"Amma!" Tuh grabs her.

We had returned home. Of course, Captain had to haul me. My injuries have gotten worse, and my ribs were cracked. I feel like I broke my spine. We exchange looks, me and the captain. I let out a breath as the humans reunite.

"We must not tell the Chancelor about these creatures." Captain says.

I nod. 

"Thank you. Thank you." Amaka hugs me.

I wince. She puts her hand on my cheek.

"You are one of the strongest." She takes off her necklace made of beads and a tooth. 

"Amaka-" Tuh starts walking forward.

"Here. You have earned the jewel of the sky." She smiles.

"Are you sure?" I ask.

I lower my head. She places it on me watching the horns. I hold it up. It's beautiful. I can feel something in the necklace. Energy. Like magic. Like the breath of this world. I look up. They all clap at us.

"I am ready to go home." I say to Captain.

"It'll be a long walk." He says.

"It doesn't have to be." Amma says.

We look at her. I feel a nudge. I turn. The Triceratops licks me. I jump.

"She kind of likes you." She says.

"I can tell." I say wiping the slime from my face. 

"Please, stay." Tuh says.

"I can't." I say. 

The captain helps me onto her. Another small animal was brought out. Captain hops onto the feathered bird horse. I wince. I let out a breath. I am... sad that I have to go, but it is better. I have to keep fighting in this war. I take up my spear. We start heading out.

"Please, be safe!" She calls.

"Of course, and don't worry. I'll come back soon!" I call.
