Corruption
Y/N stared at Lady Nagant with a suprised look on his face, having not expected her to say this out of all things to him. She really wanted to tell him the story of why she went rogue? But why? What made her change her mind? She more than showed him and Alice she wasn't interested in sharing her story with them when Alice first brought up her past. What could have caused this sudden change in her? He just couldn't wrap his head around her sudden change of mind.
Lady Nagant took notice of his silence and decided to break it, "So, what do you think?"
"You weren't so willing on sharing it before when Alice first brought it up." Y/N pointed out to her as his mind flew back to Lady Nagant walking out of the room as soon as Alice brought up her past as a Pro-Hero after their shooting lesson. He raised his brow at her in interest and confusion, "What made you change your mind?"
Lady Nagant thought back to the conversation she's had with Alice a few moments ago, "...Let's just say a few things changed since then."
Y/N kept his brow raised, "What do you mean? What changed?"
"Your friend and I had a conversation after you left after your little episode if I can call it. She told me some stuff and I was left with a lot to think about. I think you know what I decided on if I am here." Lady Nagant explained to him, not going into details as she didn't felt like it was important. She didn't want him to know about Alice's scars as well as she doubted Y/N knew about this. It was something Alice and only Alice could share with him.
"I see." Y/N replied in understanding. He couldn't help but ask himself about the stuff Alice and Lady Nagant talked about after he left them to calm down after his panic attack. The h/c haired boy sat down on the ground a second later, leaning against Cyborg as Lady Nagant looked at him questioningly. Y/N motioned to the floor next to him a second later, letting out a sigh, "If you feel comfortable with sharing it with me now, then go ahead. Just don't force to do it if you'll change your mind. This isn't how I do things with people I work with."
Lady Nagant raised at his choice of words as she stared at him silently for a good moment. Even after she told him she'll tell him her story, he still made it clear to her she doesn't want to force this out of her. He wanted he to be comfortable with everything. Even if it would include her going back on her word and not telling him anything. Peharps she made a good choice to tell him about this, after all.
She sat down on the ground next to him with her back pressed against Cyborg's body, "...Alright. I should start now."
"Okay." Y/N nodded to himself. If she was comfortable with sharing this with him, then he had no problem with it.
Lady Nagant sighed, "When I was younger, I was a Pro Hero. My name was pretty big. My reputation led to me being envied by those with long-ranged Quirks for my expertise in my Rifle Quirk. Snipe was one of them."
"Snipe, huh?" Y/N instantly took notice of the familiar name to him.
Lady Nagant raised her brow, "You know him?"
"I killed him when the heroes first attacked us. He tried to take me down after I went against them following the deaths of Jin-kun and Tengai-kun. I made sure he would stop bothering me." Y/N gave her an honest answer. What instantly caught Lady Nagant's attention was the absolute lack of remorse Y/N showed over his death.
The older woman shook off her suprise a second later and continued with her story, "As I was saying, I was a pretty big name bac then. I was even affiliated with the Hero Public Safety Commission."
"Wait? You worked directly for them?" Y/N raised his brow in interest. He became interested in this particular fact as he knew one more hero who was working for them. This hero was Hawks. He clenched his hand as he felt a wave of anger go through his body at the thought of him. Something Lady Nagant quickly took notice of.
"You're thinking about Hawks?" She voiced her assumptions to him straight away.
Y/N looked slightly suprised by this, "How do you know?"
"I know he works for them and I know what he did to your friends." Lady Nagant gave him an honest answer, "To be honest I wouldn't be suprised of the order of killing your friend who could make clones of himself came directly for them."
Y/N raised his brow, "What do you mean?"
"The Hero Public Safety Commission isn't afraid to get their hands dirty." Lady Nagant began to explain to him as her face grew more grim with each word she uttered to him due to her knowing where she was heading with explanation and knowing it is something she won't like recalling, "They saw me as a young optimistic woman who wanted to be a great hero and used this fact to turn me into their personal assassin."
"What?" Y/N's eyes widened in shock at this.
"You heard me right." Lady Nagant confirmed her own words to him without any hesitation in her voice to reassure him that she was indeed serious. Her lack of hesitation made her more believable to Y/N as well, "They trained to kill villains and corrupt heroes, sometimes unjustly, who were threatening to disrupt the order in their society. All the while they keep telling me this was to ensure society was kept balanced. To be honest I lost the count of how many criminals I assassinated because the Hero Public Safety Commission wanted to have them "disappear" rather than be handled by the proper legal process."
Y/N felt a wave of cold shock crash over him, feeling his already shocked state growing as Lady Nagant's words sank in and he processed everything. His mind struggle to process everything for a moment, despite him already knowing just how corrupted the hero society was as all of it was just so much to take. What he heard right now just so terrible. It was way worse than all stuff with Endevaor, Bakugo and Tomohito.
He knew how the idea of it was making him feel like. The idea of the Hero Public Safety Commission who had an audacity to claim to have the moral ground over them doing something like this was making him angry. Very angry. The idea of him training a young hero to kill without justice or due process, made his stomach churn. All of it to keep up the rotten system which they had created in the first place. Why? Because it was benefiting them? To keep hiding the fact that they are people suffering because of them?
Hawks crossed his mind again a second later. If he was working with them, then he may as well be in the same position as Lady Nagant and it could have led to the deaths of Twice and Tengai. He wasn't the only person responsible for all of this mess and everything bad which had happened to him and his friends, to the entire country, was something they were to blame for as well. Their own self-righteousness ruined everything...
It didn't make him any less angry with Hawks, though. Nagant chose to no longer obey them, knowing how well it would end for her. Hawks, however, had a way out as he could have helped them. Despite that, however, he still choose them and went along with what he did. Everything could have been so different know if he didn't want along with those corruped assholes It made him wonder what other stuff Hawks did while working under them...
Lady Nagant took notice of his silent reaction, seeing he was listening to everything she was saying to him in a silent shock and explained everything further to him. She clenched her hand upon recalling this unplesant memory of hers, "All of it took it's toll on me. I fell into depression and I started having delusions. I'll never forget the one time when I was approached by a young fan who wanted an autograph and I saw my hands as if they were covered in blood. It was when I started to question everything as well and everything became worse after I realized what I was working for. I realized I was working to maintain a fragile and hollow peace at the expense of others while hypocritically justifying that their actions are for the good of everyone. The hero society they've been selling everyone was nothing but an illusion."
"Of course they would do something like this. What else would you expect from them? To stick to the morals they are crying about to everyone?" Y/N spat out as he was unable to control himself and the anger and the disgust he felt right now. Lady Nagant for a second was suprised by the venom in his voice due to him not using a tone like this until this moment. From the sound of the tone of his voice, she could Y/N tell harbored a great hatred for the hero society and the way it was keeping everything together under a false illusion made of paper.
Lady Nagant narrowed her eyes at him after his small outburst, feeling her suprise caused by it fading away. She sighed, her voice carrying a mix of bitterness and resignation. "You're not wrong. They preach justice and righteousness, but you already know how things look like behind the scenes. They wear those smiles and give speeches about hope, but the truth is, they're just as corrupt as the villains they claim to fight. I thought I could hang in there and overcome it, but at some point I just couldn't take this anymore."
"Yeah. I know what you're saying here. Everyone's got their limit." Y/N nodded with a sympathetic look on his face. He knew how it felt like to reach your limit. Even it was so long since that fateful day when he tried to kill himself, he still remembered how it felt. If he was honest with himself, this feeling was coming back to him every now and then. Especially nowadays...
Lady Nagant nodded back at him how show him she appreciated his sympathy and went further into her story, "One day I just couldn't take it anymore and I snapped. I still remember it like it was yesterday. I met up with the Public Safety Chairman, who requested that she dispose of two heroes who have been provoking civilians into committing crimes, only to collect the rewards off of them. I asked him if killing those heroes would really help improve society, especially when lying to the public about it. The Chairman gave me his usual talk of how all of it is to keep up the hope and faith that the heroes have built to the public crowd. He afterwards threatened to silence me which resulted in his death. I got locked up in Tartarus shortly after."
Y/N looked at her with a pitful look on her face, feeling terrible for her and everything she's been through. However, there was one question which wasn't leaving him alone and he intended to ask her about it, "Why I haven't heard of this, though? Why hasn't anyone heard of this? A hero killing a chairman of the Hero Public Safety Commission would have definitely hit our country like a truck and become the most talked topic for who knows how long."
"It's because they covered it up as me killing a fellow hero in an argument." Lady Nagant explained to him, "From what I know, they used my situation as an example to discourage disputes between Heroes."
"I see." Y/N said in understanding. He shifted his attention away from Lady Nagant and glanced down at the ground as he needed some time to process all of this. All of it was a lot to process...
"You alright?" Lady Nagant asked him upon seeing his reaction.
Y/N nodded in confirmation even if he kept his gaze on the ground, "Yeah. I just need to process all of it. It was a lot to take in. I already knew the hero society was corrupted, but something like this was something even I didn't expect..."
"Alright." Lady Nagant replied in understanding, staying silent afterwards to give him all the time he needed to process all of this.
Y/N didn't reply to her afterwards, leaving himself in his thoughts. The world around him seemed to fade into a dull muted haze. Time seemed to slow down around him as well. Even if he was thinking for just a moment, for him it felt like he was left in his thoughts for a few hous or if not eternity. His focus was entirely consumed by the revelations that Lady Nagant had just given to him as he thought about everything in order to process it the best he could.
He felt nothing but anger and disgust within him the further he went into his own thoughts regarding this topic. The depth of the hero society's corruption and all the crap they've been covering up by masking with smiles and false righteousness was enough to make him feel like that. To think those were the same people who had an audacity to call him and his friends monster and claim to have the moral ground just increased his anger.
The h/c haired boy knew it was something which couldn't be left behind and forgotten. They had to pay for what they did. Not only to Lady Nagant. They had to pay for what they did to Twice and Tengai. If his assumptions about Hawks were true, then they were just as responsible for the deaths of his friends and he had to make them pay for it. Just like he was planning to make Hawks pay for it as soon as he will get his hands on him.
The Hero Public Safety Commission was already damaged from their first fight against the heroes as Skeptic and Kizuki filled him on this. Shortly before the heroes attacked them, they invited Re-Destro to make a deal with him. Looking at it right now, Y/N knew it was a planned ambush to arrest him. Re-Destro, however, was unable to attend the meeting due to him already having a meeting with the Paranormal Liberation Front. It was why they sent a clone of Re-Destro for this meeting instead. The clone didn't give up without a fight and managed to retaliate and cause some serious damage to the building and kill the President, before melting away.
Their videos, even if the effect of them, wasn't as big as Y/N hoped it would be played a part in damaging it as well. This story from Lady Nagant could be the final nail in the coffin for them. Just like he made sure with Bakugo and Tomohito and Dabi made sure with Endeavor, people needed to know what was Lady Nagant put through. The past never died and the Hero Public Safety Commission had to find out about it the hard way. Just like everyone else who wronged him and his friends did.
He looked up at Lady Nagant a second later and his expression was filled with pity and sympathy, "Lady. I just don't know what to say right now. I'm sorry this happened to you. I can't even imagine what you must have been going through while going through all of this..."
"Don't think much of it." Lady Nagant replied to his condolences. Even if appeared to be slightly grateful of them, she looked resigned at the same time, "It's not like anything can be done about it now, though."
"What if it wasn't the case, though?" Y/N asked her.
Lady Nagant looked at him questioningly, "What do you mean?"
"You told me you saw my videos right?" Y/N asked as Lady Nagant nodded in confirmation, "What if we'll make something like this with you?"
Lady Nagant's eyes widened a bit, "What?
Y/N nodded in confirmation without a hint of hesitation in his behavior and in his voice, "You heard me right. We can make a video like this about. We can make your history known to the world and it will expose the truth about the Hero Commission. They are already weakened from what happened recently. If we will release your story, then it will be completely destroy them. It can be your way of setting everything right with them after what they put you through."
Lady Nagant glanced away from Y/N to leave herself with her thoughts, her mind beginning to race after hearing his suggestion as the idea of making a video to expose the Hero Public Safety Commission's corruption was something she had not considered. Even after seeing the League's videos and interviews. She knew the creationg of this video could have been risky. Even in the state their country was in right now. If they had somehow regained the full control of their country, then she knew they would go after her.
A new thought crossed her mind a second later. It began to overcome all the second thoughts she had about this. The Hero Commission had taken everything from her. They used her to keep their system in check. They had turned her into a weapon when she was nothing but a hopeful young hero and threatened to discard of her when she showed her second thoughts. They had to be held accountable, not just for her sake, but for everyone else they had manipulated, silenced and destroyed.
She glanced back at Y/N a second later and gave him her answer, "...Alright. Fine. Let's do this. Let's make that video. Let's expose them to the world for what they really are."
"Great." Y/N smiled. It was a full smile. The one Lady Nagant hadn't seen from him until now. This time his smile wasn't interrupted by a panic attack as well. She saw something else in him. It was determination. A determination she hadn't seen in herself for a long time. He was giving her a chance to finally make everything right. She knew if she didn't take it now, she might never get another chance.
Lady Nagant smiled slightly back at him. Her expression softened a bit as she felt herself growing slightly hopeful, "How are we going to do this? We don't have anything we could record my story on."
"Right. Good point." Y/N agreed with her. He got himself thinking too much about it and it made him forget about this little detail, "We'll have to pay a visit to the electronic story where they sell cameras. We can ask Alice if there are any in the area. If she won't know, then we'll have to look for them ourselves."
"Alright." Lady Nagant replied in understanding with her smile at him slightly growing. She and Y/N exchanged glances and nods with each other for one more time, both of them certain on what they will do next. She and Y/N will have to tell Alice about their new plan as well as she will definitely be asking questions about their new plan. It was something both of them planned to do as soon as possible.
If only they knew Alice alread knew about everything. Unbeknownst to both of them, the blonde haired young woman followed Lady Nagant shortly after the older woman left her by herself and overheard everything Y/N and Lady Nagant talked about just now. Even if she felt terrible about everything Lady Nagant was put through when she was working for the Hero Commision, the younger woman couldn't help but think about something else.
The blonde haired young woman raised her hand up to touch the cigarette bubs scars on her forehead, leaving herself with her thoughts as she slowly began to consider something...
-----
The teachers lounge in U.A was silent as all of the teachers who could show up for the meeting between them where they would discuss what to do now were gathered around. The atmosphere between the remained grim and all of the doubted the grim feelings will leave them anytime soon. If there was one thing which could get rid of this atmosphere, then it would be the defeat of whatever remained of the Paranormal Liberation Front. When it would happen, though? None of them had idea.
All of them gathered for this meeting for one particular reason. It was time for them to decide what they will do with Bakugo. Following their answer to the media regarding on what they will do with him and Nezu admitting he had scheduled a meeting regarding this matter, they knew they knew it was now their time to act and knew they had to do it fast as it will make the media eat them and will push forward the narration of them taking their time to keep their prized student in the school.
Nezu placed his hands in front of his face to make them into a tent, letting out a sigh, "I think we all know why we gathered here today. We postponed this discussion as much as we could, but we can't postpone it for any longer. We already are on the thin ice with the media and making them angry with us is something we can't afford."
Recovery Girl nodded in agreement, "True. Our statement was already quite controversial and it would just add more fuel to the fire."
"Too bad some of them can't do the same in regards of the Mask..." Vlad King muttered under his breath, knowing some of those people were the followers of the Mask. They really couldn't see that this kid was nothing, but a mass murdering terrorrist who was excusing all of his actions with his past and his goal of ruining the society who harmed him.
"So, have you come to a decision?" Aizawa asked. He wasn't directly present on the meeting. He was instead present on it through his hospital room as he was having a video call with everyone right now. This matter had something to do with one of his students, after all and he wanted to be present when Nezu will make his decision.
Nezu shook his head, "Not quite. I contacted whatever remained of HPSC with Yokumiru Mera now in charge of them even if they stopped working following the havoc and the destruction Re-Destro's clone wrecked havoc on them and they are insisting that we don't expel Bakugo. They always had high hopes for him. From what I know, they asked the Shiketsu to do the same in regards of Kazari. It must have something to do with the shortage of heroes we are facing as well due to all the deaths and the retirements caused by our conflict with the Liberation Front."
"Even if we will keep Bakugo in our school, then how are we doing to keep him in the hero course?" Vlad King asked, "We all know he is Quirkless now after what L/N did to him. Keeping him in the hero course would be too dangerous for him."
Power Loader crossed his arms with a thoughtful look on his face, "Maybe Eri can use her Quirk on him to make him regain his Quirk? Like she did with Togata?"
Recovery Girl shook her head, "This won't be the case here. She is too weak to do this again after she helped young Togata. It will be a while befoe she'll be able to do it again without suffering any damage."
Power Loader sighed, "Dammit."
"To be honest I don't think she would do this even if she could." Present Mic voiced his thoughts on the matter, "She dislikes Bakugo pretty heavily after the videos of the League came out and the truth about him and L/N came out. Like a lot."
"I can confirm this." Aizawa added, "She asked why I was keeping someone like Bakugo in my class even if he was hurting Midoriya and L/N the last time I talked with her and asked me why someone as evil as Bakugo is a hero while someone like L/N is a villain."
Hound Dog nodded in confirmation, "I tried talking with her about our current situation to help her get a better understanding of it. She told me the same. Even when I tried to explain to explain to her why it is like this and why L/N shouldn't be considered a hero. She didn't want to listen to me, though."
"Poor girl still can't accept the boy who saved her is not who she thought he was." Vlad King shook his head. They really had to do something about it. This mindset was not healthy for Eri.
All Might who stayed silent in this discussion until now decided to speak up, "To be hair he did warn the civilians about Gigantomachia before the giant reached the cities and it reduced the civilian losses."
"I wouldn't think much of it if I were you." Hound Dog brushed this off.
Vlad King nodded in agreement, "It was just a trick from him to gather sympathy after everything he and his friends did. Just like the videos they released the following night. If he cared about the civilians like he claims he does, then he wouldn't have released so many dangerous criminals into the streets. Let's don't talk about them using Nomus and we all know what those are made off of."
"This isn't even all about Eri. She keeps her distance from everyone as well." Present Mic brought the matter of Eri back to their discussion as well as he felt like this had to be adressed as well. All the while Nezu kept himself silent with a thoughful look on his face.
Cementoss looked at him questioningly, "What do you mean?"
Present Mic sighed, "I talked with Togata to give me his thoughts on what is happening with Eri right now. She told me the last time he tried to talking with Eri, she seemed distant. More distant than she was for the last few months when she wa slowly started to open up. The videos of the League really affected her. Especially the videos of L/N, Toga and Bubaigawara as Togata told me she asked him why Bubaigawara had to die."
Recovery Girl raised her brow, "What did he tell her?"
"I think you can imagine what. She didn't take it well to say the least..." Aizawa explained as All Might clenched his hand at the mention of it, "She asked him if we would do the same with L/N and Toga if they were in Bubaigawara's place and asked him why we didn't consider saving Bubaigawara and Toga like we did with L/N."
"What if it was exactly our mistake?" All Might asked, "If we didn't focus on only L/N and Jakuzure, then maybe things would look differently right now."
Hound Dog shook his head with a concerned look on his face, "You shouldn't bother yourself this much about it, All Might. We gave L/N and Jakuzure their chances and you know it well what they did. They spat on them. Hawks tried to do the same with Bubaigawara and the result was the same. Nothing would have changed if we tried giving Toga or anyone else from their organization their chance. People like them are too far gone and aren't worth giving our chances."
"I always believed nothing good ever comes out of reasoning with a villain." Vlad King nodded in agreement as All Might sighed. What he was hearing right now really reminded him of the talk Izuku had with Gran Torino about saving Shigaraki and Y/N. Gran Torino himself admitted sometimes killing someone is the best way of saving them, "You saw it yourself what happened when our students tried talking with them when we attacked our mansion. Many of them had to be hospitalized."
"L/N's followers aren't better than him as well. We all know what happened to his parents." Ectoplasm added. Even if the Mask's parents were far from good people, they shouldn't have been lynched like they did. If anything, they should have been put through trial for child abuse and neglect and go through his process like any other person.
Cementoss looked at him questioningly, "Now that you brought this up, how are the Okuda's doing right now after you broke the news to them about the deaths of L/N's parents? I don't think you told us about this."
"As well you can expect." Ectoplasm sighed as he found himself thinking back to what happened when he filled Grace and her family on what happened to Sandra and Ryoma, "Even if Okuda's sister was who she was, she was still her sister and the news of her sister hit her hard. She broke down into tears as soon as she process the information."
Thirteen shook her head with a pitful look hidden underneath her helmet, "This poor woman."
"Yeah. She and her family just can't catch a break and keep getting involved in all the shitty stuff their family do." Present Mic nodded in agreement, letting out a sigh as he felt bad for the Okuda family. Everyone in the school facualty felt bad for them. To think such nice people like them had to be involved with such monsters as their family...
Vald Kind shook his head, "If only L/N put into consideration how his actions are affecting other people for once..."
"To be honest I don't think he cares at this point..." Power Loader stated.
Ectoplasm shited his gaze to Power Loader, "By the way. Their son was hanging out with your girl."
Power Loader raised his brow, "What? Hatsume was...?"
Ectoplasm nodded in agreement, "Yes. She was around when I broke the news to them. Before that, I saw her with their son. I think they hit it off as they were talking like old friends. Even if they probably just met."
"I see..." Power Loader said in understanding. He had no problems with it. Hatsume was her own person and could hang out with whoever she wanted to. He wasn't worried about Akihiko as well as he could tell the boy was not like his cousin when he and his family first signed in their safe zone. Maybe having a friend would have helped the boy deal with his tough situation as well. He will have a conversation about it with Hatsume, though. Just in case and to make sure she won't tell anyone about them being related to the Mask.
"That's not all. You wouldn't believe who the Okuda's were hanging out with when I approached them." Ectoplasm added his words as everyone aside from Nezu wko kept himself in his thoughts looked at him with a silent questioning on their faces. He broke the news to them a second later, "They were hanging out with Midoriya and Bakugo's families."
Cementoss' eyes widened in suprise at this, "Really?"
Ectoplasm nodded in confirmation, "Yeah. I was suprised myself when I saw them with them."
"Is keeping them together good, though?" Vlad King raised his concerns about it, "You know, considering the history between them. You know there's a risk of something had happening because of it and this is something we can't add to our list of problems."
Ectoplasm shook his head to show them they had nothing to wory about, "I wouldn't worry too much about it to be honest. I saw them interact when I was on their way to them and they seemed to be on the good terms with each other. They were all smilling and laughing before I ruined it by breaking the news about L/N's parents to them. So I would cross the possibility of them being angry at each other off the list."
"Alright." Vlad King looked relieved by this. Their conversation got cut short as Nezu placed his hands on the table. His thoughtful expression was gone. It was replaced with certainty. It made them realize something. He had made his decision regarding Bakugo.
He confirmed it a second later, "Everyone. I have made my decision."
"What is it, then?" Aizawa wanted to know. Everyone else looked at Nezu expectantly as they awaited his answer.
Vlad King raised his brow, "Are we expeling him?"
Nezu shook his head, "No. We won't expel him. But we won't keep him in the hero course as well. Effective immediately, Bakugo Katsuki will be transferred out of the hero course to the Department of General Education. Shota. You've been training a boy from the General Education before our conflict with the Paranormal Liberation Front, right? From now on, he will replace Bakugo in Class A."
------
Akihiko was alone right now, keeping himself all by himself in the more isolated parts of the U.A safe zone as he didn't feel like being with anyone right now. After his aunt and uncle were revealed to be have been killed by his cousin's supporters by Ectoplasm, his mom was a mess and couldn't stop crying over what happened to her sister. Even if her aunt called her every possible insult the last time they spoke and blamed her for ruining her life.
His mother's condition following this revelation was so bad after that that she had to be taken to their family's dorm to calm down. When everyone started taking her away to their dorm, his dad asked him if he wants to come with them and Akihiko told him he would have preferred to be left alone now. Even if his dad had second thoughts about it and even asked him if he was sure, Akihiko insisted on it and pleaded him to just go and make sure his mom will be calm down.
Upon being left alone with Hatsume after his dad, Inko, Mitsuki and Masaru took his mom away, he left her straight away and went someplace where he'll be left alone with his thoughts. Hatsume tried going after him at first but ultimately never catched up to him. If he were to guess, she must have become disinterested in talking with him again after she found out the truth about his cousin being the Mask. Just like many of his schoolmates did in his school with a few exceptions in the form of his closest friends.
When he found himself in a private enough place where he knew he won't be bothered by anyone, he did what was holding back in himself and broke down into tears. He sat down on the ground, leaning himself the wall and sobbed into his hands as he released everything he was holding in himself for the last several minutes. Just as things started looking up for him and his family for once, something like this must have happened and they were back to how their lives were like for the few last months now.
Why? What have they done to deserve this? He and his parents had never done anything to anyone. Why did they have to placed in a family whose actions were always leaving them feeling hurt or getting hit by the backfire. They were just a normal happy and loving family of three living their lives and now their lives were kicking them in the nuts over and over again. Was life punishing them for not noticing all the red flags regading how how cousin was treated by his aunt and uncle or something?
He found himself thinking back about his cousin again as well. He remembered the conflicted feelings he had about him before. He felt how they slightly shifted into anger now. While his aunt may have not been the best person and he coudn't care less for what happened to her, he loved his mother and saw how deeply it hurt her to the point of her breaking into tears like she did. He felt angry at his cousin for making his mom cry. If only his cousin considered how badly his actions are affecting him and his parents...
"Hey. There you are." He was pushed out his thoughts a moment later by the familiar voice. He recongized this voice straight away. Even it was still a bit new to him. It was Hatsume. Her voice didn't have the same excitement it had when they talked earlier. This time it showed concern, "I've been looking everywhere for you. I almost considered using my tracking baby to find you."
Akihiko raised his brow at the view of her and wiped the tear marks from his cheeks as he wanted to hide he was crying from her. Even if it was evident enough for her, "What are you doing here?"
Hatsume wasted no time and explained everything to him as she sat down next to him, "You just ran off like that after we were left alone by your family and their friends. I tried to catch up with you to check on you, but you were too fast and I lost you after you ran into a crowd. I went looking for you after that so here I am now. You have no idea how relieved I am to have found you. I thought something bad might happen to you if you were left alone."
"You went looking for me?" Akihiko kept his brow raised with suprise slowly forming on is face.
"Yes. You left me quite worried there when you ran off like that." Hatsume nodded in confirmation. She looked at him questioningly a second later, "Why are you suprised by it?"
Akihiko sighed. Even if he tried to stop himself from tearing up, tears were still coming out of his eyes, "Do I really need to explain why? I thought you'll just leave after you found out who my cousin is. You know how families of the villains are treated. It was exactly what happened in my school. It was so bad that the teachers had to give my schoolmates a talk about this to make them stop. It stopped. But I still could see what they think about me and my family. I'm almost scared about coming back to school once all of this will over after this..."
"Why would I leave you just because you are related to the Mask?" Hatsume looked at him questioningly, "Are you like your cousin? Do you condone the things he is doing?"
Akihiko shook his head as he gave her a shaky answer, "N-No..."
Hatsume nodded at him, "Exactly. I'm not going to blame you for something your cousin did. You have nothing to do with his actions and, in fact, I can see see you're one of the most affected by him due to what you and your parents are going through. You had nothing to do with your cousin's actions and the way his parents treated him and yet you are the ones who are getting hit with everything. You don't deserve it."
Akihiko stared at Hatsume silently, not knowing how to reply to this as his breath slowly became less steady with each passing second. Unable to bring himself to say anything, he broke down into tears again and cried in front of her as Hatsume looked at him with a pitful look on her face. Allowing her actions to do the work, she slowly reached out to him and wrapped her arm around him. She pulled him a bit closer to her, keeping his arm wrapped around him as she wanted to show him he was not alone here.
Hatsume and Akihiko remained like this for the next few minutes as Akihiko kept crying all the while Hatsume continued to hold him, dirtying his clothes in the oil from her clothes and skin in the process. Even though she had just met Akihiko, she could tell he was in pain and needed someone. Whatever was happening with him right now must have been something he was holding in himself for a long time. He probably was keeping it in himself as he didn't want to worry his parents because of how much both of them were dealing with right now.
"You okay now?" She asked him after a few minutes as Akihiko's crying slowly calmed down.
Akihiko nodded at her with tear marks still evident on his cheeks, "Y-Yeah. Thank you.."
"No problem." Hatsume nodded at him in a pleased manner as she was glad to see he had calmed down.
"Hatsume-san..." Akihiko called out for her in an uncertain tone.
"Can we keep this between us?" Akihiko asked her, "You know. The way how I just cried as I don't want to worry my parents..."
Hatsume looked uncertain about it, "Are you sure?"
Akihiko nodded in confirmation, "Yeah. I don't want to worry them. They already are dealing with enough crap..."
"Alright." Hatsume nodded at him. Even if she remained uncertain about it.
"Can we keep me being the cousin of the Mask between us as well?" Akihiko asked her for one more favor, "I don't want people to find out about it because, you know..."
"Don't worry. Your secret is safe with me." Hatsume zipped her mouth to prove her point to him. She was more uncertain about keeping this secret as she knew why he preferred to keep this away from the other people at the safe zone.
Akihiko nodded at her gratefully, "Thank you."
"Good. Now, how about we'll go do something together?" Hatsume suggested to him. Akihiko seemed to have taken his mind off of everything he and his family were doing through when they talked about the engineering stuff. Maybe they can do something like this, "Your parents told me you want to be an engineer. How about we'll talk a bit about this and I could help you with selecting a good school as your senpai?"
"That would be nice." Akihiko smiled slightly at his new friend as Hatsume smiled back at him and reached her hand towards him. She touched his cheek a bit to wipe his tears. Akihiko blushed slightly at this action. Hatsume didn't seem to mind this, though. She was already used to stuff like this.
"Alrght. Done!" Hatsume's smile slightly as she was done with wiping the tear off his cheek. She got up a second later, grabbing his hand to help him up and began dragging him towars the main building of U.A, "Come on! I told you I want to show you some of my babies before we talked with your parents, right? How about we do this now and we'll talk about your interest in engineering on our way there? It will take your mind off your problems! You'll see! You can give me some sweet ideas after seeing them as well! If we'll get lucky, I'll introduce you to my classmates as well!"
"O-Okay..." Akihiko blushed a bit at Hatsume holding his hand and dragging him around like this. He had to admit. This girl had a strong grip. He couldn't help but smile slightly as well. At least something good came out of today...
-----
Slice walked out of the cave where she had taken shelter in with the others, looking for the one person she wanted to talk with right now. This person was Geten. She wanted to talk with him ever since he revealed the truth about him being a cousin of Dabi. She even approached him about it this morning, but he brushed her off, explaning how he wants to talk with Dabi about it before he'll talk anyone else with it.
She now knew it was her chance to talk with him as she overheard Kizuki and Skeptic talking on how Geten finally convinced Dabi to have this conversation with him. If he convinced Dabi to talk about him with this, then he would be okay with talking about this with her, right? She oveheard Kizuki and Skeptic talking about something else when she began to walk away from them. They began talking about some kind of prison where Re-Destro and Hanabata were placed...
She went through the cave afterwards, asking everyone she laid her eyes on if they saw Geten or Dabi and got the information she was waiting for from Daiki and Nishimura. From what they told her, they saw Geten and Dabi leaving the cave together and heading towards a nearby stream to train something. Slice nodded at them, expressing her gratitude for giving her this info. At the same time she couldn't help but wonder what Geten and Dabi were going to train, though. She knew she had to find them quick as well as it would start getting dark soon and she didn't want to look for them in the dark.
The red haired woman reached her destination a few minutes later and got the answer she was waiting as soon as Geten and Dabi appeared in her view. She saw both of them standing in front of the stream with Dabi burning himself with his flames, leaving the burned stench in the area as Geten was using his Quirk to apply some ice on him. Slice raised her brow at the scene in front of her, asking herself what was that all about and decided to not to reveal herself to them for now and decided to observe them instead to get the answer to her question.
"Can you slow down a bit with your flames?" Geten asked Dabi as the ice he was applying into his cousin burned away, "This is our first time doing this today and all the ice is burning away if you're doing this temperature. We have to at first test everything out before we'll decide to experiment with worse temperatures."
"Excuse for not having anyone with an ice Quirk in my team before and me not knowing what is temperature is experimental enough for you." Dabi replied with sarcasm evident in his voice.
Geten rollled his eyes a bit, "I'm just telling you not to burn yourself like chicken on a grill for once."
"Trust me. You haven't seen me when I burn myself like what you just mentioned." Dabi told with his sarcasm being replaced with a deadpanned expression. He and Geten exchanged glances with each other a second later with their expressions fading away from their faces. They shook their heads at each other in what Slice saw as amusement. She sensed no animosity between them. It made her believe what she was witnessing right now was a banter.
Slice remained where she stood for the next several minutes, keeping to herself as she didn't want to interrupt Geten's training with Dabi, because she could tell it was something important. As she continued to observe them, she saw them trying out different techniques of applying ice onto Dabi with bigger or smaller success. Both of them, mainly, Geten also discussed the other techniques they can use to lessen the damage Dabi's Quirk was doing to him while Dabi listened to his suggestions and ocassionaly offered his cousin his own view and points.
Their training came to an end when Dabi towards the bushes and took notice of Slice watching them from there. His fire vanished from the palm on his hand upon laying his eyes on her, "Hey. Looks like we have an audience."
Geten raised his brow at him, "What do you mean?"
"Take a look there." Dabi replied, pointing towards Slice.
Geten looked in the direction his cousin had pointed towards and saw Slice watching them. He raised his brow questioningly at the view of her, "Slice? What are you doing here?"
"I wanted to check on you." Slice explained to him as she pushed herself into walk towards Geten and Dabi to get a bit closer to them, "I asked everyone in the cave if they saw you and Takeuchi-san and Nishimura-san told me they saw you two heading off towards this stream so I went here and saw both of you doing whatever you were doing."
"I see." Geten replied in understanding. He should have been expecting she would try to find him once she'll find out he and Dabi had their conversation. He did showed interest in talking about him once he'll be done with the stuff regarding his cousin..
"Don't mind me if you want to train a bit more. I can wait until you two will be done..." Slice told them, wanting them to know she had no intentions of interrupting them in their training and was willing to wait until they'll be done with it.
"Don't bother yourself with this. We were about to call it a day." Dabi brushed her concerns off, pocketing his hands and pushing himself into walk in the direction of the cave. It was already getting dark and preferred to call it a day now. It was a long day for him, after all.
"Are we doing this again tommorow?" Geten asked with a his tone showing a bit of hope as Dabi distanced himself more from him and Slice.
"Yeah. Whatever. I'll be waiting for you by the exit from the cave in the morning." Dabi bid him farewell with a wave of his hand as he vanished between the bushes, leaving Geten and Slice alone.
Geten shifted his gaze to Slice as soon as Dabi was out of the hearing range and asked her, "I assume this is about the conversation you wanted to have earlier."
"You could say that." Slice nodded in confirmation as she kept looking in the direction Dabi had gone off into, "How did your conversation with him went?"
"Better than I expected to be honest." Geten gave her an honest answer and Slice saw what she assumed to be a hint of a smile on his face, "He was a bit reluctant about talking with this about him until I convinced him it will be for the best to get this over with. We had our conversation afterwards and learned a bit more each other as well. I never would expected soba was his favourite meal."
"Really? Consider me suprised as well." Slice admitted, having not been expecting this as well. She raised her brow, "What else did you learn about him?"
"I found out he cares about the League. Even if he has a hard time admitting this to himself and has a time time showing this to them. He admitted it to me he wasn't expecting to get attached to them when he first joined the League." Geten explained. Dabi told him what he told Y/N before Y/N left as well. It raised his concerns to say the least...
"I see." Slice replied in understanding. She wondered why Dabi had such a hard time expressing this. Care between your comrades was something common. It probably had something to do with his past with Endeavor. Letting out a sigh at the thought of it, she decided to ask Geten about something else, "What were you doing around here?"
"We were trying to find a way how to make my ice and his flames work together. I got this idea as I recalled seeing a stream nearby when we first arrived at our cave." Geten explained as he pointed at the stream behind him and Slice to clarify his point a bit, "I wanted to find a way how to make him damage himself less with his flames by using my ice to cool him down a bit."
"Did that worked?" Slice raised her brow in interest, despite having observed their training. She wanted to see his perspective on it. She smiled slightly as well. From everything she was seeing and hearing about right now, she could tell everything was working out between Dabi and Geten and it made her happy for the ice user. They could bond over their scars as well.
"There are small effects of it but we still have a lot of work ahead of us." Geten gave her his view on his training with Dabi, "Luckilly for us, we have all the time we need for it as it will be a while before we'll make our next. Hopefully by the time we will make it, we'll manage to find a way and get the hang of it."
"Alright. Here's hoping to that." Slice smiled at him, "You really are putting effort in regards of your relationship with Dabi."
Geten sighed, "I'm trying my best. This is my chance at having a family like relationship with someone who isn't just Re-Destro and I don't want to blow it. To be honest I feel like he needs it himself. You know yourself how his family is like. He probably didn't have a healthy interaction with anyone of the same blood as him in years. I want to fix it in some way."
Slice smiled at him, "If you'll keep approaching this like this, then I'm sure you'll do just fine."
"Thanks." Geten smiled back at her in a grateful manner. Slice had to admit. He looked kind of handsome while smilling. He looked towards the cave a second later, "Alright. I think I need to get going. I need to talk with Skeptic and Curious."
"About what?" Slice looked at him with an interested look on her face.
Geten gave her an explanation a second later, "About my past and something I should have done back in the mansion."
Slice raised her brow in interest, "What do you mean?"
Geten gave her his answer a second later, "You see. Back in the mansion, Re-Destro tried to convince me to share my story with the world like the League or you and your friends were planning to do. I was uncertain about it and this is why I didn't do it. However, right now I'm certain about it. My story can be used to push narrative forwad. We can use the Himura clan's past actions of pedigree and elitism as another example of what's wrong with our society alongside what Endeavor has done to get on top."
Slice nodded in understanding, "Alright."
"Now, let's talk about something else while we'll be on our way to them." Geten replied as he pushed himself into walk towards the cave. Slice wasted no time and quickly followed him, leaving both of them walking side-by-side, "You wanted to learn a bit more about me earlier. Right? How about I'll tell you this while we'll be on our way back to the cave?"
"I'd like that." Slice smiled at him. In return she could tell him a bit more about herself.
-----
It was the next day and Y/N, Lady Nagant, Alice and Cyborg put their plan of recording Lady Nagant's story and using it later to spread their message of just how corrupted the Hero Society is into action. Upon leaving the room after their conversation where they planned everything out, Y/N and Lady Nagant filled Alice in on their idea of filming Lady Nagant's story. Alice didn't seem to be suprised by Lady Nagant's story or their new idea of filming it as much as they expected her, remaining unaware of her eavesdropping on their conversation.
They asked her if she knew about any electronic store being in the area as well with hopes of her pointing them in the right direction and Alice knew the right place for them. Fortunely for them, Alice knew where they will find what they are looking for and promised them that she will show them the direction of the nearest store the next day. Once all of them were done planning out their next day, they called it a day and went to sleep to get some rest.
After waking up the next morning and collecting everything they needed from their hideout to leave, all of them left towards their new destination and this time all of them traveled on Cyborg's back to make sure all of them will move around fast and neither will behind the other ones. With all of them traveling on Cyborg's back right now, it was easier for Alice to point them towards the eletronic store she had in mind as well as she didn't want to worry about anyone getting the wrong direction.
Upon arriving at their destination with Cyborg landing in front of the store, all of them moved into the store and allowed themselves to take a look around it. The store was way emptier than it normally would and neither of them were suprised by it. Many people would definitely use the current state of their country as a way of snatching an expensive eletronic for themselves without having to pay for it. Hopefully a good working camera was not high in demand right now and there would be at least one or two good cameras left in this store.
Lady Nagant crossed her arms after getting a good look at the electronic store, "This place looks just as I expected."
"At least it doesn't seem to be as empty as the gun store." Alice remarked. She really wished there were any good rifles or shotguns left the gun store when she was trying to find a gun for herself. This way she wouldn't be stuck with just a pistol as her only gun.
"True." Lady Nagant nodded in agreement.
"Cyborg. Guard the door. If anyone will show themselves, let us know." Y/N ordered Cyborg and his Nomu obeyed him like always as he turned away from him and set it's attention to the door to the electronic store, waiting for anyone or anything to show up in his view. Y/N afterwards shifted his gaze away from the Nomu and looked between Alice and Lady Nagant, "Let's go find a camera. If you'll find anything we can use, let me and the other one know and we'll set everything up for our video."
"Okay/Got it." Alice and Lady Nagant gave him their answers at the same time.
The group of three wasted no time and split up a second later, heading off into the different parts of the store in search of a good and working camera. In her search of a working camera, Alice went to the right side of the store and walked deeper into it and was followed by Lady Nagant who wanted to talk about something with her while Y/N went to the left side of the store, going there all by himself as neither of the women had anything to talk with him for now.
Alice shook her head to herself as she walked further into her part of the store due to her being unable to see a good working camera. Shelves stood half-empty, their contents long pillaged by time and everyone else who visited this place before her and her room. Each step she took into the store left a crunch due to the amount of garbage laying on the floor right floor was literred with fragments of broken screens, tangled wires, and cracked plastic casings. The blonde haired young woman was genuinely suprised this store was abandoned for such a short amount of time.
Her eyes scanned the aisles, searching for the one item she needed to no avail as her luck regarding finding it didn't seem to change and something in the back of her mind was telling her this won't change. She just hoped both Y/N and Lady Nagant will be more fortunate when it came to finding it. She wondered what happened to the owner of this store as well. If were to guess, they must have fleed the moment people started going through their store in search of free electronics.
As she moved deeper into the store, she found something which interested her as she found herself in an alleyway related to the TVs. Unsuprisingly, there weren't many of them but there were still a few of them left. Growing intrigued by the TVs, she decided to try turning on the the TV on display in hopes of it working as this way she could take a look on the today's news and see if anything had changed since yesterday when Y/N's parents were revealed to have been killed.
She worked on the TV for several seconds and it turned on a second later, making her smile slightly. She didn't even have to change the channels as the TV was set on one of the news channels right away. She looked up at the TV screen, wanting to know what it will show and saw a reporter standing in front of what appeared to be a prison as they gave off a report regarding the building behind them. The blone haired young woman didn't pay much attention to whatever the reporter was saying and was more focused on the name for this TV report.
It read: "Blackgate Prison: The most protected prison in Japan!"
"Looking for something?" Lady Nagant's voice flew through her mind a second later, taking her attention away from the TV.
Alice glanced away from the TV to look at the elder woman, "Y-Yeah. You see. Just got curious about they are showing in the TV and all..."
Lady Nagant stopped next to her and took a look at the TV, "Blackgate, huh?"
Alice raised her brow, "You heard about this?"
Lady Nagant provided her an explanation a second later, "Brieftly when I was trying to gian more info regarding the situation in our country before I got into contact with you and Y/N. It was originally known as Mizuku Prison, but it's name was changed recently to Blackgate due to it replacing Tartarus as the most guarded prison in Japan following the war between PLF and heroes."
"I see." Alice said in a mixture of understanding and interest in her tone, "Do you think...?"
Lady Nagant nodded in a slightly uncertain confirmation, "Probably. They wouldn't have placed them in any other prison due to how dangerous they are considered to be. Back when it was called Mizuku Prison, it was the only massive prison in our country which wasn't hit by the prison breaks as well."
Alice raised her brow in interest, "Really? But why was it exluded from the other prisons in our country?"
"I don't know. All For One ordered the convicts from Tartarus to attack all the prisons. If I were to guess, they must have somehow be stopped." Lady Nagant gave her an honest answer. Even if something had happened back there on the night of the prison escapes, then it must have been covered by the media. She changed the subject of the conversation to what she wanted to talk about a second later, "Have you decided to talk with him about it?"
Alice kept her brow raised, "What do you mean?"
"You know what I'm talking about." Lady Nagant gestured to Alice's forehead as Alice adjusted her hair a bit, "Since you showed me what you're hiding me last night, I thought you would show it to him as well."
"I'm planning to." Alice gave her the answer with her look slightly uncertain, "I just don't know how to approach this okay? I never really told anyone about this in a while as I haven't really had anyone I could talk about this with since my grandpa died. What I told and showed you yesterday wasn't the only thing which happened to me when I was bullied in school. Bringing this one situation to you was hard enough. Bringing all of it will just, you know..."
Lady Nagant nodded in understanding with a sympathetic look on her face as she placed her hand on Alice's shoulder, "Listen. I know it will be hard for you to open up about it. It was hard for me last night when I told him everything about myself. Just be honest with him like I was last night and everything will go well. You'll see."
"Okay. I'll tell him..." Alice replied to her advice with a look of gratitude on her face. She let out a deep exhale and asked Lady Nagant, "Lady. Mind if I ask you something?"
Lady Nagant raised her brow at her, "What is it?"
"Are there more people like you out there in Japan?" Alice voiced her question to her, "You know. The kind of people who got turned into assassins to keep up the current system?"
"In Japan? I can't think of anyone right now. If there was, then I think the HPSC got rid of them." Lady Nagant shook her head, "There was, however, this one guy called R3700 who made a name for himself in the US by killing a few famous heroes and big politicians. He even attempted to take life of their number one hero once, but it was one of the few times he failed. But he went quiet from what I've heard. His real name is unknown as well so I don't think we can expect to get anything of it."
"I see." Alice replied in understanding in a slightly disappointed tone.
"Alice! Lady!' Their conversation got cut short as Y/N's voice rang throughout the store. The two women stopped the conversation they were having right now and looked in the direction of it as Y/N revealed his reason for calling out to them, "Come to me! I found a camera!"
"We're coming!" Alice replied to his calling a second later and pushed herself into walk in his direction. She was quickly followed by Lady Nagant.
The two women made their way to Y/N a moment later and saw him preparing the spot around him for some filmaking by moving all the shelves away with his red energy to leave as much space as possible. Y/N didn't notice them straight away, finding himself too focused on his work as Alice and Lady Nagant saw three cameras placed safely on the floor next to him with Y/N making sure to watch out in his steps not to watch on any of them.
"Kid." Lady Nagant called out for him a second later to gain his attention.
Y/N stopped what he was doing upon hearing her voice and turned around to face both he and Alice, "Hey. There you are. Any luck?"
Alice shook her head, "Nope."
"Looks like you more lucky than both of us, though." Lady Nagant pointed out, referring to him having picked three cameras instead of one like she has expected. From the look Alice had on her face right now, she could tell the younger woman was wondering about it as well, "Why did you took three of them, though? We'll be needing only one for this."
"Yeah. We'll be needing only one to have your story recorded." Y/N nodded and explanation his reasons to her and Alice a second later, "I'm taking the extra two for the safety reasons as I want the other two cameras to have copies of your confession on them just in case if the original will be lost or destroyed. We can use them for the other stuff in the future as well."
"Alright. Smart." Lady Nagant nodded in approval and looked around herself, "So, how are we doing this?"
"We will make it look like our confession videos. We'll sit you down on a chair in front of the camera and you will explain everything to it." Y/N provided her an explanation as Lady Nagant nodded in understanding. He shifted his gaze to Alice a second later and asked, "Alice. I saw there's still a chair by the cash register. Could you bring it here?"
Alice shook her head, "Actually can Nagant go instead of me?"
"Why?" Y/N raised his brow.
"I want to tell you something and Nagant leaving to get the chair could give us the privacy for it." Alice wasted no time and explained it to him as Y/N shifted his attention to Lady Nagant.
"I'm okay with it. I'll go get it now." She told him a second later, showing him she had no problem with it as she turned away from him and Alice and started to make her way towards the cash register.
The former Pro-Hero looked over her shoulder a few seconds after turning away from them and noticed Alice and Y/N beginning their conversation. The blonde haired young woman started it off by removing her hair from her forehead, revealing her scars to him. Y/N's reaction to it was instant as his eyes widened and he immediately moved closer to Alice and asked her what happened to her with worry and concern evident in his voice.
They vanished from her view a second later as she turned the corner to walk into another aisle in the store. Whatever Alice will tell Y/N , she hoped nothing bad will come out of it. She made her way to the cash register a few moments later and noticed a chair behind the counter. Climbing over the counter, she grabbed the chair and took it away as she started to make her way in the direction she had come from. She wasn't fast with her movements, though and took longer to get there than it would as she didn't want to walk in on Y/N and Alice having their conversation.
The older woman made their way back to them a moment later and saw everything was set up upon entering the aisle leading to them. The area which the camera would be pointing towards to had been cleared out shelves, leaving it empty out of them and ready to have the attention on her. The camera was set up as well, standing in front of the empty zone in front of it. All it was waiting for right was now was her.
She noticed something else about the scene in front of her. She saw Y/N looking at Alice cigarette bub scars on her forehead with a shocked look on his face. His expression turned into a pitful expression a second later as he placed his hand on Alice's shoulder. He uttered something to her, making the blonde haired woman smile before the two hugged. Lady Nagant smiled slightly at the scene. The view of it only reassured her that she made the right choice of telling Y/N about her past and agreeing to have it recorded.
"I'm back." She announced her return to them as Y/N and Alice pulled away from each other. The older woman could see Alice had small tears in her eyes. Probably from everything she told Y/N about. She looked at her in a slight concern, "You okay?"
Alice wiped her eyes a bit, "Yeah. I just needed to release some stuff..."
"Alright." Lady Nagant nodded in understanding, remaining slightly concerned. She set her eyes on Y/N a second later and saw the look he had on her face. His expession was filled with sympathy and she couldn't notice any other emotion in them. She set the table in front of the camera a second later and looked at him questioningly, "Are we starting now?"
"In a moment. Just let me make sure everything will be ready. You can sit down on the chair if you want to." Y/N replied, moving towards the camera to get himself behind it and out of it's view. He knelt down behind it, ready to turn it on as Lady Nagant once again nodded in understanding and sat down on the chair, waiting for the recording to start as she stared directly at the camera in front of her.
"Let's hope it will work as I want you to record my story as well." Alice told him as she followed Y/N and got herself behind the camera with him. Y/N and Lady Nagant's reaction to her declaration was immediate as both of them snapped their heads towards her.
Lady Nagant raised her brow in suprise. She wanted her to tell Y/N her story. She didn't tell her to have it recorded as well, "What?
"Alice. Are you sure you want it to be recorded as well?" Y/N asked, wanting to make sure Alice will be comfortable with it. Especially with how she broke down into tears when she was telling him everything.
"Yeah. I'm sure of it. I had enough time to think about it." Alice gave him her answer. What Y/N and Lady Nagant instantly noticed was lack of hesitation in her voice, "I want my story to be heard for all the Quirkless people out there. You said it yourself we can use the cameras for the other uses in the future. Why not use them to share more than just Lady's story?"
"...Alright." Y/N nodded at Alice after a moment of silence from him. He didn't have her answer straight away as he wanted to make sure she was serious about it. When a moment passed without her backing down with it, it reassured him that she was certain about it. He turned away from her a second later, going back to the camera and told her, "Don't be nervous if you'll change your mind, though. I don't want to force you into something you don't want to do."
"Don't worry. I won't change my mind." Alice shook her head with conviction evident in her voice. Lady Nagant had to admit. The conviction in Alice's voice almost made her smile.
"Alright." Y/N voiced his understanding of it, now paying his full attention to the camera as she couldn't help himself and smiled slightly at Alice's words as well. He exchanged glances and nods with Lady Nagant a second later, wanting to make sure she was ready to go. He clicked on the camera to turn it on a second later. He was really glad Skeptic showed him how it worked like back in the mansion, "...Aand action!'
"Hello everyone. My name is Tsutsumi Kaina. Many of you know me as Lady Nagant. A hero who has gone rogue many years ago. This video is my confession to what caused me to go rogue and made me lose hope in the hero society..." Lady Nagant introduced herself to the camera, stariting off her video as she stared directly at the camera. She intended to keep staring at it, showing the viewers everything she was saying was the truth as she intended to share all the gruesome details with them...

We have officially passed the 50 chapter mark on this story. To everyone still reading this, thank you for sticking for so long :)
Funfact: 50 chapters was what I was originally aiming for when I first started this story. My plans regarding this changed, though. As of now, I have no idea how many chapters we have left until the end of this story...
I came up with what can be Y/N's theme in the Final War as well. I'll keep it to myself for now, though and won't reveal it until we'll reach the Final War in this story :)
Looking forward to the next episode of season 7 as well as it will have the legendary reveal of Shigaraki being the League of Legends player, lol.
Rewatched the Dark Knight trilogy and I don't think anything will ever beat this trilogy when it comes to the superhero stuff.
Caught up with the NieR: Automata anime after finding out it got a new season and I can say I liked all the episodes we have gotten so far. As a fan of A2, I can bless the anime for cooking all the stuff they did with her. From her backstory and their interpretation of the Pearl Harbor Descend to her time in Pascal's village. Honestly, I'm now calling her "Freesia" more than by her A2 now as well.
Watched Lacey's Games and it honestly is one of the best pieces of the internet horror I've seen in a while. With the lost footage adaptation of Ted the Caver being the only thing preceding it. Looking forward to see where this series will go from here.
Watched the fan film about Kaufmo from TADC and now I feel bad for the guy. Poor guy just wanted to make the circus laugh and smile with his jokes...
