Memories of The Past
~Flash Back~
A little girl walked into the classroom, the teacher putting a hand on her shoulder. "Everyone, this is (Y/N) (L/N). Be sure to give her a warm welcome. (L/N) do you mind if they ask you questions?" The teacher asked. The little girl shook her head slowly. "What's your Quirk?" An ash blond boy asked. The girl tensed up. "My...Quirk?" She asked. "Yeah! What can you do?" Another kid asked. She opened her mouth before closing it again and shaking her head. "S-sorry. That's one question I won't answer." She said, bowing to the class, causing everyone to be both curious and confused. Other than that no one asked questions and she took an empty seat next to a green haired boy in the back.
The recess bell rung and the little girl sat under a tree with a book. "Hey!" She looked up to see the ash blond kid from earlier along with three other boys. One of which being the green haired male she sat next to. "Why didn't you say anything about your Quirk!?" He growled at her. She opened her mouth before closing it again. She shook her head and stood up. She gave him a stern look. "People don't like me when they know what my Quirk is. It scares them." She said. "Ha! Your Quirk can't scare me! I could blow you to bits!" The ash blond stated cockily. The girl sighed and her eyes glowed a bit. "Trust me." She muttered. "If you know what it was, you'd fear me as well." And with that she turned and walked away.
"HEY! GET BACK HERE!!!"
"W-w-wait Kacchan don't!"
Silence...
The ash blond male fell back on his a*s as the (H/C) haired female stood there, her eyes glowing. He started scrambling back, away from her. "W-w-what the heck!? W-w-what did you do to me!? What was that!?" He shouted. "Y-YOU'RE A FREAK!!!" He cried, standing up and running away, his lackies following him. The little girl sighed sadly, unfortunately used to that kind of reaction. The little green haired boy stared at her in wonder. "Whoa!" He said in amazement. "That was so cool! How did you do that!? Is that your Quirk!?" He asked. The little girl stared at the boy, both in confusion and in wonder. "My name is Izuku Midoriya! I-if you don't mind I'd like to learn m-more about your Quirk!" He said cheerfully. "DEKU C'MON LET'S GO!!!" The ash blond boy shouted. The little boy flinched before smiling nervously at the little girl. "L-let's talk later." He said before running off.
The next day she was approached again by the green haired boy. Rumor of the girl's Quirk had spread like wildfire throughout the school. But the boy was still undaunted by her and her Quirk. "H-hi (L/N)! Do you want to play with me at recess today?" He asked. The girl was once again shocked and nodded. The boy smiled widely at her, seeming very happy that she agreed. Once recess began the two stood by the small oak tree that was growing in the school yard. "Okay! So what do you want to do?" The boy asked. The girl shrugged. "Hm...how about tag?" He questioned. "U-um...w-what's tag...?" The girl asked, fidgeting nervously. The boy tilted his head at her before smiling. "It's a really simple game! One of us is 'it' and has to chase the other. Once you touch the other person, they're it! And then they have to chase you." He said. The girl nodded slowly. "O-okay....I'll be it first then?" She said in a questioning tone. "Okay! Try to catch me then!" The boy said, starting to run from her. She started to give chase and eventually caught up with him and tagged him before running away. "I'm gonna get you (L/N)!" He shouted, chasing after her. The girl started laughing a little as they continued back and forth. For the first time in her life, starting to have fun. Once the bell rung and they head back inside, the girl looked at the green haired boy. "C-can you teach me another game tomorrow?" She asked. They boy shot her a smile. "Of course!" He replied.
The next day he taught her hide n' seek. The day after it was Rock Paper Scissors. And he continued teaching her games like Tick Tac Toe, Hot n' Cold, I Spy, Marbles, Catch, and Jump Rope. In class they played things like Musical Chairs and Red Light Green Light with other kids. While during the preschool's sports festival there were things like Capture the Flag and Tug a War. The girl was good at games. And she had a lot of fun playing with the boy. But after a while, they started revisiting games. Hide n' Seek and Tag were some of their favorites. But one day as they were talking in class the boy mentioned that he was going into the doctor's over the weekend to find out what Quirk he was getting. She smiled at him and pat his shoulder, happy for him. "Once you know I better be the first one to know what it is Izuku!" She said. "Of course you will!" He said with a smile. The girl lived decently close to the boy's apartment and walked there on the weekends from time to time or they'd meet up in the nearby park. Today, she was walking to his apartment. Once she got there she rang the doorbell, a teary Inko answering the door. She beckoned the girl in and told her Izuku was in his room. She walked in to find the boy in tears. She quickly hugged him and asked what was wrong, if he was okay, and everything else she could under the sun.
He was Quirkless. But (Y/N) didn't care. Izuku was still her friend.
Years ticked by and (Y/N) had to use her Quirk a few more times to protect Izuku. Pretty soon she just had to yell "don't make me use my Quirk on you" to get kids to back off. Even Bakugo chilled out since (Y/N) never left Izuku's side around them. They still played together. They still talked and visited eachother. But when they both turned seven, something happened.
And Izuku was gone...
(Y/N) was alone again. Everyone afraid of her Quirk, and those that didn't wouldn't bother talking to her anyways. She was lonely. She didn't have someone to play with anymore. She couldn't bring herself to participate in any games without him. She always called in sick during school sports festivals. And during recess she'd just sit under the oak tree and read. No one bothered her, no one cared about her.
She was completely isolated.
Once she reached her final year of middle school, she decided that since the heroes stopped searching for Izuku, she'd do it herself. She decided to enter into UA. She's the one that saved Bakugo by using her Quirk to stop the Sludge Villain, but only because she knew that's what Izuku would do. All Might himself stopped to comment on her bravery (though he did this by calling her over the phone. She didn't even want to know how he managed to get her number). She asked him if he could recommend her into UA but he said he wouldn't be able to (she knew it was a lie, he wanted to get off the phone with her as quickly as possible and hung up after saying no. It really p*ssed her off).
She got in through the practical exams by destroying robots physically since her Quirk couldn't work on them. She used the parts of broken robots to make makeshift EMPs to take down more for herself and would use them to also save a few people. It was a good thing she was smart and studied different things than what the school taught them on her own time. She prepared herself with everything she could think of that would help her find and save her friend. She got a lot of Rescue Points and Villain Points and managed to scrape by and get into Class 1-A. She saved Ochako Uraraka from the Zero Pointer and befriended Tenya Iida by being someone who was saving others during the practical. She got near perfect scores on the entrance exam test and was acing everything in the classes. Putting her up in the ranks with the like of Momo Yaoyorozu. She refused to use her Quirk since her class didn't know about it yet. Bakugo had kindly KEPT his MOUTH SHUT for ONCE in his LIFE. (Y/N) suspected it was because she saved him and this was his way of repaying her. She wasn't letting people in. She had people she could consider friends in that class but she wasn't as close with them as she was with Izuku. And she planned on keeping it that way. For as long as she could. Because if they found out...and they started avoiding her too...she wanted to have that distance. She didn't want to be hurt again.
She would do anything to find him...to find her missing half. They were outcasts together, and she swore to herself that she'd find him. Its like the old saying goes.
"You want to do something right, you gotta do it yourself."
