Consequences
Bakugo's vision was blurry when he woke up and found himself in his hospital bed. The blonde haired boy had bandages wrapped around his body, having been patched up from his wounds by the hospital staff after losing his consciousness a while back. He wasn't exactly sure when it happened. He stared at the ceiling above him with a blank look on his face, keeping himself in his half-asleep state until his eyes shot open as he recalled something from his fight with the Paranormal Liberation Front.
He shot up from his bed, letting out a deep breath and clutching his ribs as what happened between him and Y/N flew through his mind. He specifically recalled the part when Y/N hit him with a Quirk erasing bullet and his desperate attempts of activating his Quirk after this. The desperate attempts which were all in vain as there was no sight of his Quirk left in him which resulted in a horrible realization which completely broke him in the moment.
He was Quirkless. He really was Quirkless now. Y/N switched their roles and now he was the Quirkless one. His whole body began to shake in trepidation. He began to sweat badly as well as his thoughts of his new state as a Quirkless person continued to fly through his head. The feeling going through his body right now was horrifying as words couldn't describe how badly he was feeling right now as he knew what his new Quirkless status meant for him and his life.
His longtime dreams of heroics were over. There was no way he could become a hero while not having his Quirk. It was something he had tormented Izuku for all of those years, after all and now he was getting to know how it felt like. His purpose and something he had strived for since a very young age was gone. It was all over for him. His dreams were all gone. His life was over and all of it was taken away from him by someone who he had looked down upon his whole life.
"...You're awake." He pushed himself out of his despaired state and looked towards the source of it. He saw Sero, Mineta and Hagakure all standing in front of him as all of them must have entered his hospital room when he was too busy with his thoughts to notice or hear them enter.
"Guys..." He muttered under his breath at the view of his classmates.
"I'll go get a nurse and tell her he's awake." Hagakure said, her voice lacking it's usual tone as she turned away from Bakugo and walked out of his hospital room in order to get a nurse.
"What happened?" Bakugo asked, wanting to know what happened after he lost his conciousness as Sero and Mineta looked at him with conflicted looks on their faces. They looked like they didn't know what to think about him right now. Something Bakugo quickly took notice of, "What? Why are you looking at me like this?"
Sero who had a bruise on his cheek from his fight with Y/N back in the forest near the mansion sighed, pulling out his phone and clicking on it before turning it around to show something to Bakugo, "Is everything he's saying here true?"
"Huh?" Bakugo hummed questioningly as he glanced at Sero's phone and saw what it was showing. His eyes widened as soon as he laid his eyes on it as he saw a video of Y/N. The video started to play a second later and Bakugo felt his eyes widening further as the video continued and the more he saw of it and what it contained.
Bakugo felt how his already crumbing world crumbled even more the further the video went, listening to everything the video had to offer as if nothing else mattered to him in the moment. Y/N told the world everything. Everything. Every detail of him and whatever he did to him to reach the point of being on the verge of ending his own life becoming the Mask after being approached by All For One was exposed and everyone now knew about this.
What made everything worse was the fact that he actually someone to confirm all of this. The said person was a police detective who worked on his case since the very start of it since he went missing all this time ago. What his name? Asano? Bakugo couldn't even recall his name or be certain of it as he didn't pay much attention to it back in the day as he didn't care about it and was convinced Y/N ran away simply, because he was looking for attention. Attention which Bakugo wanted directed towards him from all the extras around him.
"...Fuck." He muttered under his breath after the video ended, looking at Sero's phone with horror written over his face as he didn't want to accept this was happening. He begged the world for all of it to be a nightmare he would wake up from, but knew it wasn't the case here and knew it was the harsh reality he was living in right now.
"Bakugo?" Sero asked, having taken notice of Bakugo's horrified reaction as he turned off his phone and pulled it away from him before placing it back in his pocket. He and Mineta exchanged glances with each other a second later, both of them judging Bakugo's reaction to the video and silently coming to a mutual understanding with each other.
"So, it's true?" Mineta asked, wanting to know if he and Sero understood Bakugo's reaction properly as he set his eyes back on his classmate. The silent treatment they had received from Bakugo and the look on his face was the only confirmation they needed to get from him. Mineta's conflicted expression quickly faded away from his face and was replaced with a look of disgust and even slight fear. The kind of fear you'd see someone directing towards a villain.
Sero looked at Bakugo with a look of disbelief on his face. Disappointment was noticeable there as well, "Holy shit. So it really is true. You really did all of those things? You really tormented Midoriya for all of those years since you were kids?"
Bakugo stayed silent, having nothing to say to them as he knew nothing he will say right now will make his situation better. Admitting it will not make things any better for him as they will know he had indeed done all of those things and created the Mask and denying it will make things worse to him as he will come off as a liar to them and someone who is trying to avoid the truth even when the truth was made obvious for the world to see.
"Dude. Why?" Sero asked, looking at Bakugo with disappointment written over his face as he looked like was looking at a completely different person right now.
Mineta shook his head, recalling what happened with Y/N back at the mansion and the way he reacted to Kirishima calling Bakugo a hero. Now it all made sense to him why would Y/N react like this and knew what was the truth he brought up to them during their fight with him, "Why would you do any of those things? I thought Midoriya was your friend. Why would you hurt him like you did? Why hasn't he told us about any of this as well and kept hanging out with you? If you treated L/N the same way and even almost drew him to killing himself, then you know what it means? You created him! You created the Mask! He's doing all of this because of you!"
"I know. You don't need to tell me that. I know it's all my fault. I was aware of that ever since it turned out he was the Mask." Bakugo admitted, finally giving his classmates an answer to their words. What Sero and Mineta's attention was what kind of tone Bakugo used when spoke up to them. He normally sounded rude and was screaming at everyone Right now, however, he talked normally and he sounded numb. Almost as if finding out the truth about him coming out had completely killed his emotions in the moment.
"You knew about this and yet, you kept it away from everyone? You knew it was your fault and yet, you never brought this up to us?" Mineta asked him, "Why would Midoriya keep it away from eveyrone as well? I don't understanda any of it. You were hurting him and he didn't do anything about it. He didn't mention what you did to L/N as well. Someone wanted to kill himself because of you...!"
Bakugo stayed silent, returning to his silent state as he didn't know what to say to Mineta.
"Bakugo..." Sero began to say.
"Guys. I'm back with the nurse." Hagakure's voice rang through their ears a second later, stopping the one-sided conversation between Sero and Mineta and Bakugo. The former two looked in the direction of her voice and saw her entering the hospital room with a nurse while Bakugo kept staring ahead of himself with a numb look on his face. She instantly took notice of the look he had on his face right now, "Bakugo? What's wrong with you?"
"We asked him about the video. He didn't deny it." Sero informed her what had happened after she left to get the nurse.
Hagakure gasped, "It's all true?"
"Children. I understand this must be tough for you, but you need to leave now. You'll talk with your classmate about it later once he'll recover." The nurse said, cutting the conversation between them short as Sero, Mineta and Hagakure all exchanged glances with each other and reluctantly moved towards the exit from the room.
Before any of them left the room, Bakugo managed to get one last look at the expressions his three classmates had on their faces right now. He saw the look of disgust Mineta and the look of disappointment Sero had on their faces. Due to Hagakure's Quirk, he couldn't tell what was her face but the tone of her voice when Sero filled her in was more then enough to leave him convinced she must have been horrified by his past actions as well
"Alright. With them gone, let me take a look on you." The nurse nodded to herself once Sero, Mineta and Hagakure left the room as she wasted no time and went to work on him, asking every now and then if he was alright and how he was feeling only to receive no answer from the U.A student.
Bakugo didn't react to anything she said to him or anything she did to him while she was performing her checkup on him as he drifted away into his own thoughts. As he continued to drift away, he finally released all the emotions he had in himself since waking up in the hospital and started tearing up. The weight of everything had came crushing down inside of him and all the negative emotions within him had just exploded because of it.
It wasn't long before his tearing up had became a full blown sobbing as sobbed in despair over his life now being like this. With him now being Quirkless and his past sins being exposed to the world, it was more than certain his life was over and and he knew he deserved all of this for everything he did and the hand he had in creating one of the worst villains in history of Japan. Everything he had done in the past had come back to haunt and it was too late to fix all of this right now.
Bakugo left himself with his own thoughts, sobbing to himself at his past sins finally catching up to him and knowing his life won't be the same after this...
----
Tomohito kept his head low as he walked through the hallways of Shiketsu, feeling the glares of everyone around him as he could feel the distate and dislike all of his schoolmates were feeling right now. If he was honest with himself, he was terrified of coming to school today after what happened with their fight with the Paranormal Liberation Front and what happened with the League releasing their stories into the world with a story of a certain person from his past being included among them.
He clenched his hand, trying to avoid the expressions in the hallway were directing towards him right now as he felt like he wanted to just disappear by deleting himself from the existance. In fact. He didn't want to come to school today out of fear of what will happen to him now that the truth about him had came out for the world to see. But he was forced to by his parents who were and disappointed by him and angry at him for what he did back in the junior, telling him they didn't raise him to be like this and how he needs to face the consequences of his actions. Especially since he would be contacted by the faculty of his school who wanted to have a conversation with him about it soon.
Even though Tomohito protested it, he ultimately went to school and regretted it the moment he stepped into it as he felt the atmosphere inside it became colder when his schoolmates saw his arrival. He wanted to run away and hide away from them the moment he felt their eyes on him, but knew how much worse it will make this situation for him on both his family and school side so he stayed in the school building and went further into it.
He had no idea when the school faculty will have their conversation with him. According to what his parents told him when they talked about him, he will be approached by one of the watchers and brought to the principal's office when the time for the conversation will come. Tomohito didn't know how will this conversation look like. He was certain about one thing, though. He was not looking forward to it and was worried he will be expelled from Shiketsu for it.
He had no idea what was happening with Taiga and Ryoyu right now. Unlike him and Bakugo, they got lucky and weren't specifically mentioned in Y/N's video. He tried to contact his friends about the video and how things were looking for them right now. Neither of them answered his calls, though and blocked him everywhere they could. If he were to guess, they were probably trying to save their own butts by distancing themselves from him.
He let out a deep breath, lowering his head a bit as the angry and disgusted looks from his schoolmates wasn't the only thing he had to deal with right now, though. Everyone were whispering about him as he continued to walk further down the hallway as well and he could some of the stuff they were whispering about him. Some of it was pretty hard to understand due to it being mixed with the other voices but he could hear it neverthless.
"Ugh. He's here."
"What is he doing here?"
"Who does he think he is showing his face here after what he's done?"
"He created the Mask."
"The Mask is doing everything he does because of him. He has blood on his hands as well."
As those whipers of his schoolmates continued to ring through his ears and insults and guilt trips were directed towards him, Tomohito felt his breathing becoming more unsteady and felt himself wishing he would just disappear or make them stop more. Wanting to get away from everything, he increased his pace a bit and didn't head towards his classroom like he originally intended to. He instead went someplace else. Somewhere where he will be alone and will be freed of all of this.
He made his way to the room on his school, running on his way there as he wanted to get away from the stares and whispers as quickly as he could. He didn't even care about the no running in the hallway rule right now. He just wanted to get away from it all. Upon making his way into the room, he looked upwards towards the sky as he let out a deep breath to both calm himself down and to steady his breathing.
After calming himself down a bit even though he was still terrible distressed by everything, he leaned against the wall behind him and pinched the bridge of his nose. He once again began to think how terrible the things had turned out for him and how he doubted anything will change for the better for him now that everyone knew he had created the Mask. He saw the disgust in their eyes and could feel it in their voices when he overheard them whispering about him.
He became an outcast in his own school in just a matter of a few days and he didn't know if there was something he could do to change it. If he'll remain a student in this school as he knew the expulsion from it was a pretty possible scenario right now. Even if he didn't want to accept this. He dreamed about being a hero since he was a kid and he didn't want everything to fall apart right now. Especially when he already had gotten so far.
When the thought of him being an outcast flew through his mind, he couldn't help but think about Y/N again as he recalled how alone he seemed to be whenever they passed each other in the hallway or whenever he saw him in some other place in their junior high when Izuku called in sick at school or was absent for some other reason. He couldn't help but notice how similiar his current situation was to how Y/N's situation was back there.
"Is this how you felt like everytime you went to school?" He asked himself internally, wondering if this how Y/N's daily school life looked back at their school and if the way he was feeling right now was the way his former victim had felt like on a daily basis. It made him feel all the way more regretful at his past actions. It was almost as if the universe was getting back at him by making him feel the same way Y/N felt like.
"Tomo-chan?" A concerned female voice he was more than familiar with by this point rang through his ears, taking him out of his thoughts. He pulled his hand away from his face and looked in the direction of the voice. He saw Inasa, Camie, Nagamasa and Shishikura all staring at him. Inasa and Camie showed concern towards him while Shishikura had a cold look on his face. Tomohito couldn't tell Nagamasa's expression due to how his Quirk made him look like.
He looked at his friends with a nervous and uncomfortable look on his face, "G-Guys. What are you doing here?"
"We just want to check on you, bud." Inasa explained, looking at his friend with a worried look on his face as he stepped towards him, "We saw you running through the hallway and went after you."
Tomohito's eyes widened, "Y-You saw that?"
Nagamasa nodded in confirmation, "We happened to be passing by when you ran past us."
"I-I see." Tomohito said in understanding.
Camie stepped closer to Tomohito with concern evident on her face and placed her hand on his shoulder in a gentle comforting manner, "Are you alright, Tomo-chan? I know all of this must be hard for you. I know what everyone in your school is thinking about you right now."
Inasa nodded in agreement, "Yeah. Everyone already judged you without even hearing out your side. They should know not to take a villain's word at face value like that. Especially when he's throwing..."
"No. Everything he said in his video is true. Nothing I will do or say will excuse me or my actions." Tomohito cut his friend off by admitting his fault, shaking his head at what Inasa was suggesting and it reassured all of his friends he was indeed responsible for everything Y/N had accused him of. As much as Tomohito didn't want to do this, he knew he had to admit this to them as he knew denying it will already make his bad situation even worse.
Inasa's eyes widened at Tomohito's admission of guilt, "W-What?"
Tomohito nodded in confirmation, letting out a sigh, "You heard me right. Everything the Mask said in his video about me is true."
"Tomo-chan..." Camie gasped in shock, having not been expecting him to admit himself to be at fault here as a part of her believed the video was just a hoax created to discredit the hero schools.
"Is this why you punched Mustard and dragged him away back then?" Shishikura asked, thinking back to what happened back at the mansion as he recalled Tomohito punching him and shushing him afterwards, "Because you thought he was going to reveal this to us."
Tomohito once again nodded in confirmation, feeling himself growing nervous by this conversation as he knew he might lose his friends here as well, "Yes."
"I see." Shishikura said in understanding, keeping his cold expression on his face.
"..." Tomohito stared silently at them for the next few moments, seeing the way all four of them were looking at him right now and felt himself growing more nervous with each passing second as he his mind was telling him the longer they were staying silent, the more they were judging him. He broke the silence between them after the next moment passed by asking, "...So. What now? What about me and us. Does it change anything?"
Camie shook her head, looking at him with a reassuring look on her face, "No. It doesn't change any between you and me. I don't care about the person you used to be back in the junior high. I care about the person you are right now and the person in front of me is who I wanted to date. No matter what, I'm with you."
"Camie..." Tomohito looked both grateful and suprised by her sticking by his side. It made him relieved as well. At least he won't be left all alone during all of this.
"As much as I can't believe I'm saying this, I agree with Camie here." Shishikura voiced his agreement with Camie. Even if he told Tomohito he won't be leaving him, his expression remained cold, "You didn't make the Mask murder all those people or didn't force him into becoming a terrorrist. He was the one who thought getting bullied in school is a good enough reason to start murdering people. If anything, he became worse than you."
"Are you sure about it?" Nagamasa asked Shishikura, "After what happened to your dad?"
Tomohito raised his brow at this, "What happened to his dad?"
"You don't know?" Inasa asked with a suprised look on his face as Shishikura clenched his hand at the mention of his dad.
Tomohito raised his brow further, "Don't know what?"
"Shishikura's dad was working a night shift at Tartarus when it was attacked by the villains. He was killed by one of the escaped convicts." Nagamasa filled him in on what happened.
"What?" Tomohito's eyes snapped open at this as he shifted his gaze to Shishikura, "Shishikura-san. I'm so sorry..."
"Don't bother with apologies. You have nothing to apologize here for." Shishikura cut him off, "If anyone is at fault here, then it's those disgusting villains who attacked Tartarus and caused the breakout."
"I see..." Tomohito said in understanding and shifted his gaze to Inasa, knowing it would be better for both him and Shishikura if he changed the topic of their conversation. Upon setting his eyes on Inasa, he asked him, "What about you, Inasa-kun? Are we cool?"
"I don't know, Tomo-kun." Inasa shook his head, beginning to turn away from him.
Tomohito looked hurt by Inasa out of all people saying, "W-What?"
"I'm sorry, Tomo-kun. My best bud was someone like this. I don't know what to think right now. I need to think about it..." Inasa explained his thoughts on the matter, looking like he didn't know what to think of Tomohito anymore as he fully turned away from him and walked off to leave himself with his own thoughts regarding everything.
"Inasa-kun..." Tomohito muttered under his breath, seeing his best friend walk away from him like this and leaving the roof. He sighed internally. Of course he shouldn't have expected all of his friends will accept him after Camie and Shishikura accepted him. His eyes widened further a second later as he saw Nagamasa following Inasa, "Nagamasa...?"
"I just need to think everything through like Inasa-kun. Alright?" Nagamasa replied, exiting the roof through the opened door and leaving Tomohito, Camie and Shishikura behind. The last thing he saw before leaving the room was Tomohito's hurt face.
Nagamasa walked down the steps in order to return to the hallway area of the school as he allowed himself to be left with his thoughts now that he was left by himself. He found himself thinking about everything which went down recently, starting with the fight between the heroes and Paranormal Liberation Front, going to Gigantomachia's rampage and finally ending everything with the League and some of their allies releasing their stories for the world to hear.
"Because my hands are clean here! Because this is all your fucking fault! What is about to happen with Machia now wouldn't have happen if you didn't attack us first! Y/N wanted our operation to be as clean as possible. All the destruction he will bring to our country would have never happen if it wasn't for you attacking us! You heroes just made things worse. Like you always do."
Nagamasa shook his head. He had lost the count of how many times those words repeated themselves in his mind ever since Mustard had uttered them to him and the others. As much as he didn't want to admit this to himself and was nervous about admitting out loud to anyone in his school, he couldn't help but agree with his words in some way as he felt like things would have gone differently if they handled this situation differently.
Would Gigantomachia's rampage and so many deaths still happen if they choose a different way of approaching the Paranormal Liberation Front? He kept repeating this question in his head over and over again and he couldn't help but think of many alternate scenarios where things were handled differently and the situation ended in a better way where the destruction their country had gone through did not happen and all the deaths of so many people did not happen and those people were still alive and well.
As he left himself with his own thoughts, he couldn't help but ask himself, "Do we really have the right to claim to have the moral ground here?"
-----
The saying Sandra L/N was far from having her the time of her life right now was the understatement of the century. In fact. She was far from having a good life. Everything about her life started to fall apart following the betrayal from her own sister and the truth about her 'mistreating' her son as the perfect image she had worked so hard to built had been destroyed and she was outcasted everyone, including her collegues who respected her greatly before the leaked conversation was shown in the media.
She scoffed, shaking her head as she recalled all the stuff the media had been saying about her since her sisters betrayal. All of them were calling her an unfit mother and an abuser. Just the thought of people thinking she was either of those things was enough to make her angry. She wasn't neither of those things. Everything she did was what a parent was supposed to do whenever their kid wasn't acting like they were supposed to.
She had birthed her cursed son into this world and gave him a room over his head. Y/N should express his gratitude to her and her husband for being considerate enough to provide him those things by being the son he was supposed to be and she had all the right to disclipine him when he didn't. Her methods were like this because Y/N gave her no other choice by being an useless little shit who did nothing, but bring shame to the people who brought him into this world.
She let out a deep exhale, thinking about the son and how much she wished she had never birthed him and remained child free, just like she and her husband originally planned before the matter of having a child who would carry their legacy came up and was brought up by her husband. They ultimately decided on having a child which would perform such task and this is how the worst mistake of her life was born.
Sandra shook her head, recalling every time she heard her son being brought up in the TV and every time his villanous actions were brought up. If she was honest with herself, she was suprised she never broke the TV whenever such stuff came up on the TV due to the anger she was feeling by this as she knew each new information about her son would only shatter her already heavily damaged image more to the point of it ending up beyond repair.
What recently happened between the Paranormal Liberation Front and the heroes was when she finally hit her limits with her son. She knew what he did during that fight tarnished her imagine forever. Everyone now will know her as the mother of a terrorrist who killed about 24 on the same day and nothing she will do now will change that. Not only she will die being known as the abuser which she wasn't but also as a mother of a terrorrist. All of it caused by her ungrateful son...
"Just because I asked you to make a name for yourself, I didn't meant becoming the co-commander of the largest terrorrist organization in history, you useless and ungrateful little shit." She thought to herself, pinching the bridge of her nose as poured herself another glass of the liquor she was drinking for the past hour in order to drunk her sorrows of what ended up becoming of her life.
Even her family which supported her when Grace betrayed her was refusing to talk with her now to save their own image. She literally had no one aside from her husband now. Even now their relationship was more strained due to everything which happened after their son was revealed to be the Mask. What had she done to deserve this? If she only had her son in front of him, then she would beat the living crap out of him for ruining her life the way he did.
"Sandra? What are you doing?" She was taken out of her thoughts a second later. She looked in the direction of the voice and saw her husband walking into the room and making his way to her. It wasn't long until he caught the sight of the bottle on the table and a glass in her hand. Upon setting his eyes on the view in front of him, he groaned, "Godddammit. Don't tell me you...?"
Sandra looked up at him, "What? Do you want me to tell you I'm not drinking anything right now! Well, I am and don't even think about stopping me, because there's no way in hell I'm doing this!"
Ryoma shook his head, "Can you stop with this crap? Soon enough you..."
"Soon enough what?" Sandra cut her off, "Why I shouldn't be drinking right now? My life is fucking ruined and nothing I will do will fix it! It's all I have left now!"
Ryoma rolled his eyes, "Here we fucking go again! In case you forgot in that tiny little brain of yours, my life is ruined as well and yet you don't see me getting myself drunk over it every five goddamn seconds!"
"Maybe it's because I have nothing to blame myself here for, unlike you?" Sandra pointed out to him with irritation evident in her voice, "And you have an audacity to call me small brained when you can't figure out something like this yourself..."
"Excuse me?" Ryoma asked, looking like he had just misheard something.
Sandra nodded in confirmation, "You heard me right. Unlike you, I have nothing to blame myself here as I'm not responsible for our lives being in shambles! I wanted ro remain child-free, but then you brought up having a kid which would carry on our legacy and maintain your name of people who did everything well in life! Well, look at this now! Look how that turned out! Everyone now fucking knows us as the parents of a fucking terrorist and nothing we will do will fix it!"
Ryoma looked at his wife with an offended look on his face, feeling insulted she had an audacity to blame it solely on him, "What the fuck make you think you can blame me for this? I never forced you to have a kid! I brought it up to you and you agreed to it after a discussion between us! I never forced you to have a kid with me!"
Sandra glared at him, "Maybe I wouldn't have agreed for this if you never brought this up to me in the first place!? You really are retarded if I have to bring this up to you."
Ryoma glared back at his wife, his face turning red from the way she called him, "You really are blaming me for you agreeing to have him? You could always said no and yet you are refusing to admit this to yourself. Maybe Y/N wouldn't have become a terrorrist and a mass murderer and our lives weren't in shambles if his mom wasn't such a stupid bitch."
"Fuck you..." Their argument got cut short by the sound of a window at the front of their house shattering.
Ryoma looked in the direction, "What the hell was that?"
"Don't know. Don't care." Sandra replied, not caring about it and going back to her bottle like it was the only thing that mattered to her right now.
"You really can't do anything. Even care for your own home." Ryoma shook his head. He directed one last glare towards his wife and pushed himself into walk towards the source of the shattering noise, muttering something under his for every second as he did so and making sure his wife would hear all of this. His words died in his throat when he arrived at his destination and saw what it had to present to him,
Sandra instantly took notice of his silence and looked in the direction he had left towards with a snarl on her face, "What? Cat got your tongue?"
"S-Sandra! Come here!" Ryoma shouted to her. He sounded so nervous all of a sudden. Sandra didn't took notice of it this, though or didn't care enough to take notice of this.
His wife laughed at him, "You must be joking if I think I will listen to you after what you..."
"J-Just shut up and come here!" Ryoma cut her off, his nervousness becoming more evident in his voice.
"For fucks sake. He thinks he can insult me the way he did and now thinks I'll be listening to what he has to say." Sandra muttered under her breath, setting her glass on the table and got up from the couch. She pushed herself into walk towards her husband, reaching her destination a second later and saw him standing in front a broken window with a terrified look on his face. She stopped next to him and looked at him with a raised brow, "What's wrong with you...?"
She got the answer to her question when she looked out of the broken window and glanced in the direction her husband was looking towards right now. Upon laying her eyes on it and seeing what it was, she quickly followed her husbands example and formed a terrified expression on her face. If she was honest with herself, she instantly forgot about the argument she just had with her husband and how they insulted each other because of what she just laid her eyes on.
She saw a crowd of people advancing towards their house. She couldn't tell how much people the group had. Over twenty definitely. A few of them seemed to be carrying some sharp objects as their weapons while most of them were not carrying anything. It along with the way they climbed themselves over the fence made her realize something. Those people either had weak Quirks or were Quirkless, just like her son used to be.
Sandra held her breath, feeling like she wanted to run away and felt her life flashing before her eyes as the invaders of her household continued to advance towards her house...
-----
Grace Okuda looked out of the window of her apartament, looking at the desolated streets of her city while her husband Takuya and her son Akihiko were busy packing everything they could take with them with the safe zone they would be relocating themselves at. With the chaos Japan found itself in following the battle between heroes the Paranormal Liberation Front and many dangerous escaped convics roaming free, many safe zones for the civilians were established across the country and she and her family intended to stay at one of the said zones until the situation in their country will calm down.
The said zone was located at U.A. She knew how risky it was of her, considering who was her family, but she needed to think about the safety of her son and she knew he will be safer behind the walls of U.A than their apartament. She knew she could move her family to a civilian established safe-zone as many of those were being created as well due to the growing distrust of the heroes, but she personally found staying in a civilian established safe-zone more risky than staying in a hero established one.
She glanced away from the window a second later, knowing she shouldn't waste her time by looking out at the streets she was already familiar with and went back to what she was doing a few moments ago. Not wasting any time, she began to pack all the neccessary clothes for herself into her bag and she wasn't intending to leave herself without any backup clothes during her stay in the safe zone. Especially since she didnt know how long the said stay will last.
As she continued to pack her clothes, she found herself thinking about her nephew again and all the new stuff involving him. She thought about his video which explained what was driving force in his actions, explaining the severe bullying he had suffered in addition to his already abusive and neglectful parents and all the heroes he had killed which marked him a S ranked villain and the third most wanted person in the country.
She couldn't help but sigh when all those things flew through her head, asking herself how much she had failed her nephew as his aunt and how all of this could have been prevented if she noticed all the red flags in his homelife before he became a villain.
"...Gracey?" Takuya's voiced rang through her ears a second later.
Grace shook her head a bit, taking her away from her thoughts and turned around towards the source of her husbands voice and saw him standing in the doorway to the room, "Oh! Takuya!"
Takuya quickly took notice of the state his wife was in and stepped towards her with a concerned look on his face, "Is everything alright, Gracey?"
Grace sighed, "Yeah. I'm fine. I'm just thinking..."
Takuya looked at his wife with a look of a sad understanding on his face, "Are you thinking about Y/N again?"
Grace nodded in confirmation, letting out one more sigh as she gazed down at the floor, "Yeah. I just can't get him out of my head after Akihiko showed us his confession video on the internet. I just can't believe he was going through something like this in school in addition to everything Sandra and her husband were doing to him in their house. He literally had no one he could turn to. I feel like I failed him as his aunt so badly..."
Takuya placed his hand on Grace's shoulder, seeing the guilty state his wife was in as she looked up at him, "Gracey. What was going on with Y/N was not your fault. You had no idea what was happening to him and you couldn't even see how he was doing due to your sister and her husband always keeping him away whenever the family stuff would come up under some excuse. You did everything you could in your situation by exposing your sister and her husband for the scumbags that they are."
"If you say so. It doesn't make me feel any better. I still feel like I could do something to help him. I should have noticed how big a red flag Sandra keeping him away from the rest of the family for all of those years. If I did, then maybe he would have a normal life..." Grace admitted, letting out a sigh as she recalled what she and her husband went through after she exposed Sandra for the neglectful abuser that she was.
She recalled how furious her entire family was with her, demanding to take back what she said when she exposed Sandra and Ryoma. When she didn't and told them nothing they will do or say will make her do it, they cut all the ties they had with ehr and went no contact with her and her family She was not hurt by this turn of events, though. She didn't want to associate themselves with those people and didn't want them around her son if they were willing to do something like this simply because she stood up for her nephew.
She looked up at her husband again a second later and and asked him, "I just can't ask but ask myself this question every now and then. Do you think things wouldn't be like they are right now if I had noticed all the red flags earlier? Do you think he wouldn't be a normal boy his age and all of those people would still be alive?"
Takuya sighed, moving closer towards his wife as he wrapped his arms around her and gave her a hug, "I'm not sure what would happen if that was the case, Gracey and I'm don't think anyone knows what would happen if that was the case. I'm sure about one thing, though. I'm certain you'd do whatever in your power if you had found out about this sooner."
"I see." Grace said in a sad understanding in her voice.
Takuya pulled away from her a second later and looked down at her, "We should get back to packing our stuff. Even if couldn't save your nephew from whatever was happening to him, we still have Akihiko with us and his safety should be our main priority now."
"Yeah. You're right." Grace nodded in agreement, feeling all of her guilty feelings regarding Y/N getting replaced with her desire of making sure her son was safe in those rough time. She turned away from her husband and went back to waht she was doing a second later, "Have you talked with our neighbours like I asked? Are they planning to head into a safe zone as well?"
Takuya nodded in confirmation, "Some of them are. But most of them are planning to head into a civlian created safe zone, though. Only Chidori is planning to head to the safe zone located at U.A. When I asked them about it, they told me they don't really trust heroes with keeping them safe after what happened and what came out about them."
"I see." Grace nodded in understanding. Even if she kind of saw this coming, she was suprised to hear only one person was intending to stay at U.A, just like them, until the situation will calm down.
Takuya crossed his arms, "Do you think staying at U.A is a good idea, though? People will definitely know who we are there and you know how judgemental people can get nowadays."
Grace nodded in confirmation, letting out a sigh. Even if they already talked through this, her husband still had his doubts and she couldn't blame him for it, "I know. I still feel like this is our best option, though. You know how U.A is defended and know how it was defending itself even from a bunch of noisy reporters. You know all the heroes which reside in it as well. A place surrounded by the heroes is where Akihiko will be the safest. Even if they allowed someone like him to be one of their students.."
"Yeah. I know." Takuya sighed, knowing what student from U.A her husband had referred to a second later, "I'm just worried and scared how things will turn out now. With the situation in our country being like this, it can go in every direction."
"Yeah. Me too." Grace nodded in agreement. Whatever will happen from now on, she hoped things woudl turn out alright and hoped she and the only family she had left will remain safe in those tough times.
-----
The dorms in U.A were quiet and mostly empty today. Normally occupied dorms with the students were empty now as all of the students were absent from it for one common reason. The said reason was what happened with the Paranormal Liberation Front and most of them having to be put in the hospital due to the injurest they had substained against the villains from the said organization. The only people who were in the dorm right now where Mirio and Eri.
Eri paid no attention to Mirio, keeping her eyes set on the tablet in front of her as she kept watching the video labelled as the confession of the Mask on repeat for what felt like forever. She honestly lost the count of how many times she watched this video ever since she found out about it's existance. She did this as everything this video contained had a lot to process for her and she wanted to make sure she understood everything from it. She wouldn't be suprised if by this point she would have everything from it memorized.
The little girl shook his head, feeling herself tearing up a bit as she once again forced herself to listen to everything Y/N, her hero, had gone through in the past. She didn't know about all of this. He brought up what happened to his friend Origami and how she reminded him of her, but never brought what happened to him to her. She couldn't help but ask herself this question constantly. Was this why he helped her? Was this why he promised to keep her safe from Kai.
As this question continued to fly through her head on repeat, she couldn't help but wonder about something else. She found herself thinking about Bakugo and the way he was mistreating Y/N for his entire life. She found herself thinking about this as she often saw Izuku hanging out with Bakugo. It made her really confused. Izuku described Y/N to be his best friend and yet, he kept hanging out with someone who tormented him. All of it made her really confused.
"He was hurting Y/N and you kept spending time with him? Why? I thought you said Y/N was your friend..." She asked herself internally, feeling all sort of confused and conflicted thoughts flying through her head. She just didn't know what to think of Izuku right now. He was supposed to be a hero and heroes are supposed to protect those who are hurting. If that was the case, then he didn't do anything with Bakugo and kept spending time with him.
Mirio looked down at Eri, sitting next to her as she saw watching the confession of the Mask for he didn't even know how long. He asked her a few times if she could play something else on it and Eri refused each time he had asked her this. He didn't push her further each time she refused to do it, though. He knew it would just make things worse. This girl was already in too big of an emotional turmoil because of what happened with the villains from the Paranormal Liberation Front and he was the only one who could offer her support right now as everyone else was either hospitalized or dealing with the chaos their country found itself in.
The blonde haired young man shifted his attention from Eri, letting out a sigh as he left himself with his thoughs regarding what happened with the Paranormal Liberation Front as well. He couldn't believe how badly the things had escalated. It was supposed to be a smooth operation with everyone getting arrested and the Mask and Weaponsmith possibly coming back with them and getting put in the rehabilitation program at U.A
The truth turned out to be far away from the reality, though. The operation was anything, but smooth and he didn't even want to think about how many lives were lost during their operation. Their plan of saving the Mask was all for nothing as well. The Mask not only spat on their offer. He committed many despicable things during their operation as well. It included him killing about 24 heroes, including Snipe who was one of Mirio's teachers and Yoroi Musha who was one of the top heroes in the country.
Mirio clenched his hand, having just set his thoughts on all the heroes who were killed by Y/N . From what he heard from everyone, he showed absolute lack of remorse for what he did as well. He couldn't believe those actions were committed by the same person who risked his life to save Eri. He even used their offer of saving them as a way of manipulating them into lowering their guard so he could use one of Overhaul's cursed bullets on Bakugo, taking away his Quirk in the process.
As soon as Bakugo crossed his mind, he started to think about him as well. He recalled all the times Bakugo acted weirdly whenever the Mask and the matter of saving him was brought up to him. The blonde haired young man never thought much of it until the Mask explained to him, Nejire and Iida how Bakugo was a bully who almost drew him to suicide. After this reveal during his confrontation with the Mask and getting more details on the situation by watching the Mask's video, Bakugo's weird behavior made perfect sense to him. Even though what Bakugo did was horrible, it still didn't excuse everything the Mask did in his mind.
He knew he couldn't discredit everything in the video as well due to Asano being there and confirming all of this. Because of him being a police detective who was known by the media to be working on The Mask's case ever since he went missing all this time, he credibility of the video shot up much higher. Even if Asano was arrested for being a high ranking member of the Meta Liberation Army. Something Mirio still had a hard time wrapping his head around. To think Asano was someone like that when he talked with him and the rest back in the hospital after Overhaul's defeat...
He pushed himself out of his thoughts a second later and looked at the TV in front of him, seeing it was showing something related to the death of Twice and Tengai to Hawks and how Hawks still hadn't made a statement about this. Needless to say. Many people in the public were outraged by this news, especially when the news of it happening before any blood was spilled by the Paranormal Liberation due to it meaning the heroes were the first one to spill the blood and people who were supportive of the said organization were openly wanting to lynch Hawks for this.
He turned away from the TV a second later, letting out a sigh and looked down at Eri. He saw her staring at the TV in front of her. She must have shifted her attention away from her tablet when he wasn't looking. He saw the looks she had on her face right now. She looked incredibly hurt by everything. Letting out another sigh, he found himself thinking back about the Mask. Despite all of the horrible things he had done, Eri still thought of him as her hero.
Eri looked up at him a second later, "...Mirio?"
Mirio looked down at her with a gentle look on his face, "Yes, Eri?"
"Why did Twice have to die?" Eri voiced her question to him.
Mirio looked taken aback by her question, "W-What?"
Eri wasted no time and repeated herself, explaining her thoughts to him as she sounded as tearful as ever when uttered her next words to him, "Why did Twice have to die? He was nice to me too. I told you about this when you asked me about Y/N and I told you he was nice. You told me you wanted to save Y/N. Why you didn't do the same with Twice or Toga? Why did Twice have to die...?"
Mirio sucked in his breath a bit, knowing he had to pick words very carefully, "...Eri. I know it must be hard for you since Twice was there with L/N when he was keeping you save from Kai, but he was still dangerous. Whatever happened between him and Hawks, I'm sure Hawks did everything to make sure it wouldn't have to happen. There was nothing we could have done..."
"He did everything he could? But what if it was Y/N?" Eri asked, tearing up more as she imagined Y/N replacing Twice and being the one who was killed by Twice instead, "You promised to me you would save him. If Hawks would do the same to him, then you would tell me there was nothing you could do too? Would you do the same if Toga was in his situation?"
"Eri..." Mirio began to say. He didn't get a chance to voice his thoughts, though as Eri had more to say to him.
"Why did you allowed this to happen to Twice?" Eri went further into her thoughts, now crying as she recalled the short time she spent with Twice back in the Shie Hassaikai. What caught Mirio's attention when she uttered those words were her eyes. They weren't as trustful as they were before this operation, "I told you he was nice to me and your friend still hurt him. I told you how he tried to make me smile even when I didn't know how to do it after Toga braided my hair and he was still hurt by one of your hero friends. If you promised me to save Y/N, then why didn't you do the same with Twice and Toga?"
Eri didn't stop there, though and continued to tearfully voice her thoughts to Mirio, "Why is Deku spending time with Bakugo as well? If he knew Y/N since they were my age, then he must know what Bakugo was doing to Y/N. Why is he friends with someone who hurt Y/N this much? Why someone as mean as Bakugo is a hero while someone as nice as Twice had to die?"
Mirio stayed silent after Eri's words, finding himself unable to say anything right away as he knew he had to very careful when it came to picking his answer here in fear of him hurting Eri more than she was already hurting and making her more conflicted on everything. As he continued to think about his answer and Eri continued to think about Twice, he couldn't help but think about him and how all of it started with Hawks killing Twice and Tengai and how many of the Paranormal Liberation Front sympathizers were using this situation to call the Paranormal Liberation Front's retaliation self defense.
He found himself thinking back to his confrontation with the Mask at the ruins at the Jakku Hospital as well. The villain brought up to him how all of them talked about saving him due to him helping Eri when she had no one and yet, they kept excluding Twice and Toga from it. It made him convinced the Mask would be more open to the idea of saving him if the League wasn't excluded from it and made him ask himself how things would have gone if they had gone this route.
"...Maybe we shouldn't have focused ourselves only on L/N and Jakuzure." He thought to himself sadly, asking himself how differently things could have done if Twice wasn't killed. Unfortunely it was something he and everyone else will never get the answer to this question as they now had to live in whatever had this situation turned into.
----
The teachers lounge in U.A was silent as all of the teachers who could show up for the meeting between them where they would discuss what to do now were gathered around. The atmosphere between them was pretty grim to say the least and who could blame them for feeling like this? The situation was in their country was horrible. The damages done of their country was the largest in the nation's history and the trust people had in them was the lowest it had been in the recent memory.
Many of their fellow heroes lost their lives in their fight against the villains from the Paranormal Liberation Front as well and it included some of their own collegues from U.A in the form of Midnight and Snipe. The current number of deceased heroes stood at about 66. The number was still being counted as they had no idea how many heroes had perished in Shigaraki's decay wave upon his awakening. The deceased heros included three heroes from the top ten in the form of Crust, Kamui Woods and Yoroi Musha and the saying the morale hit of the surviving a new low because of it would be quite the understatement.
Not only that. Many heroes were injured during their fight and had to be hospitalized because of it. Their fellow teacher Aizawa was the best example of it as he lost one of his legs and one of his eyes during their fight with Shigaraki. The other good examples of it included Edgeshot was getting treated for his now missing eye which he had because of the Mask and Endeavor and Hawks who had suffered their own injured in their both respective fights with Shigaraki and Dabi.
What made everything way worse for them was the release of the interviews done by Chitose Kizuki and the videos where the League and some of their allies had explained their troubled backstories which were their driving force in accomplishing their goals. The saying those stories made them look bad was quite the understatement as it made them look as if they were refusing to accept people who didn't fit into their view of a perfect society.
They weren't the only one affected by the videos. The places and the people which were brought up by them in their videos and the interviews were affected as well. The best example of it was what happened with the Alder Junior High as it was now labelled a "Villain Factory" by the civilians who were furious at this school and were demanding answers, but the principal vanished off the face of the Earth once the videos were released. The same went for the other members of the staff. The schools which were attended by Origami and Mustard were staying silent as well.
U.A was included in the civilians angry demands for answers as well due to what recently came out about Bakugo and his apparent torment of the Mask and Izuku throughout their childhoods. Izuku's mother Inko was furious with them as well and wanted to have a conversation with them about it. Especially with All Might and Aizawa as it was their job a Izuku's mentor and homeroom teacher to protect her son. Something they had failed at.
Bakugo's poor parents were swarmed by the media as well as the reporters were demanding answers from them and were questioning them about their son and even their way of raising them. Many of the questions often consisted of "What made your son believe such behavior is appropiate for a hero?" or "Was he raised in such a way by you?". Bakugo's parents never answered to any of those questions and almost shut down the reporters by telling them they have no comments on that.
Nezu placed his hands in front of his face to make them into a tent, letting out a sigh, "I don't think I need to explain how bad things are like right now..."
"Things are bad right now?!" Power Loader exclaimed, "What you just said is putting it mildly. This is a catastrophe!"
Vlad King sighed, "Everything already looked bad for us due to the damage Gigantomachia getting loose and all the damage he has done to our country. Everything just became way worse after they released their videos and interviews into the internet. Their stories have gained them more supporters than they should have. You just need to look at the videos and see people voicing their support and arguing with everyone who thinks otherwise."
All Might sighed as soon as the videos and the interviews released by the League were brought up by Vlad King. He saw all of those videos. He watched all of them mor than to be exact. He saw everything the members of the League had to say to the world and expressed how the so-called Era of Peace excluded them for not being born good enough to being included in it and how many people in the comments seemed to agree with them, expressing how they had gone through the same thing.
The former one hero clenched his hand, feeling himself growing guilty over what happened and what had all of those people gone through under his watch. All of this was happening under his nose and he couldn't notice this or he didn't care enough to notice this because he was too certain everything he was doing was enough and everyone who didn't have ill intentions towards the civilians was perfectly happy. He knew all of it was a delusion he had put himself in, though.
He thought about every single member of the League and even some of their allies such as Ayaka Okumura, Chimera, Slice and Mummy. He thought about how all of them were people who were ostracized by the society built under his Era of Peace. He thought how all of them were all alone and had no there to help them until they became the villains and stumbled upon people who had gone through the same thing and sympathized with them over it.
He felt his guilt increasing the more he thought about it with each passing second. He remembered the way he thought about the League back then and the way he thought about the League right now. All of them were a bunch of traumatized kids who never got the help they needed and they had to turn to villainy because of it and for all he knew, the chances they had of ever mending things with them and talking things through became non-existent now because of what happened to Twice and Tengai.
"Tell me. Do you think capturing us will stop more villains from arising? No. More villains like us will be born for as long as you heroes will refuse to see flaws in your beloved hero society."
"Is this what you meant when you said those words to me?" The former number one hero thought to himself when the words Y/N had uttered to him back in Camino Ward flew through his mind.
"I don't even want to imagine how high their support would be if Gigantomachia's rampage and the prison breakouts didn't happen." Ectoplasm stated, letting out a sigh.
Nezu hummed in agreement. As much as he didn't want to admit this and as much as he wished this wasn't the case in this situation, the prison breakouts were a blessing in disguise and he knew how messed up it sounded. He didn't even want to imagine how worse the situation would be for them if those hadn't happened. Letting out a sigh, he uttered, "We really need to figure out what we should do now. The morale of everyone is all-time low and I can't recall the last time when the trust in heroes has been that low."
Cementoss glanced at Recovery Girl questioningly, "How many people have agreed to stay in the safe zone we had set up here?"
"Less people than I expected." Recovery Girl sighed, "From what I managed to gather, many people prefer to stay in the safe zones created by their fellow civilians as they prefer their own protection over the protective we will provide them behind our walls as we can be hiding another villains in the making."
Present raised his brow at her, "Villain in the making? If I didn't know about the videos, then I wouldn't know what you are talking about right now."
"Yeah." Recovery Girl nodded in agreement.
"Our severe lack of judgement really played with us here." Cementoss stated, "I was convinced their relationship was the one of a rivals. I had no idea it was like this."
Ectoplasm nodded in agreement, "You and me both..."
Nezu pulled his hands away from his face and placed them on the table, "We will have to make a statement about it soon. Unlike Endeavor or Hawks, an injury is not stopping us from making a statement as our silence towards the media is only making everyone less trustful of us. From what I learned from the principal of Shiketsu, they are dealing with the same problem regarding one of their students."
"Young Midoriya's mother wants to talk with us about it as well." All Might stated, "From what I got from her when she called me, she isn't happy about that and us allowing it to happen right under our noses."
Vlad King pinched the bridge of his nose, "What are we going to tell them? If we'll tell them the truth about us making a mistake when it came to one of our students? It will just make us appear worse."
"I'm still thinking about it." Nezu admitted, "I know if we'll say something wrong while making our statement on the young Bakugo, then it will be used against us. We'll have to pick everything really carefully here."
"I'm planning on telling Mrs. Midoriya the truth." All Might gave his answer a second later, "I don't want her to make her more angry and disappointed with us than she already is."
Vlad King nodded in understanding, letting out a sigh, "I see."
"What about the League?" Hound Dog asked, "Has any progress have been made regarding them?"
Nezu shook his head, "No. All of them are still on the run and haven't been seen since All For One was freed from prison. They can be anywhere in our country right now for all we know."
"I see." Hound Dog said in understanding, crossing his arms, "Damn it. We really need to do something about them. We're sitting around here and doing nothing while they are probably planning how to destroy our country more!"
Nezu nodded in agreement, "That I know."
Ectoplasm glanced at Snipe's seat. The seat which was unfortunely unoccupied now due to his death, "I really wish we'll manage to get a hold of them soon enough. I really wish to have them all locked up for what they did. Especially him for what he did."
"To it's the same kid who saved Eri and it's the same kid some of us wanted to save..." Vlad King muttered under his breath, knowing who was Ectoplasm talking about right now. Even though he was against the idea of saving the Mask as he knew people are him were not worth it, it didn't make him any less shocked by his actions during their fight with the Paranormal Liberation Front.
Ectoplasm looked at Present Mic questioningly, "How is Eri handling all of this?"
Present Mic crossed his arms, "I talked with Shota about it and he told me he talked with Mirio about it. According to him, Eri still views him as her hero. Even if she knows what she did. She even called Bakugo a villain. I don't thinks he has as much trust towards us as she used to have as well."
Ectoplasm sighed, "I see."
"Poor girl must be keeping herself deluded into think the person who saved her isn't a monster." Vlad King stated.
"I really don't understand that kid..." Power Loader stated, referring to Y/N.
"You're not the only one." Hound Dog agreed with him, keeping his arms crossed, "He commits a mass murder and kills over two dozen heroes and injures many of our students and what he does afterwards? He warns people about the danger caused him by and the rest of the League."
"Do we have even any idea how we can handle him or Shigaraki?" Cementoss asked, "We all know what both of them are capable of doing together and how they can wipe out multiple heroes in seconds with their attacks. We can't keep them together in the same for it as well as it would a catastrophe. Even if we Shota helping us with them."
"We already are working on the plan on how to approach them." Nezu informed him, "All of us read the reports and are aware of the things Shigaraki was shouting out to young Midoriya when he and Shigaraki clashed with each other."
"Do you really think it would work in our benefit if we managed to captured L/N before taking of Shigaraki?" Vlad King wanted to know.
Cementoss nodded in agreement, "Maybe it would work. As much as I'm having a hard time admitting it, Shigaraki seems to genuinely care about L/N . As someone who participated in the attack at the mansion, believe me when I say when I heard Gigantomachia was crying something out about needing to take his masters brother to him. I could hear it even when I was too busy fighting Chimera."
"The headlines in the TV where people are discussing whether L/N should be called L/N or Shigaraki right now are proving that as well." Recovery Girl stated.
"Do you think it will really work?" Hound Dog asked, looking like he wasn't exactly on board with the idea.
Cementoss nodded in agreement, "Perharps. After all, we all are aware of what a person is capable of doing when it comes to the one person he cares about the most. If we'll get L/N, then we can use him as a bargaining chip for Shigaraki."
"Don't forget to consider the fact that Shigaraki might end up destroying everything in path in order to get hi back if he does care about him." Power Loader stated.
Hound Dog nodded in agreement, 'This plans seems to risky to me."
"Every plan we will come up with right now will be too risky." Nezu stated, "Despite everyone being horrified with L/N's new abilities, he doesn't have the advantage of the element of suprise anymore as we are aware of what he is capable of doing now."
Recovery Girl nodded in agreement, having been made aware of Y/N's Quirk causing him painful headaches once he exhausts himself with it, "The information we had been provided regarding him from our students can become useful to us as well as we could put him in a state where he would be unable to defend himself due to his headache. But it's quite risky as well as it would have us tire him out to the point of having a headache again.
"If I were to pick, I would pick a plan where we have him pin down and leave him unable to form a protective barrier around him." Nezu voiced his thoughts on the matter, "It almost worked with Edgeshot and it would have worked if he knew about his barrier being the one of protection sooner."
"Too bad it ended with him losing one of his eyes..." Power Loader muttered under his breath. He spoke up more loudly a second later, "Even if we'll go along with this idea and will try to use L/N as the bargaining chip, we still don't know where to start looking for him and he would have to be separated from Shigaraki for this to happen. Something I don't think will happen until the League will make their next move."
-----
Best Jeanist looked at the crowd of people in front of him, having just defeated a group of villains which were threatening a group of civilians on the street and eyed the group of civilians in front of him. It didn't took him long to notice the way the civilians were looking at him and how little of them were actually looking happy and grateful to see him. Many of them were looking at him with contempt and distrust.
The number three hero sighed internally, realizing the the current crisis had an even stronger effect to the populace. The distrust of heroes was massive right now and knew building it back up will take a long time, considering everything that happened and everything that came out about the society following the release of the videos and the interviews. The last group of civilians he had saved before this one straight up told him to leave them alone without expressing any gratitude for their help.
"Where are the local authorities?" He asked the civilians in front of him, seeing how he was the only person who could defend the civilians in the area.
A man in front of him shook his head, "Not coming. The police have their hands full trying to chase down that load of villains who escaped from prison. And the heroes, they closed up shop as soon as the public started criticizing them. Just vanished."
"Because they're cowards." A woman next to the man muttered under her breath with clear animosity in her voice.
"Who needs 'em?" A man in the back of the group of the civilians asked himself, looking down at the ground.
Best Jeanist nodded in understanding, "I see. Then, I'll send you some of my own sidekicks..."
"...Wait a second?" An unnamed man cut him before he could say anything as something or rather someone in Best Jeanist's car caught his attention. He stepped forward from the group of civilians and set his eyes on the man inside. Even if the man had various medical equipment on him right now, he could still recognize him from his haircut and the silhouette. It was Hawks, "Isn't that Hawks?"
A woman narrowed her eyes at Best Jeanist's car and nodded in agreement, "Holy shit. You're right. It really is him."
The unnamed man shifted his gaze to Best Jeanist and pointed towards his car before demanding, "What is he doing here? Are you taking him where he belongs?
Best Jeanist raised his brow, "Where he belongs?"
The unnamed man crossed his arms, "Yeah. As in jail."
Best Jeanist shook his head, "No. I'm not taking there, because he doesn't belong there."
"What? Are you serious right now?" A woman asked him angrily.
"Of course you wouldn't take care of it. What else should we expect from you?" The unnamed man shook his head, shifting his gaze to Best Jeanist to glare at him and pushed himself into walk towards Best Jeanist's car.
Best Jeanist stopped him before he could advace further, "Where are you going?"
"To do your job for you." The unnamed man gave him an honest answer.
Best Jeanist shook his head, "You're not going anywhere. You need to stop right now."
The civilian didn't back down and stood his ground, his furious eyes staring directly into Best Jeanist's, "Or what? Your friend will kill me too? Or will he kill one of these people when they will step up to help me?"
As Best Jeanist continued with his attempts of calming down an angry crowd, Hawks remained inside his car and watched scene in front of him with a saddened and guilty frown on his face. He really wished Best Jeanist didn't have to deal with an angry mob for his sake, but he knew dealing with them by himself in the state he was in right now was wouldn't end well for him. He knew he just had to wait until he'll be in a good enough state to deal with this all by himself.
Not wanting to watch the scene in front of him and wanting to shift his thought towards something else, he glanced away from the scene in front of him and glanced towards his side where he saw a foreign woman with a blonde hair painting a griffiti on the wall with a spray. The woman stopped what she was doing for a second, sending him a cold look almost as if she was daring him to approach her and stop her from continuing what she was doing. She turned away from him a second later, going back to what she was doing and Hawks and Best Jeanist finally saw what she was writing. The inscription said "L/N Y/N: Voice for the Quirkless People".
Next to the graffiti was placed a poster. The poster wasn't showing Y/N, though. It was showing Spinner and was labelling him as a new voice for all the heteromorph across the country. Hawks sighed internally. Out of everyone from the League, both Spinner and Y/N were the ones who managed to gather the most the supporters as both Quirkless and heteromorphs could sympathize with them on what happened to them.
Hawks shifted his gaze away from the griffiti and the poster a second later, leaving himself with his own thoughts as he found himself thinking about the League and what happened between him and them. The members of it he had in his mind specifically right now were Y/N, Rappa, Tengai and Twice. When the latter two crossed his mind, he found himself thinking back to what happened between them and how it was affecting him right now.
The saying people were furious with him was quite the understatement and it was showing right now. If it wasn't for Best Jeanist standing between him and the civilians, then he was certain some of civilians would try to attack him as there were many people out there who wanted him lynched for what he did to Twice and Tengai and were demanding him to make a statement about. Even in his injured state where he could communicate only through his phone.
Hawks shook his head. This was exactly what he was worried about after he accidentally killed Tengai. Even though he didn't want to kill Twice, he knew it had to be done as he and his power were too dangerous and he knew some parts of the public would accept this explanation. The situation was completely different when it came to Tengai, though. Even if he was not intending to kill him and he run straight into his blade, everyone saw him as someone who was trying to protect his friend and was killed for it.
It was when Hawks found himself thinking back to what happened between him and Dabi. He found himself recalling what Dabi said to him about facing an angry Y/N and Rappa after what he did to Tengai and Twice. He recalled how Dabi told him he should just let him burn him alive as it will be still a better and less painful way for him to go as it will be nothing compared to what Y/N and Rappa will do to him once they will get their hands on him.
He brushed it off back then. Even after Tengai warned him about the powers of his comrades from the League having evolved. He now regretted brushing it off, though. He heard the stories of Y/N's rampage and how he took 24 lives during it. It included the stories of his Bloody Rain as well and he had to say. It horrified even him. He heard the the stories of Rappa's rage filled rampage as well and how he claimed the lives of both Selkie and Shishido during it.
Now that he knew about all of this and what they did to everyone in their enraged state, Hawks didn't even want to imagine what they would do to him if they actually managed to get their hands on him in some way. The only comfort he had here was the fact that Rappa was captured and locked away. It didn't change the fact that Y/N was still out there and probably made him one his main current targets, though.
Now that he thought about all of it now and had a perfectly good idea what will Y/N do to him once he will get his hands on him, he came to a conclusion. As much as he hated to admit this, he had to agree with what Dabi had said to him back at the mansion and preferred if Dabi had cremated him back at the mansion...

I'll be having birthday in two days so happy birthday for me, I guess.
Here we go with the second part of the aftermath and I hope you liked it as I included the characters I felt like were the most important in it while bringing up how the situation looks like with the rest of the stuff. I wanted to get this chapter a few days sooner, but I was extremely tired due to some private stuff for the first part of the week and just couldn't focus on writing.
The next chapter will finish off the aftermath and it will be a mixture of scenes from both the villain side and the hero side of things such as the stuff with Izuku.
We're so close the seventh season and I just can't wait for it. The fact that we'll be getting the next TADC episode around the same time makes it even better.
Finished Persona 3 Reload and I loved this game. I was shocked by the ending due to how depressing it was. The game touched many serious subjects during it with death and grief (My boi Aragaki...) being the most evident among them, but I wasn't expecting to see the game end on such a depressing note as well. The fact that the characters were all smilling and laughing once they reach the balcony made this even worse as you knew they will find out about Makoto's death in a few seconds. At least we can all agree Koromaru is the best doggo.
Arknights anime got a teaser for the third season and I'm looking forward to it.
