Meta Liberation Army
A portal opened itself out of nowhere in front of Dabi and Mustard shortly after the League accepted the offer made by them by Re-Destro of the Meta Liberation Army, causing both of them to stop the conversation they were having with each other when it happened and set their attention on it. Neither of them put themselves on guard, though as they knew what kind of a portal it was, having gotten a chance to use it few times at this point.
"...You?" Dabi asked with a slightly suprised look at the group of people he wasn't expecting to see today popped into existance right before him and Mustard. His suprsied expression was quickly replaced with his usual expression, though, "What the hell are you doing here?"
Origami cringed in the disgust at the taste she was feeling in on her tastebuds right now, "It never gets better."
"I thought I would get myself used to this nasty taste at this point." Toga nodded in agreement, looking equally as disgusted as she set her eyes on Dabi and Mustard. Her expression immediately lit up at the view of them, "Hi Hiroto-kun! Hi Dabi-kun!"
Mustard shifted his gaze between everyone from the League with a questioning look on his face, "What are you doing here?"
"I just asked them the same question." Dabi pointed out, placing his hands in the pockets of his jacket, "Aren't you suppose to be fighting Gigantomachia or whatever his name is?"
"There was a change of plans." Shigaraki informed them.
Mustard crossed his arms, "What change of plans? You aren't planning to bring him here, would you?"
Shigaraki nodded at him, "This is part of our plan, but we aren't planning on bringing him to you."
"What?" Mustard asked, growing more confused by his confirmation as he was unsure how he should understand it.
"Can you fill us in what you have planned or are you planning on making it some kind of mystery to us?" Dabi wanted to know.
"We got contacted by Meta Liberation Army and they're holding Giran hostage." Y/N began his explanation, intending to make it as short as possible because of their limited time as Dabi and Mustard instantly shifted their attention to him, "They gave us an ultimatum. We will go to Deika City and face their opponent or they will send the top heroes in the country after us. We decided to go with the former."
Dabi raised his brow, "Meta Liberation Army?"
Mustard looked suprised by what was revealed to him by Y/N, "First the yakuza and now this? Are we cursed to face relics of the past every few months or what?"
Mr. Compress crossed his arms, "I'm asking myself the same thing, Kataoka-kun."
"What are you two doing here, anyway?" Spinner asked Dabi and Mustard, "Whatever you two were doing for the last month and a half, I had no idea it would include you two being in the middle of the forest."
"We were just sending out a message to someone from here." Dabi explained.
Mustard nodded in confirmation, "Sending it from here would make it easier for us to be detected and noticed by the heroes or police or whatever. The fact that we wanted to meet them here also had something to do with it."
Magne crossed her arms, "I see your cooperation is going well."
Dabi shrugged, "Had to learn how to work with him. Otherwise the last month around him and a half would make me jump out of the window."
"Same here." Mustard nodded in agreement.
"Can you postpone this conversation for later?" Shigaraki asked, "I don't think we have enough time to stay here and talk about this right now."
Y/N nodded in agreement, "Tomura-kun is right. We've been given an hour to arrive at Deika City. We should start heading there as soon as possible."
"We can't waste time or they'll kill Giran!" Twice agreed, "Just let him die! We don't need him!"
"Yeah!" Rappa voiced his own agreement as well as the excitement was eviden in his voice. The League had no idea when was the last time when they didn't saw Rappa excited. It must have been before their first encounter with Gigantomachia, "Let's just go there and let me at those assholes! I'll show them what happens when you try to fight me!"
Toga shook her head in a slightly amused manner at Rappa's excitement, "Good to know at least one of us seems excited at the thought of facing those jerks."
"It's Rappa, Toga-chan." Magne pointed out, "I don't think there will be a day when he's not excited about the upcoming fight."
Tengai nodded in agreement, "This is something I can confirm."
Y/N looked between Dabi and Mustard questioningly, "So, are you coming with us or not?"
"Judging from boss' tone, I don't think we have much of a choice here." Dabi stated.
"You don't." Shigaraki confirmed it to him, "We need everyone for this quest. Whatever you two were doing right now can wait."
Dabi sighed, "Fine. We're about just done here, anyway."
Mustard nodded in agreement, letting them know he was going to join them for this operation as well and looked at Shigaraki and Y/N questioningly, "So, we going or what?"
Shigaraki nodded at them, "Yeah. We're going."
"Let's hurry up!" Twice shouted, "Let's take our time!"
The members of the League wasted no time and pushed themselves into walk, beginning to make their way towards Deika City as they hoped they would reach it as soon as possible and hoped it would be in the time given to them by Re-Destro. Despite some of them feeling exhausted and some of them feeling nervous at the thought of facing Meta Liberation Army, the League reached Deika City in relatively good time.
By the time they reached their destination, all of them found themselves on the edge of the hill and glanced down at the small city occupying the basin below them. From the point of view of a normal person, it would look like a normal small city placed in the mountains. For the League, however, this city was anything but normal as all of them were aware what will happen in it once they will come into contact with the Meta Liberation Army in person soon.
"Welcome to the suburbs. Completely unremarkable" Spinner commented, looking down at Deika City from where he stood with the rest of the League.
"I like the atmosphere." Twice stated, "This place sucks!"
Rappa croched down, allowing himself to take a better look at Deika City with an excited look hidden underneath his mask, "I can see why they would choose this place for our fight."
"Me too." Tengai nodded in agreement, "With how isolated it is, there's no way heroes will be reported about our fight."
Y/N looked at Mr. Compress questioningly, "How much time do we have left until Gigantomachia wakes up?"
"We have about one hour and forty minutes until our friend wakes up." Mr. Compress replied as he looked down at his watch. He lifted up his hand right after and took off his mask, allowing the air to touch his face, "Looks like we'll have to do some fighting ourselves before Machia shows up. Let's hope he makes it. This could get pretty rough."
"Yeah." Y/N nodded in agreement. He knew how quickly things could go wrong for them during their upcoming fight with Meta Liberation Army. If everything will really go wrong for them in the next few hours, this could mean the end of the League of Villains as he doubted Re-Destro would leave them alive if they lost their clash with his army.
"Let's hope we get lucky and he wakes up earlier than usual." Origami said with nervousness evident in her voice and on her face. She thought she eliminated this kind of thing in herself after their encounter with Overhaul, but unfortunely she proven herself to be wrong. She never thought she would have to face such a large army of people in one place. She knew how badly things could go for her and the rest and it was making her nervous.
Y/N shifted his gaze to her a second later and saw the nervous look she on her face right now. Despite feeling slightly nervous about what was about to happen himself, he knew there could have been something he could to make her feel less nervous about this. He put his hand on her shoulder as Origami looked at him, slightly starled by his action. He smiled at her, trying to let her know everything will be okay without saying anything to her and she smiled back at him, feeling herself become slightly less nervous.
"Good thing Kataoka-kun is with us right now." Magne said, resting her large magnet on her shoulder, "This way we'll be able to put some of their people to sleep."
"Yeah. Including you." Mustard pointed out, "I'll have to separate from you when everything starts and released my gas across the distant parts of the city. The parts where I know you won't be."
Dabi sighed, "How did I get tricked into going along with such a stupid plan?"
Twice pointed at him angrily, "You were introduced into the League by Giran too, weren't you?"
Dabil rolled his eyes, "Why does that matter?"
"You bastard...!" Twice was cut off before he could finish what he was saying.
"Someone's coming!' Toga shouted, alerting everyone as everyone quickly gave up on what they were doing and shifted their attention to the direction the blond haired girl was looking towards right now. All of them either pulled out their weapons or prepared themselves to use their Quirks as they readied themselves for the possible confrontation.
The bushes on their right rustled and figure bursted from them, sliding across the ground as he made their way to them. What caught everyone's attention about this man right away was the fact he was a hero. He was one of the most generic heroes all of them have seen in their lives. This immediately put everyone from the League on a even higher alert as a good portion of them became certain Re-Destro had set them up and sold them out to the heroes.
"Stop! I have been sent here as your guide!" An unknown hero informed them, smilling widely as he rolled to stop. Despite having weapons pointed straight at him, he continued to smile at them, "I've been commanded to act as your guide today, so if you want to speak to our esteemed leader, you can follow my lead!"
Spinner lowered his blade slightly, "A hero? Well not a well known one."
"This guy looks like a superhero out of a kids cartoon." Mustard stated.
Magne nodded in agreement, "I can't remember the last time when I saw such a generic looking hero."
Origami looked at her questioningly, "Are you talking about Snatch?"
"No." Magne shook her head, "Snatch didn't have generic looks. He had generic hero lines."
Origami nodded at her, "Right."
Shigaraki stepped closer to the unknown hero, "You're our escort, huh?"
The unknown hero nodded in confirmation, "Precisely!"
Shigaraki nodded at him, "Alright, then."
"Lead the way." Y/N added.
"Excellent!" The unknown hero exclaimed joyfully, his already wide smile growing wider as he was more than pleased with this information.
He turned away from the League as he started to do his job and started to escort them into Deika City, sliding across the ground as he did so. The members of the League exchanged glances with each other, some of them cringing at the behavior displayed by him and followed the unknown hero. They slowly made their way down the hill, making sure to be as careful as they could as they didn't want anyone to get hurt before even their fight with Meta Liberation Army will start.
It was only a matter of time, a few minutes to be exact, before the League stepped into Deika City with the hero escorting them on the lead. As they continued to make their way deeper into the city, they immediately noticed one thing about it. It was just how empty it was. The streets were completely empty and every building ahead of them was closed. The city was more like a ghost town than a normal one.
Y/N looked around himself, putting his guard even more up after seeing how empty the city was at the first glance. It was when something or rather someone caught his attention. He saw a few people standing on the top of the roofs, watching them from where they stood like they were frozen into place. The h/c haired boy had no idea if he was really seeing them or if his eyes were just playing a trick on him. He knew it could have been caused by him going on a month and a half without a proper sleep.
"This whole city..." Shigaraki mumbled under his breath upon observing just how empty the streets of this city were, "You're all MLA, aren't you?"
"I'm usually in charge of a different area, but today is special!" The generic looking hero announced, not giving Shigaraki the answer he was waiting for as he made a hand signal. It's an 'L' and the bottom part of the 'L' is pressed against his forehead. It didn't took the rest of the League long to realize how it must have been some kind of salute in the liberation army.
"This is a liberated district. 90% percent of Deika City's population is hidden liberation warriors." A male voice sounded in front of the League as everyone shifted their attention to it and saw a smilling man with black hair and glasses, wearing a suit, and a woman with long purple hair, blue skin, and a shoulder-less dress with a black fur jacket, "We appreciate you traveling so far to meet us face to face. We celebrate your arrival. You are the guests of honor."
Tengai narrowed his eyes at the black haired man, feeling like he had seen him somewhere before. The realization of who this man was hit him like a ton of bricks a few seconds later, causing his eyes to widen in suprise, "...Hanabata."
Magne raised her brow, "Wait. The politician?"
Hanataba nodded in confirmation, his smile growing wider, "The one and only."
Mr. Compress shook his head, "Even the politicians are in this? How deep does MLA go?"
Hanataba chuckled, "Deeper than you think."
"Who is this guy?" Rappa asked with confusion evident in his voice, having never heard of Hanabata before.
"Hanabata Koku from the Hearts and Mind party?" Mr. Compress explained to Rappa who Hanabata was, hoping it will make Rappa remember who it was as Rappa shrugged at him, showing him he really didn't know who it was, "You've never heard of him, Rappa?"
"Not really into politics." Rappa replied, shrugging his shoulders, "Whenever I watch TV, which doesn't happen very often by the way, I watch boxing or something like that."
Tengai nodded in confirmation, "I can confirm this."
Mr. Compress let out an amused huff, "Somehow your choice of TV channels doesn't suprised me one bit."
"So, you're this Re-Destro, then?" Y/N asked, voicing the assumption he had formed in his mind upon laying his eyes on Hanabata as he took his mask off his shoulder and covered his face with it.
"Godness, no! You can consider me a close acquaintance of his." Hanabata laughed, waving his hand in front of him as his female companion joined him in his laughter, "I'm here to keep an eye on things, to make sure that everything we have planned for our little party will go well."
"Party?" Origami asked, feeling herself growing tense at his choice of words and the tone he used when he uttered them. She wasn't the only one who grew tense by his words. The tension between the two organization grew thicker as everyone braced themselves for what was about to happen.
"Yes." Hanabata nodded in confirmation as he raised his hand, looking like he was about to snap his fingers, "Now with our guests of honor having arrived here, it's time to begin our festivities. Welcome in our new friends to the revival party of the Meta Liberation Army!"
As soon as he uttered those words, he snapped his fingers and all hell broke loose. Dozens of people jumped out into the League's view out of nowhere and began their assault, attacking them from every possible side. The people who ambushed them wasted no time and immediately attacked the League with everything they had, lauching countless attacks in their directions. The members of the League leaped out of the way of the attacks, being forces to split up from each other by the amount of attacks they were dealing with right now.
Rappa slammed his fists together, more than ready to begin, "Hell yeah! Let's start!"
"Shit!" Magne cursed, having barely dodged a projectile fired her way as she didn't share Rappa's enthusiasm. So did the rest of the League, "There's so many of them!"
"The worst part of all this is that it's a fraction of a percent of what they have." Tengai stated as he created a shield around himself to protect himself from a bomb tossed his way. As soon as it exploded upon teaching his shield, he dissolved it away.
Twice used his tape measurer to slice the throat of a woman who had attempted to leap onto his back and set his attention back on Hanabata, glaring at him, "Where's Giran?"
Hanabata chuckled, "You must mean the broker. He's with our Grand Commander. I'm sure he's being entertained."
"Didn't you say you give him back if we came? Greasy bastard..." Twice didn't got a chance to finish what he was saying by small rock flying into him.
"A mini-boss huh?" Shigaraki muttered under his breath as two members of the Liberation Army charged towards him with the intention of attacking him with their Quirks. He turned them in dust before they did anything to him, though.
"Everyone go to the tower! We'll meet up there as soon as we can!" Y/N added, directing a series of firm red energy punches at the member of the Liberation Army who attacked him as Spinner remained close to him, fighting his own opponents. The masked villain punched the man he was fighting with in the face, knocking him out as Rappa watched everything from where he stood and nodded in approval.
"Righty-o!" Toga nodded as she rushed off in the direction of the building and Magne quickly followed, being the person who was standing the closest to her when it happened. The blue skinned woman wasted no time and took off after them.
"I'll try to get into in a distant part of the city and assist you from there!" Mustard informed his fellow members of the League, firing his pistol at the female member of the Liberation army and shooting her head in the head. Her lifeless body fell on the ground as Mustard advanced forward, followed by Dabi and Mr. Compress. The group of three was followed by Origami shortly after.
"Rappa." Y/N called out to Rappa just as Rappa was about to advance further into the city.
Rappa glanced at Y/N for second, "Yeah?"
"Have fun." Y/N told him, knowing Rappa was about to have some of the most fun he had in his life.
Rappa smiled at him underneath his mask, "You know I will."
The brawler turned away from Y/N a second later and moved forward towards the tower with excitement evident in his body language, Tengai following him without saying any word as Y/N, Shigaraki and Spinner were left alone together in their starting position in Deika City. Twice had already went off in his own way somewhere and nowhere to seen. He must have either stayed silent about heading out or his declaration was muffled out by the sounds of the fight. Knowing Twice, it was probably the latter.
"All of them are so strong! No fair!" Spinner gritted his teeth, struggling to free his sword of the man was fighting with right now as Y/N came to his aid and punched the man in the face. As the man stumbled backwards, Spinner finished him off by stabbing him through his chest. He looked at the masked villain gratefully right after, "Thanks."
Shigaraki let out a tired yawn as he set his eyes on Y/N and Spinner after finishing off a man who tried rushing at him, "You ready?"
Y/N nodded at him, "Yeah. Let's get this done."
"I'll be right behind you." Spinner replied, keeping his blade in ready. Not wasting any time, the three of them rushed off towards the tower. Unbeknownst to the three of them, Hanabata saw the direction they had rushed off into and followed them.
-----
Magne looked around herself, trying to figure out who she should go with as the League had split into smaller groups after hearing Y/N telling her to head for the tower where Re-Destro was keeping Giran locked up. She thought about going with Origami after seeing her being all by herself, but gave up on this idea after seeing her heading in the direction Dabi, Mr. Compress and Mustard were heading right now.
Knowing the dark green haired girl will catch up to them sooner or later, she decided to change her plans and go with someone else she saw heading towards the tower on her own. This person was Toga. Not wasting any time, she pushed herself into run with the intention of catching up to Toga as soon as it was possible and managed to catch up to her a few seconds later without coming across any complications in the form of someone attacking her in the process.
"Toga-chan! Want some company?" She asked Toga upon reaching her, both of them managing to get away from the action her fellow members of the League were participating in him right now as both of them proceeded to advance forward in the same direction.
Toga shifted her gaze to her for a second, "With you always, Magne! Do you know where Origami-chan is? Our trio of besties could show those liberation jerks what happens to someone who messes with us."
Magne shook her head at Toga's suggestion of having Origami join them right now, "I don't think she will join be able to join us right now, Toga-chan. I saw her following Mr. Compress, Dabi and Mustard before I went after you."
"Alright. I see." Toga looked slightly disappointed by it as she looked ahead of her and Magne, "Then we'll wait for another occasion where the girl trio from the League will kick some butts together."
"Here's hoping." Magne voiced her hopes of it as she smiled at the thought of this happening one day, "The tower is a little far, but we'll be there in no time."
"Yep!" Toga nodded in agreement excitedly, "Plus, I'm always the best girl on the ground."
As soon as she uttered those words, the ground underneath exploded. Magne clenched her teeth in pain as she was thrown aside by the explosion and landed on the asphalt, her large magnet falling out of her grasp when it happened. She let out a painful grunt upon landing on it, feeling like something was missing from her face. She reached her hand upwards and touched her face, seeing her sunglasses were not on the bridge of her nose right now.
She looked around herself in search of her sunglasses, managing locate them a second later. As soon as she set her eyes on them, she realized she won't be having a use of them ever again as the glass part of her sunglasses was cracked. After checking where her sunglasses landed after falling off of her face, she looked around herself in search of Toga and saw the younger girl tumbling and sliding to a complete stop.
She looked at her with a worried look on her face as she slowly got herself back on her feet, "Toga-chan! Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." Toga replied, beginning to push herself up from the ground, "The ground exploded."
"All those deaths due to blood loss" An unfamiliar female voice to both of them said as Magne and Toga looked over to the source of it and saw the blue skinned woman from earlier watching them with a pleased smile on her face and doing the director's vision gesture with her hands, "You're the culprit right? Toga Himiko? How a high school girl was driven to madness. Her death bed confessions will leave the world shocked. I must interview you."
Magne raised her brow at the blue skinned woman, picking up her large magnet from the ground, "Interview?"
Toga narrowed her eyes at the blue skinned woman angrily, "Nope."
"Really? Well, how about we'll talk about your friend over there?" The blue skinned woman asked upon Toga's refusal and shifted her attention to Magne as Magne narrowed her eyes at her, "Hikiishi Kenji. Aged 23. Born in a typical japanese family with a pair of a bit traditional but loving parents and a loving older sister Himeno. Disowned from her family after coming out as a transgender woman at the age of 17. Your story was more interesting to research than I expected! The further I went into it, the more I was interested in you as a person! The article I would have prepared on you and the story told from your point of the view would gather so much attention!"
Magne glared at her, knowing she would be clenching her hand now if she wasn't holding her magnet, "Shut up. Don't talk about it. Don't you fucking dare to bring this up. This isn't none of your business!"
"Yeah! Don't bring up the stuff neither of us want to talk about!" Toga nodded in agreement, getting herself fully back on her feet as Magne stepped closer to her, wanting to be close to her when the blue skinned woman will make her next move. Both of them back-to-back as the members of the Meta Liberation Army surrounded them.
"What do you want from us in the first place?" Magne asked, her glare refusing to leave her face.
The blue skinned woman pointed upwards, excitement becomng more evident in her voice with each word that she uttered to them, "Allow me to explain. The reserve liberation warriors train each day in preparation for the future. Repeatedly drilling their bodies and minds, in order to live their best and most authentic lives. That's why you're such a nuisance. Look at the news. You came later and have no great cause and yet you're famous."
"Have no great cause? This is where you're wrong, darling!" Magne pointed out, remembering the monologue Shigaraki back to Ujiko back in the latter's lab, "Shigaraki and Y/N have a goal they have all of us working towards! All of us are working towards their goal of reseting everyhing!"
The blue skinned woman looked unimpressed by Magne's words, "A reset, huh? Sounds like a childish dream of destroying everything. Did they get this idea from a video game or something?"
Magne narrowed her eyes at her, "Of course you don't understand their goal! Their goal doesn't just involve destruction! Destruction is just the first part of it! What matter is what will come after the destruction part of it!"
Toga nodded in agreement, "Yeah! You know nothing about our goals! Tomura-kun and Y/N's ultimate goal will create the kind of a world I want to live in and I'll help them create it!"
"Such loyalty towards their leaders." The blue skinned woman smiled at him, "You two are fascinating. It sounds like you hate being interviewed, that's a pity. I threw away all restraint towards my interviewees a long time ago. So little ones, I'll have you bare your souls to me now. The public's interest in the League is one thing, but you're a different headline."
Magne continued to glare at the woman in front of her and Toga, feeling her dislike of her growing bigger with each passing second of this interaction, "Stay the hell away from us, darling otherwise this will not end well for you."
"The schoolgirl with a mind full of violence. It's a catchy tag don't you think?" The blue skinned woman ignored Magne's warning and continued with her efforts. She closed her eyes as she continued to voice everything she wanted to say to them, "I'm still thinking of a headline for you Hikiishi Kenji. Perharps I will have it something to do with the discrimantion people like her suffer in some environments. My blood's pumping like my first day on the..."
She didn't have time to say what she wanted because Toga threw her knife at the man standing next to her and cut his throat open, preventing her from voicing the rest of her thoughts. The knife cut the man's throat open, making him collaps on the ground as the blue skinned woman opened her eyes and saw only Magne standing in front of her. Toga was nowhere to be seen. She simply vanished in the blink of an eye.
"No wonder they can't catch her." She thought to herself a second later as she looked around herself in an attempt of locating Toga.
She opened her mouth a second later, intending to Magne where Toga had ran off to as she set her eyes on her. Magne wasted no time and readied her magnet, beginning to use her Quirk. The man standing next to her began to glowing blue and felt himself getting pulled towards Magne with a magnetic force. Magne moved towards him, wanting to reach him sooner and slammed her magnet against his head.
The man's eyes rolled backwards as soon as Magne's magnet collided with his head. Just as his motionless body fell on the ground, a woman rushed towards Magne from behind and tried to get a hit on her. Magne immediately reacted to his action and turned around to face this unknown woman, punching her in the face with great strength upon laying her eyes on her. The woman stumbled backwards as Magne punched her again, knocking her out.
The blue skinned woman opened her mouth, intending to make a comment on what Magne was doing right now. Her words died in her throat, though as Toga showed up right above him, seemingly appearing out of thin air. Toga dived at the blue skinned woman with her knife in ready, intending to cut her throat open as the woman's subordinates repelled Toga with their quirks, sending her crashing through a store window.
"Toga-chan!" Magne shouted in worry for Toga as soon as she saw her friend crashing through the window of a store. Using thing to his advantange, a man from the Liberation Army leaped himself onto her back with his knife in ready. Magne immediately shifted her attention to him as she grabbed him with her free hand and tossed him to the floor. Not wasting any time, she crushed his head with his magnet.
"You went straight for the jugular with no hesitation! I have to know! I'll interview you first! What horrors in your past made you turn out this way...?" The blue skinned woman shouted excitedly as she pushed herself into run towards the store that Toga had landed in with a voice recorder in ready.
"Don't you dare get close to...!" Magne didn't got a chance to finish what she was saying as she found herself surrounded by five subordinates, four men and a woman to the exact, of the blue skinned woman. Knowing she had to act quickly here, she moved towards the woman in front of her and hit her with her magnet. As the woman began to collect herself from the hit, she began glowing and the four men were immediately dragged towards her.
As soon as the four men found themselves dragged towards the woman, Magne wasted no time and put the second part of the plan she had quickly formed in motion. Magne put her leg on the woman's chest, making sure she will stay down as the four men continued to get dragged towards her. One after another, she made sure to knock out each man as soon as they got near her and the laying woman.
Upon making sure the four men were knocked out by her, Magne looked down at the woman she had stepped on and saw her glaring at her. It was when an explosion rang through Magne's ears. Not wasting any time as she knew she had to hurry, Magne kicked the woman below her right in her face, knocking her out. Once those five subordinates were knocked out by her, she shifted her gaze in the direction of the explosion.
It was when all the air left her lungs. The explosion came from the store Toga had crushed into and it was quickly followed by one more explosion. This explosion, however, was much larger and much louder than the previous one and it was followed by a couple more explosions. As all of this happened, the blue skinned woman and her subordinates watched everything happened as they stood in front of the store.
"...By the way don't even think of transforming and hiding yourself!" The blue skinned woman yelled out to Toga with a large smile on her face, "There are warriors within our ranks who are more than willing to become bombs for the cause.
"You bitch! What are you doing here to her!?" Magne demanded to know angrily, knowing she had to act quickly if she wanted to stop the blue skinned woman. She pointed her magnet in the direction of the blue skinned woman, intending to bring her to closer to her in a similiar way she did with Pixie Bob back when the League attacked U.A's summer camp.
The blue skinned woman began glowing red and was immediately lifted up from the ground just as one of the explosions caused by her knocked Toga back into the street. It was when she shifted her attention from Toga to Magne. Her smile refused to leave her face, though as she had a trick under her sleeve. Something both Magne and Toga were unaware of right now and something they would learn about very soon.
She put her plan in motion as soon as she found herself in front of Magne. Just as Magne was about to hit her with her magnet and knock her out, she put her hand in front of her face and her bracelet suddenly turned into a thick, brick-shaped gauntlet. She blocked Magne's magnet with it and blasted her face with an explosion. Magne's eyes widened in suprise, having not expected something like to happen. Unfortunely for her it was already to do anything as the explosion knocked her away from the blue skinned woman.
"Detnerat's patented Chain Ring!" She exclaimed as soon as Magne was knocked away from her. Magne slided across the ground, letting out painful grunts as she did so as her magnet fell out of her grasp and landed somewhere away from her. Somewhere where she won't be able to reach it right away, "Please be nice and don't get in the way of my interview with your friend. I'll interview you next if you're patient enough."
Magne gritted her teeth, beginning to push herself back on her feet as she refused to listen to everything her opponent had just told her, "...Toga-chan."
The blue skinned hummed in herself in an interested manner as she watched how Magne tried to get herself back on her feet, "Hmm. Or perharps I can take a break from it and gather some material for my article about you."
Magne glared at her, "Neither of us are interested in this little article of yours."
The blue skinned woman took one step towards Magne with an interested look on her face, refusing to listen to anything she said, "Tell me. What's up with this big sister behavior you're trying to give everyone around you? Like what you're doing right now with Toga Himiko. Are you doing this for the sake of your beloved sister Himeno? Are you trying to honor your deceased older sister by acting like this or you're just trying to act like her?"
Magne deepened her glare, "I already told you. Don't talk about Himeno-chan. I'm not telling you anything about her.."
"Really? If you really are so reluctant about talking about her, then maybe we should talk about someone else." The blue skinned retorted at Magne's refusal to talk about Himeno, "Maybe we should talk about your parents instead. How did you felt like when they threw you out of the house after you came out to them as a transgender woman? Were you sad or angry or maybe a mixture of both? It this why you became a villain? To spite them?"
"Shut the hell up!" Magne shouted, having just brought herself back on her feet as she refused to talk about her parents.
The blue skinned woman put her hand on her chin, "Interesting~. Judging from the tone of your voice, I can see..."
"I don't care about you can see." Magne cut her off as she pushed herself into charge towards the blue skinned woman, "Me and Toga-chan do not care about your little interview. If she doesn't want to talk about her past then she doesn't have to tell you anything! The same goes for me, you fucking bitch! Why do you need this fucking interview for in the first place."
It was just a matter of seconds before Magne would reach the blue skinned woman and her subordinates. As soon as it happened, she swung her fist at her with the intention of punching her and using her Quirk on her. Her fist never collided with her face, though as one of the woman's subordinates got himself between them and took the puch for her. The uknown man was send flying backwards by Magne's punch as Magne's stepped backwards.
"You want to know why I want to have an interview with you two this much?" The blue skinned woman asked, "I will convince the public with your story. It's all for the Liberation Army. All you'd have to do is tell me how you went insane!"
"...You really want a story on how I went insane?" Toga's voice sounded behind them as both Magne and blue skinned woman stopped what they were doing right now shifted her attention to it.
"Toga-chan." Magne muttered under her breath.
"What is a normal life?" Toga asked as she sat up.
The blue skinned woman smiled widely, having completely shifted her gaze to Toga, "You're finally opening up to me! Now I can wish your friend will follow your example!"
"The Liberation Army is trying to build a wonderful world, so I love you. I love you so much it hurts..." Toga went further into her words as she got up from the ground. She smiled at the blue skinned woman in a creepy manner right after. Blood was falling from her face and body and she had a crazed look on her face, "But I believe my life right now is normal."
The blue skinned woman stepped towards Toga, having shifted her attention back to her, "Keep Hikiishi occupied as I will be getting the answers out of Toga. I will come back to her shortly after after I will have all the details I wanted."
"Don't come near her, you bitch!" Magne shouted angrily as she pushed herself into run towards the blue skinned woman.
Unfortunely, Magne didn't even come close to the blue skinned woman as she was immediately attacked by several subordinates of her target. All of them were men which prevented her from using the tactic she used back when she was attacked by the group of five members of the Liberation Army earlier. Not wasting any time, she tried to fight back against all of them but unfortunely she was easily overpowered by them.
She landed on the ground with a loud thud a few moments later, having been knocked to it by one of her opponents. She wasted no time and tried to get herself back on her feet but unfortunely never made it back to her feet as she was prevented from doing so by her opponents. Their opponents quickly held her against the ground, making sure she will stay down and won't interrupt the interview the blue skinned woman was having right now with Toga.
"Toga-chan!" Magne shouted in worry, doing her best to free herself from the prison she just found herself in to no avail. She simply couldn't move right now.
It was when an explosion echoed through her ears. It was followed by the sound of someone sliding across the ground. It didn't took her long to figure out what must have happened right now. She felt herself growing more nervous and worried about Toga as she continued her attempts at freeing herself from the prison she found herself in right now. Her attempts were all for nothing, just like her previous ones, though.
She put her head on the ground, facing the sidewalk as she felt tears forming in her eyes. She just felt so powerless right now. As the big sister of the group, she was supposed to protect her and she couldn't do nothing to help her right now. Toga was going to die and she wouldn't be able to stop it from happening. This situation reminded her of what happened with Overhaul and how Origami and Mr. Compress lost their arms because of her actions.
She screwed everyone over back then and now she was screwing Toga over because of her useless her power was in such situation. If only she could do more with her Quirk. If only she could use it on herself. If only it wouldn't be restricted to gender and could choose how she wanted certain people to be magnetized. If only she wouldn't have to hold her magnet right now to make the blue skinned man fly towards her, just like she did with Pixie Bob back when the League attacked the summer camp.
Magne slammed her head against the ground in frustation as her tears became more evident evident to everyone making sure she would stay pinned to the ground. If only she had been stronger right now, then maybe Toga wouldn't be in such a danger right now.
Kenji Hikiishi was a normal boy living in a normal family with decent, but a bit traditional parents and loving older sister Himeno. If he was honest with himself, there wasn't much he couldn't complain about his life for the most part. He didn't have any trouble with his peers and never argued with his siter as both of them shared a genuine sibling bond with each other. He had an argument with his parents from time to know but didn't thought much of it because what kid his age didn't have an argument with their parents every now and then?
The problems began for him as he got older and began learning more about himself. It was when he noticed something strange about some of his habits. All those things were something he felt like he should have realize a long time ago but for some reason failed to do so. Those things included things such as being drawn towards feminine clothes from a young age whilst being uninterested in male clothes and always having his hair longish.
Everything started started to escalate as he was getting older and slowly getting closer to teenager's age. Everytime when his parents and his sister would be out of the house for their own personal reasons, he would go into the closet in his parents bedroom and put on his mother's clothes. Everytime when he had his mother clothes on himself he felt fullfiled. He felt like he was being himself. He felt this is how he was.
He began to try out more and more womanly activities as the time went on and each of those activities made him feel like this is who he was as a person. All of those factors helped him come to the conclusion that he was a woman trapped in the body of a man. As soon as those realization hit her like a ton of bricks, panic went through her body as she knew how they would react to this.
This is why she kept this part of herself hidden away from everyone, afraid of everyone reacting in a negative way and pushing her away, for as long as she could and kept doing all of those activities in secret from everyone. As the time passed, however, she felt something building up inside of her and felt like she had to share this information with someone otherwise it would destroy her from the inside.
The person she decided to share this information with was her older sister. Himeno always found time to hear out everything she had to say and always offered her words of comfort whenever there was something bothering her.
"Himeno..." A fifteen year old Kenji nervously called out for her sister as she pushed the door to her sister's room open and entered it.
Himeno looked up from the book she was reading right now with a questioning look on her face, "Yes, Kenny? Do you need something?"
Kenji nodded in confirmation, her nervousness refusing to leave her face as she had no idea how her sister would react to this, "Y-Yes. This is something I've been wanting to talk about with someone for a long time, but didn't brought this up too anyone, because I was afraid of their reaction."
"Sure. You know you can tell me anything." Himeno smiled at her younger sibling. There was a hint of concern in her eyes, though as she tried to figure out what was bugging Kenji. She set her book aside and patted the part of the bed on her left, inviting Kenji to sit down next to her, "Come on. Sit down next to your big sis and she will listen to everything that's been bothering you."
"T-Thanks, Himeno." Kenji once again nodded at her sister, appreciating her finding time to talk with her as she closed the door behind her to make sure no one would overhear their conversation and stepped closer to her sister. She sat down next to her sister, feeling herself become comfortable about the topic she would bring to her after finding herself close to her.
Himeno looked at her questioningly, "So. What do you want to talk with me about?"
Kenji took a deep exhale, bracing herself for the reaction her explanation would bring out of her sister and began her explanation right after. She told her everything. She told her how she was confused about her gender identity and how she felt like she a woman trapped in a man's body. After making sure her sister knew about everything going on in her head, she looked up at her sister with a worried look on her face as she was afraid of her reaction.
Words couldn't describe the relief she flet when Himeno didn't express disgust towards her and didn't voice how disgusting it was of Kenji to have those thoughts. As Kenji voiced her suprise and relief to her, Himeno smiled at her and told her how Kenji feels about her gender will not change how she loved her younger sibling and reassured her that she will always be there for her, no matter what.
There were one words that particulary stuck with Kenji when Himeno uttered those words of reassurment to her, "...You can tell me everything! I'm your big sis, after all."
Kenji smiled as soon as Himeno's words of reassurment rang through her ears. It was true. No matter how she will feel about herself and her gender identity and now matter how her parents would react to her feeling like she a woman trapped in a body a man, she could always count on her older sister having her back in everything and how her sister would always hear her out everything.
If only she knew this would be the last time she and her sister would have a conversation like this...
Her sister died only a week after this conversation between them took place. A drunk driver drove into her. The paramedics did their best to save her sister, but unfortunely there was nothing they could do to save her. Himeno's wounds were just too severe. Her older sister's sudden death took it's toll on Kenji as she knew she not only lost her beloved sister who would always support her but also someone who she knew would accept her for the way she was.
Her worst nightmare about her parents refusing to accept her for the way she was became true a few months after she turned seventeen. With her adulthood nearing with big steps, Kenji decided to do a risky move and inform them of her being a transgender woman and how she thought about going through a sex change about some point of her life in the near future.
The effects of this conversation were far from perfect as her parents were completely outraged by the thought of her feeling like she was a woman trapped in the body of a man. Many hurtful words were exchanged in the screaming match they had with each other and Kenji couldn't stop the tears from spilling down from her eyes upon hearing all of those hurtful words. She was afraid her parents would react like this but it actually happening really hurt her.
"I raised a son. Not a daughter...!" Was what her father told her.
"We will get you help, Kenji. We will make sure you will break yourself out of this delusion! I will not lose another child to some disgusting delusion...!" Was what her mother told her.
Kenji refused any of their attempts at trying to make sure she will open her eyes and break herself out the delusion she thought she had put herself in. She refused them because she knew it wasn't a delusion she had put herself in. It was just who she was as a person and she made sure to tell her parents about it after voicing to them how she was not going to take any therapy because she didn't need it.
Things just went worse from there as she was given an ultimatum by her parents. Either she would go on therapy and stop identifying herself as a woman or she will leave their household and never come back.
Despite this decision hurting her more than any of the hurtful words her parents directed at her, Kenji ended up choosing the latter. She decided to be herself and paid the price for it as her parents kicked her out the house, refusing to accept her for the way she was. The last words she ever heard from her own parents was them telling her she wasn't welcomed in their household anymore.
It was the last time she ever saw them in person...
Now living on the streets and being a high school dropout because of her being unable to continue her education after losing her parents help, Kenji was forced to turn enter a life of a criminal to make sure she will not die from either hunger or dehydration. Her thefts were small at first, but they increased int something larger over time and the list of crimes she committed also increased over time.
She slowly started to make a name for herself in the criminal underworld as the time passed and became known as someone who would always treat like you like she was your older sister. Kenji choose to become someone a person could view as their older sister of the only person who accepted her for who she was before she turned to life of crime. She knew Himeno would like her being an older sister figure to other people if she saw her right now.
As she continued to live her life of a villain and entered her mid 20's, she realized that she wasn't the only one who had to go through something like this and set a goal of living and being however she wanted in her life. Upon learning her goal, Giran made her an offer to join the League of Villains and she decided to give this organization a try. If she was honest with herself, she did not regret joining it. Not one bit as everyone in the League, even the coldest members of it such as Shigaraki or Dabi, accepted her for the way she was right away.
This is how Kenji Hikiishi became a villain known as Magne...
Magne let out one deep breath after another as she grew more desperate in her attempts at freeing herself from the grasp of everyone who was keeping her pinned against the ground right now. All of her attempts were as successful as the ones that came before. The members of the Liberation Army continued to do their job, making sure to put an end to each attempts Magne put at trying to free herself, not expecting her to have any tricks up her sleeve.
"Get away from her you bitch!" She shouted to the blue skinned woman with an enraged look on her face as she tried to slam her hands against the ground in anger in a desperate attempt to free herself from the grasp of people on top of her.
It was when something happened. A man who was holding her left arm began glowing red all of a sudden. The said man looked down at his body with a confused look on his face, having no idea what was happening right now. He got the answer to this question a second later and everyone around him began glowing blue. It was just a matter of seconds before everyone who was glowing blue right now slammed themselves into the man glowing red, sandwiching him.
Having been freed from the grasp of the men pinning her to the ground, Magne quickly got herself back on her feet and glanced to the side at pile of people next to her. She wouldn't be lying to herself is she said she wasn't suprised what just happened. Did she just managed to make a northern polar out of man? She knew couldn't do it before and could make those out of women only.
The realization hit her like a ton of bricks a second later as she realized what must have happened right now. Her power must have evolved. She must have been capable of doing things she couldn't do before. The excitement of something like this taking place quickly died down within her, though as she knew she to focus on saving Toga from whatever blue haired woman and her goons were doing to her right now.
She looked over to where her magnet was laying right now and set her eyes on it, beginning to wish she was wielding it right now. Just as she was about to push herself into walk towards it, her magnet began to move on it's own and slided across the ground almost as if she had summoned it to her. Shaking off the suprise of it happening a second later, Magne picked it up from the ground and looked ahead of herself towards where Toga and the blue skinned woman should be right now.
She pushed herself into charge forward herself, intending to put an end to what the blue skinned woman was doing righ tnow and felt something within her as soon as it happened. It was when her own body began to glow red. Accepting it was happening right now without asking herself any questions, Magne set her eyes on the blue skinned woman and put the next part of the plan she had just formed in her mind into action.
The blue skinned woman started glowing blue just a second later. Her words died in her throat as she was lifted above the ground. She looked over her shoulder and saw Magne charging towards her. A few of her subordinates followed her example after seeing what just happened and set their eyes on Magne. Intending to defeat their leader, they charged towards Magne with the intention of putting an end to her and her plan.
They never made it to Magne, though. Or at least they didn't made it to her in the way they would want to. Not wasting any time, Magne used her Quirk on them as well and made them glow red, not caring if they were men or women as she knew this restriction was not a problem to her anymore. The blue skinned woman's subordinates reached Magne before their leader and Magne knocked each of them out by hitting them in their heads with her magnet.
As soon as the blue skinned woman found herself near her, Magne tossed her magnet to the ground as she wanted to deal with her in a different way. She stopped glowing red after throwing her magnet aside, making the blue skinned woman fall to the ground. The blue skinned woman glared up at her as Magne returned her glare and grabbed her by her hair before delivering a firm punch to her face.
The blue skinned woman became dizzy upon getting punched in the face by Magne as Magne looked ahead of herself and saw Toga on her feet. The blue haired girl was leaping from one person to another. Much to Magne's suprise, each person Toga had just touched was launched in the air. She got the answer to the question she had just gotten after getting a glimpse of how Toga's face looked like right now.
She looked just like this one student from U.A. Magne remembered her name as Toga often talked about her and Izuku. Her name was Ochaco. She must have been using her power right now. This just caused another question to rise within Magne as she knew Toga couldn't do this with her power before. It was when another realization hit Magne like a ton of bricks. Toga's Quirk must have evolved as well.
"What's this? On her form it said she could only change her physical appearance! Don't tell me...she leveled up just now? The fear of death evolved her meta power!" The blue skinned woman muttered under her breath, having gotten the same idea as Magne as what she just witnessed from Toga made her forget about the position she was in right now, "The same thing happened with Hikiishi. The fear of seeing one of her comrades died must have evolved her meta power as well! This is why she could use her meta power on herself and could use both men and women as southern poles! Both of them make wonderful headlines. This will be my greatest feature!"
"You talk too much." Magne stated with irritation evident in her voice as she shifted her gaze back to the blue skinned woman for a second and punched her in the face, knocking her out.
Magne let the blue skinned woman's hair go a second later, making her unconscious land on the ground like a ton of bricks and shifted her gaze to to Toga. Toga stopped in her tracks and tapped her fingers together. She send every subordinate of the blue skinned woman plummeting to the ground and all of them fell to their certain death. All of them died upon slamming into the ground, painting the ground in the red liquid.
"Toga-chan! That was amazing!" Magne smiled at Toga, impressed by the display from her friend as she stepped towards her, both relieved and gladdened by what just happened, "I thought you couldn't use Quirk of the people you were disguised as! Does this mean your Quirk evolved right now?"
Toga slowly turned around to look at Magne, "M-Magne."
All the relief and happiness left Magne body in an instant after seeing the state Toga was in right now, "Toga-chan?"
Toga looked around herself, feeling herself growing weaker with each passing second as she tried to find something she had lost during her fight with the blue skinned woman. She set her eyes on what she was looking for a second later. It was a picture she Tengai take of the League on the day he got his polaroid. Toga stumbled her way over to the picture and collapsed on the ground upon reaching it She weakly reached out grab it with the remaining strength she had left in herself. She brought it closer to herself, clutching it close to her chest as she closed her eyes and finally gave in to her wounds, losing her consciousness.
Not wasting any time, Magne quickly made her way to the unmoving body of Toga and crouched down in front of her. She shook her head, letting out a gasp of horror upon eyeing the state Toga was in right now. She put her hand on her neck, hoping to find a pulse, praying for it. She felt it just a second later. A wave of relief went through her body as soon as it happened as she knew Toga was not dead and was instead unconcious.
She knew Toga was not to stay alive for long without a proper medical care, though. Her wounds from the blue bitch were too severe for her to hold on for long without any help, especially with the amount of blood she was losing because of her wounds. She knew there was one person who could help Toga right now. The body from the clone he would create of Toga would surely be good enough to perform blood transfusion. Right?
Not wasting any time, she reached down to grab Toga and put her in her arms. She got herself into a standing position and looked around the streets she was on right now, wanting to know if there was anyone rushing towards her and Toga with the intention of attacking them. She nodded to herself a second later. The only living people around them were the unconcious people, including the blue skinned bitch. Good. This meant she won't have to deal with more of them for now.
"Toga-chan. What have they done to you...?" She asked herself internally with worry and fear for her friend written all over her face, looking at down at the unconscious form on her friend in her arms as she made her way down one of the streets of Deika City, hoping she will come across Twice as soon as possible.
-------
Origami shook her head to herself as she proceeded to make her way further into Deika City, having been split up from the rest of the League shortly after Metal Liberation Army began their attack. She had no idea where the rest of the League was right now. Simply too many of the Liberation Army members jumped at them when Hanabata ordered them to attack for her to keep the track of her fellow League members, resulting in her being all by herself right now.
The dark green haired girl knew she couldn't let the nervousness of her being alone in this city get the best of her. Upon getting ambushed by the Liberation Army, she managed to get the sight of Dabi, Mr. Compress and Mustard out of the corner of her eye and tried to follow them, but unfortunely lost the track of them upon reaching the crossroads with the said three nowhere to be seen on either side of it.
After debating with herself for a few seconds, she went to the right as she suspected they went this way because this way would get them quicker to the tower. At least it seemed like a faster way to it from the looks of it. It didn't took her to realize she must have ended up going the wrong way because Dabi, Mr. Compress and Mustard were nowhere to be seen on the way she choose and there was no sight of them using this.
Just as she was about to turn around and try to check the other way in her attempts at finding Dabi, Mr. Compress and Mustard, she was immediately greeted by the view of something like a cannonball flying straight towards her. Her eyes widened in suprise as soon as she was it heading right towards her as she immediately jumped to the side, managing to dodge the attack just in time before the missile would hit her.
She let out a deep breath, relieved she managed to dodge it in time as the cannonball hit the area behind her, causing an explosion upon the impact. Her relief was short lived, however, as she looked in the direction the cannonball came from and saw a group of the Liberation Army members in front of her. They must have followed her here after seeing her heading out by herself following their ambush.
Origami bit her bottom lip, knowing she was in real trouble right now as she set her eyes on the man in front of the group. He was dressed like a typical reporter. There was something else that caught her attention. He had his mouth wide open and had a small cannon sticking out of it. He must have been the one who directed the cannonball she had just dodged a few seconds earlier.
The reporter looking man closed his mouth, trapping his small cannon within it and opened it again, "Jakuzure Origami otherwise known at Weaponsmith, I presume?"
"What? What do you want from me?" Origami asked, voicing the first thoughts that went through her mind. She realized how stupid this question was a second later.
The reporter smiled, putting his hand on her chin, "Oh, nothing. I was simply tasked by Ms. Kizuki to go after you. She would go after you herself if it wasn't for her excitement regarding the stories of Toga Himiko and Hikiishi Kenji. Perharps if went with these two instead of going on your own, then you would be having a conversation with her right now."
Origami's eyes widened in worry for Toga and Magne, "W-What? She went after Toga-chan and Bis Sis Magne? What did you do to them?"
The reporter chuckled, "Always puts the safety of her comrades before own. Looks this part of the information about her was true. Perharps this is what child abuse does to you. Perharps this is why she does everything she does right now. Perharps this is why she proves her mother right by doing all of those actions."
"M-My mother...?" Origami began to say at the mention of her. She didn't got a chance to finish what she was saying, though as something happened.
She was cut off from saying more as the part of the fence she was standing next to right now was dissolved into nothing. She shifted her attention to it right after and saw a man dressed like a typical scientist next to her. He was holding two chemistry beakers filled with acid in his hands. Not wasting any time, the unknown man tossed some of the acid towards her with the obvious intention in his mind.
Origami's eyes widened, knowing how badly it would end for her if she allowed the acid to hit her as she jumped backwards with hopes of avoiding it in time. Luckilly, she reacted fast enough and managed to prevent the acid from hitting more important parts of her body. She learned she didn't manage to entirely dodge it just a second later as she felt something going on with her own footwear.
She looked down at her boots, seeing how the acid was slowly dissolving them away. What caught her attention was the fact how the acid continued to spread across her footwear and was seconds away from reaching her pants. Not wasting any time, she quickly took off her boots before the acid could spread across her body and burn her as it would do so, leaving herself barefooted as she took off her socks as well, just in case if they would spread the acid further as well.
She immediately shifted her gaze to the scientist man as the man climbed through the hole in the fence. Just as she was about to take care of him, she was greeted by the view of someone jumping over the fence. It was when she was greeted with the sight of a woman. There was something different about her or rather her hands. Her hands were shaped like a club you'd see Neanderthals use in the documents about them.
Not wasting any time, the unknown woman began her assault and began swinging her clubs widly at Origami. The dark green haired girl replied to her assault as quickly as she could and quickly blocked every of her attacks with her katana. The scientist man tossed more acid towards Origami right after in hopes of doing more damage to her this time, making Origami step backwards from the club swinging woman.
As soon as Origami stepped backwards, the club swinging woman saw this a chance and hit Origami with her club in the shoulder. Origami's eyes widened in pain as she was brought into her knees. Unfortunely for the club swinging woman, Origami immedately used this position to her advantage as she lifted her katana up and stabbed the club swinging woman right in the stomach with it before the said woman could do another move. She pulled her katana out of her stomach right after as the club swinging woman fell on his knees like a ton of bricks.
Seeing what just happened to his comrade, the scientist man quickly tossed more acid towards Origami as Origami quickly used the club swinging woman as her meat shield, using her body to defend herself from the upcoming acid. As the acid started to consume the body of the club swinging woman, Origami quickly got herself back on her feet and stabbed the scientist man through his stomach, making him share the fate of his fellow liberation warrior.
"Interesting. Weaponsmith hitting someone with a sword. This must seem familiar to you in some way, Jakuzure. This surely brings you back some memories. Am I right?" The reporter asked as Origami quickly pulled her katana out of the body of the man she had just killed and shifted her attention to him.
Origami took one step backwards right after as she saw the reporter and the people accompaying him moving towards her. She turned away from them and fleed from them, knowing she couldn't fight all of them at once. Especially since the reporter could fire another cannoball at her once she would find herself too busy fighting with one of his buddies. The risk of it happening was simply too big.
She froze in her tracks just as she turned the corner, though as she was immediately greeted by the view of the more members from the Meta Liberation Army. A fox heteromorph in a business suit was one of them. He caught her the most of her attention from the group she had just stumbled upon because of the type of a weapon he was wielding. He wielded a katana, just like her and looked ready to fight her.
Knowing she had no choice but to those people as she would be greeted by the reporter and his group if she would try to turn back, Origami lifted her katana up and readied herself to fight the fox man. The fox man stepped towards her and the clash between them started right after. The fox man started directed one quick swing of his katana at Origami right after as Origami did her best against all of his attacks as she blocked each of his strikes to the best of her abilities.
Origami had to admit one thing to herself as the fox man continued his assault on her. It was just how skilled he was in the terms of using his katana. It didn't took hr long to come up with this realization as all of the fox man's attacks were quick and would have been precise if it wasn't for her blocking them. She had no idea for how he was training to aquire such skills but she knew he must have been perfecting them for a long. For way longer than she had been perfecting hers.
The dark green haired girl stepped backwards, having just managed to block another one of the fox man's strikes as her opponent had definitely put more force into this attack. It was followed by more of those attacks as Origami found herself struggling when it came to blocking them. There was even one more time when her katana was always knocked out of her grasp. Thankfully, she managed to keep it in her grasp and tightened her grip around it.
It was just a matter of seconds before she would find herself pinned against the rocky wall of the fence. As soon as it happened, the fox man tried to land something she assumed would be a finishing blow on her if she hadn't managed to block it in time. As the fox man put more pressure on his blade, trying to knock her katana out of her grasp as both blades continued to struggle with each other, Origami came up with an idea how to handle her opponent.
She reached her free hand into her holster and pulled out her pistol, intending to use the same tactic on the same that she used on one member of the Creature Rejection Clan. Not everything went according to her plan, though as she came across a complication in the form of one of the fox man's companions. The unknown man stepped stepped closer to her, his hand beginning to shine with a bright light.
Not wanting to find out what the unknown man was planning to do with his hand, Origami directed her pistol attack at him instead of the fox man. Her pistol fired at the unknown man and the bullet hit him right in the stomach. She fired two more times, making sure he will be put down as the unknown man collapsed on the ground, not a single breath leaving his mouth as Origami stopped him from using her power on him.
The fox man glanced to the side, taken by suprise by the sudden death of one of his companions as Origami immediately used this to her advantage. She hit him in the face with the bottom part of her pistol, making him stumble backwards a bit. Her opponent quickly collected himself as Origami aimed her pistol at him and pulled the trigger, intending to put an end to her skilled opponent once and for all.
The fox man knew what was about to happen and quickly stepped to the side. The bullet didn't hit him like in the head, just like Origami had intended to and instead hit him in his left arm. Fortunely, it wasn't his sword hand so he would be able to continue his fight with her. He clenched his teeth in pain as soon as the bullet hit him as Origami aimed her pistol at him again, trying to direct one more pistol attack at ihm,
She never got a chance to repeat her attack, though as one of the fox man's companions came in his rescue and punched her straight in the face. Origami stepped backwards in pain, feeling how the feeling of someone hitting her in the face with such force brought back some unpleasant memories from the time of her life before she became Weaponsmith and joined the League of Villains. It was when the image of her hateful look on her mother's face flew through her mind.
She shook her head to herself as soon as the image of her mother flew through her head, knowing she shouldn't be thinking about her of all people right now. She shifted her attention back to what was happening around her right now and looked around herself, trying to find a way out the situation she found herself in right now. There weren't really any exits out of this place outside of going back to the place where she encountered the reporter.
It was when something else caught her attention. It was a house without any fence around it, leaving it's garden out for everyone to see. She knew she could use this part of this area to her advantage. She just had to find a way how to reach it. Just as she was about to put her plan in motion, an explosion of pain went through her body as something round just slammed itself into her back with a massive force.
She clenched her teeth in pain, feeling how this round object made her stumble forward towards the fox's man group. Using this fact to their advantage, a woman from the fox man's group kicked her in the stomach and grabbed her by her shoulders, tossing the dark green haired girl into the garden she was planning to head into before someone attacked her from behind and made her stumble forward right to her opponents.
Origami stopped in her tracks in the middle of the garden and did her best to ignore the pain she was in right now. She looked ahead of her and saw the reporter standing among the people from the fox man's group, their group having mixed themselves into one larger group. She pointed her katana at them, letting her know she will try to fight them again if she will have to as she knew she had no other choice in this situation.
It was when the reporter fired one more cannonball at her. It wasn't directed at Origami's body, though. It was directed at her katana and at her hand instead. The cannonball hit her in her katana wielding hand, destroying a good portion of her prosthetic arm and making her stumble into the ground upon the impact. Her eyes widened in horror as the upper part of her her prosthetic arm was destroyed into pieces, making her unable of wielding her katana and using her pistol at her full accuracy.
"Thank you for keeping her in one place for so long. It gave us enough time to catch up to her without much problems." The reporter expressed his gratitude to the fox's man group after making his cannon vanish from within his mouth.
Origami looked at him with a suprised look on her face, "H-How did the cannonball not explode when it hit me or when it landed on the ground?"
The reporter smiled at her, "Ah, the answer to this is simple. My Meta Ability allows me to decide what kind of cannonball I want to fire out of the cannon in my mouth. I decided those cannoballs to be like normal balls and not explosive ones as I wanted to go back to the conversation we were having before you rudely ran away from me and my group."
Origami stayed silent as she continued to lay on the group, defeated and with only one hand for her to use.
"Now, with this matter settled, can we go back to our conversation?" The reporter asked, more than eager to some get answers out of Origami, "How do you feel about the fact you're literally proving your mother to be the monster she thinks you are by doing all those actions alongside the members of the League? How do you think would your beloved father feel if she saw his beloved daughter doing all of those things? Would be happy for his daughter becaming who she became or would he agree with his family about them having a monstrous daughter?"
Origami once again stayed silent, refusing to give the reporter the answer he was waiting for. Even if she wanted to answer to any of his question, she wouldn't be able to as she was simply too weak from all the damage she had taken over the course of the last few minutes. She felt herself becoming more weaker with each passing second, despite not going through any major bleeding right now as she felt she will lose her consciousness soon.
The dark green haired girl felt tears forming in her eyes as she proceeded to lay on the ground. It didn't took her long to figure out what will happen to her soon, especially if she will keep refusing to answer to the reporter's questions. She couldn't believe this was really it. She joined the League all this time ago to help Y/N create the new better society and she will die long before this will even happen.
It was when her thoughts set themselves on Y/N. Why didn't she tell him about how she felt about him after he returned with Toga, Twice, Rappa and Tengai from the Shie Hassaikai? Why did she kept her feelings a secret from him for all this time? Now, Y/N will never know of how she felt about him because of her being too afraid of his reaction to her feelings and dying without ever revealing telling him about them.
It was when a few more images flashed through her mind. Those images didn't just consist of Y/N. They consisted of everyone from the League. The images of all the good times she spent with her friends from the League flew through her mind. Each smile she had directed at them towards they directed towards her. All the times they bonded together since she joined the League. All of it flew through her mind right now.
She thought of her spending time with Toga and Magne out in the shopping center. The memory flying through her head was of her showing Toga the coat her friend was wearing right now while Toga was showing her the cross shaped earrings the darl green haired girl had pierced her ears with. Magne stood between them, giving them a thumbs up with a smile on her face as she held the bag with her recently purchased jacket in her other hand.
She thought of all the times she and Toga bonded with each other, becoming best friends with each other in the process. The memory flying through her mind right now showed Toga using her nail polish to paint her nails.
She thought of her sharing a glass of tea with Mr. Compress, both of them smilling in her memory as they seemed to be in the middle of a conversation.
She thought of watching Y/N, Spinner and Shigaraki play video games and how she silently cheered for him everytime when she walked in on them playing video games with each other.
She thought of all the pictures Tengai took of her and the League with his polaroid ever since he got his hands on it. The memory in her mind showed her the very first picture Tengai took them. The very same picture Toga clutched to herself in her sleep to this very day.
She thought about each time she hung out with with Y/N, Toga and Mustard, enjoying herself for once with her own group of friends around her age who truly cared about her and her well being. The group of friends that didn't care about what happened when her Quirk manifested...
She thought about all the fond memories she made with Y/N. She thought about him stepping in to help her, when nobody else would and how much fun they had with each other in the following day. She thought about how they went to the pool, with herself growing flustered by the view of him without a shirt or or how they went to arcade, with Y/N easily defeating her with his gaming skills or how they went to the steakhouse together and ate her favourite food together.
More memories of her and Y/N started to fly through her mind as she thought of all the training sessions they had with each other after she joined the League, the one time when they baked a cake together with the ingredients she had prepared for him to make him feel better after the capture of All For One, the times when they played video games together and the way how he comforted her after she lost her arm to Overhaul.
Those were just a few of the many memories she felt flying through her mind right now. It was when she made a promise to herself. She was not going to die today. She was going to survive this day to make sure she will see the society she and the League will create together. She was going to keep on living for her friends and more importantly she was going to keep on living for someone she had grown to love.
"Still no answer?" The reporter asked with a disappointed look on his face as Origami remained unresponsive to this point, "Very well. If you want to do this like this, we will d..."
"...E-Everything." Origami stuttered out to him, cutting him off before he could finish the sentence. The reporter looked at her with a pleased smile on his face, feeling gladdened by the the dark haired girl finally giving him the answer he wanted from her. The dark green haired girl let out a deep exhale, making sure she won't stutter the next time she will try to voice her thoughts to them, "Everything I'm doing is for the sake of people like me or Y/N or Toga-chan or everyone else from the League. People who weren't good enough to be saved by those heroes and had to wait for villains to save them instead. Is it to create a better society for people like me. The society when they won't have to suffer like I did..."
"You're doing all of this because you want to a create a better world, huh? It really reminds me of what we're trying to accomplish with making Destro's dream a reality! By us acheving our goal and having people use their Meta Ability in their daily as they saw fit will create a much better world" The reporter pointed out, growing more satisfied by what was happening right now as Origami feeling herself slowly regaining her strength as slowly started to push herself back on her feet.
"She's getting back up?" The fox man muttered under his breath in suprise as the group in front of the dark green haired girl looked at her with a suprised look on her face, having not been expecting to see her get up after how defeated she looked like.
"What about your mother, though?" The reporter brought up the matter of Origami's mother again, "Do you really think this goal is worth proving her to be right by your actions with the League of Villains?"
"My mother...?" Origami asked as soon as her mother was brought up by him as she continued to push herself back on her feet, "You keep bringing her up. Why? How do you even know what she thought of me before I became a villain..."
"Our grand commander did as much research as he could about each one of you and we learned a few interesting details about you." The reporter replied, gladdened he was managing to finally get a conversation out of Origami, "Your mother Jakuzure Shiori didn't keep her opinion of you away from the media following the events of Camino Ward and capture of All For One. She pretty open when it came to voicing what she thought monstrous daughter."
Origami clenched her good remaining hand at his explanation as she reminded herself of the one time when she saw saw her mother in the TV with Y/N , Toga and Mustard and all the hurtful words she said about her. She remembered how much it made her hurt back then and how her friends had to comfort her about. The memory of those feelings made her realize how little she felt about her right now.
She got herself fully on her feet and pointed at the reporter and his group with her good remaining hand, "I don't care if I am proving that bitch right by doing everything I do as Weaponsmith! The League accepted my past and never judged me for it! Because of them I finally got a chance to feel a girl my age does, despite everything we do! They are all I have in this world and I'll fight for them and alongside them for as long as I breathe! I'll keep doing all of those actions as a villain to make sure Y/N will succeed in his goals."
The reporter leaned closer to her with a curious look on his face, "To make sure the Mask will succeed in his goals? Tell me. Tell me why you to help specifically him in his goals?"
"It's because I love him!" Origami declared loudly. There was no hesitation in her voice when those words left her mouth. She knew how she felt about Y/N. She came to realize her feelings about him a while ago at this point, thanks to Toga and Magne, and she was not going to hide them from this man if he really wanted to know about why she was so determined about helping Y/N, "I love L/N Y/N for everything he did for me and I will keep fighting for him! I will keep fighting for my friends from the League and you won't stop me from helping my friends and someone I love!"
The reporter gasped in excitement, "She's doing this for someone she loves! Love between two members of the League of Villains! How great! How great of a story this is! Ms. Kizuki will be so proud of me once I will deliver this story to her! I can already see the headline of it! She'll be so proud of me that she might make me her personal assistant...!"
As the reporter continued to exclaim how gladdened he was by the material he had just received from Origami, the dark green haired girl made her move as she knew it was her time to attack. She quickly picked up her pistol from the ground and aimed it at the reporter, intending to put a bullet through his head even if her aim was much lousier in her left hand. She fired her pistol and the bullet grasped the reporter's cheek, hitting the the woman standing behind him instead.
The reporter stopped himself in his proud declaration as opened his mouth again, this time having a cannon inside it. He fired a normal not exploding cannonball at Origami and Origami was send flying backwards once it collided with her body. The dark green haired yelled out in pain as she was thrown backwards and landed on the ground a second later, finding herself to be laying right next to a large tree.
She set her eyes on the tree she had landed next to as soon as she landed next to it and reached her good remaining hand to grab it. She gritted her teeth, putting everything she had in herself as the tree next to her began glowing and turned into a modern looking cannon in the blink of an eye. Not wasting any time, she used the cannon she had just created and put it to good use.
"A cannon?!" The reporter exclaimined in suprise, having not been made aware of Weaponsmith being capable of creating such a thing as his companions watched what just happened with suprise written all over their faces. The fox man jumped to the side, intending to put himself out of the cannon's reach as it was when the reporter realized something. Her power must have evolved right now right before his eyes.
He never got a chance to finish those thoughts of his as the cannonball collided with the area surrounding him, creating a large explosion upon the impact. Origami wasn't done with them, though. The dark green haired girl made a mental note to tell the rest of the League about herself creating a cannon out of a tree as she grabbed two rocks and created two grenades out of them.
Not wasting any time, she removed the the pins of one of the grenades and tossed it towards where the reporter and his companions from the Liberation Army were standing right now before doing the same with the second grenade. She couldn't see her opponents right now because of the smoke created by the cannonball. The grenades exploded as soon as they touched the ground, causing to even more smoke and dust to cover the area around her.
When the smoke died down, she got a chance to witness she scene she had created with her explosives. What she saw was a literal bloodbath and everyone from the reporter's group or rather was remained of it were dead, their body parts separated across the area and their blood covering it. The reporter himself was still alive. He was mortally wounded as he was missing both of his and legs but was still alive.
She picked up her pistol, pushing her back on her feet as she walked over to the dying reporter. He looked up at her, unable to stand up because of him missing a leg from Origami's cannon attack as she aimed her pistol right at his head. She wasted no time when it came to firing her pistol. Even with her having a much lousier aim with her left hand, the bullet hit the unknown man right between his eyes, ending his life.
Origami looked down at the body of the man she had just killed and stared silently at it for a few seconds. Just like with Creature Rejection Clan, she felt nothing after ending his life. This man was a threat to her and her friends to the League and she knew his death along with the deaths of everyone she had killed in the past several seconds had to be done for their safety and her own safety.
She stepped away from his body a second later and walked over towards where her katana was laying right now. She picked it up and sheathed it, knowing she won't make a good use of it right now because of her lacking a good portion of her sword hand right now. She holstered her pistol a second, having gotten an idea how she should fight the members of the Meta Liberation Army right now.
The dark green haired girl made her way across the garden, doing her best not to step on the sharper pieces of the rubble with her barefeet as she wanted to avoid hurting herself more than she already was hurt and collected every piece of rock she could get her hands on. After putting each pieces of rocks she had collected in her pocket, she turned a rock she left in her grasp into a grenade as she intended to throw it at another group of the Meta Liberation Army members she definitely come across sooner or later.
Not wasting any time, Origami started to make her way away from the scene and went back to her personal own task of finding someone else from the League and teaming up with them against the Metal Liberation Army. It was when she made a promise to herself. When all of this will be over and once they will defeat Re-Destro's army, she will finally tell Y/N how she felt about him.
She was unaware she was being watched when she left the scene. The fox man watched Origami leave the scene from where he landed after jumping away from the explosion, clutching his wounded bleeding arm as he was the only person who survived Origami's suprise cannon attack followed by her grenade attack. His eyes didn't show disgust towards the girl who just killed several of his comrades, though as they showed admiration and respect instead.
-----
Tengai stayed close to Rappa as both of them continued to make their way further into Deika City. Nothing of note had happened since they split from the rest of the League and went their own way in their pursuit of the tower where the Meta Liberation Army was keeping Giran. The former yakuza leader stayed away from all the fighting taking place in Deika City for most of the time and allowed Rappa to do all the fighting, occasionally forming his protective shield around himself from time to time whenever the situation required him to do so.
Rappa didn't mind it one bit as it meant he could take care of all the members of the Meta Liberation Army by himself. Tengai had lost the count of the unconscious bodies Rappa left behind them int heir pursuit of their destination a long time ago and they had been going further into the city for about several minutes as of now. Despite having already defeated so many enemies at this point and despite having fought Gigantomachia shortly before, Rappa's still seemed to have enough energy within him to fight their opponents.
"Now this is the fight Y/N promised me!" Rappa declared with pure excitement in his voice as he punched a member of the Meta Liberation Army in the face. The said member of the Meta Liberation army was knocked out by the force of the punch and his umoving unconscious body was send flying backwards. The body slided across the ground, landing a few meters away from the former yakuza members.
"You seem to be enjoying yourself righ tnow, Rappa." Tengai stated, having made just everyone from the squad who had jumped on him was unconscious as he pushed himself into walk towards his and Rappa's destination and walked past the brawler.
Rappa followed him, "Really? You just noticed it? First all the fighting we did with Machia for the last month and now this? This is the best fighting I've seen in ages! To think all of this would have missed me if we didn't ditch Overjerk and joined the League."
"Try not to tire yourself out too much." Tengai told him as Rappa walked past him, getting on the front of the group of two, "We still have a bit of a way to the tower and I doubt we'll make our way to it without coming across more of the MLA warriors in the process."
Rappa shrugged his concerns off, "Why do you worry about this so much? If the rest is as weak as the rest, we won't have much of a problem with it. Even if I get tired, which I doubt it will, all you have to do is put your barrier over us or something."
"My barrier will not hold on forever, especially if we will have several people hitting it at the same time." Tengai reminded him, "It also won't work if they somehow separate us because I'm only able to create one barrier in case you haven't noticed."
"Then we have to make sure that doesn't happen." Rappa stated and pointed behind him, gesturing to all the unconcious members of the Meta Liberation Army to prove his point, "Which I doubt will be difficult considering what has happened so far."
"If only Master Y/N had your confidence." Tengai shook his head, comparing the confidence Rappa was showing right now and the lack of confidence Y/N displayed in himself from time to time.
Rappa raised his brow, "Master Y/N? Didn't you only use this 'Master' title of yours to refer to Overjerk and later Shigaraki after we joined the League?"
"I figured out I should finally start referring him in the right. He and Master Shigaraki are leading us together, after all." Tengai explained himself.
Rappa chuckled, "You seem to have settled down nicely in the League, despite being reluctant about it after I brought up Y/N's offer to you when the raid happened."
"I was doing it merely out of the loyalty I had for Overhaul back when the raid happened." Tengai pointed out, "If that happened now, I'm sure I wouldn't have that uncertainty. Masters Shigaraki and Y/N have proven themselves to be better than Overhaul to me over the course of the last three months and I'll be glad to help them accomplish their goal of reset."
Rappa once again chuckled, shaking his head, "I know. I saw the look in your eyes when Shigaraki gave his speech back in the doctor's lab. I could see inspiration in your eyes. If there's only thing fighting in the underground taught me, it is that only the best warriors become so inspired by other people and cause such inspiration in other people..."
Tengai opened his mouth, intending to say something about this as someone jumped above the fence in front of them, intending to attack them with his power. His words died in his throat as he wasted no time and formed a shield around himself and Rappa, preventing the unknown man from attacking them. The unknown man slammed himself against the shield as Tengai quickly deactivated it and allowed Rappa to punch him in the face.
"Such strength in just one punch..." A deep male voice sounded in front of them as Tengai and Rappa looked over to the source of it and saw a very tall and burly man standing in front of them with a few members of the Meta Liberation Army standing on each of his sides. The man Rappa had just knocked out landed in front of him, unconscious as the man removed his hoodie, "Grand Commander wasn't exaggerating when he told me about you."
Tengai looked at him questioningly, "Who are you?"
"No fucking way." Rappa muttered under his breath upon laying his eyes on the man in front of him with suprise evident in his voice and on his voice, "Teppei Ren?"
Tengai shifted his gaze to him, "Who?"
"One of the top boxers in Japan." Rappa explained to him who Teppei was as Tengai nooded in understanding. After seeing Hanabata earlier, nothing was going to suprise him when it came to the people who were part of the Meta Liberation Army, "I often saw him in the TV."
"If you know me, you probably know what Meta Ability I have." Teppei smiled at the recognition he received from Rappa, beginning to take off his hoodie off. Upon taking it off, he was revealed to have not one, not two, but three set of arms.
Not wasting any time, Teppei snapped his fingers on his upper right hand and his subordinates charged towards Rappa and Tengai. Rappa and Tengai's reaction was instant. Rappa charged towards his new opponents, intending to take them out before he will go after Teppei as Tengai stepped backwards, standing ready to create a shield around either himself or Rappa if either of them will find themselves in trouble.
Rappa and his new opponents met in the middle of the road between them. The former yakuza member wasted no time and began his assault on his new opponents as soon as he reached them, punching one person after another as he made sure the area would be completely cleared out before his inevitable clash with Teppei as he doubted Teppei was going to let him and Tengai go without a fight. If he was honest with himself, the thought of facing one of the top boxers in Japan was making him feel extremely excited on the inside.
Upon seeing how each subordinate from his group was knocked out by Rappa, Teppei pushed himself into charge towards Rappa and clenched each of his hands. Rappa turned towards him upon hearing how Teppei charged towards him and put his hands in front of his masked face, intending to defend himself from the upcoming attack as Teppei began his assault just a second after reaching him.
The boxer began sending countless punches towards Rappa, directing one punch after another with all of his hands in a rapid manner as Rappa continued to keep himself in his blocking position, waiting for the right opportunity to strike back. He had to admit something to himself, though. Teppei's punches were strong and the fact that he was trying to punch him with all of his hands at the same time made the blocking job way harder for Rappa than it normally would be.
It was when something else started to happen. Rappa started to slowly slide backwards. The former yakuza member immediately took notice of this, making sure not to lower his guard while doing so. He shook his head to himself, feeling how Teppei was starting to break through his defense as he couldn't remember the last time when he was struggling so much to stop an enemy from punching him.
Seeing what was about to happen, Tengai wasted no time and readied himself to create a barrier around Rappa. He never got a chance to do what he had intended, though as it was when a few members of the Liberation Army jumped over the fence. It was followed by a black hole forming next to him. He shifted his gaze to this black hole and a man with many small black holes in his body and his nails painted black appeared in his view.
The appearance of the holes was immediately followed by a few small holes popping out on Tengai's right arm. Blood began to spill out from them right after. Tengai's eyes widened, having not been expected for something like this to happen as he wasted no time and created a barrier around himself, giving up on his original plan of creating one around Rappa. Especially after the people who just jumped over the fence began to advance towards him.
Not wasting any time, the said people began to slam everything they had against the barrier in an attempt of breaking it and taking care of Tengai as Tengai shook his head to himself, knowing he had to think of something otherwise he and Rappa would be in big trouble. The former yakuza member looked at his arm, seeing the bleeding black holes were gone right now. They must have vanished after he created the barrier to defend himself.
He shifted his attention back to the people who were surrounding him a second later. He once again shook his head to himself, feeling himself grow nervous. The normally stoic man felt nervous for the first in a long time because of the tight spot he had found himsef in right now. Because of his lack of combat experience, he knew he didn't stood a chance against any of those people and he knew Rappa wouldn't help him right now either as he was too busy fighting Teppei right now.
It was when the holes man climbed out of the black hole he had created in the fence and made his way over to the barrier Tengai was keeping himself locked up in. He looked directly into Tengai's eyes as he created a black hole in the field and reached his hand into. Keeping his eye contact with Tengai, the nameless man reached inside the barrier and tried to grab him in an attempt of making his and the rest's job easier.
Tengai backed away from the holes man, doing his best to keep himself as far away from him as he could. He looked at his left arm shortly after, seeing how the black holes from earlier had opened up on it. As all of this continued to happen, he shifted his gaze to Rappa to see how his fight with Teppei was going with hopes of Rappa having a way to break himself away from the fight with his opponent and helping him in some way.
Unfortunately, it didn't seem like Rappa would help him anytime soon as Rappa seemed to be in a much worse position than he was a few moments earlier. He wasn't sliding across the ground anymore, but was instead standing in one place like someone had frozen him into it. His body was shaking as he was putting all the strength he had in himself to block the upcoming punches from Teppei.
Rappa's defense gave up a second later as Teppei finally got what he wanted ever since his fight with Rappa started. He finally got a chance to punch Rappa. He directed six firm punches at Rappa's body with all of his hands and Rappa clenched his teeth, allowing his body to take all these punches as he knew he had no other choice but to take them. There was simply no way of avoiding them right now.
One of those punches was directed right at Rappa's face. The force of the impact was so strong that it tore Rappa's mask off of his face, revealing his face to his opponent. Despite feeling impressed by Teppei's fighting skills being at such a large level just like they were shown to be on the TV, Rappa couldn't help but glare at his opponent. He quickly collected himself from all the punches he had just received from the boxer and nodded to himself, knowing it was his time to strike back.
Not wasting any time, he activated his Quirk and began swinging his fists widly at Teppei. Unfortunely none of his attacks worked as Teppei managed to block each of his attacks with arms. Rappa gritted his teeth, pushing himself further in order to land a hit on Teppei but his efforts were in vain in the end as he didn't manage to land a hit on Teppei. After his failed assault, he let out a deep breath and took one step backwards.
Teppei smirked at him, "Not bad. You really are strong and can use your Meta Ability well. I can see why you were such a menace to other cage fighters in the underground. Too bad your skills don't stand chance to my Meta Ability. I tiressly trained myself to make sure my fighting skills with all my arms as good as they can be. I still have to make myself weaker whenever I am on the ring, though because of the limit I was given regarding my abilities. If we will rebuilt the society with Destro's vision, then I will be able to use the skills that I had worked on my entire life without any limits. This is why I accepted the Grand Commander's offer when he asked me to join his army after one of my matches."
Rappa remained silent, not caring about Teppei's words right now as he charged at him again, intending to repeat his attack. Teppei easily blocked his attack, though and replied to it by punching Rappa in the face. Quickly collecting himself, Rappa put his hands in front of his face in a protective manner as he knew what was about to happen. It happened right after as Teppei began his second assault, swinging all of his hands widly at him at the same time.
Tengai shook his head to himself, having watched everything happen from the barrier he was keeping himself contained in and shfited his gaze to the people around him. Everyone were still hitting his shelter with everything they had and the holes man was still trying to grab him. The nervousness he was feeling right now only increased after he saw how his barrier began to crack, knowing what was about to happen.
He set his gaze on Rappa again and saw Teppei being seconds away from breaking through his defense again. Knowing Rappa may not be able to take another set of punches from Teppei as he doubted Rappa's opponent would stop with only six punches this time. Making a decision not many people in his position would do, he deactived the barrier around him and activated it around Rappa to protect him from Teppei and allow him to take a moment of rest.
Rappa looked around himself with a suprised look on his face when a familiar yellow barrier formed around him. Realizing what must have happen, he looked around himself and saw what was happening to Tengai right now. He was laying on the ground as the members of the Meta Liberation Army were beating him up. One of them even tore off his mask off his face and tossed it aside, leaving Tengai's face visible for everyone.
The former yakuza member shifted his gaze from Tengai, feeling anger go through his body at the view of what was happening to him right now and shifted his Teppei. Upon laying his eyes on the barrier keeping Rappa safe from him and his punches, he smirked to himself as he knew this barrier was nothing but an inconvenience to him. Not wasting any time, he began punching the barrier with all of his hands as he intended to destroy it as soon as possible and finish what he was doing with Rappa.
Tengai continued to lay on the ground, feeling waves of pain going through his body as the members of the Liberation Army didn't spare him and continued to beat him up with everything they had. He felt more blood leaving his body right now, painting his clothes. He immediately realized what it must have meant. The holes man must have opened more black holes on his body and this time, they didn't open on his arms.
He clenched his teeth in pain, knowing he could stop all of this by forming a barrier around himself, but he knew that doing so would condemn Rappa to losing to Teppei. This is why he decided to keep the barrier around Rappa and continued to allow the Liberation Army members to beat him up. Just as he began to lose his consciousness, he wished he could make more than just one barrier as this way he would be able of protect both himself and Rappa.
It was when his wish became true as a barrier formed itself around himself completely all of a sudden. There was something different about this barrier, though. It had sharp spikes sticking out of it. Most of the members of the Meta Liberation Army were impaled on it, resulting in a lot of blood being sprayed around. The holes man was the only one who was fortunate enough to be out of the barrier's reach when it formed itself around Tengai.
Tengai weakly looked up after feeling how the punches and kicks stopped and his eyes widened in suprise as he realized he found himself contained within a familiar yellow barrier. His suprise only grew as he saw multiple spikes sticking out of it. He slowly pushed himself up to his feet and looked towards where Rappa was fighting Teppei right now, thinking something must have happened to Rappa's barrier if there was one around him right now.
Much to his suprise, Rappa's barrier was still standing strong and still. All the damages it had substained from Teppei's assault were gone and it had spikes sticking out of it as well. Because of the spikes popping out of nowhere, all of Teppei's hands were impaled on them. Teppei let out a long scream of pure agony as soon as his hands were impaled on the spikes, having not a chance to prevent it from happening because of how sudden and out of nowhere their appearance was.
Rappa looked over his shoulder at Tengai, smilling at him as Tengai smiled back at him, both of them realizing what must have happened right now. As Teppei continued to scream in pain, Rappa nodded at Tengai, telling him to deactivate the barrier without saying any words to him. Tengai nodded back at him, letting him know he understood and did exactly what Rappa wanted him to do.
As soon as Rappa's barrier vanished, Teppei moved his wounded hands away from Rappa towards himself and Rappa instantly saw this as a perfect opportunity to attack him. Not wasting any time, he activated his Quirk again and began swinging his fists at him. Not having enough time to block his attacks, Teppei found himself assaulted with a series of countless punches. The strength Rappa had put in those punches was strong that each punch made him take one step backwards.
Upon seeing how Rappa finally got the upper hand in his fight with Teppei, Tengai shifted his gaze from the fight to the holes man. He deactivated his barrier right after. As a result of that, all the bodies that had been impaled on him fell to the ground. He moved towards the holes man and the holes man readied himself to fight him. Tengai was not in the mood to fight him for long, though. Not after the beating he had just received.
He punched the holes man in the face, using all the strength that he managed to gather in himself and the holes man collapsed on the ground. Just as the holes man was about to create a black hole in the ground which he would later use to flee the area, Tengai kicked him right in the face. The holes man's eyes rolled to the back of his head, having just lost his consciousness from Tengai's kick as his unmoving body stayed on the ground.
After making sure the holes man won't cause him more trouble, Tengai shifted his gaze back to the fight between Rappa and Teppei as he wanted to know how it was playing out right now. It was playing out in Rappa's favor as Rappa contined his assault on Teppei, not giving his opponent a second to take a rest. Teppei's face became more and more bruised with each punch he had received from Rappa as his vision was becoming more blurry with each passing second.
Knowing his assault will end soon as he will hit the limit of his Quirk in a few seconds from now on, Rappa knew it was time to finish off this fight. He gathered all the strength he had in himself in his right hand and punched Teppei right in the face with it as he knew it would be a perfect finishing blow for him. As soon as his fist collided with Teppei's face, a loud snap echoed across the area as the force of the pounch was so strong that it snapped his neck.
Teppei's body was send flying backwards as Rappa let out a deep breath, remaining where he stood as he saw it hit the ground a second later. The body of the boxer slided across the ground for a few seconds before stopping a few meters away from Rappa and Tengai. Rappa stared at the body in front of him with a slightly suprised look on his face, having not expected to kill him with his punch as his intention was knocking him out.
His suprise was quickly replaced by the feelings of happiness and excitement, though as the knowledge of him defeating one of the top boxers in the country was making him feel happy on the inside. He shook his head to himself, smilling, "Man. This was one good fight."
"Did you really kill him?" Tengai asked, having just approached Rappa as he stopped next to him and laid his eyes on Teppei's body, "I heard a crack when you punched him in the face."
Rappa nodded in confirmation, "Looks like it. It wasn't my intention, though. I was planning to just knock him out. I must have underestimated the strength that I put in the last punch. On the bright side of all this, I will become known as the man who defeated and killed Teppei Ren in a fight."
"I see." Tengai nodded in understanding.
"What about you?" Rappa asked, "Those assholes really did a number on you before you created your spiky barrier."
"I'll be fine." Tengai replied, "I appreciate the concern, though. Was not expecting to hear this from you."
Rappa shrugged, "It would be weird if I didn't ask you this. We were working together for quite some time at this point, after all."
Tengai nodded at him understanding, allowing himself to smile slightly at Rappa's explanation, "I see."
"What about your spiky barriers, though?" Rappa brought up what just happened to Tengai, "I never saw you do something like this before and I thought you were capable of forming only one barrier. How many of them can you actually do?"
"Unfortunately, I don't have an answer to that at the moment. I'm sure we'll get it after this is all over." Tengai gave him an honest answer, knowing they had no time to think about things like these right now. They had to focus on their task on getting to the tower, "For now, let's just focus on the task we have been given by Master Shigaraki and Master Y/N and focus on getting ourselves on the tower."
"Alright." Rappa nodded at Tengai, knowing he was right as he pushed himself into walk towards the tower, "Come on."
"I'll be right behind you." Tengai nodded as he followed Rappa. He was a bit slow in his steps because of the damage he had substained from the members of the Meta Liberation Army. He was slowly collecting himself from all this damage, especially from the small blood loss he had suffered because of the holes, but still needed some time to do. He will need someone to take a look at him once this fight will end as well. Just in case if he suffered any severe injures he couldn't see right now.
Rappa looked over his shoulder and Tengai saw him struggle when it came to keeping up with him. It made Rappa realize Tengai must have been still collecting himself from the beating he had just received from the members of the Liberation Army. The view of it and the realization to why this was happening made the brawler stop in his tracks and wait for Tengai to catch up to him. Upon catching him to him, Tengai shot him a grateful look and both of them advanced forward together.
Rappa and Tengai wasted no time and started to make their way towards the tower with the intention of reaching it as soon as possible, walking past the lifeless body of Teppei as they did so. The former yakuza members ignored it, knowing they should focus on their task instead. Both of them made sure to keep their guard as they knew their fight with Meta Liberation Army was far from over. The thought of this fight being far from over was enough to make Rappa feel the same excitement that he felt over the course of the last month and a half.
Both former members of the yakuza exchanged glances with each other a second later as neither of them knew what kind of enemies they will come across on their way to the destination and had no idea if one of them will be as strong as Teppei was. They were certain about one thing, though. No matter who they will come across on their way to the tower, Tengai's new spiky barriers and his new ability of making more than just one barrier will definitely be handy in fighting them.

Here we go with the first part of the fight in Deika City. Originally I was planning to put the LOV vs MLA stuff in one big chapter but my plans were changed after I started writing this chapter and realized just how long it may be if I will follow my original plans. After this chapter passed, 20,000 word mark, I decided to go along with the idea of splitting the fight up as it would be for the best. The second part should be out soon (It has almost 6,000 words as of now, by the way)
Saw Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse and holy shit. Everyone on the internet were right about how good this movie was. I just can't find the right words to describe how much I loved this movie. Ending left me wanting for more and I can't wait to see the sequel. There's one thing I'm certain about, though. After this movie and after Everything Everywhere All At Once, I'll make sure to watch out for bagels in fiction from now on.
Oshi No Ko came to an end and I absolutely loved this show. Everything about it was just so good. Will definitely watch season 2 once it comes out and reach for the manga when I will find some time to do so to kill the wait for it.
The first trailer for the finale of AOT came out and it left me hyped for the finale more than I already was after seeing the first part of it back in March. Everything in the trailer just looked so good. Can't wait to watch the finale when it will come out in the autumn.
