The said concert had gone well and more importantly they managed to make Eri smile. Eri smiled for the first time in he couldn't imagine how long.
Eri's bright smile and the way how excitedly she recalled the concert to him afterwards made all hard work he and his classmates had put into preparing it worth it. The time which he and Mirio had spent with her after the concert only confirmed him that it was a good day. Seeing Eri constantly smilling and enjoying her life like a kid her age should was enough to keep him smilling for the whole festival.
Izuku knew all the good things had to come to an end, though and knew this day of fun would come to an end by the time the sun would start going down from the top of the sky. Once the day reached this part of the day and the festival came to an end, he followed Mirio, Aizawa and Eri to the front entrance of U.A to say his goodbyes to Eri before Mirio would take her back to the hospital.
The green haired boy smiled down at Eri, "Thanks for today! It was fun!"
Eri nodded in agreement, staring at the ground, "Yeah."
"Eri." Midoriya called out for Eri as Eri looked up at him and saw him holding a candy apple. He beamed at her, "Surprise!"
Mirio gasped in suprise, "A candy apple? They were selling them? I couldn't find any!"
Looking at the program, I thought maybe there wouldn't be any, so I bought ingredients for it when I went out this morning. It was easier to make than I expected. The only thing I couldn't find at the convenience store was food coloring, so I borrowed some from Sato." Izuku explained to Mirio as Eri took the candy apple from his hand.
"Well, you should be able to see her again soon." Aizawa said as Eri took a bite of the candy apple.
Eri closed her eyes as she tasted the sweetness of the candy apple, smiling up at Midoriya with a bit of the candy glaze on her lip, "It's even sweeter!"
Izuku couldn't stop smilling, "I'll make it again. Look forward to it!"
"I will!" Eri smiled back at him. After finishing her candied apple, she reached into the little red purse she carried around and pulled out an envelope, "Deku. Can I ask you something. Your friends with Y/N, right?"
Izuku nodded in confirmation, "Yes. What is it?"
Eri held the envelope out to him, "Can you give it to him?"
Izuku raised his brow, "You wrote a letter for him?"
"Mirio came up with this idea. Since Y/N taught me how to write, I could write him a letter." Eri explained, still holding the envelope out to Izuku, "Can you give it to him the next time you'll see him? I want him to read this."
"Of course." Izuku nodded at her with a smile on his face as he took the envelope from Eri and gently put it inside his letter, making sure not to crush it. H couldn't help but ask himself what was the contests of the letter Eri wrote to Y/N as he carefully stored it inside his pocket. He knew there was only one way of finding out. It was giving the said letter to Y/N and seeing him open it, "You'll see, Eri. Y/N will be here next year to spend the school festival with us."
Eri nodded at him with a bright smile on her face as the thought of it made her feel happy on the inside, "Okay."
"Alright. Eri. We must go." Aizawa said.
Eri looked over her shoulder at him and nodded. She shifted her gaze back to Izuku a second later for a brief moment, "Bye, Deku."
Izuku smiled and nodded at her, "Bye, Eri. I'll see you soon."
Aizawa set his eyes on Mirio, "Can you go with her? I'll join you in moment. I need to talk with Midoriya about something in private."
"Of course." Mirio said, holding his hand out to Eri, "Let's go, Eri-chan."
"Okay." Eri nodded at Mirio as she walked over to him and grabbed his hand. Both of them started to walk away from Izuku and Aizawa right after, distancing themselves from them.
"You know." Aizawa began as soon as Eri found herself out of hearing range as he and Izuku watched her walk away with Mirio, "She often stares at the door to her hospital room as she hopes to see L/N walk through them. She doesn't think of him as a villain. She views him as a hero."
Izuku smiled, "Because that's what Y/N is to her. He stepped in to help her and save her when no one she was all alone. He even left her in our hands, despite having a chance to bring her into the League with him as he knew his lifestyle wouldn't find someone her age. That's what heroes do."
"It will not change the fact that he has homicide on him and multiple other villanous actions." Aizawa pointed out as detective Asano's words flew through Izuku's mind. Just as Izuku was about to say something about it, his homeroom teacher continued, "After everything I heard about him from Eri since we saved her, I won't deny the fact that he could have been a hero. Maybe something bad happened to him which I can see happening after what came out about his parents. Maybe he was born in the wrong place. Maybe he thought choosing such path was the best thing he could do in his situation. I promised Eri I'd find him and promised I'd do what I can do to save him. If he will agree to come with us once we will confront him, he'll be put him into rehabilitation."
Izuku smiled at Aizawa gratefully, appreciating his words, "Thank you, Aizawa-sensei. Thank you."
Aizawa nodded at him and pushed himself into walk, following Mirio and Eri. Izuku watched him walk away from several seconds until Aizawa caught up to Eri and Mirio. After seeing his homeroom teacher reach them, Izuku turned away from them and walked back into U.A with a smile evident on his face. Not wasting any time, he started to make his way into school where he suspected his classmates to be.
"Your little club of 'We're going to save L/N' is growing." Izuku's stopped in his tracks at the sound of this voice and turned around to source of it. He saw Bakugo leaning against the wall, with his hands in his pockets, "All Might just talked with me and he told me Aizawa-sensei came to him to talk about L/N when you were with Eri. He told me he is more open to the idea of saving L/N from the life he currently has after what everything he did for Eri."
Izuku smiled at him, "So you already know about that, Kacchan."
"It was hard no to." Bakugo pointed out, "It's rare not to see you talking about it since since he helped you defeat Overhaul."
"I'm just glad everyone are starting to see Y/N for the person he is on the inside. Not for the person he thinks he needs to be to accomplish his goals." Izuku pointed, his smile growing wider as determination became evident in his voice when he uttered the next words, "You'll see, Kacchan. Y/N will come with us the next time we'll see him. We're going to save him."
Bakugo silently nodded at him and pushed himself into walk towards U.A as Izuku followed him. He left himself in his thoughts regarding Y/N as they proceeded to make their way towards U.A. He didn't expect Y/N to forgive him for what he did to him. The way Y/N interacted with him back in Camino Ward made him certain that he hated his guts. The least he could do right now was to atone for his past actions with his current actions and fix the mess his actions had helped create.
------
The last several days have been tough for the League and it was just a gentle way of putting it. If Y/N was honest with himself, he wasn't sure if the situation in the league was as bad as it is now. The League had already went through rough times such as the aftermath of the USJ attack and the loss of most of it's members in this attack or the capture of All For One in Camino Ward, but in both cases they didn't have to face the problem they faced now. The said problem was poverty.
This problem became more apparent to them with each passing day since catching Kurogiri as they realized they had less and less money to purchase things which they would normally purchase without any problem. Knowing they had to get rid of this problem as soon as possible, they immediately started anything they could to improve their financial situation and came up with various methods of overcoming it.
The first and most obvious method was using Origami's Quirk to craft weapons and selling them to Giran. Origami was fine with this idea as she knew it was a good way of helping the League. Unfortunely this idea took them nowhere because Giran told them that he couldn't buy any weapons from them now because he had no buyers for them when they contacted him. This left them with only way out of this situation. Stealing whatever worth selling they could find and selling it at the pawn shops.
Their newest mission with finding Doctor was not going according to their thoughts as well they had become closer to locating him at all. This man was a living ghost and it was just a gentle way of putting it. Even Giran couldn't help them with locating him as even he had no idea what were Doctor's whereabouts, having lost contact with him after the capture of All For One just like Shigaraki and Y/N.
Their lack of success at finding Doctor irritated Shigaraki as it meant they had no idea of making more of Overhaul's Quirk erasing bullets. Even Y/N couldn't help himself and be slightly irritated at their mission of finding him not having any progress, despite lasting several days at this point. Both of them knew they couldn't let this discourage them and continued their attempts at finding him, hoping one day Lady Luck will smile down upon them and give them a good lead.
Twice tried to copy the bullets with his Quirk the day after Shigaraki and Y/N revealed their next idea of finding Doctor to the League, but the results of it were far from perfect as Twice was unable to copy it without having any data on this. Twice was really sad he couldn't help the League and was left feeling really down about it, despite Y/N and Toga comforting him there'll be a day when he will save their butts.
The matter of Origami's ability of creating more of those bullets with her Quirk was brought up by the League as well. They knew they couldn't exclude this possibility and Origami herself agreed with them on this matter. Unfortunely they had no way of finding out about it right now as Origami wasn't capable of creating any bullets as of now. They had to patiently wait for Quirk to evolve until they will receive the answer to this matter. When it was going to happen? They had no idea.
Y/N looked around himself, walking towards the abandoned looking building in front of him as Mr. Compress, Mustard, Tengai and Rappa followed him towards it. The five of them were tasked with searching the said building for anything they could sell. It used to serve as a den for the group of thieves which were recently caught by Kazane Kuraishi otherwise known as a Pro-Hero Octopus and they weren't coming back to it anytime soon.
According to the info they received from Giran about the said den, they shouldn't worry about heroes jumping at them if they'll check it. It left the five members of the League hopeful about finding something which could even slightly improve their bad money situation. Unless it was already raided by someone. They knew they couldn't exclude the possibility of someone having already raided the den.
They weren't the only members of the League on a mission right now as Shigaraki, Magne, Twice and Spinner left their current hideout alongside them and split up from them shortly after. The said four left on a mission of trying to find something that could help them locate Doctor. Toga and Origami were left behind in their current hideout, keeping their stuff safe and Dabi was out doing his stuff as usual.
Mustard pointed at the building in front of the group of five villains as they neared it, "Is this the place?"
"Yeah." Y/N nodded in confirmation, "This is the den Giran told us about. According to him, we should find some stuff which will help us with our poor financial situation. Unless someone else was here before us."
"Let's hope it didn't happen, then." Mr. Compress said.
Mustard nodded in agreement, "Yeah. It would be nice if lucky finally smiled down on us after those last several days."
"I said a prayer for this mission a few minutes before we headed out. Hopefully it worked." Tengai said.
Mr. Compress nodded at him, "I'll my fingers crossed for your prayer, Hekiji-kun."
Y/N stopped in front of the front door to the den and grabbed the door handle. He looked over his shoulder at Mustard, Mr. Compress, Tengai and Rappa. All four of them nodded at him, letting him know they were ready without saying anything to him. Y/N turned back nodded back at him and shifted his gaze back to the door. Not wasting any time, he pushed it open and moved inside, followed by the rest.
The h/c haired boy looked around the place as soon as he entered, feeling how his red energy started to circle around his hands as he wanted to make sure he and his fellow members of the League were the only people inside right now. He wasn't the only one. The rest prepared themselves to strike their opponent if someone was inside the place and would come at them as well.
Mustard pulled out his pistol, keeping it aimed at the area in front of him as Mr. Compress pulled out a few marbles containing large rocks or pieces of debris, ready to throw them if the situation would require of him to do so. Rappa had his fists in ready, excitedly looking around himself for the possible fight as Tengai prepared himself to use his Quirk to create protective shield around himself and his fellow members of the League.
Upon making sure there was no one else in this place beside them, the five members of the League lowered their guard and allowed themselves to take a good look around the place to see if there was anything worth taking from there at the first place. The first impression this place gave them at the first place was far from perfect if they were honest with themselves as it looked like someone had already raided this place before them.
Mustard sighed, shaking his head at the state of this place, "Dammit. This doesn't look good."
"Let's hope that appearances are deceptive and they just hid everything well." Y/N said, feeling less hopeful about finding anything in this place after taking a good look around it.
Mr. Compress nodded in agreement, "I could have put it better myself, Y/N. Let's split up and search the place. Hopefully coming here wasn't a complete waste of time."
"Okay. Everyone. Let's get to it." Y/N said. It was everything he had to say. Not wasting any time, the group of five villains split up around the place with the intention of searching every corner of it with hopes of finding anything with any value.
"A shame there wasn't anyone here. I was hoping for a good fight." Rappa said, letting out a sigh as he and Tengai went to one part of the place together, "It's been several days since we joined the League and we're still nowhere close near the fight I was promised."
"I'm sure the fight you've been promised by Y/N will come sooner or later, Rappa. You just need to be patient for it and I'm certain your patience will pay off in the end." Tengai told him.
Rappa silently nodded at him and both him and Tengai got to searching through their part of this place right after. They weren't the only ones. Y/N, Mustard and Mr. Compress wasted no time and began searching their parts of the place as well. Unfortunely as they continued to search the place, one thing became more apparent to them. It was the fact that this place had nothing that would improve their poor financial situation.
Y/N shook his head to himself, letting out a sigh as he tossed one item behind him, knowing it wasn't something he and his fellow members of the League could sell. The fact that it seemed broken only reassured him in this conviction. It looked like he and his fellow members of the League will come back from this mission unsuccessful unless the rest will be more lucky than him and will suddenly come across a treasure of some kind.
"Hey." Mustard's voice sounded behind him, making him stop what he was doing. He turned around to look at him and saw his fellow villain one small item, "Tell me you had more luck than I had. I only found this little thing in the stuff I just went through."
Y/N shook his head at him, "I'm sorry. I got nothing."
Mustard sighed, "Shit."
"Yeah." Y/N nodded in agreement, agreeing with his description of their situation as he pointed at Mustard's finding, "Do you think we will get anything for it at the pawn shop?"
"I dunno." Mustard gave him an honest answer, "It took it from my pile as it was the only thing that seemed to have any value and didn't seem broken."
"I see you two had no bigger luck than myself." Mr. Compress said, having just approached the two teens as Y/N and Mustard looked at him. He held three marbles out to them, each containing one item he took from his pile, "I only found three items myself. Even if they will accepted into the pawn shop, I don't think we will get many money from them."
"I see." Y/N couldn't help himself and let out a sigh, "Looks like we continue to live on instant noodles and cheap water for now on."
"Yummy. I can already taste the noodles. They have become my staple food at this point." Mustard said with sarcasm evident in his voice, "Looks like we will need to have a talk with Giran about him telling us to check out this place and tell him to get his intel right the next time we'll talk with him unless Rappa and Tengai-kun will find anything of value."
"It can't be entirely Giran's fault. Perhaps someone was here before us." Mr. Compress pointed out.
Mustard shrugged, "Maybe. It's not like we will ever find out."
"Hmm. Interesting..." Tengai's voice caused Y/N, Mustard and Mr. Compress to shift their attention to him and Rappa.
"You like this kind of thing, right?" Rappa asked as Y/N, Mustard and Mr. Compress exchanged questioning glances with each other, wondering about what the two former yakuza members were talking about. Not wasting any time, the three of them moved towards Rappa and Tengai, interested to find out what they had just found.
"What did you find?" Y/N asked, having reached the two former yakuza members with Mustard and Mr. Compress a few seconds later.
Tengai turned around to look at the three members of the League and showed them his and Rappa's recent finding. It was an old polaroid camera, "An old polaroid camera."
"Polaroid? They still make these?" Mustard asked, sounding slightly suprised by Rappa and Tengai's finding.
"You'd be suprised, Mustard." Tengai said, "Those kind of cameras are still popular among people interested in photography, despite being outdated compared to the camera they make nowadays."
Mustard hummed in understanding, "Well, shit. Everyday's a school day."
Y/N looked at Tengai with an interested look on his face, "How do you know about this, Tengai-kun? Are you interested in photography?"
Tengai nodded in confirmation, "It was something I liked to do in my free time."
Mr. Compress chuckled, tipping his hat, "A hobby fitting of a gentleman such as yourself and myself, huh?"
Tengai nodded at him, letting out a chuckle of his own, "You can say that."
"Why didn't you tell us about this interested of yours sooner?" Y/N wanted to know.
"Never got a chance to share it." Tengai explained as Y/N nodded at him in understanding.
"You should have seen the pictures Tengai took with his old cameras." Rappa added, "I can tell they were pretty great, even though I don't know much about this kind of thing myself."
Tengai sighed, "It's just a shame we had to leave everything behind in the yakuza after heroes and the police raided it."
"I see. A shame it was left behind. I would love to see it." Mr. Compress said, "You can always re-make your collection."
"Does this Polaroid even work?" Mustard asked, "It looks pretty old if you ask me."
"There's only one way to find out." Y/N said as he nodded his head at Tengai, letting him know he could test this polaroid out right now if he wanted to.
Tengai nodded back at him, appreciating him allowing him to test it out. He wasted no time and allowed himself to test his newest finding out. He pointed the camera towards the empty space in front of them and clicked on it. Much to everyone's suprise, the flash shined across the place and the picture came out of the polaroid a few seconds later. To everyone's bigger suprise, the picture ended up coming out well in the end.
After everyone made sure to voiced just how much suprised by they were by this old polaroid apparently still working, Y/N asked Rappa and Tengai if they found anything else other than the other said camera. Other than this old polaroid, they managed to find two things which could be of some little value at the pawn shop. It didn't make the members of the League any less disappointed by how little things of value they found in this den, but it was still something right?
The five members of the League left the place shortly after and headed towards the pawn shop where Tengai and Rappa would try to sell their findings from this place, intending to make it back to their current hideout before the sun will come down.
------
Origami walked down the hallway of the abandoned building the League had taken shelter in yesterday, making her way to the room where she and the rest of the League were keeping their supplies in as she had just finished her daily training session. She and Toga were the only members of the League in the building right now their organization had taken shelter in yesterday, the rest having gone on the own missions they have planned for today and having left them her to guard the little stuff they had.
Y/N, Mustard, Mr. Compress, Tengai and Rappa still haven't returned from their mission of gathering the supplies they could possibly sell to gain more money and make their money problem smaller than all of them wanted it to be. The same went for Shigaraki, Spinner, Twice and Magne who still haven't returned from their mission on trying to find some information on this Doctor person as well. Dabi wasn't nowhere to be seen as well, whatever he was doing right now.
She stopped in her tracks for a few seconds as she reached the doorway to one room in the building. She stopped in the doorway to the said room and took a look into it. It didn't took her long to notice a few holes in the walls. It didn't took her long to figure out where those holes came from as she knew this room was the place where Y/N and Rappa had their training session today after they settled down in this building for the night.
She knew it took place in this room as she was there to watch the training session, having nothing else to do when it happened. She wouldn't call the said training session nothing special as it was just Y/N and Rappa trading punches with each other. It look like the training sessions she and Y/N had together in the bar only this time Y/N didn't have to practice his punches on the training dummy and had someone who could show him how to improve his fighting skills.
The dark green haired felt slightly saddened by Y/N having found another training partner as they didn't train together as much as they used to because of it. She considered asking Y/N and Rappa if she could join them for their training sessions and improve her hand-hand skills as a result of this, but backed out of it after giving it some thought as Rappa's fighting style didn't exactly fit her if she was honest with herself. Rappa's fighting style was just too chaotic for her.
She turned away from Y/N and Rappa's training room and once again pushed herself into walk, leaving herself with her thoughts as she started to make her way towards the room where the League was keeping their supplies in. There was something she couldn't help but notice in some of the interactions she had with Y/N over the course of the last several days. In some interactions he seemed normal, but in others he seemed more awkward. Like some topics were suddenly way more awkward for him to talk with her.
"...Origami-chan!" Toga's voice pushed her out of her thoughts as soon as she reached the room where the League was keeping their supplies. She stopped in the doorway to the room and saw her friend sitting at the table, playing with her knife just like she usually did whenever there was nothing happening around her, "There you are. Your training session took you a bit longer than I expected."
Origami smiled at her as walked over to Toga and stopped in front of her, "You say it everytime when I finish my training session, Toga-chan."
"I know." Toga admitted with a smile on her face, "It doesn't change the fact how long your training sessions can get sometimes, especially when you're training with Y/N."
"I know." Origami nodded, admitting Toga to be right. A small sigh escaped her lips right after, "Just a shame he couldn't join me today."
Toga waved it off, "Don't worry. I'm sure he'll join us tommorow."
Origami once again nodded at her, "Maybe. Unless his training with Rappa will once again take most of his training time."
Toga smiled at Origami playfully, "What's wrong, Origami-chan? Are you jealous of Y/N finding a second training partner?"
Origami immediately shook her head at her suggestion, feeling herself becoming embarassed as she knew it was the truth, "No! I just wish we could train together as much as we used to before Overhaul happened..."
"You can always ask him and Rappa if you can join them for the training. I'm sure Y/N would be happy to see you join them and Rappa wouldn't mind it because of him liking Y/N." Toga pointed out, unaware her friend had already considered such option.
"I already thought about it." Origami informed her, "Rappa's fighting style doesn't really suit me."
"It's too chaotic for you?" Toga wanted to know.
"Yeah." Origami nodded in confirmation, "I think some martial arts would suit me more after I gave myself more thought about it. Too bad no one in the League is experience in this kind of thing."
"Don't worry. I'm sure there'll be a day when someone experience in this kind of thing will join us." Toga reassured Origami as Origami nodded at her. The blond haired girl looked at her friend with a slightly impressed look on her face right after, "Wow. You really put a lot of thought into your training."
Origami rubbed the back of her head, "I just want to make sure I'll be ready no matter what happens. I care about all of you very much and I want to be as helpful to you as I can."
"Ah, Origami-chan! That's so cute!" Toga smiled at her, putting her hand on her heart as Origami blushed in embarassment at the way her friend worded her praise, "How about your training sessions? Have they been paying off?"
Origami looked at her questioningly, "What do you mean?"
Toga gestured to her stomach, "You know what I mean. Can you feel your abs forming? Can you feel yourself getting stronger?"
Origami put her hand on her stomach and looked down at it for a second, before looking up to look at Toga again, "I guess so?"
Toga smiled at her proudly, "Great! I'm so proud of you. Perharps there'll be a day when you'll be as strong as Big Sis Magne."
"Maybe one day." Origami couldn't help themselves and smiled at the thought. She shifted her gaze away from Toga to the food supplies in the room, "I'll be back in a moment. I need to prepare myself something to eat."
Toga nodded at her with her smile still evident on her face, "Okay. Need to make sure your body will be ready to form a weapon when the need will arise, huh?"
"Yeah." Origami nodded in confirmation. Just as she was about to make her way to the food supplies, Toga asked her something and this question made her change her plans about getting something to eat.
"Origami-chan. What do you think about my Quirk?" Toga asked, her tone become more serious all of a sudden as her smile faded away from her face and was replaced with a completely serious look on her face. Origami had to admit something to herself as she laid her eyes back on Toga. It was kind of strange to see Toga so serious about something, "Now that I think about you never told me what you think about my Quirk."
Origami rubbed the back of her head, doing her best to come up with a perfect way how to voice her thoughts about Toga's Quirk, "...I-I think it's pretty cool once you get to know more about it. It's pretty useful. I-I don't mean in it's just in a villain way! If you didn't become a villain, I can imagine you using it as police detective on the crime scene. You could use the blood the suspect would leave on the scene and turn into them, confirming their identity. It's just a shame many people write it off as a villanous Quirk. People shouldn't be defined by what kind of Quirk they have. I think you're pretty coo..."
"Y-you.. that's so―Origami-chan, you really care, don't you? You-you don't think I'm some sort of f-freak?" Toga stuttered out tearfully the further Origami went into her thoughts on her Quirk, cutting her friend off and preventing her more saying more. From the look she had on her face right now, Origami could immediately tell her friend was on the verge of tears.
"No." Origami shook her head at the suggestion of her thinking of Toga as a freak as she was taken aback by Toga's emotional reaction, "We're supposed to be besties. Aren't we?"
"Origami-chan! Thank you!" Toga happily expressed her gratitidue as she leaped towards Origami and wrapped her arms around the confused girl, embracing her in a tight hug to show her much her hearing something like this from someone she considered her friend meant to her. She put her head on Origami's right shoulder and sniffed into it, making it more wet with her tears. The dark green haired girl shook off her suprised reaction a second later as she slowly melted into the hug and hugged her friend back.
"It was no problem." Origami said, unsure of how else she should reply to Toga's expression of gratitude as she was still taken aback by her friends emotional reaction, "Just like I said earlier, we're supposed to be besties. Right?"
"Yeah." Toga nodded in agreement as she put her head away from Origami's shoulder and wiped the tears from her eyes into her sleeve. She smiled at Origami and she asked, "You know. I think I found a way how we can kill some time before the rest will come back?"
Origami looked at her curiously, "What do you have in mind?"
"D'ya wanna paint your nails with me? I can't really paint my nails, because the nail polish gets into cuts of my fingers and stuff, but I can paint yours. I already have some experience with it as I used to paint..." Toga's words died in her throat as she looked at Origami's prosthetic arm, having forgotten about her friend faving only one hand for a second. She looked at her with an apologetic look on her face, realizing the mistake she made by asking her friend about it, "I'm sorry, Origami-chan. I was so happy that I forgot you lost one of your hands because of Overjerk."
"Don't worry. I'm not angry. Sometimes even I forget that it's not my real arm." Origami assured her that no harm was done as showed her off her remaining left hand to make her friend feel less guilty, "I still have my left hand, right? You can do my toenails too."
"Alright!" Toga's expression lit up as soon as she heard those words, happiness replacing the guilt she was feeling for the last several seconds. She shifted her gaze away from Origami for a second second and pointed towards the table she was sitting at when her friend walked into the room, "Take your seat and I'll prepare the equipment for this that I've been keeping in my stuff."
Origami nodded in understanding as she walked over to the table and took her seat on the chair across from the side of the side Toga was sitting at a few moments earlier as she reached into her bag, searching for the nail polish she would use to paint Origami's nails. Origami shifted her attention from Toga as she continued to search her bag and started preparing herself to have her nails painted. She reached down towards her boots and took them off, leaving herself barefooted.
After she set her boots aside and touched the floor with her barefeet, she shifted her gaze back to Toga and saw her pulling out her supply of nail polish out her bag. Much to Origami's suprise, she didn't saw only one or two. She saw a few of them. She to admit one thing to herself. Toga pulled out much more nail polish than she expected her friend to own. Her friend had various colors. Such as pink, purple, black, blue and red. The presence of the red color among Toga's nail polish didn't suprise Origami one bit.
She looked at Toga with a suprised look on her face, finding herself interested in the dark blue color, "You really have so many of those, even though you can't paint your own nails?"
"Of course." Toga nodded in confirmation, keeping a firm grip on her nail polish to make sure it won't fall to the floor as she made her way to the table and took her seat across from Origami.
"But I've never seen you use any of them." Origami pointed out with confused look on her face.
"I was just waiting for the right opportunity. Who knows when I would come across someone who would be interested in this idea." Toga explained, getting a nod of understanding from Origami as she put her nail polish on the table between them. She pointed between them right after, smilling at her friend, "Which one do you like?"
Origami immediately pointed at the dark blue one, "This one."
"You really like blue don't you?" Toga asked her friend, her smile refusing to leave her face, "Your jammies back in the bar were dark blue as well."
"Yes. Blue has always been my favourite color." Origami nodded in confirmation. She blushed slightly in embarassment, rubbing the back of her head, "As I kid I was always telling my dad to buy me something in this color..."
Toga smiled at her reassuringly, "Don't worry. You having to have your favourite color involved in some things is nothing to be embarassed about. I mean, look at me and how much I love beautiful red!"
Origami nodded at her, feeling less embarassed now as she gestured to the nail polish Toga had just placed on the table, "Where did you get this nail polish in the first place?"
"Remember when both of us laid low along with Y/N and Hiroto-kun back in Hiroto-kun's old hideout after our hideout in the bar was raided?" Toga asked as Origami nodded in confirmation, "I managed to snatch some of those during one of the shopping trips for food I took back then."
Origami raised her brow, "No one noticed you stealing them?"
"Nope." Toga shook her head with a proud look on her face, "I did tell you I'm an expert is staying out of someone's view, right?"
Origami nodded and smiled at her, "Right."
"Alright." Toga said as she took dark blue nail polish and pulled the brush out from it, "Let's get to it. Shall we~?"
Origami once again nodded at her and moved her left hand closer to Toga, letting her friend start her job. Both girl stayed silent as Toga brushed Origami's nails with Origami's most beloved color. Origami silently watched how Toga painted her nails on her good hand, wondering what she should do right now. Should she try to talk with Toga or should she stay silent and not distract her from her job. She had never done anything like this before as she never had a friend she could do this with. She couldn't even remember the last time when she had her nails painted. If she ever had them painted.
She didn't have to figure out this answer as Toga looked up from her work at her for a second. Origami could immediately notice a teasing look slowly growing on her friends face, "You know perharps Y/N will like it if he'll see you with painted nails~. He hasn't seen you with them painted, yet. Right?"
Origami blushed in embarassment, realizing Toga was about to start her usual teasing, "Toga-chan. Please. Don't start with this now."
"What? Am I in the wrong for trying to help my bestie out with her crush?" Toga asked, "Have you decided about trying to talk with Y/N about your feelings for him? Some time has already passed since me and Big Sis Magne helped you realize it."
Origami shook her head, her blush becoming more evident on her face, "No."
Toga looked at her questioningly, "Why?"
"I'm just too nervous to talk with him about it with him." Origami gave her an honest answer, "What if he doesn't feel the same way?"
"You can always stay friends if Y/N doesn't feel the same way about you." Toga pointed out, going back to her work on Origami's nails and thought to herself aftewards, "Which I can't see happening to be honest, but I can't exclude such possibility as it can still happen. I won't admit it out loud to her as it will just make her less certain about it."
"Would we be able to stay friends at all if he doesn't feel the same way? I can already tell how awkward things would get between us." Origami voiced her thoughts on this matter, "It would just ruin everything between us. I care about Y/N a lot. He was the first real friend I've ever had and I don't want this to be ruined."
"I see." Toga nodded in understanding. She would try to make Origami change her mind, but Origami seemed pretty certain about keeping her feelings for herself in fear of ruining the friendship she had with Y/N. Toga knew she had to respect her choice even if it was a choice Toga disagreed with. Something on the back of her head was telling something would happen to make Origami change her mind on the matter of her telling Y/N how she felt about him. She didn't know what it would be but, something was telling her something would happen to make Origami change her mind.
Origami looked at Toga with a slightly suprised look on her face, suprised by her friend giving her a short answer to acceptance, "What? I'm sorry if this will make you angry or offend you in some way, but I thought you'd try to change my mind because of how much you like to tease me about it..."
"Just because I like to tease you about it pretty often doesn't mean I will force you something into something you don't want to do, Origami-chan. I still think you should tell Y/N how you feel about him, but in the end that's your choice to make." Toga explained.
Origami smiled gratefully at Toga, appreciating her friends for being understanding, "I see. Thank your for being understanding, Toga-chan."
"Anytime. I'm supposed to be your bestie, right? No matter what happens, me and Bis Sis Magne will always be there to cheer on you." Toga smiled back at her, beginning to work on Origami's last nail. Her expression became more teasing a second later as she found a perfect way she could tease her friend again, "I can imagine the confession scene between you two as something extremely sweet like the best kind of blood. You could even try to use your assets to seduce him afterwards. You still haven't told me whether your E size or higher, by the way. Perharps I would end up with a godchild as result of that~."
"Godchild?" Origami's eyes snapped open at Toga's suggestion as Toga's favourite color overcame her face, "T-Toga-chan! W-Why would you suggest something like that! Me and Y/N aren't together and we're way too young to have a child!"
Toga's teasing smile continued to grow the further she into her teasing, "Even if you're too young for it right now, it doesn't change the fact that I can dream of being the cool godmother of your child, right? You would make the godmother of your child. Right?"
Origami stayed silent, refusing to answer to Toga's question as she was too embarassed to answer to it right now.
"Come on!" Toga insisted, "You would be a kickass mom and I would be a kickass aunt. I even told Y/N how great you two would take care of Eri-chan together when both of us and Jin-kun were figuring out what to do with her." Origami once again stayed silent as Toga moved the brush away from her finger, having just finished paiting the fingers on her remaining hand. She decided her friend had already suffered through enough teasing from her for now and decided to ask her if she liked her work instead, "Aaand done~! What do you think?"
Origami looked down at her painted finger and felt a small smile growing on her face at the view of, feeling her embarassment from the teasing Toga gave her a few seconds earlier slowly fading away. She looked up at Toga a second later and smiled at Toga gratefully, "It looks beautiful. Thank you for doing, Toga-chan."
"Glad you liked it. Thought I should do my best since it was my idea in the first place." Toga smiled back at her, putting the brush back inside the nail polish as got up from her seat and picked up dark blue nail polish, "Alright. With your hand done, let's take care of your toenails. Keep your hand on the table to make sure your the nail polish on your nails will dry up."
"Okay." Origami nodded, keeping her left hand on the table just as she was told as Toga approached her.
"Brats. What are you doing?" A familiar male voice echoed from the entrance to the room. Toga and Origami paused what they were doing for a second and saw Dabi walking towards them with his usual disinterested expression present on his face.
Toga smiled at him, "Just doing some girl stuff and talks, Dabi-kun~. Why you are asking? Are you interested in the girl stuff?"
"Not really. Do I look like someone who would be interested in this type of stuff, you psycho?" Dabi shook his head, rolling his eyes at the question he was just asked by Toga. He looked around himself with a questioning look on his face, "Where's the rest? I was told this is where you stayed for the night yesterday and you two are the only ones I saw from the team so far."
"Everyone is on their missions right now." Origami began her explanation, "Y/N, Kataoka-kun, Atsuhiro-kun, Tengai-kun and Rappa went to search an old den of some group of thieves in order to find anything we could sell and improve our money situation and Shigaraki, Spinner, Magne and Twice left to look for any information that could get us closer to finding Doctor."
Dabi's eyes narrowed at the second part of Origami's answer, "Doctor, huh?"
Origami nodded in confirmation, "Yeah. I can't tell you much about him, though as only Y/N and Shigaraki talked with him directly in our organization. It was a long time since they talked to him too..."
"Don't bother. I'm not interested in knowing much about him, anyway." Dabi shrugged his shoulders. There was something off about his tone when he talked about Doctor, though. Neither Toga or Origami made a comment about it. They wouldn't even get a chance to do so as Dabi asked them something right after, "What about you two? What are you doing here?"
"Shigaraki wanted us to stay here and keep an eye on our stuff while he and the others will be someplace else on their missions." Origami explained.
"Keep an eye on the few things which are actually worth stealing from us right now." Toga added.
"I see." Dabi gave them a small nod of understanding, "If you have a job, what do you do? Shouldn't you keep your eyes open instead of doing whatever bullshit you are doing right now?"
Toga waved his concerns off, "Come on, Dabi-kun! What's wrong with me and Origami-chan wanting to have some fun together when there's no one else around. With Y/N not around right now, I know I can talk with her about some stuff without having to worry about him overhearing our conversation."
"Whatever." Dabi replied as he turned away from Toga and Origami, intending to walk out of the room, "Good thing the rest are someplace else right now. It means I'll have some peace and quiet to rest."
"Can I ask you something?" Origami asked as Dabi pushed himself into walk towards the exit from the room.
Dabi stopped in his tracks and looked over his shoulder at her, "What?"
"How did it go?" Origami revealed her question to him, "The usual stuff you're reading whenever you're heading out?
"The same as usual otherwise I wouldn't come here alone. The streets are littered with thrash. At least they make for good fuel." Dabi replied as he once again pushed himself into walk and walked out of the room, vanishing from Toga and Origami's view.
Toga shook her head with an amused look on her face, "Who is he trying to fool with this behavior? I can see why he likes to be around Hiroto-kun so much."
Origami looked at her questioningly, "What do you mean?"
Toga shifted her gaze to Origami and explained what she meant to her, "Come on, Origami-chan. Don't tell me you don't see it too? Dabi-kun acts just like Hiroto-kun when we first met him. Hiroto-kun tried to push everyone away from as well. At least until you saved his butt when we attacked the summer camp."
Origami put her hand on her chin with a thoughtful look on her face, "Now that you say it, I can see a few similarities. Only difference being Dabi didn't come around and he was in the League longer than Kataoka-kun."
Toga shrugged, "It takes longer for some people to open up. You'll see. Dabi-kun will come around one day, just like Hiroto-kun did. You'll see. There'll be a day when we'll get a hug out of him!"
Origami smiled at her, "We'll see."
"Okay. Let's get back to it. Shall wee?" Toga said as she crouched down in front of Origami. She wasted no time and started to give her friends toenails the same treatment she gave to the nails on her left hand as Origami looked down at her friend. The two friends started another conversation with each other shortly after, enjoying their time together as friends.
------
The sun was slowly starting to go down when Y/N pushed the door to the League's current shelter and walked into it. He stepped the side upon entering it, making sure to keep the door open as Mustard, Mr. Compress, Rappa and Tengai wasted no time and, one by one, followed him into the abandoned building. After making sure everyone was inside the building, the h/c haired boy closed the door behind everyone.
Mustard set his eyes on Mr. Compress and saw him counting the money they made from selling most of the stuff they made today in a pawn shop. He shook his head at the little amount of money he saw in his hands, "Well. This was a huge waste of time if you ask me."
Mr. Compress stopped counting the money and put everything in his pocket, "At least we will manage to keep ourselves fed for another week with the money we have made today. It of course will be just instant noodles and the cheapest water you can get in a store, but it's still better than nothing. I won't deny the fact that this could have done better, though."
"I suppose we'll have to wait until another day." Tengai said, "Perharps this is when Lady Luck will finally smile down upon us."
"We can only hope." Mr. Compress nodded in agreement, "At least you managed to find yourself a new camera. I can already imagine the beautiful sceneries you will document with it in the future."
"Too bad I don't think I will get a chance to use it anytime soon." Tengai replied.
"Do you think Tomura-kun and the rest had more luck than us today?" Y/N asked.
Mr. Compress nodded at him, "I sure hope so, Y/N. It would be nice if something went according to our thoughts for once today."
"Only one way to find out." Mustard shrugged, "If they made it back to our hideout before us. They can still be out there for all we know."
The group of five villains proceeded to make their way through the hallway for the next few seconds until they reached the room where the League was keeping their supplies in. They went to the said room in the building straight away as they knew they would see from the League there. After all, it was certain either Origami or Toga or both of them would be there guarding their stuff, right?
They got the confirmation to their theories as they walked into the said room and saw Origami and Toga inside. They weren't the only members of the League inside the room, though. Shigaraki, Magne, Spinner and Twice were in the room as well. They must have returned from their mission of trying to find anything that will lead them to Doctor sometime before them. Even Dabi was in the room right now, despite him spending most of his time away from the League.
Magne smiled at them, happy to see them again, "You're back."
"Hi guys!" Twice waved at them, "What took you so long?!"
"How did it go?" Spinner asked, "Did you stumbled upon any problem out there?"
Y/N shook his head, "No. There wasn't anyone in the den of those thieves except for us."
Spinner nodded in understanding, smilling slightly at the news of them not having to face any major problems on their mission, "Okay."
"Wow." Mustard said, having just set his eyes on Dabi, "Look what princess graced us with her presence."
Dabi crossed his arms, "What. Are you happy to see me?"
"Far from it to be honest." Mustard smirked at him as Dabi gave him a tiny smirk in return. He quickly masked it out, though with his usual cold blank expression. Shigaraki stepped forward from the rest of the League and motioned Y/N follow him. Y/N nodded at him and both of them made their way to the corner of the room, wanting to have a private conversation with each other about the missions they had been on today and learn how successful they were in them.
"How did it go?" Y/N asked Shigaraki as soon as they reached the corner of the room, wanting to know how Shigaraki's mission with locating Doctor went, "Did you found anything about Doctor?"
"It went just as well as you can expect. We're nowhere closer to finding him." Shigaraki replied, letting an annoyed sigh at their lack of success when it came to locating Ujiko, "What about you? Found something that will upgrade our money situation?"
Y/N shook his head, "No. The place had a few things that we sold at the pawn shop, but all of them were cheap. We will be able to buy food and water for a week with it, but it will not improve our situation with money."
Shigaraki sighed, "Shit."
"The only noteworthy thing we found was an old Polaroid that somehow still worked." Y/N added to his explanation from earlier.
Shigaraki looked at him with a questioning look hidden underneath his face-hand, "For what would we need a camera of all things for for?"
"Tengai-kun is into photography." Y/N explained, "We told him he can keep the camera for himself in he wants to. He agreed. He was a bit reluctant about taking it for himself, though as he knows of our poor money situation."
"I see." Shigaraki hummed in understanding. He let out a sigh afterwards, "Fine. At least we got a week extra of food. We'll try again tommorow. Perharps our drop rate will improve tommorow."
"I hope so. It would be nice if something finally went according to our thoughts." Y/N nodded in agreement, letting out a sigh as he shifted his gaze from Shigaraki to Origami, "I'll talk with you later."
"Yeah." Shigaraki nodded at him as he turned away from Y/N and walked over to Spinner.
Y/N walked over to Origami and stopped next to her, "Hey."
Origami smiled at him, happy to see him having returned to them, "Hey. How did it go? From the way you talked with Shigaraki, I can tell it didn't went well."
"It didn't." Y/N shook his head as Origami's face away from his face, "We received enough money to buy more food and water supplies from the things we managed to sell at the pawn shop, but it was nothing that would improve our financial situation."
Origami nodded in understanding, "I see."
"Don't feel bad about it. Maybe tommorow will be another day." Y/N said, trying to make her feel less bad about it as he looked at her questioningly, "What about you and Toga-chan? Did anything happened while we were gone?"
Origami shook her head, "No. Other than Dabi paying us a suprise visit, nothing worth mentioning happened. Me and Toga-chan spent most of our time in this room, waiting for you to come back."
"Okay. Good to know you didn't have any problems today." Y/N nodded at her with a small smile on her face, gladdened to hear at least Origami and Toga had a good day today. His eyes caught the sight of something new in Origami right after. He gestured to the painted nails on her left hand right after, "You painted your nails? I'm sorry for just noticing it."
"No. Don't worry. I didn't have them painted when you left with the others." Origami explained, "Me and Toga-chan tried to kill some time while you and the rest were gone." She showed him off her painted nails on her left hand, "What do you think?"
Y/N looked between her and her painted nails a few times. He rubbed the back of his head with a blush slowly forming on his face, smilling at her, "Y-You're pretty with this. Blue color fits you really well. It's your favourite one, right?"
"T-Thank you." Origami replied with a blush of her own. She looked at him with a suprised look on her face right after, "Wait. Can I ask you how do know it's my favourite color? I never told you this directly."
Y/N rubbed the back of his head with a slightly sheepish look on his face, "I just figured it out on my own. Your pajamas were dark blue and the shirt I brought you the day after you went left with me was blue as well if I remember correctly. Can't exactly remember it right now."
Origami nodded at him with a small blush on her face, "I-I see."
"So I was right?" Y/N wanted to be sure.
Origami gave him a nod of confirmation, smilling at him, "Yeah."
"Y/N!" Mustard's voice called out for him, "I'm making myself some noodles. Do you want some too?"
Y/N shifted his gaze from Origami to Mustard for a second, "Yeah. Thanks!"
Origami looked at him questioningly, "Are you hungry?"
"Yeah. I haven't eaten anything since early morning." Y/N nodded in confirmation as Origami nodded back at him in understanding. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Toga talking with Tengai. He didn't think much of it, though.
Y/N didn't have to wait long for his food to arrive as Mustard walked over to him and handed him his cup of noodles a few minutes later. The h/c haired boy thanked Mustard for preparing him his food, getting a nod out of him and dug into it right after. As the minutes passed, Y/N, Origami and Mustard started a conversation with each other to pass their time a bit as the rest of the League was busy with their own stuff right now.
"...Everyone!" Toga exclaimed several minutes later once Y/N and Mustard were done eating their noodles, causing everyone to stop what they were doing at the moment and look at her, "Tengai-kun will take a picture of us!"
Shigaraki blinked at Toga, "...What?"
"A picture! I saw him playing with his new camera and I asked him a few questions about it. I asked him if he could take a picture of all of us and he's okay with it." Toga explained her idea to them, "Come on! Let's pose together to the picture! This will be so much fun~!"
"No." Shigaraki replied, not a fan of Toga's idea.
Dabi nodded in agreement, "I'm with boss on this one."
"Why?" Toga asked.
"Just no." Shigaraki shook his head, feeling awkward at the thought of being in a picture as Toga frowned sadly, doing her best puppy eyes.
Magne shifted her gaze between Shigaraki and Dabi, "C'mon, you two. Don't be jerks."
Spinner nodded in agreement, "It's just a picture, Shigaraki."
"Come on. It will be fun." Twice added, "I'm with them on this one. This is stupid!"
"A picture sounds nice." Rappa voiced his thoughts on the suggestion.
"A documentation of your time together? What a splendid idea." Mr. Compress voiced his thoughts on the idea of them having a picture taken together right after Rappa voiced his.
"Yeah. It does sound nice." Y/N agreed with Rappa and Mr. Compress as Origami silently nodded in agreement.
Mustard shrugged his shoulders, "One picture won't hurt, I suppose."
Toga pointed at Mustard, "See. Even a tsundere like Hiroto-kun agreed to take a picture. Come on!"
"Hey! How many times did I told you about calling me a tsundere!?" Mustard asked with an annoyed look on his face.
Toga ignored him and looked between Shigaraki and Dabi with a pleading look on her face, "Come on, you two. Please! Just one picture."
"...Fine." Shigaraki reluctantly gave in, still disliking the idea of it as he let out a sigh.
Toga jumped up where she stood, her expression immediately litting up, "Yippe!"
"I'm still against it." Dabi pointed out.
"Too bad you are in the minority~." Toga pointed out in return with a smirk on her face, "Even Tomura-kun agreed for it."
Dabi glared at her with an annoyed look on his face, "I'm hating this."
"Pull yourself together. If I have to go through this, so must you." Shigaraki told him as Dabi lowered his gaze to the floor, muttering something under his breath.
Toga shifted her gaze to Tengai and smiled at him, "Okay, Tengai-kun. Prepare yourself to take a picture."
"Very well." Tengai nodded at her, pulling out his polaroid as Toga stepped closer to the rest of the League. He pointed at the camera at them right after, preparing himself to take a picture. After making sure everyone was ready and present for the picture, he spoke to them, "...Okay. Everyone. I'm taking the picture."
He did exactly what he said he was going to do and took a picture of the members of the League together. Just as he was about to take the picture, the members of the League who were interested in being in it made sure to pose to the picture. Y/N and Origami smiled at Tengai, waiting for them to take a picture. They didn't remain in this position for long as someone got an idea how to improve it.
This person was Toga. She pushed Origami closer to Y/N, causing her to rest her head on his shoulder and Y/N and Origami blushed at how close they were to each other right now. Toga smiled in satisfaction as she wrapped her arm around Mustard, causing him to blush heavily at her sudden action. Neither of the managed to do about their positions they found themselves in, though as Tengai had already taken the picture by this point.
Spinner smirked and wrapped his arm around Shigaraki who happened to the closest member of the League to him right now, doing hand-horns as Shigaraki looked at the camera with an awkward look on his face, being completely new to something like this. Dabi covered his face with his hands, not wanting to be on the picture as Magne wrapped her arms around Dabi and Rappa, sitting between them.
Twice did two peace signs towards the camera, smilling widely at Tengai underneath his mask as Rappa pumped his fist, looking like he had just won an important fight. Mr. Compress took off his hat, posing towards the camera like an entertainer who was about to begin their show in front of the audience. The flash of Tengai's polaroid engulfed the area in front of it as the picture of the League of Villains together was taken.
The picture slid out of the polaroid a second later and Toga excitedly rushed over to Tengai, leaving an embarrassed blushing Mustard behind as he was excited to find out how the picture came out. Y/N and Origami moved away from each other as soon as the picture was taken and looked at her each other reddened faces, both of them feeling embarassed by the close position for the picture they were forced in by Toga.
"...Oh my gosh!" Toga squealed in excitement a few seconds later as the picture became visible to her, gladdened to see how it turned out.
Magne smiled after seeing how just excited Toga became by the view of the picture, "I take it the picture came out well."
"You know it, Magne! You need to see it!" Toga nodded in confirmation and looked up at Tengai with a questioning look on her face, "Can I take this picture, Tengai-kun? Can I?"
"Of course. It was your idea to take it, after all." Tengai replied, handing the picture to her as he smiled underneath his mask at how excited and happy Toga seemed right now.
"Thank you!" Toga expressed her gratitude to him as she took the picture from him.
Not wasting any time, she started to show the picture everyone from the League as she was eager to know what they thought about it. The reception of the picture was mostly positive as the majority of the League seemed to like the picture. Twice even asked Toga if he could have a copy of it. Y/N couldn't blame him for wanting to have a copy of this picture. He wouldn't mind having one himself. Even Shigaraki seemed to have positive opinion on the picture Tengai had just taken of his organization.
Dabi and Mustard were the only members of the League who seemed to have a negative opinion on the picture. Dabi's negative opinion came from him not wanting this picture to be taken in the first place and Mustard's negative opinion came from the position Toga forced him and her to have, leaving him utterly embarassed in the process. Toga smirked at him, beginning to tease him about it to make him more embarassed as Mustard made a promise to burn this picture after he will get his hands on it. The rest of the League couldn't help themselves and silently watched the scene in amusement.
Y/N smiled to himself as he watched the scene happen in front of him from where he stood with Origami. Moments like this between the members of the League reminded him why he never regretted joining the League, even with the problem of poverty they were facing right now. Moments like this between the members of the League reminded him why he was glad to be part of the League of Villains.

A calmer chapter showing one of the days from the time when the League had to face poverty this time. The next chapter will be the start of MVA. You can say it was a calm before the storm :)
A little FunFact: If the Mask had his theme song, then it would be the Prowler's theme from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Thank you KingdomOfShotakin for helping me figure it out! :)
