Double Agent
Everyone aside from Kitagawa and Narukami was gathered in one place in the cave, having been called there for an urgent meeting about their next move as all of them were in for a long discussion regarding it and what they were going to do when the time for it will come. All of them paid attention to the discussion and offered their thoughts every now and then, knowing they had to be serious about it as all of them knew how important it was.
Y/N made himself vocal in this discussion, wanting to make sure everything would be planned out the right way. The conversation he had with the bee heteromorph and his promise to Tesla and himself of fixing everything played a major part in his planning. He knew their upcoming move against the heroes was a perfect time to fix everything and to show everyone who still didn't believe in them that they indeed cared about them and what happened the last time was not meant to happen.
They knew they had to come up with a good plan if they wanted to make it possible and Y/N came up with a solution to this. They would simply put their plan of making things as clean possible, making sure they will be excluded and won't be harmed by whatever will happen between them and the heroes. However, Y/N and everyone knew the possiblity of a battle without deaths was not possible. Not if they they wanted to win it. It was why some of the top heroes in the country were placed on the possible kill list, letting everyone know they can be killed if they will be left with no other choice. Y/N recalled his promise of not taking half measured anymore when he planned this out as well.
All of them moved to the other part of the planning upon making this sure part was planned out and decided on and the next part of their planning included them splitting up and their roles in the upcoming battle. They didn't have much to say in regards of Skeptic and Kizuki as their roles were decided before the planning even started. The two of them would remain hidden in an isolated place, using this to release the videos and the interviews into the world while providing the rest support on the battlefield.
The matter of the HPSC and the video was brought up a second later, using the mention of the videos to bring this topic up and Skeptic and Kizuki explained how Sanctum was stationed not too far from the current headquarters of whatever remained of the HPSC and him and the Paranormal Liberation Front were ready to mae their move when the right time for it would come. Preferably after the release of Lady Nagant's video.
The matter of the Blackgate Prison was brought up shortly after the HPSC and Y/N found out why Skeptic and Kizuki wanted him to take a video of him scouring the prison question during this. It was to help them plan out an assault on the prison and Y/N was placed in charge of the assault as he would led a mixture of his followers and the remains of the Paranormal Liberation Front. He would be accompanied by a few familiar faces during his assault as Alice, Minene, Daiki, Mummy, Slice and Needle Hair would all join him for this assault. Y/N didn't mind his role in this plan. After all, he did promise his friends that he will come back for them after they were captured...
The matter of Gigantomachia was brought up as well as all of them knew they had to do something to try to reclaim the giant. They knew Gigantomachia was one of the most powerful villains in all of Japan and they had to try to reclaim him in some way. Nozue was volunteered for this job and he was placed for it, having been assigned in charge of all the villains who will join him for their attempt at reclaiming Gigantomachia.
The last matter brought up during this planning meeting was the matter of Kurogiri and Spinner's role in reclaiming him. Everyone knew about the heteromorphs for all over the country were heading the hospital, leaving Spinner and only him capable of doing this job. On the day of their next move, he and Kasai would both be transported to Narukami and Kitagawa and the charge of the hospital in an attempt of reclaiming Kurogiri would begin. Kasai nodded, being more than eager to participate in this while Spinner looked a bit doubtful. Something Kasai didn't fail to notice.
A problem showed up in their planning a second later, though as the matter of the way they would actually reclaim Kurogiri was brought up. Kurogiri was placed in a hospital and the hospital was filled with many doctors and sick people. Charging through the hospital to reclaim Kurogiri would be against what they had decided on earlier and all of them knew they had to come up with an alternative for it.
"...But what about everyone in the hospital?" Magne voiced this concern to everyone, "You know we can't just charge into the hospital if they have sick people there. It will go against our idea of making things as clean as possible as it will put all of them in danger."
Y/N crossed his arms and gave her a nod of agreement, "Good point, Magne. I was about to bring this up myself."
"Why would they even place him in a hospital full of civilians?" Slice wondered out loud, "They knew the possibility of us coming after him was high."
"Do you really need to ask?" Mummy asked her in return, "They want to raise their PR by having our charge through the hospital to get him."
"Those government dogs doing something like this to make themselves look good and to make us look bad? Who would have guessed..." Geten muttered under his breath with sarcasm evident in his voice.
Skeptic crossed his arms, "So, does anyone have any idea how to approach this?"
"How about they won't enter the hospital straight away?" Origami suggested. Upon hearing her say this, everyone turned their attention to her and she tensed up a bit upon feeling all the eyes she had on her right now.
Skeptic raised his brow at her, "What?"
"Yeah. What?" Kizuki wanted to know what Origami meant as well.
"Spinner and his followers don't need to charge the hospital right away." Origami began to explain while feeling everyone having their attention on her, "Stand in front of the hospital and come into contact with them through something loud speaking. Show them that you don't want to charge through the hospital to get to Kurogiri and point out to them how he was placed there even if the heroes suspected we will go after him, putting all of them in possible danger. If that won't happen and you will have to charge through the hospital, then everyone will at least know that you tried to stop this."
Everyone stayed silent for a moment, allowing themselves to think about Origami's idea and process it. They all knew how delicate and careful their plans had to be if they wanted to show everyone the better side of them and Origami's idea had gave them something which could work in regards of reclaiming Kurogiri. By the time everyone processed this idea and thought about it for a bit, Origami was greeted by the approval looks and words from everyone.
Skeptic hummed thoughtfully, "Hmm. This can work."
"Yeah. If things will go bad, then everyone will know we were forced to do it because of the situation the herous placed us in after we tried to stop it." Nishimura nodded in agreement, looking at his lieutenant with a look of approval on his face. It would be a situation they would be actually capable of stopping. Unlike what happened with Gigantomachia.
"Good idea, sweetheart." Magne smiled at Origami, giving her a thumbs up.
Toga wrapped her arm around Origami and pulled her best friend closer to herself with a smile on her face, "That's our Origami-chan~."
"Yup. She really is amazing. Isn't she?" Y/N smiled as Origami as Origami glanced away from him with a blushing face.
"What about you?" Dabi addressed Spinner as he set his attention on the lizard man who kept himself silent even if this part of the discussion was related to him, "Have anything to say?"
"Not really. I'll do what I can to make sure Origami's idea will work." Spinner gave him his answer, not having much to say and from the tone of his voice, everyone could tell there was something he cared about more than all the hetermorph stuff. There was some doubt in his voice as well, "For as long as we'll save Shigaraki, I'm fine with whatever..."
Dabi shrugged, "Alright."
"Okay. That settles in, then." Y/N stated, knowing the discussing regarding this topic was done as Origami's idea took care of the problem of them needing to come up iwth an alternative of charging through the hospital.
"Do we have anything else to discuss?" Nozue asked him, standing in the corner of the cave with his arms crossed.
Y/N glanced at him and shook his head, "No. That's everything for now. We would have more things to discuss if we knew when we will make our next move. When we will know when we will make our next move, then we will have this discussion again and will discuss all the stuff that is left to discuss."
"Fine." Nozue replied in understanding.
Y/N shifted his gaze away from him a second later and looked around everyone to everyone as he addressed all of them before all of them will part way to take care of their own stuff, "Alright. Everyone. That's it for now. Thank you for coming here and allowing us to plan all of this out. Every choice we make from here has to count and it's going to take all of us working together to make this plan succeed. We need to make the next battle count the best we can as they'll be no third chances after it. Our fight against the hero society will be won or lost on the day of our next move."
"If we lose, then we'll lose. But if we win, then the first part of our reset plan will be completed and the time for the rebuilding process will come." Y/N didn't stop there and looked around everyone around him for the next time as he wanted all of them to know what he had to say to them, "And remember, no matter how this plays out, we're in this together. Look out for each other. As for now, thank you for showing up today and giving this your all. I'll see all of you later."
It was everything Y/N had to say as everyone began to part ways a second later, heading out to do whatever they've been planning to do after this meeting. Kizuki and Skeptic went off together and the same happened with Dabi and Geten. Y/N was not suprised by them leaving together. Spinner left by himself a second later and Kasai followed him without a word. Nodding to himself, Y/N made a mental note to have a conversation with his lizard friend later.
He set his eyes on Origami a second later and saw her having a conversation with Slice while Toga walked off to do her own stuff with Nozue doing the same. He didn't know what Slice and Origami were talking about as they were out of his hearing range. He could tell it was something important from their body langauge, though and decided to leave them with their conversation. Whatever it was the two were talking about right now.
He shifted his gaze to Needle Hair a second later and saw her silently leaving the place by herself. Y/N looked at her with a worried look on his face as Needle Hair hadn't said anything during the planning and just nodded along to everything around her. Even when she found out she will participating in the assault of the Blackgate Prison. Knowing he had a mental note to talk with her earlier, he pushed himself into walk to talk with her.
Y/N made his way to her and called out for her, "Needle Hair."
Needle Hair stopped in her tracks and turned around to look at him, "What is it?"
"I just want to check on you as we didn't get a chance to talk about it." Y/N explained, "How you've been handling everything? You know. After what happened to Tesla and the rest of your group..."
"I'm doing as best as I can. Or trying to, at least. It's not easy, Y/N. You already know that..." Needle Hair gave him an honest answer, letting out a sigh as she glanced away from him for only to glance back at him a second later, "They were more than just friends to me, Y/N. We really grew close during out time in prison. Yanagisawa-kun was more than just a leader to me and I could always count Sugaya-kun and Yukimura-chan. As for Kirara-chan, we were close. She really mattered to me a lot..."
"I know it did. I know how it feels like to lose your friends." Y/N nodded with a sympathetic look on his face with his mind flying to Twice and Tengai, "But that's why I wanted to talk to you. You've been quiet. Too quiet. I know what it means as I was in your place after Twice and Tengai was killed and I was in the bad place before Tesla-kun got me out of this. I just want you to know that I'm here if you'll need someone to talk to about it."
Needle Hair exhaled deeply, crossing her arms as she glanced away, "Thanks, but I'm not sure talking is going to fix this. They're gone, and no matter what we do, we can't bring them back."
Y/N stepped closer to her, "You're right. Talking won't bring them back. However, I know Tesla wouldn't want to see you like this. He didn't want to see me like this even if he barely knew me and I know it would kill him to see you like this."
"Maybe you're right about that." Needle Hair admitted, looking like she was thinking about Y/N's words as her arms loosened up a bit, "Yanagisawa-kun always believed in people whom he had associated himself with, even when they were at their worst. He believed in me when I didn't believe in myself around the time we got locked up and he believed in you even when I and the rest were far from happy and open towards working with you again."
Y/N stopped directly in front of her, keeping himself close to her but not too close to make her uncomfortable, "Exactly. Tesla-kun saw something in you, and I see it too. You're strong, Needle Hair. Even now, when things feel impossible. You've already survived so much."
Needle Hair looked down at her own hands, "Strong? Me? I lose every fight which I get myself in. I wasn't killed by the yakuza because of Westbrook-san killing the wall guy just as that asshole was open to cut my throat. I don't feel strong at all. I feel lost. Like all the purpose I found with my friends is just gone now."
"Then find a new purpose with us," Y/N told her as he placed his hand on her shoulder in a gentle comforting manner, "We're all still here, fighting for the same thing. You're part of this team, and we need you. You're a part of this team as much as everyone else and we can't do this without you. The deaths of your friends won't be in vain. They will be remembered by the new world. I know you'll make them proud by continuing the fight and seeing the end of it where their death will be honored."
Needle Hair looked down for a second, looking like she was deep in her own thoughts and looked up at him again a second later with a small smile on her face, "Thank you. I'll try for them. I'm gonna make sure their deaths won't be for nothing."
"That's all I can ask." Y/N smiled back at her as he gave her a pat on her shoulder, before stepping back to give moe space, "Now, get some rest. We'll need all the strength we can muster for what's ahead."
"I will. Thank you." Needle Hair nodded at him as she turned away from him and walked away. Y/N watched her leave for a moment, shifting his attention away from her when she vanished from his view. He left the cave a second later himself with Origami, Magne, Daiki, Nishimura, Minene and Alice, wanting to train his new powers as he knew he had a lot of training ahead of him and too little time to actually train. This is why every minute of training counted in his mind.
----
The atmosphere in the room was tense and depressing as Izuku clenched his hand, having his eyes set on Aoyama and Aoyama's parents who were seated on the chairs in front of him with ashamed and guilty looks on their faces. If the green haired boy was honest with himself, he still had a hard time believing everything turned out the way it did. Following his conversation with Eri and Hagakure coming to get him to show him something urgent, he was taken by his invisible classmate to the woods outside of U.A.
What he saw there shocked him beyond words as he and Aoyama having a conversation with his parents and this convesation revaled to him that Aoyama was working for All For One for all this time and was his spy at U.A. Adding more shock to his already shocked state, Izuku found out Aoyama was born Quirkless, just like him and Y/N and received his power from All For One, just like Y/N.
The dark green haired boy was noticed by Aoyama and his parents shortly after and Aoyama explained everything to Izuku, calling himself a disgusting villain and explaining to him how ashamed he was of himself when he found out Izuku was born Quirkless, just like him. He tried to attack him shortly after and his laser would have definitely hit him if it wasn't for Hagakure stepping in and deflecting the laser, loooking and feeling just as betrayed as Izuku felt in this moment. Aoyama and his parents were apprehended by him a second later, leaving them unable to move or escape.
Izuku and Hagakure returned to U.A a second later and informed everyone of what just happened. Aoyama and his parents were bounded shortly after and everyone slowly began to gather themselves in the room. Many people were there. Nezu, Present Mic and Ectoplasm were present from U.A's facualty with Aizawa being present though a video call and All Might was present as well, looking deeply hurt and saddened by this turn of events.
The police force were present at the scene as well, having surrounded the bounded family as Naosama stood there with Sansa and many other namless police officers. One familiar face to Izuku was among them as well and this person was Nishijima. The police officer looked far worse than what he looked late the last time Izuku saw him in person. He had heavy bags under his eyes and looked like he was sad for all the time. Izuku knew it must have been because of Asano.
No one took this information as bad as Izuku's classmates, though as all of them hurried into the room in shock upon getting the news. Upon seeing all of them arrived, he could see the betrayal and sadness and event bits of denial and tears on thei faces when they set their eyes on Aoyama. Bakugo was there as well, keeping himself distanced from everyone. Aoyama himself stayed silent, looking down with a deeply ashamed look on his face with his cheeks having tear marks on them.
Naomasa glanced at All Might, Present Mic, Ectoplasm and Nezu as gave them an explanation of everything, "...So, he was given a Quirk and ended up being controlled. It was appended to him around 10 years ago. I don't think we should worry about anything happening now or him staying loyal to All For One like what happened with Lady Nagant."
Nezu looked over his shoulder at Aoyama's classmates with a saddened look on his face, "If all of you could, please, just step away for some time."
"There's now way in Hell we are staying away from this!" Todoroki replied, clenching his hands.
"If Hagakure-san didn't expose you, what exactly were you planning to do?" Ojiro asked, having his hands set on Hagakure's shoulders.
Momo shook her head, "I don't believe it..."
"Aoyama! Tell me that this is all a lie!" Kirishima asked with a desperate look on his face, wanting this to be a big misunderstanding. The ashamed silence he had received from Aoyama in return was everything he needed to get from hi, though.
"Poor kids..." Nishijima shook his head with a pitful look on his face, having experienced a betrayal of someone who he was close to not that long and knowing how it felt like.
"A Quirkless child gets his power from All For One. It's just what happened to him..." Bakugo remared quietly, standing on the side as everyone shifted their attention to him for a second. All of them knew the person he was talking about right now.
"Aoyama. Is this why you were against saving L/N even after most of us grew open to the idea of saving him after everything with Eri went down?" Ochaco wanted to be sure after Y/N was brought up by Bakugo even if it felt kind of obvious to her.
Aoyama nodded in confirmation and broke himself out of his silent state, "Yes. I knew he couldn't be saved the moment I found out that he and Midoriya were old friends. He is doing everything he is doing because he wants to and didn't have to do it, just like I did. Even if he would agree to be saved, All For One wouldn't let him go as his fate was sealed the moment he agreed to go with him and agreed to get his power from him, just like mine was sealed..."
"Is this why you didn't fight him when everything at the mansion went down?" Ochaco wanted to know as Izuku clenched his hand.
"Yes. He genuinely scared me back then and he scares me to this day..." Aoyama explained everything further, "The way how he showed indifference towards everyone he killed and harmed and how cold he seemed when we fought him reminded me of what I know about All For One. He is slowly becoming like him and this is what terrifies me about him. This is why I knoew he couldn't be saved and had to be stopped. Even if he claims to be different from him, he will always be nothing but a puppet to All For One."
Bakugo sighed with a guilty look on his face, "Puppet of the demon lord..."
"Y/N..." Izuku clenched his hand more.
Aoyama's dad cut the conversation short a second later by trying to defend his son, "We were just following orders. If we didn't, then we would have been killed by him. We know as he saw the examples. Yuga had no idea about any of this! All he did was make sure no one would find out about it. Me and my wife are at fault here."
"All the people that could have died because of me are in front of us. I had the nerve to hang out with you guys and act as if I was one of you. " Aoyama bowed his head with a shame filled look on his face as tears slowly began to go down from his eyes again. He looked up at Izuku a second later when he added more to what he was saying right now, "To see you, a former Quirkless person like me. Knowing you were struggling with burden of fighting All For One and having your best friend turn against you filled me with despair of my own misery."
More tears began to fall from his eyes as went further into his words, "When I put down my despair behind the heavy burden, I realized I was rotten to the core. The Aoyama Yoga you know is a filthy villain through and though..."
"Then why did you help Tokoyami and Bakugo at the training camp?" Izuku reached the the limit with clenching his hand as he asked Aoyama in a loud voice while Tokoyami and Bakugo shifted a bit upon being mention, knowing what was Izuku talking about right now. His voice became louder with each word he had uttered to Aoyama, "Was the cheese from that night signifying that you were doing as All For One ordered? I didn't realize it, then. It was an S.O.S. Wasn't it? Why are you crying right now? It's because you couldn't do as All For One wished. Right?"
All Might slowly reached out towards Izuku, "Young Midoriya..."
"No one should be named a villain fo the rest of their lives because they commited a crime!" Izuku paid no attention to All Might right now and reached out his hand towards Aoyama, "Take my hand Aoyama-kun. You can still become a hero!"
"Wait, Midoriya-kun. Sansa. Cover his mouths for now." Naomasa cut Izuku off as Sansa did as he was told by him and covered Aoyama mouth with a gag. He set his eyes on the dark green haired boy a second later, "Midoriya-kun. No matter the circumstances, the fact that he was helping All For One commit crimes remains unchanged. You saw it yourself what happened the last time we tried to help someone who was helping All For One with L/N."
He shifted his gaze to Aoyama a second later as he added, "What's more. How can we know his power isn't rigged? For all we know, this can be the possibility here even if we don't have any proof of that until we conduct a full examination at central hospital. It isn't wise to allow him to talk any further."
Izuku stayed silent, clenching his hands with teary eyes as Naomasa looked at him with a pitful and saddened look on his face. Out of the corner of his eye, Izuku could see Nishijima was directing the same expression towards him.
Naomasa shifted his attention away from Izuku a second later and stepped closer to Aoyama's parents, "Mr and Mrs. Aoyama. Why did you not report to All For One about our raid on Camino."
"We were unable to send any messages because we could only report to him when he demanded it. His contact information changed each time as well." Aoyama's dad replied as Naomasa clenched his hand.
Naomasa nodded in understanding, "I see. So he was covering his back in case you were captured. In that case, that battle was..."
"Tsukauchi-san." Izuku called out to Naomasa as Naosama looked at him, having his hand on his earpiece, "Locating All For One is near impossible. That's what everyone is saying right now?"
Kaminari gasped in realization all of a sudden, "I see! We have to at least try to influence their actions!"
"That's right! The only one that can change our current situation is..." Mineta agreed with him as every adult looked at Kaminari with suprised looks on their faces.
Momo stared at Aoyama with suprise written over her face, "...Aoyama-sam might be the only one with ability to deceive All For One!"
"Wait! Hold on a second there, guys!" Present Mic made himself known as Aoyama stared at his classmates with a look of disbelief. Why were they villing to trust a scumbag villain like him?, "A crime is a crime and as much I don't want to say it, you lot have been the greatest victims so far. But even so, you're still willing to believe him?"
Iida stepped forward, "We have to let bygones be bygones. We didn't realize what was truly going on in his heart and were unable to reach out when he needed us the most. We have to shoulder some kind of responsibility that's why now while our classmate is crying and wallowing in despair, we must lend a helping hand as friends. We want to take that hand because that is the only way for him and us to be equals once again!"
"I agree!" Kirishima loudly voiced his agreement, "I agree! Aoyama thought it would be impossible to beat All For One! You had no other optio but to obey him. But now it's different! Midoriya gave you and your parents a chance to break free and end it all. Remember when we stopped Midoriya together? Do you think any of us would blame someone for being Quirkless? Do you think we would hate someone for having to hold back their tears and hide their pain in secret? We can still get through this together..."
"I hate to interrupt when everyone's emotional." Naomasa cut Kirishima off, "But we still need to hold the Aoyama family in custody for the investigation. Their story needs to be verified properly."
Nishijima nodded in agreement, "He's right. I understand how you feel like right now as I experienced something similiar not that long ago. However, we must maintain our composure. We know All For One not the type of person who will allow himself to be lied to. They said it themselves they will be killed by him if he'll catch them lying to him.
"Tsukauchi-san. I take full responsibility for not seeing this happen under our noses." Aizawa's voice rang through their ears a second later as Class A's homeroom teacher spoke up after keeping himself silent for all this time, "However, I feel the same as these guys too."
"Aizawa..." Present Mic muttered his friends name in suprise as he turned the screen around to make it face Aoyama.
"Aoyama. I have no intention to expel you from U.A." Aizawa revealed while looking directly at Aoyama as Aoyama let out a muffled gasp, looking up at him with tears in his eyes as Aizawa went further into his explanation, "As the teacher in charge of Class A, I've devised a plan. Tsukauchi-san. Could you please cover up Aoyama's family ears...?"
------
Alice kept herself silent, leaning against a tree behind her with her arm crossed as she observed Y/N training Overhaul in the middle of the forest not too far from the cave. Once Y/N was done with his conversation with Needle Hair, he went into the forest to train his new powers and she followed him to watch him train as she didn't have much to do right now. She wasn't the only one who followed him. Origami, Magne, Nishimura, Daiki and Minene followed him as well.
The blonde haired young woman lowered her gaze for a bit, not knowing know where the others went. If she were to guess, Dabi and Geten went off to train together while Spinner went off to take care of his own stuff. She saw Kasai following Spinner as well, leading her to assume the two were together now. She would say Slice went with either Geten and Dabi or Mummy if she didn't saw her and Origami talking with each other before Origami followed Y/N outside.
She glanced back at Y/N a second later, seeing him proceeding with his training as he placed his hand on her ground and looked at him in a small awe. She shifted her gaze away from him a second later to look at the others around her and saw what kind of expressions they had on their faces right now. Minene had the most notable reaction out of all of them as the purple haired woman had her hands clasped with a blushing nearly turned on look on her face. If Alice was honest with herself, her forward behavior towards Y/N was a bit weird even if she had to admit that Minene was attractive.
She looked away from Minene a second later, not wanting to bother herself with her thoughts about her for now and focused her thoughts on something else. She pulled out her pistol and glanced at it, finding herself thinking back to what happened between her and Mimic which was followed by her killing Setsuno. All of which happened in cold blood and she didn't even hesitated when she pulled the trigger on both of them.
If Alice was honest with herself, she didn't think much of killing them back then as she knew it was something she had to do to make sure more people from her side of the fight won't die and to make sure Overhaul's plan will fall apart. However, she allowed herself to think a bit more about it once everything calmed down and she felt weird whenever she found herself thinking about it again if she was honest with herself.
The blonde haired woman exhale quietly, knowing she shouldn't feel weird about it as it was the life she had chosen and knew what she was getting herself into when she asked Alice to allow her to come with him. She knew her weird feelings regarding this matter weren't guilt. She didn't regret her choices. They were necessary. But that necessity didn't make it any easier for her to stop thinking about it. Mimic and Setsuno were the first lives she had taken and she doubted they would be last.
She glanced at Y/N once again a second later as he continued his training, his movements precise and focused. A small wave of envy hit her chest a second later. He carried himself with such conviction right now and didn't seem bothered by anyone the people from the Shie Hassaikai that he had killed. Did he wrestle with these thoughts too, or had he mastered the ability to compartmentalize? She really she admired him for that.
Someone else crossed her thoughts a second later as she found herself thinking about her grandfather Awlya and her mothers Ria and Bridgette. The memory of them remained in her mind for a good moment as she asked herself what would they think if they saw her right now. Would they be proud of the choices she'd made? Whenever she came back home crying and needing comforting from all the bullying, her grandfather always told her to stay strong and wait for the right time for her to create a better world for herself, telling her about all the possibilities she had to accomplish this and it was exactly what she was doing right now...
"...You okay, sweetheart?" Alice was taken out of her thoughts a second later as Magne's voice rang through her ears. She looked up at Magne and saw her looking at her with a concerned look on her face. Alice really liked Magne from the short time she had spent with Y/N's comrades. She reminded her of the caring older sister.
Alice nodded at her a second later as she gave Magne the answer which she was waiting for, "Yes. I just lost myself in my thoughts for a moment."
"Really? What was it?" Magne wanted to know.
"Just some of the stuff I've been thinking about since I arrived here. Nothing too important." Alice replied, not wanting to address those thoughts with anyone but Y/N.
"Alright. If you say so." Magne replied in understanding as she set her eyes back on Y/N, "Just don't hide stuff from us if there's something bothering you. Alright? You're one of us now and you will be treated like one of us."
"I know. Thank you." Alice nodded at her gratefully as she shifted her attention to Y/N. Letting out an exhale, she called out for him, "Y/N."
Y/N stopped whatever he was doing right now and set his eyes on Alice, "Alice?"
"Can we talk for a moment?" Alice asked him upon seeing him lay his eyes on her. He wasn't the only one. She felt everyone around her setting their eyes on her, "There's something that's been bothering me since we fought with Overhaul and I want to address this with you."
"Of course." Y/N nodded as he stepped closer to Alice, "What is it?"
"Remember the conversation both of us had with Lady Nagant a while back?" Alice began to voice what she wanted to ask him about, "About the way you felt when you killed Cyborg?"
Y/N raised his brow in a questionable manner, "Yeah. I remember. What about it?"
"How did you felt like back then?" Alice went back to the conversation in question, "You told me how you felt like during your test. But never actually told me how you felt like about killing Cyborg."
"Yeah. Because you asked me how I felt like doing my first action as a villain." Y/N kept his brow raised, "Why are you bringing this up to me right now, though?"
Alice glanced down at her pistol when she gave Y/N her answer, "I just don't know how to feel about killing Mimic and Setsuno. I've been trying to figure it out on my own, but I just end up feeling weird and not knowing what to think. Maybe you could help me out with it a bit..."
"I see." Y/N replied in understanding with this emotion showing on his face. He placed his hand on Alice's shoulder, making her look at him as he looked directly into her eyes to make sure she'd know he meant everything he was about to say to her, "You're not wrong for feeling this way and you're not wrong not to know how to describe those feelings. Everyone reacts to it differently. But it's not something you're supposed to figure out in a day, or even at all. Tell me your honest thoughts about this."
Alice once again lowered her gaze, "I don't regret it even I feel weird whenever I try to think about it. I know it had to be done. They were threats. But I keep thinking about it... about them."
"Good. It means you're human." Y/N replied in approval as he pulled his hand away from her shoulder and crossed his ams, "When I killed Cyborg, I felt weird at first as well almost as if I had to process the fact that I just took someone else's life. I began to feel sick to stomach after a moment as well. The knowledge of me actually having killed someone made my feel like I was about to vomit."
Alice looked up at him with a questioning gaze, "So how did you deal with it?"
"it just came to me with time and the longer I lived this life." Y/N gave her an honest answer, "I didn't realize for a while until we destroyed the Creature Rejection Clan and realized how easily killing them came to me. I'll be honest wth you. Killing people who I am going against comes as easy as breathing to me nowadays. I didn't struggle with it when I fought MLA. I didn't struggle with it when I fought heroes at the mansion. I didn't struggle with it when we went against Overhaul. I know this isn't normal and I know there's something wrong with me if I think like this."
Y/N uncrossed his arms and looked down at his own hand as he went further into his words, "However, I know me feeling like this about this is the price of living the kind of life I choose to achieve my goals. I need if becoming a villain was the price of something like this, then I knew had to pay it and was willing to pay it. I knew I have to change for this life. I knew I had to to sacrifice some parts of my humanity for it. The harsh and the sad truth is that someone who is not be capable of sacrifing anything in themselves won't be able to change anything."
Alice took in Y/N's words, letting them settle in her chest as she asked him, "So you just live with it? Carry it all?"
"Not just carry it all." Y/N shook his head, "Understand it. Use it. If you're going to live this life, you can't let those thoughts paralyze you. Acknowledge them, learn from them and keep moving forward. The moment you stop moving, that's when they consume you and it will come back to bite you in the butt in the worst possible moment."
"She definitely has something you could bite into..." Minene muttered under her breath as Daiki elbowed her while Origami and Nishimura looked at her with a weirded look on their faces. Magne focused herself on the conversation between Y/N and Alice.
"Alright. I understand everything now. Thank you." Alice replied in understanding, having not heard Minene's comment.
"Of course." Y/N gave her a reassuring smile. His smile grew a bit as he placed his hand back on her shoulder, "I just want to tell you something as I didn't have a chance to do it until now. I'm proud of you."
Alice's eyes widened a bit, "W-What?"
"You heard me right." Y/N didn't bother deying what he had just to her, "I'm proud of what you've done back when we fought Overhaul. You played your part as the civilian like we had planned out in the emergency situations perfectly and it saved us in the end. If it wasn't for you taking care of Mimic, then the situation could have gone way worse for all of us."
Alice blinked at Y/N a bit, having forgotten the last time when someone who wasn't her grandfather uttered those words to her if it ever happened. Neverthless. It made her feel really happy on the inside, "...You really mean it?"
Y/N nodded in confirmation, "Yeah. You stepped up when it mattered, Alice. Not just as a fighter, but as someone who understood what needed to be done, even when it wasn't easy. It's exactly what you need to do if you want to achieve your goals. It's not easy to make those kinds of decisions, but you did."
Alice exhaled, feeling a mix of emotions flying through her. She wasn't expecting Y/N to bring this up outside of the topic she had brought him up herself. She had made the decisions to kill Mimic and Setsuno in cold blood to protect her group, but in this moment, Y/N's words made her feel happy on in the inside. She smiled at him, "Thanks, Y/N. That means more than you know."
"Anytime, Alice." Y/N nodded with a smile on his face, "There's something I would like to bring up to you myself."
Alice looked at him questioningly, "What is it?"
Y/N pulled his hand away from her shoulder and showed her the hole in the palm of his hand, "As you know, I have All For One now and I need to learn how to use it in the right away before we'll make our next move. This is something I've been thinking about since our fight with the yakuza. Tell me. Would you like to receive a Quirk from me?"
Alice's eyes widened a bit in suprise, "W-What?"
Y/N nodded in confirmation, "You heard me right. You did more than enough in our fight with Overhaul and I would like to reward you for it. You showed yourself to be far than more dedicated to our goal ever since I first met you and showed me how much you are willing to work towards achieving our goal. Just like me, you weren't born lucky enough to be born with a Quirk if your own and were mistreated for you like your cigarette bub scars are showing. This is why I want to know. Would you like to have one?"
Alice stayed silent for a moment, not giving Y/N an aswer straight away as she allowed herself to process his offer. She shifted her gaze away from him for a second, setting her eyes on the ground as she found herself thinking more and more about his offer. If she were to accept his offer, then she knew she would be able to help him and everyone else more and would be more useful to them on the battlefield. It would help her get rid of the Quirkless nobody she had back in school as welll...
The blonde haired young woman looked back at him a second later and gave him a determined and convinced nod, "...Alright. I'll accept your offer. I would like to have my own Quirk."
"Good. I already choose a power for you." Y/N replied in a pleased manner as he placed his hand without a hole in the palm on her forehead, "I can't give you Adrenaline Rush or Overhaul as I need them. However, I don't think I have much of use for Kurono's Quirk and I feel like you could use it more than I do."
Alice nodded in understanding, blushing a bit from him touching her face like this, "Alright..."
"To give you a heads up. It may take a moment for me to do it as well as I'm not really sure how to do it." Y/N warned Alice as Alice once again nodded in understanding while the others silently watched them from the side. Everyone watched everything with intrigued look on her face while Minene had a blush on her face, letting out a deep exhale.
Alice held her breath, awaiting whatever was going to happen when she noticed red veins moving from Y/N's hand towards her head. Y/N stared at them as well, making a mental note on how to do it in case he'd have to to do this again in the future as the process of activating this part of All For One was much simpler than her thought if he was honest with himself. He expected it to require way more focus from him when the actual process would begin.
The young haired blonde woman continued to hold in her breath as she felt a strange feeling overcoming his whole body when the red veins slowly surrounded her, starting with her head and ending with her feet as she clenched her hands, bracing herself for pain or whatever else would happen when she Kurono's Quirk would be gifted to her and would become hers. She knew this was the possibility and she was ready to face it.
Nothing happened, though. Aside from her body feeling a bit weird, she didn't feel any pain inside of her. Everything felt normal to her. Too normal if she was honest with herself. She felt something in her body changing due to her body receiving a Quirk. She didn't feel anything else aside from that, though. Y/N took her hand away from her forehead a second later, leaving her for anything to happen. But she was still met with nothing, though.
Y/N broke the silence between them by asking, "...How do you feel?"
"Strange. I feel like something in my body changed. But I don't feel anything else, though." Alice gave him an honest answer, looking down at her body.
Y/N hummed in understanding, "I see."
"Is there anything wrong with it?" Alice wanted to know.
"Not really. I'm just curious because my experience if getting my first power was different from yours." Y/N explained, doing his best to ignore Minene drooling at what she had just witnessed and Origami glaring at her while looking at the palms of both of his hands. Now, he had holes on both of them instead of just one like before this, "Can you try using you new power now? Let's see if everything went right or if something went wrong and this is why you don't feel anything."
"Alright." Alice replied in understanding. Letting out a deep exhale, she prepared herself to use her new power. Doing what she thought she was supposed to do to activate it, she activated her new power and a strand of her blonde hair shot out towards, making Y/N step back a bit. Her eyes widened a second later, having just realized it had indeed worked and she no longer was a Quirkless woman, "I did it!"
Y/N smiled at her reaction, happy to see it worked himself, "Well done, Alice."
"Thank you. I don't know what to say right or do right now..." Alice didn't know how to react or how to thank Y/N for giving her this power. Not wasting any time, she hugged him and unintentionally placed his head in her chest because of how happy she was right now. Minene glared at her coldly as Origami elbowed Minene, rolling her eyes.
"How about we start it off by training you a bit? If you have this power, then you should be ready to use it the next time we will make our move." Y/N replied as Alice nodded at him, more than ready to begin the training of her new power...
-----
Izuku and Iida walked along the hallway towards Hatsume's work room with determined looks on their faces. After everything with Aoyama went down and they got filled on the idea of cheating All For One to make him come to them, he and his classmates had a conversation about it in their dorm and all of them, even Shinso who wasn't present for the stuff with Aoyama, became mutually determined in fighting All For One and stopping him once and for all.
He knew he had to get himself ready for this, though and it was why he was making his way to Hatsume's work room with Iida. In order to prepare for the next battle and whatever will happen during it, he needed to get his equipment fixed up and he knew she was the person for the job. Grace brought up Hatsume to him when the two talked about Grace's family on their way to met Eri and explained to her how Hatsume was hanging out with her son. If he got lucky, then maybe he would be with Hatsume right now.
The dark green haired boy stopped in front of the door a second later and raised his hand to knock it. However, he stopped himself mid-knock as an explosion rang inside the workroom. At least it didn't knock off the door off it's hinges this time. The dark smoke started coming out of the room a second later and Izuku and Iida exchanged glances with each other and decided to walk into the room without knocking as Hatsume probably wouldn't even hear it.
The two walked into the room a second later and were greeted by the sight of Hatsume and one unknown boy. It didn't take Izuku long to determine who this boy was. He exactly matched the picture which was shown to him by Grace of her with her family and he could tell he was her son who he recalled to be named Akihiko. The same hair color and the same eye color betrayed it it to him from the start. He glanced at Iida a second later, seeing him confused by this boy as he could tell he was one or two years too young to be a student at their school.
"Wow, Aki-kun! You were right when you told me to watch out with this...!" Hatsume chuckled sheepishly, hugging Akihiko as if to shield him fom the explosion with his head placed between her chest.
Akihiko blushed because of the way his head was placed and let out a muffled, "Y-Yeah! Yeah! I told you so. Can you now let me go?"
"Sure~!" Hatsume grinned, not understanding why was Akihiko embarassed as she let go off the blushing boy. She glanced at Izuku and Iida a second later, "Oh my! Hey there, Midoriya! It's been a while!"
Akihiko narrowed his eyes a bit at Izuku with his embarassment from earlier fading away, "Midoriya..."
"Sorry about that? I should listen more to Aki-kun the next time!" Hatsume replied, having her attention set on Izuku and Iida, "How can we help you?"
"Make it quick. Me and Mei-chan have been working on something for the last few days." Akihiko added with his eyes set on Izuku. Something Izuku didn't fail to notice.
"We came here because..." Iida began to explain.
"Can we postpone it for a second, Iida?" Izuku asked as he returned Akihiko's gaze, "There's something here I need to talk with."
Iida looked at him with a raised brow, "Who?"
"Him." Izuku replied, gesturing to Akihiko as Akihiko crossed his arms, "Your name is Okuda Akihiko, right? Your Okuda-san's son?"
Iida kept his expression raised, "Okuda-san? Midoriya. Who was the woman you spoke with in your dorm?"
"She was Y/N's aunt. The aunt who exposed his parents." Izuku quickly gave him an explanation.
Iida's eyes widened in suprise, "I-I see. So this is why something in the back of my mind was telling me her voice was familiar..."
"I see my mom talked with you?" Akihiko asked as Izuku shifted his gaze back to him and gave him a nod of confirmation, "I'm not suprised. I overheard her talking with my dad about having a conversation with you last night. Even if you know who I am related to, can you please hide from everyone in this place? The less people will know who I am related to here, the better it will be for me and my family."
"Of course." Izuku replied in understanding.
Akihiko crossed his arms, "What do you want to talk about, then?"
"Just about how you've been handling everything and all." Izuku explained with a pitful look on his face, "I know things weren't easy for you and your family for the last year."
"You have no idea. I just want things go to back to the way they were." Akihiko agreed with him, letting out a tired sigh as he turned away from Izuku and glanced at something in front of him, "This is why I asked Mei-chan to help me work on something in her workshop after she showed me around."
Izuku stepped a bit closer to him, "What is it?"
"It's a device which will allow his red energy to be disrupted." Akihiko explained as Izuku set his eyes on the device or rather devices in question because of Akihiko and Hatsume building a few of them. From what it seemed, it looked like they were planning to hand it out to a few people once it will be ready, "Once it will be ready, we will hand it out to all the heroes and whoever else will be capable of stopping him and this way he'll be finally stopped."
"Finally stopped? You mean..." Izuku wanted to be sure if he didn't misheard him.
Akihiko nodded in confirmation, "Yes. I want him to be stopped and locked up."
"Why?" Izuku blurted out in suprise with his expression showing a bit of curiosity and wanting to know the answer. He was suprised because Akihiko's talk about Y/N was completely different from whatever Grace told him and this is why he wanted to know his thoughts on everything.
Akihiko glanced at him with his expression growing sharper, "Do you really need to ask? Have you seen how his actions are affecting my parents? I hate him for all the pain his actions caused my parents and I want him to be stopped and locked up forever if it means my parents will be at peace again. You don't have to worry about other people hating you for his actions as you were described to be his one friend in all the stuff which came out about him so I don't think you'd understand how it feels like to be hated by actons of someone else."
"I see..." Izuku replied in understanding with his gaze lowering itself to the ground. If he was honest with himself, he couldn't blame Akihiko for having an opinion like this on Y/N. He didn't know what Akihiko must have gone through during the last year as Grace didn't go into full details about this to him, having explained the other stuff regarding her family to him.
Akihiko raised his brow at him, "What's up with your reaction? Don't tell me you want to save him?"
Izuku looked up at him and gave him a nod of his head, "Yes. I must try to save him both him and the League. I owe it to him for failing him when he needed me in the past and for being there for me and supporting me when no one else would. Your mom and me had a conversation and it just reassured me in my goal. Despite what happened to us, I know I can still reach him somehow. Even if we won't be friends anymore after this because of what happened between us, I still intend on trying as I need to be here for him when I couldn't be there for him in the past."
"I see. You can try whatever you want. But my opinion on it won't change. My cousin is a mass murderer that needs to be stopped instead of saved and nothing you will say will change my mind." Akihiho replied in understanding, showing Izuku he wasn't a fan of his idea of trying to save Y/N again even after everything.
"And I won't. I don't know what you and your parents went through during the last year and I'm not going to make undermine it. because I want to save Y/N." Izuku shook his head, not wanting to make Akihiko angry by trying to change his opinion. He already looked a bit angry with him when he brought up wanting to save Y/N and he didn't want to add more fuel to the fire. Grace did tell him her son was dealing with a lot even if he never openly admitted this to her and he knew arguing would just make it worse for him.
"Alright. Good to know at least you can respect that." Akihiko nodded at him with his expression growing more pleased as he shifted his gaze to Hatsume. He smiled slightly at her, "Mei-chan. I'll be going to get myself something to drink. I'll be back in five minutes."
"Alrighty. I'll be waiting for you." Hatsume smiled at him as Akihiko turned away from her and walked out of the workshop, leaving her along with Izuku and Iida. Letting out a small sigh, she told them, "At least he didn't snap at you like he snapped at Bakugo. It must have been because of you having a better history with his cousin than Bakugo does."
Izuku raised his brow in suprise, "Bakugo talked with him?"
"Yes. Not that long ago. I had to calm him down as he was really mad at him." Hatsume nodded in confirmation as Izuku and Iida exchanged suprised glances with each other, having not seen her act like this in the past.
Izuku kept his brow raised as his expression showed curiosity, "You've been spending a lot of time with him?"
"Yes. We've been hanging out a lot since meeting each other. He's a nice guy to be around whenever his cousin is not mentioned." Hatsume smiled, "I even convinced him to join the support course at U.A when he will start high school as he originally was against going to our school. I'm planning to help him with preparing for the exam once everything will end."
"Sounds like you want to keep him around you." Iida remarked.
"What can I say? He's a bit cute and I got to know him over the time we spent together." Hatsume smiled as Izuku and Iida exchanged glances with each other, knowing she was meant by that. Knowing this was none of their business, they didn't make any comments about it and focused themselves on their conversation, "...So. Why did you come here?"
------
Kasai walked through the cave, trying to find the one person he wanted to have a private conversation with ever since he arrived at this cave with Y/N and the rest of his group on Cyborg. This person was Spinner. He was interested in having a conversation with him and was doing his best to ask him to talk with him with no effect as Spinner mostly kept to himself following the revelation of All For One wanting to take over Shigaraki's body and only talked when their next move was directly addressed in front of him like the planning discussion earlier today.
He had to admit something else to himself about Spinner as well. Spinner was a bit different from what he was described to be by all the material the Paranormal Liberation Front released about him. He seemed to be unsure and nervous whenever something about him leading the heteromorphs was brought up during when the retrieval plan of Kurogiri was brought up. From the way he was acting, Kasai could tell Spinner was completely unsure on his role as the face of the hetermorphs and only seemed to be certain about something when he showed his determination when Y/N talked about saving Shigaraki from All For One.
If Kasai was honest with himself, the way Spinner was acting right now really reminded him of Y/N before Tesla gave Y/N his talk. He felt like Spinner needed someone to have this kind of conversation with him to push him in the right direction and he felt like he had to do it. Or least had to do it. Whatever would happen during their conversation, he hoped he would manage to do it as well as Tesla did with Y/N and everything will end well.
He found the person he was looking for a second later as he saw Spinner sitting by himself in the corner somewhere deep in the cave, looking like he was deep in his thoughts as he was doing something with his sword in order to prepare it for the upcoming conflict. The lizard man didn't notice him straight away, keeping himself focused on his work as Kasai stopped in his tracks and glanced at Spinner.
"Hello." He called out to him upon stopping in his tracks with his eyes set on the lizard man.
Spinner stopped whatever he was doing with his sword and looked up at him, "Hey. You're one of the people Y/N brought back with himself. What's your name? I don't think I can remember."
"It's Kasai Kazuyoshi." Kasai introduced himself to him.
"Alright." Spinner replied in understanding, making a mental note out of it. He raised his brow at him a second later, "Do you need anything?"
Kasai stepped closer to him and sat down next to him, "I just want to talk?"
Spinner raised his brow, "Talk? About what?"
Kasai gave him his answer upon sitting down on the ground, "You know what. My looks should explain and us working together in the hospital stuff should this to you."
"I see. I should have figured this out." Spinner sighed, "What do you want to know?"
"I just want to know how you're doing." Kasai explained with concern showing in his tone, "I saw the way you were looking back when we were planning everything out earlier today and felt like you could use someone to talk to about it."
Spinner once again sighed, "I see."
"What's been bothering you?" Kasai voiced his question to him.
"What do you think? Everything." Spinner gave him an honest answer, "What we recently found out about All For One wanting to take over Shigaraki's body was just a cherry on top and I mean it in the worst possible way. Not to mention this stuff with me leading the hetermorphs came up again..."
"You don't feel like you're up for the job?" Kasai guessed.
"Yes. I've been telling my doubts about it to everyone ever since this idea was first brought up to Chimera back in the mansion and those doubts never flew away, no matter how many times everyone gave me a talk about it. " Spinner nodded in confirmation without any hesitation on his voice, "I'm not a leader. I never was. Now, I just want Shigaraki to be saved..."
Kasai listened carefully to Spinner's words, his expression softening. He could sense the weight of Spinner's doubts and uncertainty, and for a moment, he considered how best to respond. He knew Spinner's conflict wasn't just about his self-doubts. It was about Shigaraki as well. Even if Spinner was determine to save Shigaraki and Kasai knew that, he knew it still must have been hard for him as he could tell Spinner was close with Shigaraki and whatever was happening with him and the possibility of failing to save him was worrying him.
"I understand," Kasai said after a long pause, allowing himself to think through what he should say to Spinner, "You feel like you're not ready for this. Like you're not the right person for the job. But I think maybe it's not about being ready. It's about choosing to step up, even if you're scared. Even if you don't have all the answers."
Spinner let out a frustrated sigh, his eyes dropping back to the sword in his hands, "I don't know. I see how people look at me. They expect me to be this leader and I'm just not the guy for the job. I don't even know if I can handle it. I was never the type of guy to led someone. I was always the kind of guy who follows the others like I did with Stain and later Shigaraki and Y/N and I was perfectly fine with it because this is something that fits me."
"You're not wrong, you know." Kasai told him, carefully choosing his words to meet Spinner where he was, "Some people are natural leaders, and some are natural supporters. There's nothing wrong with being someone who stands by others and helps them succeed. But sometimes, life pushes us into roles we don't feel ready for because we have something unique to offer, something no one else can bring to the table."
Spinner looked at him with a confused and skeptical look on his face, "And what's that supposed to be? What do I have that someone else couldn't do better? What do I have that you can't do better in this position?"
Kasai leaned towards him with his voice showing his conviction in Spinner, "You have experience. You've walked the path the heteromorphs are on right now. You know what it feels like to be treated differently, to be pushed aside just because of who you are. Why do you think so many heteromorph, including myself, showed so much believe in you after you released your interview and video? That's why they look to you. Not because they expect you to have all the answers, but because you understand them."
"..." Spinner stayed silent, feeling like Kasai had something more to him to say
"To be honest I'm a bit suprised you brought up me when you asked me what I can offer." Kasai admitted, confirming Spinner's suspicions as he explained everything further to him, "You see. I wouldn't be the best face for the hetermorphs. I'm an unknown face. People won't know me until my video will be released. They know you and have grown to respect. You have more experience in everything than I do as well. I lost every fight I was in and I would have been killed by the yakuza if Alice didn't kill the wall guy in time. You on the other hand have been with the League for so long and survived every fight they've been in without getting killed or captured."
Spinner's skeptical expression softened slightly as he allowed himself to process Kasai's words. There was still doubt in his eyes, but it was accompanied by a flicker of something else. Perharps the lizard man was slowly starting to understand everything. He leaned back against the cave wall, his grip on his sword loosening, "..What about Shigaraki? How does he came into all of this? Saving to him matters to me. It matters more to me than anything else right now..."
"You'll save him by keeping your followers in check and proving yourself to them to be exactly what they want you to be." Kasai gave him an honest answer, "We are going to need people if we want to make sure our plan works out and support of the hetermorphs counts into that. I saw the determination in you when you talked about saving Shigaraki as well. Be the hero me and many others want you to be and in return you will become a hero to Shigaraki. Even someone like you can be someone else's hero."
Spinner stayed silent, wanting to think everything through before giving Kasai an answer to everything he had just said to him. Kasai's words continued to fly through his head more and more as the seconds passed. A hero? Him? The thought felt foreign, almost absurd. He could think of a few people who could be considered heroes and he wasn't among them. They weren't someone like him, a misfit who had stumbled and always followed as a glorified cosplayer, never leading.
For years, he saw himself as a nobody. A person who wouldn't get much from life and someone who had to keep himself locked up in his house to escape the descrimination until Stain sparked something inside him and inspired him to do something with his life for once. Stain's creed had given him purpose. Shigaraki and Y/N's rebellion against the hero society had given him belonging. But now he was being asked to step out of the shadows and be the one others relied on.
It terrified him if he was honest with himself. What if he failed? The heteromorphs saw him as a symbol of hope for them. They didn't see his insecurities, his flaws, or his fear of falling short. If they knew how much he doubted himself, would they still believe in him? Probably not. To make everything worse, he knew he would be failing Shigaraki as well if he had failed all the heteromorphs who look up to him and view him as their hero.
The lizard man clenched his hand as Shigaraki crossed his mind once again. Shigaraki wasn't just another leader to Spinner. He was his best friends who knew. Perharps something more as well. He accepted him for what he saw, despite his non-existent experience and gave him a place to belong. His heart ached at the thought of losing him to All For One, feeling like he was about to start losing air in his lungs at the thought of this happening.
The idea of being a hero to Shigaraki refused to leave his mind as well. Even if his mind was telling him it was impossible, his heart was telling him there was a chance and he had to try. He owed it to Shigaraki, to the heteromorphs, to himself, to try. To stand up. To be be something more than just a follower for once in his life. He knew he had to keep movig forward even if he had to do it one shaky step at a time.
He exhale softly and looked up at Kasai who looked at him with conviction and belief evident in on his face. He gave him his answer a second later, "Alright. I'll do it. I'll led the hetermorphs. You're putting a lot of faith in me. Even if I don't feel like I deserve it. However, I swear to you that I will do everything I can to make this work and make sure I'll be who you and the other hetermorph want me to be. For you and Shigaraki."
"Alright. I'm glad to hear that." Kasai smiled at him, happy to see that he managed to get through to him. He was just happy he didn't mess this conversation up as this conversatio could have gone terribly wrong if he said something wrong, "Don't waste this. You can use it to do something good, something meaningful."
Spinner let out a humorless chuckle, shaking his head, "Easy for you to say. You don't have a whole movement staring at you, waiting for you to tell them what to do."
Kasai chuckled at this answer, "You're right. It's not easy. But that's why it matters. If it were easy, anyone could do it. The fact that it's hard is what makes it worth doing. This moment is finally the chance the hetermorph were waiting for all those years while fighting for their lives and I know you can do it."
"We'll see." Spinner replied in understanding.
"I see I don't have to worry about you anymore?" The conversation between Y/N and Spinner got cut short as they looked towards the source of the voice and saw Y/N and Origami watching them from the small distance. The two must have made their way to them while they were having their conversation and went unnoticed to him and Kasai for now because of it.
Spinner raised his brow in suprise, "Y/N? Origami?"
"For how long have you been listening to us?" Kasai wanted to know.
"For long enough." Y/N replied as he stepped closer to them with his eyes set on Spinner, "I saw you looking uncertain when we were discussing everything earlier and I wanted to check on you once I'll be done training All For One and Overhaul before I'll leave somewhere." Origami, Spinner and Kasai raised their brows at this, "I see there's no need to do it anymore, though as Kasai-kun did my job for me."
Kasai smiled a bit, "If you say so."
Y/N smiled back at him and glanced back at Spinner, "Shuichi-kun. I won't tell you much because everything that had to be said was said to you by Kasai-kun. All I can say to you right now is that I've known you long enough to know you can do it. You said it yourself to me and Tomura-kun that you are willing to do whatever it takes during our conversation after the stuff with the yakuza, after all."
"I see. Thanks." Spinner nodded at him gratefully, recalling the conversation he had with his leaders back then. He knew it was time for him to fulfill what he had said back then.
Y/N kept his smile directed towards him when he added, "By the way, I'm still waiting for us to play Left 4 Dead once this is all over."
"Glad to know you remember about this." Spinner smiled a bit, knowing to what conversation Y/N was calling back now, "As long as we won't end up like Noble Six, we should be fine to play this together in the future."
Y/N chuckled a bit, recognizing what Spinner meant right now, "Yeah."
"Where are going, by the way?" Kasai asked with a questioning look on his face, "You brought up something about wanting to talk with Spinner, before you'll leave somewhere."
"I see. I should probably explain this to you." Y/N admitted and quickly gave them an explanation, "I'm leaving the cave for a few hours."
Spinner raised his brow in concern and suprise, "Why? You just came back."
"I know. But there's one place I need to visit before we'll make our next move." Y/N explained. From the tone of his voice, everyone around him could tell this was something he really needed to do, whatever it was. Y/N saw the way Kasai, Origami and Spinner looked at him and quickly assured them, "Don't worry. I'll be back soon. It will be something quick. This is something I need to do to say the final goodbye to my past."
"I see." Spinner nodded in understanding.
"Just keep yourself safe out there. Even if it will be for just a few hous." Kasa added with his tone showing understanding.
"Let me come with you." Origami wasted no time and immediately asked Y/N to let her tag along.
"Origami..." Y/N tried to say as he shifted his gaze from Spinner and Kasai to her. From the tone of his voice, Origami could tell he would tell her to stay behind and she was having none of it.
She cut him off instantly and crossed her arms below her chest with her eyes narowed at her Y/N , "No. I let you go alone when you left on Cyborg and I've regretted it ever since. You don't get to leave me behind this time, Y/N . Whatever this is, wherever you're going, I want to be there for you as your girlfriend. I'm going with you for this, especially since you said it yourself it will last only a few hours and nothing you will say will make me back away."
Y/N sighed softly, having his eyes set on Origami as he saw what kind of expression she had on her face right now. Her face was determined on coming with him and he could see it was pleading at the same time even if Origami tried to mask the pleading part with her other emotion. Upon taking a look at her, he made his choice. If she wanted to come with him, then he was going to allow her to even if it would last only a few hours. He was not going to leave her alone again. Not like he did by leaving on Cyborg after everything with heroes went down.
"Alright. Let's go." Her boyfriend gave her a nod, knowing Origami will go with him, no matter what he will say as Origami smiled at him and she stepped closer to him and grabbed his hand. Upon grabbing his hand, the two bid their farewell to Spinner and Kasai made their way to Cyborg somewhere else in the cave and flew out of the cave to see visit whatever place Y/N was interested in visiting...

Getting closer and closer...
The epilogue for MHA came out and I can tell you one thing about it. I love it. My opinion regarding the ending of MHA ending went way up after reading this and the ending is now definitely better than what JJK and Oshi no Ko gave us. This chapter had everything I wanted from 430. From Shoto talking about Dabi to the interactions between grown up Class A to Izuku doing hero work to IzukuxOchaco.
A new episode of Helluva Boss came out and I loved it. Definitely one of the top 5 episodes in the entire show for me. Satan's design was dope and I was happy to see Leviathan and Belphegor in this episode as well even if I was suprised to see them. Really hope we'll get more of them in the future. Aside from that, this episode was really emotional with all the stuff we saw in it and hearing Loona tell Blitzo that she loves him while calling him dad was heartwarming. I just feel sorry for Stolas, despite what I've been saying about his behavior earlier and I really want to punch Andrealphus and Stella in the face right now...
The trailer for the Witcher 4 came out and I'm super excited for this as I'm a big fan of the Witcher (as polish man it's my duty to be into the Witcher, lol). Seeing Ciri again after all this time was just pure hype. I just hope the game will be good when it come out and we won't get the repeat of Cyberpunk 2077. I'm pretty excited about the trailer for the new Mafia game as well and I reall hope it will be like the first two games.
Girls Frontline 2 came out globally (finally) and I'm really happy about it. My girl UMP45 looked so good with her new look in the trailer. I just need for the steam version to come out...
Just to let you know to make sure you won't be confused later this month. I'll most likely won't be doing a second chapter this month as the chances of me doing it are really slim unless something changes in my schedule for this month. You can call it a Christmas and New Year break for me.
Since this will be the last chapter for this story I will post in 2024, allow me to wish you Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I wish you all the best in 2025 (The year of Black Ops 2, lol) and many updates from me :)
