Calm Before The Storm
Days have passed and Y/N spent all of this time at the Shie Hassaikai headquarters, acting like he and the League were ready to completely submit to Overhaul if it meant achieving their goals. By acting completely submissive to Overhaul, he knew he was going against his original plan where he planned to submissive but not as much as he is right now. He had had a slight change of plans when he saw how well being completely submissive to Overhaul worked and decided to keep on acting like this until something will happen.
The h/c haired boy spent a good portion of those last few days with Eri and was in her room with her right now. He had been teaching her how to write for the past hour. From the amount of unopened toys on the floor, Y/N could tell Eri wasn't interested in playing with him so he found other ways to spend time with her. Teaching her how to read and write was among those things. Eri didn't mind it and was in fact interested in learning new things. Eri's trust in him grew larger with each day they spent together as she would sit beside him and timidly talk with him more often.
"Y/N." Eri called out for Y/N, looking up from the piece of paper she had just written something on.
Y/N looked at her questioningly, "Yes?"
Eri put her pen down and slowly pushed the piece of paper over to Y/N, "I'm finished."
"Alright. Let's take a look at this." Y/N smiled at Eri and looked down at the piece of paper she had just pushed towards him. He nodded to himself and shifted his gaze back to Eri, smilling proudly at her. Her handwriting had really improved since he started teaching her how to write as it was far from the best for all the obvious reasons when they first started their lessons. He was certain Mr. Compress would break down if he saw her handwriting when they first started her lessons, "Good job. Your handwriting is getting better with each lesson. You know. I've been thinking. How about we'll try some harder words tommorow. I think you're ready for it."
Eri nodded at him, "Okay."
"We will stick with the easier words for the rest of our lesson today, though. Let's make sure you'll be ready for tommorow." Y/N replied as Eri gave him another nod. He engulfed the piece of paper in the red energy and used his Quirk to move it back to Eri. He chuckled at how awe filled Eri's eyes had become when he used his Quirk. After using it in front of her for the first time and seeing how she reacted to it, he to started to use it move things in front of her as she seemed to like it, "You like apples, don't you? How about you'll write apple for me now? You remember how to write it, right?"
"I do." Eri replied as she looked down at the piece of paper in front of her and started writing the word Y/N had just asked her to write. She paused her writing a few seconds later as she looked up at Y/N, feeling like there was something she had to tell him, "Y/N."
"Yes?" Y/N asked, "Do you need any help? Do you have any problem with this word?"
"No. It's something else." Eri shook her head, setting her pen down on the piece of paper, "Remember what you asked me yesterday after you read me a rhyme? About who I want to be when I grow up?"
"Yes." Y/N nodded in confirmation as he recalled her this question yesterday after reading her a nursery rhyme about growing up. He didn't receive the answer to his question straight away as Eri didn't know how to answer to it. The h/c haired boy didn't press her about it and allowed her to have all the time she needs to come up with the answer. Eri had all the time she needed to figure out the answer. She was still a child after all, "What is it about it? Have you figured out the answer to it?"
Eri nodded in confirmation and revealed the answer she came up with to him, "I think I would like to be someone nice when I grow up. Like you Y/N."
Y/N felt a pang shot through his chest. The knowledge of Eri wanting to be someone like him made him feel emotions he did not know how to explain. There was one thing he was certain about, though. He didn't want Eri to become someone like him. She could only see one part of him. She had no idea about the other part of him, "You don't want to be like me Eri."
"Why?" Eri asked, her voice filled with a mixture of confusion and suprise as she couldn't understand why Y/N wouldn't want her to become someone like him, "You're nice. You're so different from Kai and the others. Your hands are kind. Just like his."
Y/N raised his brow at her choice of the words, "His?"
"He was warm and he didn't hurt me. He said he was a hero, he was dressed all weird." Eri explained as he looked down at the piece of paper and went back to what he was doing a few seconds earlier, "You're just like him."
"I'm no a hero Eri, but I'm happy that I made you happy at least." Y/N replied, patting her head gently as he didn't know what to think of Eri's words. The knowledge she thought so highly of him made him feel happy on the inside, but at the same time it made him feel something completely opposite of this as he knew he wasn't a hero. He was far away from a hero. He swallowed past the lump forming in his throat as spoke to her again, trying to change the subject of the convesation to something else, "You know what Eri? There is something else I've been thinking about today."
Eri titled her head to the side in a curious manner, "What is it?"
"How about I'll introduce you to Toga and Twice tommorow?" Y/N voiced his suggestion to her.
"Toga and Twice?" Eri asked, growing nervous at the thought of meeting Toga and Twice, whoever they were to Gareth. She trusted him, but did not know what kind of people his friends were. She wasted no time when it came to asking him about them, "Are they nice? Like you?"
"Yeah. You don't need to worry about either of them doing something to you. They're my friends." Y/N reassured her as he moved closer to Eri and pulled her close, hugging her tightly to make her feel less nervous at the thought of meeting Twice and Toga, "I told them about you after I started looking out after you and they wanted to meet you ever since."
Eri hugged him back as she looked up at him, giving him a nervous nod of her head. She trusted Y/N and was going to trust his word about his friends, "Okay. I want to meet your friends."
"Alright. I'll bring them over and introduce you to them tommorow." Y/N replied, gladdened Eri was willing to meet Twice and Toga. It meant she was slowly starting to open up to other people and was slowly getting over her fear of them. He knew he will have to inform Twice and Toga to look out around her, though as she knew how easy it was to make her afraid and he didn't want her to be scared while around him.
The door to Eri's room opened a few seconds later, making both Y/N and Eri to look towards him and Kurono walked into the room, "Your day is over, Mask. Leave."
"Alright." Y/N sighed, knowing he couldn't do anything to oppose him if he wanted to keep up the submissive image he was selling Overhaul and his goons otherwise it would ruin everything he was working for with Toga and Twice. He released Eri from the hug and got up from the bed, looking down at her reassuringly, "I'll see you tommorow, Eri."
Eri nodded at him, growing saddened by the fact Y/N was leaving and fearful by the fact Kurono was here, "Okay."
Y/N turned way from Eri and walked out of the room, leaving Kurono alone in the room with Eri as Kurono closed the door as soon as he left him alone with Eri. He out a deep sigh, wishing he hadn't left Eri alone with Kurono but knew he had to allow it to happen. At least right now. He started to make his way towards the staircase in front of him, hoping to reach Twice and Toga soon.
------
Mustard leaned against the wall behind him, sitting on the floor somewhere in the League's hideout as tried to kill his boredom by sketching something in his sketchbook which was something he found himself doing pretty often nowadays. With Y/N, Toga and Twice currently being at the Shie Hassaikai headquarters and the rest of the League busy with their own stuff in the hideout, he was left with nothing else to do and decided to kill his boredom in his favourite way. By drawing in his shetchbook.
He narrowed his eyes at the drawing he was working on right now, allowing himself as his pencil do the work. The drawing he was working on right now was an ugly caricature with two X's replacing his eyes, signalling he was dead. His arms were nowhere to be seen as well in his drawing as well. He drew Overhaul in such a way as it was what he was hoping would happen to him after what he did to Origami, Magne and Mr. Compress.
Words couldn't describe the anger he felt towards Overhaul after Overhaul hurt his fellow members of the League. He knew how he acted around his fellow League and how people would often labell his behavior as the behavior of someone who does not care about his comrades, but he didn't act the way he didn't care. He was acting the way he did because just wasn't used to seeing people other than his parents being friendly to him. Not after his time at junior high. The way Y/N, Origami and Toga approached him in a friendly manner the first time they talked with him just made him feel weird and suspicious on the inside, resulting in him being hostile to them.
This is why he was grateful to League for giving him a second chance following their attack at the summer camp and how all of them agreed to give him a second chance when it came to his behavior. Many people would do their best to stay away from him and yet they agreed to give him a second chance. He knew he still had a long way when it came to improving his behavior, though. The tsundere part of his behaviour Toga loved to tease him about as a way of annoying him was something he knew he had to work on if he wanted to improve his behavior.
"What do you have there? A diary?" A male voice he had immediately recognized sounded through his ears, taking him away from his thoughts and the drawing he was working on right now. It belonged to Dabi.
Mustard looked up from his sketchbook at this scarred young man, "Great. Just the person I wanted to see."
"What?" Dabi asked, keeping his hands in his pockets, "Ain't you happy I came here to talk with you?"
Mustard rolled his eyes, pointing at his deadpan expression with his free hand, "What do you think? I thought my expression and the tone of my voice made it pretty obvious."
Dabi put his hand on his heart, pretending to be hurt by his words, "Ouch. Your words are truly wounding my heart."
"You have a heart?" Mustard felt a smirk growing on his face when he uttered those words. He set his sketchbook aside, making sure to keep it on the page his most recent drawing was on right now and crossed his arms, now fully smirking, "Wow. You can consider me suprised."
"Take it as an important life lesson. Life is full of suprises. Aside from you, I can think of one person outside the League who will learn this lesson in the near future." Dabi replied as Mustard raised his brow at him, wondering who was this person Dabi was talking about. Using this ocassion to his advantage, Dabi quickly reached down and grabbed Mustard's sketchbook with the intention of seeing what he was working on right now.
Mustard's eyes snapped in panic, his smirk fading from his face as he jumped to his feet and reached towards Dabi with the intention of taking his sketchbook away from him, "What the hell? Give it back!"
"Come on. Don't be shy. Share some of your drawings with us. The crazy brat made sure to let us know about it before she left with Y/N and Mask." Dabi replied, refusing to give Mustard his sketchbook back to him until he'll take a look at his new drawing at him. If someone had looked at him and Mustard right now, the said person would think they were siblings and the older sibling was in the process of messing with his younger sibling.
"Dammit Toga." Mustard sighed in frustation, making a mental note to scold Toga about this once she'll come back with Twice and Y/N as he pinched tbe bridge of his nose. Why was everyone looking into his sketchbook without his permission. First it was Toga, then it was Y/N and Origami and now it was Dabi.
Dabi smirked at the younger villain, feeling amused by his frustated expression and took a look into his sketchbook. The scarred villain had to admit one thing to himself as he allowed himself to eye Overhaul's caricature up and down. Mustard's drawing style was really good. He would never say it to him out loud, though, "Aww. How adorable. Looks like you do care about everyone here, after all."
Mustard's face flushed, feeling himself becoming embarassed by Dabi seeing his drawing of Overhaul, "Shut up."
"Did you really have to draw him with missing arms, though." Dabi asked as he turned the sketchbook around and gestured to Overhaul's missing arms, "Did you draw him like this because you're angry at him for what he did to Weaponsmith, Magne and Mr. Compress? This is just adorable. Are you trying to be like boss by taking his limbs away or what?"
"Oh, really?" Mustard crossed his arms, feeling how his smirk was slowly going back to his face as he knew he had came up with a good retort to Dabi's words, "What about you and those blue flames of yours? Are you trying to be like Endeavor or what?
"...What the fuck did you just say?" Dabi asked after a few seconds of silence as his mind processed what Mustard had just said, looking like someone had just slapped him across the face as his demeanor completely changed. It suddenly became way more threatening and angry.
"Are you deaf or something? I compared you to Endeavor." Mustard replied.
Dabi glared at Mustard, looking both deeply angered and offended by the comparisment to Endeavor, "You better watch your mouth, you fucking brat."
Mustard raised his brow at him, completely taken by suprise by his reaction, "What the hell is wrong to you? Both of us insult each other all the time and you're suddenly angry about it after I compared to Endeavor? Is he your limit or what?"
"He's the greatest fake of all of them!" Dabi shouted, gritting his teeth in anger as Mustard was suprised was suprised by the amount of hatred he saw in Dabi's eyes when his fellow villain from the League uttered those words, "Someone like him doesn't deserve to take All Might's place as the new number one hero! He must pay for everything he has done!"
"Okay. Okay." Mustard raised his hands defensively, realizing he may have gone a little too far from Dabi's reaction, "Just calm down. I had no idea comparing you to a hero you consider a fake would trigger you this much." An apologetic look formed on his face, "I'm sorry. I didn't think it would trigger you so much. I'll remember not to compare you to a hero you consider a fake in the future."
Dabi proceeded to glare at Mustard for a few more seconds, seeing his apology was genuine. He let out a sigh, tossing Mustard's sketchbook to the floor and turned away from him, beginning to walk away from the younger villain, "Whatever. Just leave me alone, you stupid brat."
"You're the one who approached me and started this conversation in the first place." Mustard pointed out this conversation was started when Dabi started teasing him about his shetchbook. Dabi didn't answer to his retort or acknowledge it. He just proceeded to walk away from Mustard. The younger villain shook his head as he watched Dabi walk away from him, "Jeez. What's wrong with him? Both of us insult each other all the time and this is what triggers him? I guess I should scratch comparing him to the heroes he considers 'unworthy' off the list of the insults if I want to keep myself in good health."
He once again shook his head as Dabi walked out of his view, vanishing somewhere within the League's hideout. He turned away from the direction Dabi had just walked off into and brought his attention to his sketchbook which was laying on the floor after Dabi tossed it to the floor in an angered manner. He walked over to it and picked it up from the floor. Wanting to shift his attention from Dabi's sudden angered outburst to something else, he went back to what he was doing before the scarred villain approached him.
"Kataoka-kun?" Spinner's voice called out for him just as he was about to go back to his drawing.
The younger villain looked up towards the source of the voice and saw Spinner walking towards him. He looked at him with a questioning look on his face, "Do you need something Spinner?"
"Just came here to talk." Spinner replied, moving closer to Mustard, "I wanted to approach you sooner, but I overheard you talking with Dabi and wanted to leave you alone with your conversation."
Mustard nodded in understanding, "I see."
"What happened during your conversation?" Spinner wanted to know, "When Dabi walked past me, he looked angry."
"He got angry at me after I compared his fire powers to Endeavor. Just give him a few minutes to cool off." Mustard explained, shrugging his shoulders. He looked at his fellow villain questioningly as soon as he finished his explanation to why Dabi was angry, "What do you want to talk with me? I thought you'd be with Shigaraki right now."
"Shigaraki wanted to be left alone as he is busy with something right now." Spinner replied, "I came here to talk with you about something Toga-chan told us about before she left with Twice and Y/N." An interested look grew on his face, "Do you really wanted to be a mangaka?"
"Toga. We really need to tongue about your loose tongue." Mustard shook his head, letting out a sigh, "To answer your question. Yes. I thought about becoming a mangaka before I became a villain. It was actually my second career choice after a Pro-Hero."
"You wanted to be a Pro-Hero?" Spinner asked, suprised, "What happened to make you become a villain if you wanted to be a Pro-Hero?"
"People happened." Mustard gave him an honest answer as Spinner nodded in understanding, knowing it was the only answer he needed to get to understand what happened, "Why are you so interested about me thinking about becoming a mangaka in the past?"
"If you wanted to become a mangaka, then this means you like anime and manga? Right?" Spinner wanted to be sure.
"Yes." Mustard nodded in confirmation, "I thought this made this quite obvious. Why are you so interested in learning about it?"
"I just got curious. I also remembered how you knew what I was talking about when I compared the Nomu to Chainsaw Man before we attacked the summer camp." Spinner explained, "I've been trying to find someone I could talk about anime with. I tried to talk about anime with Y/N and Shigaraki after we bonded over video games back in the bar, but neither of them watched much anime in their lives. I'm planning on changing that after Y/N will come back from the yakuza with Toga and Twice, though. Still can't decide if I should show them Demon Slayer or Attack on Titan, though. I think those are one of the best options if you want to get someone interested in anime."
"I see." Mustard nodded in understanding, "So. About what anime do you want to talk about?"
Spinner smiled at the younger villain, sitting down on the floor across from Mustard, "Just choose whatever popular anime will pop into your mind. There's a high chance I have already watched."
Mustard raised his brow at him, "Really?"
"Trust me. I had more than enough time to watch anime shows before I was inspired to join the League by Stain's appearance." Spinner reassured him, his voice breaking for a split second when he uttered those words.
Mustard nodded in understanding, sensing it must have been a touchy subject for Spinner, "I see. So. How about we talk about Demon Slayer and Attack on Titan? Maybe I'll help you decide which anime will be good for you to show Shigaraki and Y/N after we'll take care of Overhaul."
Spinner nodded at him, liking his idea for the discussion, "Sounds good."
------
It was morning in Japan and another day in the Shie Hassaikai headquarters had just begun for Y/N, Toga and Twice. The h/c haired boy pushed the door to his shared room with Toga and Twice open and walked into the said room, holding a tray with three plates with the breakfast food he had gotten for himself and his fellow villains from the League in his hands. After arriving at the Shie Hassaikai came up with a system when it came to getting their meals. He would get them breakfast, Toga would get them lunch and Twice would get them dinner.
Y/N looked around the room to see where Toga and Twice were right. It didn't took him long to notice his fellow villains from the League. Toga was playing with her knife and Twice was smoking his morning cigarette, with the bottom half of his face uncovered. The h/c haired boy nodded to himself, knowing this meant he won't have to look for them as he stepped further into the room.
Toga pushed her attention away from her knife and shifted her gaze to Y/N. She smiled at him, licking her lips at the view of the food he had brought her and Twice, "There you are Y/N. I just couldn't wait for you to bring us breakfast~!"
"Man! I'm so angry I could eat a horse!" Twice said as he tossed his half finished cigarette to the floor and smashed it with his boot to put it out. He got up from his bed and walked over to the small table in the corner of the room where the three of them usually ate their meals at. He took his seat on the left side of the table, sitting down on the chair next to the wall, "Take my food if you want to! I'm not hungry at all!"
"What's for breakfast today?" Toga asked as she followed Twice's example. She jumped up from her bed and walked over to the table, taking her seat on the right side across from Twice.
Y/N made his way to the table and set the tray down on the table, "That breakfast is what you're seeing right now. At least the cook is not cursing under his breath whenever I go to collect breakfast for us."
"Same here." Twice nodded in agreement as Y/N picked up the plate with his breakfast from the tray and handed his food to him, "He wasn't as hostile to me yesterday as he was the first time I talked with him."
"Do you think he's getting used to us being here?" Toga asked as Y/N handed her breakfast to her.
"Probably." Y/N nodded in confirmation, putting the last plate in front of himself as he took his seat next to Toga, "The way how we act around the yakuza must have something to do with it as well."
Toga sighed, "I just hate how we have to act submissive around them after what they did to Origami-chan, Bis Sis Magne and Compress. I just wish we could just get this over with and go back to the rest."
"Me too." Y/N nodded in agreement, losing the times of how many times he had to keep himself patient whenever he was around Overhaul or Mimic, "At least everything is according to the plan for now and Overhaul showed me how he makes his bullets." He sighed, "I just wish the way he makes those bullets wasn't as disgusting as it is."
"Um, guys. We should dig into our breakfast before it gets cold." Twice pointed out, gesturing to his own breakfast, "Stop talking you brats! I'm trying to enjoy my breakfast!"
Y/N and Toga nodded at Twice, knowing he was right. Not wasting any time, the three villains from the League dig into their breakfast and ate it in silence. As Y/N proceeded to eat his breakfast, he lost himself in his thoughts regarding one topic. This topic was something he was thinking ever since he found himself at the Shie Hassaikai headquarters with Toga and Twice. This topic was Eri.
"Y/N." Twice called out for him.
Y/N shook his head, pushing himself out of his thoughts and looked at Twice questioningly, "Yes, Twice?"
"Are you alright? You're not eating your breakfast." Twice expressed his concern for Y/N, pointing at his plate. Y/N was still far away from finishing his breakfast, unlike him and Toga as they were mostly done.
"Are you thinking about Eri-chan again?" Toga wanted to know.
Y/N nodded in confirmation, "Yes."
Toga looked at him questioningly, "Have you decided what are we going to do with her? You've been thinking about it since you filled us in about the way Overjerk make his bullets."
Y/N shook his head, "No. I'm still thinking about it."
"Well. I'm certain you already know what I think about it." Toga said as Y/N nodded at her, knowing Toga had been wanting to take Eri with them since he filled her and Twice in about her, "The League will keep her safe from everything Overjerk will try to do with her. I just know Compress and Big Sis Magne will love having her around. The same goes for Origami-chan. Especially after she will her what happened with her Quirk." A teasing look formed on his face, "You and Origami-chan could act at her parents if we'll bring her into the League and I could be her cool aunt."
Y/N's eyes widened at Toga's suggestion, feeling his face heat up at her teasing, "Parents? Toga-chan. Me and Origami are too young to be parents. Did you forgot we're still teenagers? Besides. We're not even in a relationship. We're just friends."
Toga chuckled, knowing something Y/N did not know, "For now!"
Y/N blushed at her words, "Toga-chan. Can you stop with your teasing for now? This isn't the time and conversation for it."
"Right." An apologetic look formed on Toga's face, "I'm sorry Y/N. Just saw the opportunity and couldn't help myself."
"Is bringing Eri-chan into the League a good idea, though?" Twice asked.
Toga looked at him questioningly, "What do you mean Jin-kun? Are you trying to we should leave her with Overjerk?"
"No. This is not what I'm trying to say." Twice instantly shook his head at Toga's question, "Are you stupid or what? Why would I want to leave her with him of all people?"
Y/N looked at Twice with at thoughtful look on his face, "I think Twice is trying to say our lifestyle can be too dangerous for Eri."
"Exactly." Twice wasted no time when it came to confirmation what he meant by his words, "The Yakuza sucks, they're nothing but thugs and murderers. I don't want her to be around them for any longer!"
"To be honest I've been thinking the same thing." Y/N admitted, voicing his agreement with Twice, "Eri had already suffered enough by Overhaul's hands and I don't want to put her in more danger by making her part of our lifestyle. What happened recently to Origami, Magne and Mr. Compress was a perfect example of how dangerous our lifestyle can get and I don't want her to put her in more danger."
"I see. I can see your point." Toga nodded in understanding, letting out a sigh. As much as she didn't want to admit it, she saw a point of Y/N and Twice's way of thinking, "What about you Y/N? Will you be babysitting Eri-chan today too?"
"Yes. I was planning to head straight to her room after breakfast." Y/N nodded in confirmation, "With this matter brought up by you, there is something I would like to talk with you two."
"What is it?" Twice asked, "Save it to yourself!"
"I want to introduce you two to Eri today." Y/N replied as Toga's eye lit up with excitement, "I talked with her yesterday about it right after Kurono came in and told to leave. She told she wants to meet you." He looked between them with a questioning look on his face, "So. This is why I want to ask you. Will you join me today when I'll go to see her after breakfast?"
Toga immediately nodded her head at his question to show him she wanted to join him, "Yes. This will be so much fun. I've been wanting to met her since you told me and Jin-kun about her!"
"I'll join you too!" Twice nodded as well, "Are you crazy? Why would I want to be around a brat?"
"Alright." Y/N smiled at his fellow members from the League and looked down at his breakfast, "We will go to her after we will finish our breakfast. Remember to be careful and quiet on our way to her room, though. Overhaul may not be a fan of the idea of me bringing you to see Eri with me and I don't want him to find out about this."
Twice and Toga nodded at him, going back to their food as well. It didn't took them long to finish their breakfast. It took them only a few minutes. Upon finishing their breakfast, they did exactly like they planned and left their room. Y/N started walking the direction of Eri's room as Twice and Toga walked closely behind him, following his directions as they unlike Y/N had no idea where Eri's room was located within the headquarters of Shie Hassaikai. All of them made sure to as quiet and sneaky as they could as they didn't want Overhaul to know Y/N had brought Toga and Twice with him to see Eri.
They arrived at their destination a few moments later and Y/N unlocked the door and pushed it open, "Eri. It's me."
Eri's eyes lit up slightly as she saw Y/N walk into her room from her bed, "Y/N!"
"I'm glad to see you too." Y/N smiled at her, stepping further into the room as he proceeded to make his way towards Eri's bed. He was followed by Twice and Toga. There was something off about Eri's eyes, though. It was something Y/N and his associates were yet to notice.
Twice looked over Y/N's shoulder, seeing Eri on her bed, "Is this Eri-chan?"
Eri's eyes became more fearful at the view of Toga and Twice, "W-Who are they?"
"Don't worry, Eri. They mean no harm to you." Y/N reassured Eri as he sat down on the bed next to Eri, "Remember my friends that I mentioned to you yesterday before we parted ways?" Eri nodded at him, showing him she remembered their conversation, "You're looking at them right now. I'd like you to meet Twice and Toga."
"Hi there, Eri! I'm glad to have finally meet you!" Twice waved at Eri in a friendly manner, "Can I go now? Looking after a kid is boring as hell!"
Eri looked at Twice with a confused look on her face, confused by his contradiction.
Toga stopped in front of Eri and leaned closer to her, showing the younger girl just how excited she was to get to know her better, "Hi, Eri-chan! I'm Toga! Toga Himiko. I'm so excited to meet you! I've been wanting to come down here since Y/N told me and Jin-kun about you! Can we be friends? You're so adorable I could just cut you up!"
Eri's eyes widened in fear at the choice of Toga's words, "C-Cut me?"
"Toga-chan. Remember what I told you on the way here." Y/N reminded Toga of how she should watch out with her words around Eri if she didn't want to make the girl afraid of her.
Toga laughed sheepishly, "Right. Sorry Y/N."
Eri shifted her gaze to Y/N, the fearful look staying on her face, "Will she cut me, Y/N?"
"No. Eri. She won't." Y/N shook his head with a reassuring look on his face, "You'll have to excuse her. She tends to use words like this to express things she likes. Don't worry. She won't hurt you. It was just her way of saying she likes you."
"Okay." Eri nodded at him, still nervous because of what Toga told her a few seconds earlier. She decided to stay strong and give Toga a chance as Y/N seemed to trust her and she trusted Y/N, though. She lowered her gaze to the floor, her face growing saddened. Y/N, Toga and Twice exchanged worried glances with each other after seeing this from her,
"Is everything alright, Eri?" Y/N asked in concern as Twice and Toga nodded at his question. All of them wanted to know what was wrong with her. Eri remained silent, "You know you can tell me everything, right?"
Toga nodded at his words, looking at Eri with concern written all over her face, "We won't judge, Eri-chan. Just let it out."
"Come on, kiddo. I know you can do this." Twice gave Eri an encouraging thumbs up, his mask hiding the concerned look he had on his face right now.
"I-It..." Eri's started to say in a shaky and tired voice. It was when Y/N noticed something about her. There were pinpricks on her arms. She cried out a few seconds later as she voice completely cracked, her knees starting to shake and her eyes watering up, "P-Pl-Please d-don't go. He-he's- I'm- please, I..."
Y/N looked at Eri with pity written all over his face, realizing something must have happened after he left Eri with Kurono yesterday as Twice and Toga exchanged saddened glances with each other. Words couldn't describe how terrible it made him feel on the inside. The h/c haired boy slowly wrapped his arms around her, giving her a comforting hug as he wanted to do whatever he could right now to comfort her. Eri suddenly felt warm again. Like she was with a hero again. Like she was being comforted by Y/N again when she felt terrible about herself.
"Remember what I always tell you whenever you're feeling down, Eri. You don't deserve any of this and you're not a curse." Y/N told her as Twice and Toga stayed silent. Both of them debated internally if they should say something as well. They ultimately decided to stay silent, figuring out they should let Y/N speak as he knew Eri the longest of all of them, "One day. I promise you'll be safe from Overhaul and will be as far away from him as possible. Maybe not today and maybe not tommorow but one day, you'll be safe. If anyone will try to hurt you again, I'll do everything in my power to protect you."
Eri looked up at him, "You promise?"
Y/N nodded at her, offering her a reassuring smile, "I promise."
"O-Okay." Eri nodded back at him, snuggling back into his embrace. Both of them stayed like this for a few moments as Twice and Toga stared at them silently.
"You know what, Eri-chan?" Toga asked, breaking the silence in the room as Eri looked up at her. When she looked at the blond haired girl, she saw no ill intention in her eyes, "How about we'll do something to make you feel better. Or maybe we'll braid each other's hair? Your beautiful long hair will be perfect for this."
Eri raised her brow at the term, "Braid?"
"You don't know what that means?" Toga asked as Eri shook her head, "How about I'll explain it to you then?"
Eri looked up at Y/N questioningly, with curiosity regarding the meaning of 'braiding' evident on her face, "Y/N? Can I?"
Y/N smiled at Eri, nodding at her after seeing the curiosity in her eyes, "Of course you can, Eri. You don't need to worry about my friend doing anything to you. How about we'll take a break from teaching you how to write and read today and teach you a few other things instead."
"So what do you think, Eri?" Toga asked, "Can I show you how to braid your hair?"
Eri shifted her gaze from Y/N to Toga and nodded, "Okay."
"Great." Toga smiled widely at her reply as as she undid her buns, allowing her long blond hair to go freely past her shoulders. She looked between Y/N and Twice, seeing the way they were looking at her right now, "What?"
"Nothing. It's just I'm used to seeing you with your buns. Seeing you with your hair let down is something new." Y/N explained himself to her.
"I couldn't have put it myself, Y/N! Your is really pretty Toga-chan!" Twice nodded in agreement, "Your hair looks like a hay! Cut it shorter!"
"If you say so." Toga chuckled at their explanation and sat down on the bed next to Eri and Y/N, "Y/N. Could you move over a bit so I can sit behind Eri?
"Of course. I'll give you as much space as you need for this." Y/N nodded as he released Eri from his embrace and got up from the bed. After getting up from the bed, he looked down at Eri, "I'll leave you with Toga for now. I need to talk with Twice about something while she will teach you how to braid your hair. Don't worry. I'll still be in the room if you'll need something."
"Okay." Eri nodded at him as Toga moved closer to Eri, finding herself behind her.
"Alright. Let's start." Toga smiled, putting her hands on Eri's long hair as Twice and Y/N went to the corner of the room where they would have their conversation. Eri tensed up a bit as she felt Toga touch her hair. She calmed down a second later after feeling how gentle Toga was with her grasp, "Making braids is quite easy. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it quickly." She sighed, "A shame Origami-chan isn't here with us right now. I'm sure she would love to teach you how to do it with me."
"Origami?" Eri asked, remembering Y/N mentioning this person to her earlier, "Is she Y/N's friend? Just like you and Twice?"
"Yes. She's my bestie." Toga nodded in confirmation, "I see Y/N told you about her."
Eri nodded, "He told me she is someone very close to him."
Toga smiled with an interested look on her face, "Really? What else did he told you about her?"
As Toga continued to show Eri how to braid her hair, Y/N and Twice made their way to the corner of the room. Both of them leaned against the wall behind them, standing next to each other and allowed themselves to watch how Toga braided Eri's hair. Twice shook his head sadly, shaking his head once he set his eyes on Eri as he felt horrible for the little girl.
"I hate this guy so much." He said, referring to Overhaul, "I love him! He's the best."
"Me too." Y/N agreed with him, letting out a sigh himself, "I lost the count of how many times I had to stop myself from doing something to him whenever he called me to his office after we started staying here. The last time when I had to be so patient with someone was before I became the Mask."
"What is it you wanted to talk about with me?" Twice nodded in understanding, "Save it for yourself! I'm not interested in talking with you!"
"You remember the guy who gave us a tour shorty after we arrived here?" Y/N asked, revealing to Twice what he wanted to talk with him about, "Rappa was his name if I remember correctly."
"Of course I remember him. Toga-chan got the idea to call Overhaul 'Overjerk' from him. I even talked with him after Overhaul made me take his measurements." Twice nodded, "I don't remember him! Who are you talking about? What kind of name is Rappa in the first place?"
"Alright." Y/N nodded at Twice, gladdened to see he remembered who Rappa was and managed to have a conversation with him during their stay at the Shie Hassaikai headquarters. He unlike Twice didn't have a chance to talk with him again after their first interaction, "If you talked with him, then it means you know what his Quirk is right?"
"Yes. I was told what it was when I was taking his measurements." Twice nodded in confirmation and raised his brow underneath his mask, "Why are you asking me about him?"
"I've been thinking about something lately." Y/N began his answer as Twice listened to him in a curious manner, "If he calls Overhaul the way he does, and says it quite openly to everyone here, then he clearly is not a fan of him. I've been thinking how we could make it work for the League."
-------
Origami let out a soft exhale, keeping her pistol aimed at the glass bottles in front of her as she was practicing her aim with her new arm. She didn't want Mustard to help her in this practise session as she at first wanted to learn how she her aim was doing with her new prosthetic arm. Thankfully, her shooting skills didn't become worse after the loss of her right arm and it meant she won't have to start her shooting lessons from zero. She lowered her smoking pistol, nodding in a both relieved and approving manner.
"I see you have been practising hard." Mr. Compress voice rang through her ears as soon she finished this rather brief test of her skooting skills.
Origami turned around to look at him with a questioning look forming on her face, holstering her pistol, "Atsuhiro-kun? Can I ask what are you doing here?"
"I'm just checking on you." Mr. Compress replied, showing Origami he had no problem with her question, "I overheard you firing your pistol so I figured out you and Kataoka-kun were having another one of your shooting lessons." He looked around himself, seeing Mustard was nowhere near Origami, "Speaking of which. Where's Kataoka-kun?"
"He is not here right now." Origami responded, rubbing the back of her head, "I didn't ask him to help me for this shooting lesson as I wanted to see if my shooting skills got worse after I lost my arm."
"I see." Mr. Compress nodded in understanding, "So. How did it go? Have you skills gotten worse, because of your wounds?"
"Fortunely they didn't." Origami shook her head, relief becoming evident in her voice as a small relieved smile grew on her face, "I'm just glad all the lessons and time Kataoka-kun spent in teaching me how to shoot wasn't for nothing. I just didn't want his time to go to waste."
"I'm glad to hear it." Mr. Compress nodded. From the sound of his voice, Origami could tell he was smilling underneath his mask, "I don't think you need to worry about Kataoka-kun thinking you wasted his time if your shooting skils were affected by our wound, though. I'm certain he would be understanding of it."
"I know. It's just better safe than sorry, right?" Origami responded and turned away from him to look at the shooting range she had arranged for herself, "Alright. I think I should go back to this shooting lesson. Thank you for checking on me."
"How about you take a break from this shooting lesson and share some tea with me?" Mr. Compress offered, "I just made myself some tea from the least leaves of my favourite tea and I think it should be enough for more than one person."
Origami looked over her shoulder at Origami with a thoughtful look on her face. She turned around to look at him and nodded her head after making her choice about her offer, "Sure. I did tell you I will share some tea with you some other time, right?"
"That you did." Mr. Compress chuckled as he turned away from Origami and pushed himself into walk, "Alright. Let's go."
Origami nodded at Mr. Compress and followed him towards the place in their hideout where they would have the tea. They made their way to the table with a tea set on it which was their destination a few moments later. Mr. Compress took his seat on the right side of the table and motioned Origami to come closer as Origami nodded at him and took her seat across from him, waiting for him to give her the tea.
Mr. Compress poured some tea into an empty glass and pushed it over to Origami, "Here you go, Origami. I hope you'll like it."
"Thank you." Origami replied as she took the glass from him and lifted it up to her mouth, before a taking sip from it. Her eyes widened a few seconds later as she looked at Mr. Compress with a smile on her face, "It's really good."
"I know right?" Mr. Compress replied, "I always bought it whenever I managed to save some money. Too bad it wasn't very often, though. I loved my job as an entertainer, but there were many times when it wasn't paying me well."
"I see." Origami nodded in understanding, beginning to assume Mr. Compress must have had some problem with money in the past from what he just told her, "Why did you bought it now? From what you just said to me, I assume this tea doesn't belong to the cheap types."
"I just figured out the League coming together again after what happened at Camino Ward was a good occasion for me to buy it as a way of celebrating it." Mr. Compress explained, "From your reaction to it, I can see I made the right choice."
Origami giggled, "You surely did."
"I see you two are enjoying yourself." Magne's voice sounded behind Origami. Origami and Mr. Compress looked over to the source of her voice and saw her standing behind them with a smile on her face.
Origami smiled at the view of her friend, "Hi, Magne."
"Ah, welcome Magne." Mr. Compress nodded at her, tipping his hat and pointed at his tea set, "Would you like to join us? There's enough tea for all of us."
"Sure. Thanks for the offer." Magne replied as she walked over to the table and sat down next to Origami. Mr. Compress nodded at her and poured her some tea, before pushing the glass to her. Magne picked up the glass and tried to the tea, reacting similary to how Origami reacted when she tasted, "This is really good."
Origami chuckled, "I know right? I reacted the same way to it."
Magne looked at Mr. Compress questioningly, "How did you come across this tea in the first place?"
Mr. Compress tipped his hat, letting out a chuckle, "What can I say. A gentleman such as myself needs to know where to buy a good tea."
"If you say so mister Gentleman." Magne chuckled, putting her glass down on the table. She looked between Mr. Compress and Origami, her smile fading away from her face when she set her eyes on their prosthetic arms. She let out a sigh, knowing it was time to tell them something she was wanting to tell them since their first meeting with Overhaul, "Listen you two. There's something I need to tell you."
Origami looked at her friend with a questioning look on her face, "What is it, Magne?"
Magne shifted her gaze between them with an apologetic and guilty look on his face, "I just want to say I'm sorry."
Origami looked at her with a confused look on her face, "You're sorry?"
Mr. Compress raised his brow underneath his mask, suprised by her sudden apology, "What are you apologizing for, Magne?"
"I'm sorry for what happened to you two." Magne explained as Origami and Mr. Compress silently listened to everything she had to say to them, "I feel like the situation we found ourselves with the yakuza is my fault." She sighed, "The worst part about it is that Twice blames himself for all of this. It's not his fault everything turned out the way the way it did. He just wanted to help the League expand. If there is one person who is to blame for all of this, it's me. Not him."
Origami reached her hand towards Magne, her expression softening as she put her hand on her shoulder in an attempt to make her feel better, "Magne. You don't need to apologize to us for what happened during our first meeting with Overhaul."
"No. I need to." Magne shook her head, her apologetic and guilty look staying on her face as Origami and Mr. Compress could see just how guilty she was feeling about this from the tone of her voice, "If it wasn't for me stepping out and charging to attack Overhaul, then none of this would have happen and you still would have your arms. You only charged at Overhaul, because you saw what he did to me. If I hadn't stepped out of line and stayed where I was supposed to, then you two wouldn't have charged at Overhaul and lose your arms in the process."
"Magne. You shouldn't blame yourself for this." Origami replied, "I never blamed you for what happened and I'm certain Atsuhiro-kun never blamed you for what happened to his arm either."
"Exactly." Mr. Compress agreed with everything Origami had just said to Magne, "I've never blamed you for what happened to my arm either as I know you did what you did in good faith. Just like I don't blame Twice for bringing in Overhaul as I know he did it in good faith. If there is one person to blame for what happened to us, it's Overhaul and only him. No one from our organization is to blame for this situation and you shouldn't think otherwise."
"I see." Magne nodded in understanding, feeling slightly better about herself and feeling how her feelings of guilt were growing smaller, "Thank you for being understanding with me and listening to what I had to say. I really appreciate it. I've been wanting to get off my chest since Okumura-san treated our wounds."
"You're welcome, Magne." Mr. Compress replied, tipping his hat, "All of us are members of the same organizations. We should help ourselves whenever someone is feeling down, right?"
"I'm sure you would do the same to us if one of us would be feeling down about something." Origami added, "Just like you and Toga-chan helped me in one case."
"In one case?" Mr. Compress asked, "Was this case about your relationship with Y/N?"
Origami blushed as soon as she heard those words, burying her head in her hands, "Was it really so obvious?"
Magne chuckled, her guilty expression fading from her face as she watched the interaction between Mr. Compress and Origami. With this talk after her, she just had to talk with Twice after he'll come back with Y/N and Toga. She was glad both of them didn't blame her for what happened and it made her feel slightly better about herself. Some of her feelings of guilt still remained within her, though. Those feelings were caused by the fact Origami was still a teenager. Despite the dark green haired girl telling her she did not blame her for this and reassuring her she only blamed Overhaul for what happened to her arm, she still couldn't get rid of the blame she felt because of her friend losing her arm.
She nodded to herself, clenching her good remaining hand as she made a promise to herself, "Even if you don't blame me for this, I'll make this up to you somehow Origami-chan. I promise..."
"You know. I just realized something." Mr. Compress said, having come up with an idea for discussion he knew would lighten up the mood between them, "With the three of us having prosthetic arms, we can form a secret grouping within our organization."
"A secret grouping?" Origami raised her brow at Mr. Compress' suggestion.
Mr. Compress nodded in confirmation, "Yes. It could be a grouping of one armed people, just like the three of us."
Magne let out a short chuckle, "I don't think it will be easy to maintain this grouping a secret, considering how many members the League has. I'm sure someone will find out about it one way to another."
"Perharps you're right Magne or maybe you're not. There's only one way to find out." Mr. Compress replied as he shifted his gaze between Origami and Magne, "Well. Does either of you have an idea how we should call our secret grouping?"
-----
Y/N pushed the door open and walked into the training grounds of the Shie Hassaika headquarters. Their time with Eri had come to an end today and all three villains left her room, making sure to say their goodbyes to them. Y/N had to leave Eri's room earlier than usual today, because he didn't want anyone to walk in on Twice and Toga being in Eri's room and find out he had brought Toga and Twice to see her today with him without telling anyone as he knew how angry Overhaul would be angry at him if he found out and it was something he wanted to avoid happening.
Eri was saddened by the fact Y/N had to leave her earlier than usual today, but understood he had to do it to stop Overhaul from getting angry at him for bringing his friends to see her. The young girl seemed to like Toga and Twice's company after realizing they really meant no harm to her and even asked them if they will come with Y/N tommorow. Twice and Toga they said they would try to visit her again with Y/N, but knew they couldn't tell her it would be tomorrow for security reasons and the risk of Overhaul finding out.
The black looked around himself as soon as he walked into the training grounds as Toga and Twice followed him into the place. After leaving Eri's room together, the three of them focused on their next task which was finding Rappa and putting the plan Y/N had told Twice about when Toga was teaching Eri how to braid. The training grounds were the first place they visited as according to Twice this is where they should expect Rappa to be.
He was right. It wasn't long until Y/N's eyes caught the sight of Rappa. He wasn't alone, though. A man with spiky hair of a pale color was with him. Y/N remembering seeing this man after he arrived at the Shie Hassaika headquarters. His name was Hekiji Tengai. According to Twice, he was always close to Rappa and was acting as his babysitter because of Rappa having a tendency to pick up a fight with everyone. Considering the first thing Y/N had ever heard from Rappa was an offer to fight him, the h/c haired boy wasn't suprised by it.
"Rappa! Tengai! Hi there!" Twice called out for the said two members fo the yakuza, waving his hand at them as Rappa and Tengai looked in his direction and saw him walking towards them with Toga and Y/N, "Don't talk with me or them! We're not here to talk with you!"
"Twice." Tengai nodded at Twice, ackowledging his presence as Twice, Toga and Y/N walked over to him and Rappa, "Is there something we can help you with?"
"We came here because we or rather Y/N wants to talk with Rappa." Twice explained, pointing at Y/N.
Rappa looked at Y/N questioningly, "What do you want?"
"Remember the offer you made me about sparring back when I and my associates arrived at your headquarters?" Y/N revealed the topic of the conversation he wanted to have with Rappa as Rappa nodded, feeling himself growing excited and hopeful after seeing the direction this conversation was going, "Are you still interested in it?"
Rappa pumped his fist excitedly, ready to fight Y/N right here right now, "You bet I am! When do we start? Now?"
"Yes." Y/N nodded at him, making Rappa's excitement grow
Tengai looked at Y/N questioningly, "Are you certain about it, Mask? I must warn you on behalf of Master Overhaul that Rappa can be brutal when he's fighting someone."
"I appreciate the concern, but you don't need to worry about this being a split second decision." Y/N nodded at him, shifting his gaze to him for a second, "I had more than enough time to think about it and I'm more than certain about it."
Tengai nodded in understanding, "I see."
Y/N shifted his gaze back to Rappa, "Now, Rappa. Where we will spar?"
"Over there. Overjerk always makes me train there to make sure I won't make any mess in the training grounds." Rappa replied, pointing behind him as Y/N looked in the direction he was pointing at, seeing a massive free space not too far from them. It reminded him of his training grounds in All For One's hideout where he was learning how to use his Quirk to make himself floar, "Alright. Let's not waste time. Let's go brawl!"
"Remember not to do anything to kill him or seriously injure him." Tengai reminded Rappa, readying himself to use his Quirk at any moment to prevent Y/N from getting any serious injures during his sparring with Rappa, "Master Overhaul wouldn't want anything to happen to any from the League by such a trivial thing like this sparring."
"Fine." Rappa complied, letting out a short sigh as he turned around and pushed himself into walk towards the sparring grounds, "Come on, Mask."
"I'll join you in a second. I just need to take care of something with my associates." Y/N replied as he took his mask off his shoulder and held it out to Toga. Rappa nodded at him and proceeded to make his way towards the place where the fight between him and Y/N will take place, "Toga-chan. Can you hold my hand when I'll be sparring with Rappa? I really like this mask and wouldn't want it to break during during this sparring."
"Sure." Toga nodded at Y/N, taking the mask from him, "Good luck, Y/N. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you."
Y/N smiled at her gratefully as he shifted his gaze to Twice for a second and whispered to him, "Remember about the plan I told you about when Toga-chan was teaching Eri how to braid. Wait for my signal and act."
"Understood! Kick his butt Y/N!" Twice gave him a thumbs up, nodding in understanding.
"I'll do my best." Y/N nodded at him, letting out a sigh as he started to feel slightly nervous on the inside when he realized he was seconds away from his fight with Rappa. He should have realized something like this would happen sooner or later, "I just hope I don't screw something up as this fight can go against my favor very easily."
"Don't worry, Y/N. I'm sure you'll do fine!" Twice patted him in an encouraging manner, "Get a grip, brat!"
Toga nodded in agreement, smilling at Y/N, "Jin-kun is right, Y/N. Everything will be fine. You should put more faith in yourself."
Y/N smiled at them, appreciating their words of support, "Thank you, you two. Let's hope I'll manage to put your words into action."
"Mask? Are you coming?" Rappa asked, having just arrived at the sparring grounds.
Y/N turned to look at him and nodded, "Yeah! I'm coming."
He pushed himself into walk towards Rappa right after as Toga and Twice wished him luck during his sparring with Rappa for one last time. He arrived on the other part of the sparring grounds a few seconds later and stopped in his tracks, he and Rappa now standing in an equal distance from each other. Red energy started to circle around Y/N's hands as both of them started doing some final preparations before their fight. Or rather Y/N was making some final preparations as Rappa was already more than ready to fight him.
Their fight started a few seconds later as Tengai announced the start of it from where walked over to with Toga and Twice to give themselves a better look at the fight. Y/N and Rappa immediately reacted to this. The two villains from different organizations charged at each other and did their first moves against each other as they neared each other. Rappa swung his fist at Y/N as Y/N used his to make himself float above Rappa, dodging his attack in the process.
The h/c haired boy knew he had to be quick in his actions whenever Rappa would try to strike him as he looked down at Rappa from the air. He learned what kind of Quirk Rappa had from Twice. Rappa's Quirk allowed him rotate his shoulders at incredible speed, allowing him to hit his targets with a barrage of powerful punches. He knew he had to be careful as only one attack from Rappa would end this fight.
Rappa looked up at him, yelling at him to come down as Y/N looked around himself, trying to find something he could grab with his Quirk and throw at his opponent. After taking a brief look around himself, he realized there wasn't much he could throw at Rappa. The gym equipment from the gym section of the training grounds was the only thing he knew he could throw at Rappa with his Quirk.
It was exactly what he did as he reached his right hand out towards the gym equipment, making sure to keep himself above the ground with his left hand. Just as Rappa was about to demand him to come down to the ground, something slammed into him from the side. Rappa shifted his attention from Y/N to look in the direction this item came from, convinced either Toga or Twice had tossed it at him as way of helping their comrade.
Much to his suprise, he saw neither Twice or Toga tossed it at him as they were standing next to Tengai. He turned away from them and looked around himself, seeing much more gym equipment flying towards him, with red energy surrounding every item. He looked up at Y/N for a second and saw him moving his right hand towards him, realizing he must have been the one doing it.
Rappa turned back to the flying gym equipment a second later, feeling a slight smile forming on his face as he was up for the challenge of knocking each item away from him once it would get close to him. He started swinging his fists at the floating gym equipment a second later as the rest of it had finally reached him. He continued to do it for several more seconds, making sure not a single item from the gym equipment hit him.
After knocking the last part of the gym equipment away from him, Rappa shifted his gaze back to Y/N and was immediately greeted with red energy covered fist flying at him. Y/N, who had returned to the ground a few seconds later, punched the yakuza member right in the chest and and swung his fists at Rappa a few more times, managing to punch him a few more times.
Not wasting any time, Rappa striked back and swung his fist at Y/N. Y/N backed away from it, managing to avoid his strike just in time. He proceeded to back away from Rappa, waiting for the perfect opportunity to punch him as Rappa kept swinging his fists at him in a rapid manner, moving closer to Y/N with each punch he had directed his way and not thinking about stopping until he'll manage to land a hit on the h/c haired boy.
The h/c haired boy felt how his eyes widened as he proceeded to back away from Rappa as a way of avoiding his constant attacks. He already expected him to be fast in his strikes, but didn't expect him to be this fast. He looked at Twice for a split second and saw him watching the fight from where he stood with a worried look on his face next to with an equally worried Toga. Y/N shook his head at him, letting him know it wasn't the time to put his part of the plan into action.
Looking at Twice for a split second turned out to be a giant mistake on Y/N's part as it gave Rappa a perfect opportunity to land a punch on him. Y/N clenched his teeth as the force of the punch was so strong it knocked him away from Rappa and send him flying into the wall behind him. The h/c haired boy let out a painful grunt as he collided with the wall, creating a small hole behind him.
Y/N let out a deep breath as he realized he couldn't give up right now, because it would ruin the plan he had came up with. Just as he was about to bring himself back on his feet, a yellow protective shield formed around him out of thin air. He looked around himself, trying to locate the source of it and set his eyes on Tengai. He must have taken the view of him getting knocked into a wall by Rappa as the reason to end the fight between him and Rappa.
"No." Y/N waved his hand Tengai, letting him know he wanted to the fight to continue as he got up from the floor, "You can disable this shield. I want to continue this fight."
"Are you sure?" Tengai wanted to know if Y/N was sure about it.
Y/N nodded at him, "Yes. I'll let you know when I want this fight to end."
Tengai nodded back at him, reluctantly disabling the shield around Y/N, "Very well."
The yellow shield vanished from Y/N in an instant as Y/N wasted no time and got himself back on his feet. Red energy started to circle around his hands as Rappa smiled slightly at the view of it, feeling a tiny bit of respect for Y/N grow within him. Not wasting any time, Y/N pushed himself into charge towards Rappa as he knew he had to do everything in his power to let his fight continue otherwise it would put an end to his plan.
Y/N had been knocked into the wall by Rappa two mores times during his fight with the yakuza member as it continued for a couple more minutes. The h/c haired boy could feel himself becoming weaker with each time it happened and felt bruises forming on his body, making him grateful he left his mask in Toga's care during his fight with Toga as he was certain his mask would end up getting damaged if he didn't.
Tengai felt how his eyes widened as Y/N started to push himself back to his feet after getting knocked into the wall by one of Rappa's punches for the third time. The saying he was fighting an urge to create the protective shield around him to put an end to this fight was the understatement of the century. Twice and Toga watched how their friend ended up getting into the wall over and over again with worry evident on their faces, the former asking himself when was Y/N going to give him the signal he was supposed to be waiting for.
He got his answer a few seconds later as Y/N did a gesture with his hand was supposed to be waiting for when he start to push himself back to his feet. He nodded to himself and immediately went to work. He wasted no time with his work as he knew he had to hurry. Y/N had put his trust in him with his plan and he was not going to mess this up. He was not going to mess up after his fellow members fo the League put their trust in him. Not again.
"He still wants to fight even after I punched him into the wall a few times?" Rappa thought to himself with a grin larger than before, feeling his respect for the h/c haired boy grow each time he had gotten himself back on his feet. Many other people in his situation would have knocked out or would have already given up and yet this kid was still going at it, despite the fact he was becoming more refuted each time his punch knocked him into the wall.
"Come on." Y/N told him, knowing what was going to happen in a few seconds from now on, "Let's do this."
Rappa nodded at him, his grin refusing to leave his face, "Alright kid! Let's finish this!"
He and Y/N charged at each other, both of them intending to put an end to this fight once and for all. Y/N once again made himself float above the ground with his Quirk and made sure to his Quirk to find himself behind Rappa. Rappa quickly turned around and saw Y/N standing in the distance. He charged at him, his intention staying the same as he wanted finish this fight once and for all.
He never made it to Y/N, though. He froze dead in his tracks before he could reach the h/c haired boy, confusing himself as he knew he wasn't the one doing this. He looked around his body and saw red energy circling around it. It wasn't long before the realization of what was happening right now hit him like a ton of bricks as he recalled Y/N mentioning he could use his Quirk to make one person freeze in their place back when he explained his Quirk to Overhaul.
Y/N stepped towards Rappa a few seconds later, intending to do something to end this fight as Rappa did everything in his power to free himself from Y/N's grasp. Just as the h/c haired boy about a meter or two away from him, something must have happened as Rappa was freed from the grasp of his Quirk. Not wasting any time, Rappa wasted no time and hit Y/N with a firm strong punch.
Rappa's punch didn't knock Y/N into a wall, though. It instead made him fall apart right before his eyes. Rappa felt how his eyes widened in confusion, having not expected this to happen. The realization it must have been one of Twice's clone popped into his mind a second later. It was when something made a noise behind him as the real Y/N appeared behind him with a ball of red energy formed around his right fist.
Rappa immediately turned around to face the real Y/N as the real Y/N didn't have him enough time to attack him. The h/c haired boy punched him right in the face with the red energy ball he had formed around his fist when his clone kept Rappa frozen in one place. The force of this punch was strong that it send Rappa away from him and knocked him to the floor.
Y/N looked at Rappa with a suprised look on his face, having suprised even himself with the force of his punch as he watched how Rappa landed on the floor several meters away from him. He collapsed on the floor a few seconds later, finally giving in to the exhaustion he felt because of his fight with Rappa. Words couldn't describe how relieved he was he trained his Quirk endurance after the failed attack at the USJ otherwise he was certain he would be dealing with a massive headache right now.
Toga made her way to him a few seconds later and pushed him up from the floor, making his sit up. She got herself on her knees on his right and looked at her friend with a smile on her face, wrapping her arm around him, making sure won't fall to the floor again, "You did it, Y/N! You won."
"Your plan worked, Y/N! He was fooled by the clone I made of you, just like you hoped he would!" Twice added, getting himself on his knees on Y/N's left.
"It surely did." Y/N smiled at Twice, "Good work, Twice. I knew I could count on your help."
"Thanks." Twice smiled back at him underneath his mask, feeling touched and happy on the inside by the fact he finally managed to do something to help someone from the League, "I didn't do it for you!"
"See Y/N?" Toga asked, "You didn't need to doubt yourself before your fight with Rappa, after all."
Y/N shifted his gaze to her, replying to her the same way he replied whenever someone complimented him, "If you say so, Toga-chan."
Rappa brought himself back on his feet as Tengai walked over to him and stopped next to him. Tengai asked him if he was alright as Rappa didn't answer to his question and instead focused all of his attention on the three members of the League in front of him, specifically on Y/N. This boy from the League had really managed to knock him to the ground and defeat him. He didn't felt any anger towards him, though. He instead something something that grew the longer the fight went on. Respect.
He pushed himself into walk towards them as Tengai silently followed him. He stopped in front of them a few seconds later, causing the three villains from the League to look at him, "You defeated me."
Toga narrowed her eyes at him, "What do you want? Will you try to play the sore loser?"
"No." Rappa shook his head as he turned away from them and pushed himself into walk forward himself, "Come on, kid. Let's get you patched up. I think you might be needing it right now."
Y/N pointed at the gym equipment on the floor, "What about the mess I made when I tossed the gym equipment at you?"
"We'll take care of this later." Tengai replied, "For now, let's check if you received any severe wounds during this fight."
Y/N shifted his gaze between Tengai and Rappa, seeing their offer was genuine and sensing no ill intent in their voices, "...Alright."
"Let me help you, Y/N." Twice said as he helped Y/N up and wrapped his arm around himself, intending to help him move towards whenver Rappa and Tengai would take a look at him state following his fight with Rappa.
Toga shook her head as she followed them, thinking to herself, "Good thing Origami-chan is not here. I can only imagine how worried she would be if she saw this fight."

About an hour have passed since Y/N and Rappa's fight. Y/N, Toga, Twice, Rappa and Tengai were together in the room where Rappa and Tengai took Y/N, Toga and Twice after Y/N and Rappa's fight ended in order to take a look at Y/N's state. Tengai asked Y/N to take off his shirt and Y/N did as he was instructed, allowing Tengai to take a look at the bruises and cuts he had gotten on his chest from his fight with Rappa.
"So. How it is?" Y/N asked Tengai, looking down at the dressings on his chest as Tengai turned away from him and moved towards the sink, "Is it good or bad?"
"Somewhere in the middle." Tengai gave him an honest answer as he turned on the sink and put his hands under the running water, "Your bruises and cuts will heal as the time will over time but on yours I would stay away from exercise for two or three days."
"Okay. I'll keep it in mind." Y/N nodded in understanding, looking at the yakuza member with a grateful look on his face. He stood up from his seat and put his shirt back on himself, "Thank you for taking a look at my wounds."
Tengai nodded at him, turning off the sink, "It was no problem."
"Hey, kid." Rappa called out for Y/N, standing in the corner of the room with his arms crossed.
Y/N turned to look at him, "Just call me Y/N."
"Alright. Y/N." Rappa nodded at him, "What was up with your last punch? It was much stronger than any other punches you hit me with during our fight."
"I think it must have had something to do with the ball of the red energy that I had formed around my fist when my clone kept you frozen in one place." Y/N explained, giving him the only explanation he could think of right now.
Twice rubbed the back of his head, "So what. Was it something in a state of super move?"
"Y/N. Why didn't you tell us you could do with your Quirk?" Toga asked, "I thought the only thing you could do with red energy balls was send them at your opponents."
"To be honest I didn't know I could do it myself." Y/N admitted, looking down at his hands, "I know my punches were stronger when I have red energy circling around my hands, but I didn't know just how strong they can get when I punch someone with after managing to form a ball of red energy around it. Everytime when I formed a ball of red energy around my palms, I would just send it towards my opponent instead of trying to punch them with it."
Tengai turned away from the now turned off sink to look at Y/N, "If you didn't know it yourself, how did you know it would work?"
"I didn't." Y/N responded as he shifted his gaze to him, "My original plan was to send a ball of red energy at Rappa with hopes it would knock him to the ground. Me punching him instead was a split second decision I made when I was about to attack him."
Tengai nodded in understanding, "I see."
"Did you come up with a name for it?" Twice asked.
Y/N raised his brow at him, "What?"
"A name for your new super move." Twice explained, "Did you come up with a name for it?"
Y/N shook his head, "No. Didn't thought about it, yet. Why are you asking? Do you have an idea for a name?"
"No. Just asking." Twice shook his head, "Yes. I did and it's awesome!"
Y/N nodded at him, "Okay. Let me know if you'll think of something."
"Do you really want me to name it? It's your super move. You should come up with a name for it." Twice pointed out.
"I wouldn't have discovered it if you didn't agree to help me. You deserve to help me to name this." Y/N pointed out in return, smilling at his fellow villain, "If you will think of a good name for this, just let me know and I'll decide what to do with it."
"Okay! I'll make sure it will be good." Twice nodded at him, "It will be much better than anything you could come up with."
Y/N shifted his gaze to Toga, "The same goes for you, Toga-chan."
Toga smiled and nodded at him, "Okay."
Y/N shifted his gaze to Rappa, "Rappa. Now it's my turn to ask you something."
Rappa looked at him questioningly, "What do you want to know?"
"Why are you with Overhaul, despite your clear dislike of him?" Y/N asked, finally bringing up the matter he wanted to talk with Rappa about.
"That's 'cause Overjerk was the only person I ever lost to. Or rather was the only person I lost to until today." Rappa answered as Y/N eyes widened upon realizing he must have been the second person to defeat Rappa. Twice and Twice seemed suprised by this revelation as well, "He told me to join, coming out of nowhere, picking a fight. Of course, I left it up to who won. And then, I died. But just when I thought that, I was back to normal."
"What? Overhaul can bring people back to life?" Y/N asked, suprise evident in his voice.
"Yes." Rappa nodded in confirmation, "It happened to me about five more times."
"Five times? He handled your power and speed five times?" Twice asked, sweatdropping underneath his mask. Y/N was barely able to catch up with Rappa's fighting during his fight with him today and barely managed to win with him. How strong was Overhaul is he was able to win with Rappa this many times, "You should have just watch out for his hand, idiot!"
"I see." Y/N nodded in understanding, now knowing what was Rappa doing with Overhaul despite his clear dislike of him, "Have you ever thought about leaving Shie Hassaikai, though?"
"I did. I'm staying here in order to beat Overjerk." Rappa responded, "Why are you asking?"
"I just got curious." Y/N replied, "However, should you decide to leave the Shie Hassaikai, we will welcome you to the League of Villains with open arms." He shifted his gaze from him to Tengai, "The same goes for you Tengai-san. Your protective yellow shield is something the League would make a great use of." He shifted his gaze back to Rappa, "The League could use someone with your abilities. I can see you are someone who loves to fight. I'm sure you'll find yourself in the future fights the League will find themselves in. In the League we do not treat our comrades were expendable."
"I can vouch for this!" Toga added, seeing what Y/N was trying to do right now and wanted to help him with it, "Y/N and Tomura-kun treat me like a normal person and don't see me like a freak. The same goes for the rest of the League!"
"They accepted me for the way I am and don't see me like an outcast." Twice nodded in agreement. He thought about adding the fact they didn't treat him like a screw up for bringing in Overhaul which resulted in the League finding itself on the yakuza's leash, but ultimate didn't add it as he figured out it would be for the best if he kept it to himself. He didn't want to cause Y/N and Toga more problems by getting them involved in his problems.
Tengai nodded in understanding, "I see."
"I'll keep your offer in mind, kid." Rappa replied, his mask hiding the interested look he had on his face right now, "I can't make any promises, though."
"Okay. I understand. I don't want to force either of you into something you don't want to do." Y/N replied, looking at them with a look of understanding on his face.
"I can show you teach you some of my fighting moves during your stay here, though." Rappa offered.
Tengai shifted his gaze to him, "Rappa..."
"Really?" Y/N asked.
"Yes." Rappa nodded in confirmation, "With your red energy punches being one of your main attacks, you could some improvement in your fighting skiils. From the way you were fighting, I could tell you haven't had a chance to train with a person experience in this matter for a while."
"Sure." Y/N smiled at Rappa gratefully, accepting his offer, "Thank you for the offer. I really would like to improve this part of my fighting."
"What about your wounds?" Tengaiasked, gesturing to Y/N's chest, "Did you forgot what I just told you? You should stay away from the exercise for two or three days."
"We can always wait with this training until those days pass." Y/N replied. He looked at Rappa questioningly, "Right, Rappa?"
"Sounds good to me." Rappa nodded. From the tone of his voice, Y/N could tell Rappa was smilling underneath his mask, "What do you say? Deal?"
Y/N took his hand into his and shook his head, smilling back at the yakuza member, "It's a deal."

Well. Here we go with another chapter. Writing it took me a bit longer than I expected (the section with Rappa was the most time consuming and the fight between him and Y/N went through two rewrites before I ultimately settled down with what you saw in the chapter). I would have gotten this chapter out earlier, but recently I came back to my RWBY Isekai OC fanfiction after almost a year and a half and wrote about three chapters for it in three weeks. The next chapter will show the events of the raid and I'm really looking forward to writing it :)
The new Total Drama season leaked online in english and I watched it (Just couldn't help myself). What do I have to say about it? I liked it (maybe except episode 5. People who saw the new season will probably know why I dislike this episode). It was definitely better than All Stars and Pahkitew Island. The cast was enjoyable (except Ripper and Chase. I hate these two. Especially Ripper. He's like a mix of Owen and Duncan with their likeable traits taken away. He became one of my most disliked TD characters alongside Sugar and Amy), the challenges were nice and I like how they toned down when it came to Chris. He was still the same host we know and alove but wasn't as psychotic as he was in All Stars and Pahkitew Island.
The new Demon Slayer episodes came out as well and I liked them. Can't wait to see all the fight scenes ahead of us in this season.
Also, a friend of @StolasKnights made a bio for Y/N with his own interpretation of Y/N's looks in his both villain costume and civilian clothes.
Here's Y/N in his villain costume:
