A eleven-years old, red haired girl with bright green eyes and pale skin with freckles stares at the TV with wide eyes as she looks at a young, muscular man with red hair and green eyes as well as wearing a red/black suit with a red cape on TV.

The man is surrounded by adoring people and talking to the news reporter as he's giving an interview. The girl looks at her parents, where the mother has black hair and blue eyes, while the man has brown hair and grey eyes, where she asks, "Will I become a hero? Like big bro?"

The mother smiles softly and nods, which the girl gasps in joy and stares back excitedly where she thinks, ("I'm gonna be just like you, bro!")

(Present)

The same red haired girl, who is now a 22-years-old woman wearing a white dress-suit with white tights underneath with a black belt with red star buckle, red twinkle symbol on her chest, white, long fingerless gloves and boots.

She stands in front of a massive tower with an logo 'HS'. She takes a deep breath and smiles determinedly as she thinks, ("I've been waiting for this ever since I was eleven. This is finally my chance!")

The moment she steps into the door... someone rapidly speeds past her, causing her to swirl and starts getting dizzy while groaning, "Oww..."

Just before she was about to collapse, the fast person rushes back in to catch her and says, "Hey there! Sorry about that! I was in a bit of a rush!"

"... Uh... huh...?" The woman stares back at the man, who looks around his early thirties, with dyed blonde hair, electric blue eyes and pale skin. He wears a green jumpsuit. "H-Hello...?"

"Hey there!" The man greeted her as he helped her up and said, "You must be the new recruit GUARD told us, right?"

"Y-Yeah. My name is Lexi." The woman named Lexi introduced herself, "My hero name is Lady Protect!"

"Oh! Like your brother's hero name is called The Defender?" The man commented as Lexi nodded, "Nice! Name's Zac. Hero name's Comet Dash!"

"Pleasure to meet you!" Lexi said as they both shook their hands.

"Oh shit! I should get back to HQ!" Zac remembered and shouted, "Come with me!" As he grabs her hand.

"W-Wait!" Lexi blurted out, but Zac, using his super speed, rushes through the stairs despite there's an elevator and, within a minute, arrives at the base room where there's luxurious couches, a large TV, balcony and a kitchen corner.

"Hey guys! I got the newbie here!" Zac yelled out.

Then, a woman comes with large falcon wings, auburn, messy hair and grey eyes. She hops from the balcony and flaps her wings a bit as she safely lands the floor. She walks up to the two and says, "Ah! You must be Lexi, Ryan's sister, right?"

"Y-Yeah!" Lexi confirmed nervously.

"Hehe, it's okay," The woman assured her, "No need to be nervous. We're all friends here. I'm sure you already know, but my name is Scarlet AKA Falcon Slice."

"Y-Yeah! Of course!" Lexi stuttered as she blushed a bit out of shyness.

"Like I said, there's no need to be nervous," Scarlet assured her, "After all, we're teammates now."

"T-Thank you..." Lexi thanked her.

Another man walks in and groans. He has slick dark blue hair, pointy ears, small horns and has a vision that covers his eye. He looks at the red haired girl and says, "Ugh. A newbie who has never had experience before. What are we? An internship?"

"Oliver. This is Ryan's sister you're talking to." Scarlet defended her.

"So? You expect me to give her special treatment just because of who her brother is?" The man named Oliver complained. "Not going to happen."

"Come on, man." Zac called him out, "She just got here and you're already giving her a hard time!"

"Psst, having a newbie here would only hinder our team!" Oliver argued back, "We need an experienced hero, not someone who had no idea how the hero society works!"

"Hey! What's with the arguments?" Another woman called out as she walked up to the group.

She is a very tall woman who has long, icy blue hair, very pale skin, blue eyes that resemble sapphire crystals, and blue lips. She wears a regal, white dress that blends well with her skin, and blue diamond earrings.

"It's Oliver being an dick again!" Zac told her.

"I am not!" Oliver denied it, "I am simply pointing out that having a newcomer would not benefit us at all."

Lexi frowns a bit from his comment, then the woman says, "Come on now. You shouldn't be mean to her. Since she is Ryan's sister, I am sure she's very capable, now let me take care of her. Ok?"

"... Tch..." Oliver kisses his teeth and looks away, "Whatever. I'm leaving."

Just like that, Oliver leaves the room. Scarlet takes a deep breath and says, "Thanks Holly. We needed that."

"No problem, Scarlet." Holly tells her and turns to Lexi, where she asks, "So... if I remember correctly, you're Lexi, correct?"

"Y-Yes, your highness!" Lexi stuttered nervously in the presence of royalty.

"It's okay, no need for formalities." Holly assured her, "Just call me, Holly."

"Y-Yes, H-Holly!" Lexi told her shyly.

"Good girl!" Holly replies, reassuringly

Then, a man who looks a bit like Lexi, except he doesn't have the freckles, looks older than her and wears an black/red suit. He says, "Mmm? I see Oliver being grumpy again. Wha- huh? Sis?"

Lexi gasps in happiness and blurts out, "A-Ah! Big bro!"

She rushes up to him as she hugs her older brother, who hugs her back and she asks, "How are you?!"

"Hehe. I'm doing well, Lexi." The man named Ryan chuckled as he pets her head and messes with her hair, "Welcome to the team!"

"H-Hey!" Lexi blurted out as she pushed her brother gently to avoid using her full strength, "Don't mess up my hair! Mum worked hard on it!"

"Is that so?" Ryan asked as he crossed his arm, "Then I apologize for ruining all of her hard work."

Lexi rolls her eyes, crosses her arms and pouts as Scarlet blushes a bit and says, "Aww! Cute!" While Zac ignores her cuteness overload and asks, "Hey leader! Got any big missions from the big guys?"

"Yes. It's a rather simple one." Ryan explained to his teammates, "It's basically guarding a bank since the investigation team from GUARD says a group of thieves would come to a bank. But we don't know which one."

"... Mmm..." Lexi thinks for a moment.

"Maybe if we can have Zac run around to check for suspicious cars?" Holly suggested.

"Mmm... What do you think, leader?" Zac asked their leader, who shook his head. "Eh?! Why not!?"

"Because, it would make it too obvious to the robbers that you would notice you patrolling." Ryan explained, "So, it would be safer to send in Lexi as she is both unknown and best suited for this type of work. Scarlet would be best suited for aerial reconnaissance and backup, Zac would be better used in checking the surrounding buildings for an optimal escape route, as for Holly and myself we will be waiting there to take care of any unknown elements that the Criminals brought with them."

"Of course. Did you tell Oliver about it?" Holly asked him, "After all, he's still our teammate. So, maybe he can be our sniper?"

"He's already aware of his role in the upcoming conflict, there's no need for me to spell it out for him, isn't that right Oliver?" Ryan said as he turned around, where the group sees that Oliver was eavesdropping the entire time.

"Yeah, yeah I got it. Don't let anyone escape right?" Oliver groaned, annoyed.

"Yes. So, sis, can you handle this?" Ryan asked his younger sister, who nodded determinedly.

"O-Of course, Ryan!" Lexi stuttered a bit.

"Good. There is one suspected place that GUARD did tell us. Let's go, team!" Ryan cheered as the whole group rushed to the exit for their mission.

"Yay team." Oliver mumbled while running with them while he grumbled, "I don't get enough for this shit..."

(Later in a bank)

People enter and exit out of a bank with black and gold designs with black, marble floor, red couches and plant pots. Lexi, in a simple overalls and red T-shirt, sitting on the couch as she puts her hand on her ear and whispers, "I'm in, Defender."

Meanwhile outside of the bank, Oliver is standing atop of another building while Ryan takes out his own walkie talkie and replies "Hm, I see. Keep looking, and try not to make it obvious, the guards might think you're a robber yourself."

"A-O-Of course!" Lexi stutters as she calls off and takes a deep breath, as she thinks, ("That would be so awkward if that happened... ha ha... Ahhh!!! Mm?")

She looks up from the ground and sees a man taking something out that looks like a grenade. Lexi's eyes widen, face turns pale and thinks, ("SHIT!").

Without hesitation and a single thought, she rushes to the man and tackles him, which the guy drops the grenade, and creates a massive commotion as the civilians are confused while the policemen were about to stop the fighting... until it just blows up smoke like some sort of smoke bomb.

("It wasn't an grenade!") Lexi realised, ("That was an smoke bomb!")

The entire bank is covered in smoke and three other men take out their guns and point them at the civilians. One of them looks impatient and is about to pull the trigger.

Lexi noticed this and yelled, "... No!" which got the robbers attention, who took their focus away from the civilians. Using her speed, Lexi tackles the one who was about to shoot, making the others aim at her.

"Wha-Oh fuck!" One of them yelled in agony, being struck by a laser.

Oliver groaned, scolding Lexi by saying, "You really fucked this up, newbie! Now I've gotta clean up your damn mess!"

"Dude! C'mon!" Zac interrupts him, defending Lexi

Lexi spoke up, saying, "He was about to throw a bloody grenade!"

While that quick argument was happening, Ryan flies to the robber Lexi tackles and throws him down hard, knocking him out.

"... Fuck this shit! I'm-AHHH!" Another Robber spoke he realised his feet are suddenly frozen

"Got him!" Holly said to the others, placing the robber she captured in handcuffs.

"I knew I could count on you as always, Miss Holly. Now, let's deal with the rest of these criminal scum and go back to Headquarters for some rest and relaxation." Ryan said, proudly to his squad before giving an oddly menacing smile.

"Ugh. We could have done a better job if it wasn't for that newbie!" Oliver stated, scolding Lexi again.

"At least we got the job done!" Lexi replied, still a bit nervous from how sudden and fast everything was.

Scarlet came back over to the others, informing them, "Hey guys. I knocked out the rest of the guys in a getaway vehicle. I already called the police to handle the rest!"

"Great work, now we just have to restrain them and let the authorities handle the rest." Ryan stated, to Oliver's dismay.

"Tch, letting the normies get all the glory again huh? What a pain." He said in pure annoyance and boredom

Zac somewhat snapped back at Oliver, saying, "Dude. Please. Take a chill pill!"

Oliver also snapped but more evidently and harshly, replying, "Oh shut up! Ugh... I'm gonna go read a book and get some coffee. You people are making me stressed!"

Holly began talking, saying, "That's part of the contracts we signed when we became heroes" before looking again and declaring, "and he's gone."

Ryan notices this, saying, "Don't get too worked up about it, it's simply the way he is."

Holly nods, saying, "You have a point there, Ryan."

During this, a phone starts to ring the standard iPhone ringtone and vibrates and Ryan looks at Lexi.

"... Mmm? Sorry, can I take this?" Lexi says, blushing slightly from embarrassment of not putting her phone on silent.

Ryan chuckles and replies, "Take your time, sis."

After a few minutes, Ryan decides to check on Lexi to see if she's finished the phone call. While he didn't hear the phone call, he did hear, "... Yes... mmm... ok. Got it!" from Lexi before hanging up.

Ryan taps her shoulder, asking, "Was that your boyfriend? Oh, my little sister is growing up so fast, it brings a tear to my eye!"

Lexi turns bright red and turns to face Ryan, stuttering "N-Nooo! That was dad, you idiot! He called me to pick up some things, that's all!"

Ryan chuckles, "Hahaha, I was messing with you little sis, now why don't you hurry along then? Since it was our father who called, you can't afford to be late now can you?"

"Hehe. Definitely! Thanks! See ya bro!" Lexi says, before starting to leave before being stopped by Scarlet.

Scarlet smiles at her, stating "Good job today!"

Zac agrees, stating "Totally!" in a very upbeat tone.

"I agree as well!" Holly started, before continuing with, "I have no doubt you'll become a great hero just like your brother!" in a reassuring tone.

Lexi smiled at them, replying, "Hehe! Thanks guys!" before running from them and flying off as the Hero Squad wave their hands at her except Oliver, who just scoffs.
